초등학교 구강보건교육의 목표 시안개발 (Development of Goals Tentative of Dental Health Education in the Elementary Schools)

  • The purpose of this study was focus on development of educational objectives by using oral health education in the elementary school from now on. Based on the results of analysis compared with a model of educational objectives and contents by reflecting the programs for analysis were the oral health education programs of the Ministry of health and social Affairs in Korea, and the programs of two states in u.s. in order to construct goals and contents of oral health education in school. The results in this study can be arranged as follows: First, an analysis on the educational objectives of dental health education program resulted that, from a viewpoint of Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives, in case of domestic, most learning objectives expressed in the handbook of Ministry of Health and social Welfare were given too much emphasis to the cognitive domain of 37 an items in all. Affective domain were appeared the lack of balance of the development domain. Second, the result of analysis for the programs of two states of America, the cognitive domain were the most abundant of 48 an items in all, and were not significantly different to those of Korea in the form of objectives domain or statement. However a big different was shown that they organized the same objectives domain as a pattern of repeating and deepening at every grade. Third, in this study, 10 educational objectives of dental health education were established, based on the result of analyzing those existing educational programs as central figure. Those are oral cavity, brushing, nutrition of teeth, fluoride, flossing, teeth injury, dental decay, periodontal disease, malocclusion, routine dental visits. And general objectives and specific objectives of each learning area were stated and arranged grade by grade.

변경된 IDCT를 이용한 압축 영역에서의 영상 축소 및 확대 기법 (Image Downsizing and Upsizing Scheme in the Compressed Domain Using Modified IDCT)

  • 영상압축기술의 발전으로 인하여 디지털 영상은 대부분 압축된 형태로 사용된다. 이러한 압축된 영상을 축소 및 확대하는 것은 네트웍환경에서의 대역폭에 따른 축소된 영상 전송과 디스플레이 장치에 맞는 크기로의 영상 조절 등 다양한 응용에 사용 가능하다. 가장 대표적인 압축 방식은 DCT를 이용해서 영상을 부호화하는 것이다. 최근 DCT로 부호화된 영상에 대해 DCT 영역에서 직접 축소한 후 다시 DCT 영역에서 확대해 원래 크기의 DCT로 부호화된 영상을 얻는 방법에 대한 연구가 진행되어왔다. 이러한 연구의 주관심사는 최종적으로 부호화된 결과 영상의 화질을 개선하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 DCT로 부호화된 영상을 축소하기 위해, 변경된 IDCT 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 변경된 IDCT 방법을 사용해서 DCT 영역에서 직접 축소된 영상을 얻는 방법과 이에 대응하는 확대된 영상을 얻는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 제시된 영상 축소 방법과 확대 방법을 같이 사용함으로써 DCT 영역에서 축소 후 확대된 영상은 가장 최근에 제안된 방법들보다 높은 PSNR값을 나타낸다.

Ultrafast probes of coherent oscillations in Fe-based superconductors

  • Forefront ultrafast experimental techniques have recently proven their potential as new approaches to understand materials based on non-equilibrium dynamics in the time domain. The time domain approach is useful especially in disentangling complicated coupling among charge, spin and lattice degrees of freedom. Various ultrafast experiments on Fe-based superconductors have observed strong coherent oscillations of an $A_{1g}$ phonon mode of arsenic ions, which shows strong coupling to the electronic and magnetic states. This paper reviews the recent reports of ultrafast studies on Fe-based superconductor with a focus on the coherent oscillations. Experimental results with ultrashort light sources from the terahertz-infrared pulses to the hard X-rays from a free electron laser will be presented.

N-gram 기반의 유사도를 이용한 대화체 연속 음성 언어 모델링 (Spontaneous Speech Language Modeling using N-gram based Similarity)

  • This paper presents our language model adaptation for Korean spontaneous speech recognition. Korean spontaneous speech is observed various characteristics of content and style such as filled pauses, word omission, and contraction as compared with the written text corpus. Our approaches focus on improving the estimation of domain-dependent n-gram models by relevance weighting out-of-domain text data, where style is represented by n-gram based tf/sup */idf similarity. In addition to relevance weighting, we use disfluencies as Predictor to the neighboring words. The best result reduces 9.7% word error rate relatively and shows that n-gram based relevance weighting reflects style difference greatly and disfluencies are good predictor also.

Kodu를 이용한 프로그래밍 중심 STEAM 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Implementation of STEAM Program based on Programming using Kodu)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the STEAM educational program based on the computer programming. STEAM education has been recently attracted to a lot of people. We had a focus of computer science in STEM fields. We used the programming language f or learning KODU. We selected appropriate topics for STEAM education and learning programming. We developed the educational program of 30 hours about selected topics and had classes for 4th and 5th grade elementary students. In order to verify the effectiveness of the educational program, we analyzed the results of pre- and posttest about GALT(Group Assessment of Logical Thinking), TTCT(Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking), science-related affective domain, and mathematical interests and attitudes tests. In the analysis results, the education program we developed had positive impacts on creativity, logical thinking, and science-related affective domain of elementary school students.

  • A two-dimensional Navier-Stokes solver using hybrid meshes is parallelized with a domain decompostion method. The focus of this paper is placed on minimizing the amount of effort in parallelizing the serial version of the solver, and this is achieved by adding an additional layer of cells to each decomposed domain. Most subroutines of the serial solver are used without modification, and the information exchange between neighboring domains is achieved using MPI(Message Passing Interface) library. Load balancing among the processors and scheduling of the message passing are implemented to reduce the overhead of parallelization, and the speed-up achieved by parallelization is measured on the transonic invisicd and turbulent flow problems. The parallelization efficiencies of the explicit Runge-Kutta scheme and the implicit point-SGS scheme are compared and the effects of various factors on the results are also studied.

수학적 창의성에 대한 관점 연구 (On Perspectives in Mathematical Creativity)

  • In this paper, we review definition and concept of mathematical creativity. A couple of criteria have established for perspectives in mathematical creativity, The first is specific domain(mathematics) vs general domain(creativity) and the second is process(thinking process) vs outcome(divergent production). By these criteria, four perspectives have constructed : mathematics-thinking process approach(McTd), mathematics-divergent production approach(MctD), creativity-thinking process approach(mCTd), creativity-divergent production approach(mCtD). When mathematical creativity is researched by the specific reason and particular focus, an appropriate approach can be chosen in four perspectives.

Perspectives on THz Time Domain Spectroscopy

  • Over the past decade the experimental technique of THz time domain spectroscopy (㎔- TDS) has proved to be a versatile method for investigating a wide range of phenomena in the ㎔ or far infrared spectral region from 100 ㎓ to 5 ㎔. This paper reviews some recent results of the Ultrafast ㎔ Research Group at Oklahoma State University using ㎔-TDS as a characterization tool. The experimental technique is described along with recent results on ㎔ beam propagation and how ㎔ beam profiles arise from propagation of pulse fronts along caustics. To illustrate how spatio-temporal electric field measurements can determine material properties over a wide spectral range, propagation of ㎔ pulses through systems exhibiting frustrated total internal reflection (FTIR) are reviewed. Finally two potential metrology applications of ㎔-TDS are discussed, thin film characterization and non-destructive evaluation of ceramics. Although ㎔-TDS has been confined to the research laboratory, the focus on application may stimulate the adoption of ㎔- TDS for industrial or metrology applications.

대화체 연속음성 인식을 위한 언어모델 적응 (Language Model Adaptation for Conversational Speech Recognition)

  • This paper presents our style-based language model adaptation for Korean conversational speech recognition. Korean conversational speech is observed various characteristics of content and style such as filled pauses, word omission, and contraction as compared with the written text corpora. For style-based language model adaptation, we report two approaches. Tensile Properties Estimation Method Using Convolutional LSTM Model

  • In this paper, we propose a displacement measurement method based on deep learning using image data obtained from tensile tests of a material specimen. We focus on the fact that the sequential images during the tension are generated and the displacement of the specimen is represented in the image data. So, we designed sample generation model which makes sequential images of specimen. The behavior of generated images are similar to the real specimen images under tensile force. Using generated images, we trained and validated our model. In the deep neural network, sequential images are assigned to a multi-channel input to train the network. The multi-channel images are composed of sequential images obtained along the time domain. As a result, the neural network learns the temporal information as the images express the correlation with each other along the time domain. In order to verify the proposed method, we conducted experiments by comparing the deformation measuring performance of the neural network changing the displacement range of images.
