In the present work, high-speed video images of the ground take-off flight of a live butterfly were captured and their dynamic motions during the first full-stroke were analyzed. To capture the dynamic images of the take-off motion, the experimental setup consisted of a high-speed camera, a Xenon lamp as a light source and a transparent chamber of $15^W{\times}15^L{\times}17^H$$cm^3$ in physical size. The ambient temperature and supplementary lighting devices were precisely controlled. The weight and wing span of the butterfly tested in this study was 104 mg and 63.14 mm, respectively. The ground take-off images were captured with 4000 fps with a spatial resolution of (1024${\times}$512) pixels. The period of the first full-stroke was 80.5ms and the flapping speed of downstroke was 2 times faster than that of upstroke. As a result, butterflies used the fling and near-clap motion to generate lifting force and an interesting take-off behavior of early pronation and downstroke was observed.

A crush switch assembly(CSA) connected to an impact fuze provides electrical signal for detonation of the loaded main charge when an impact with the target is detected. Because the CSA experiences continuous changes in flight environment such as changes in velocity, vibration, and stresses, it is necessary to accurately predict the behavior of the fuze to maintain functionality during flight and to detonate when necessary. In this paper, random vibration analysis for flight environment and impact analysis on target hit are performed using FEA. Then, high speed impact tests are performed with the original and scaled down models to ensure operation validation of the manufactured products. The test results are then compared with M&S results to verify the capability of currently modeled CSA.

The traditional safety management method starts with the misconception that similar accidents will recur if the inappropriate behavior of the person who caused the accident is investigated and punishment is not judged. However, in modern safety management, incidents or situations occur when negative conditions latent in the system are mutually influenced and triggered. The precedent for revoking the disposition of suspension of first officer A of Eastar Jet, which won a legal lawsuit against the administrative regulatory authority, is a representative example that will serve as an opportunity for the administrative regulatory authority to break away from the punishment-oriented safety management method of the past. On the other hand, airmans and air carriers also need to have a clear understanding of flight regulations, and when judicial judgment is required, predictable and effective legal effects can be obtained by preparing clear standards for flight regulations. In addition, administrative regulatory authorities expect a change from the punishment-oriented safety management policy of the past to a systematic safety management policy.

Insects have many excellent features and functions in their small bodies, such as hexapod walking, flapping flight, vision systems, sensory hairs, etc, and those characteristics can be thought as good models for many types of robots. Insects also will be good models far micro-machines because of its size. Insect behavior consists of simple reflex acts and programmed behavior, Some robots were made in order to clarify the emergent mechanism of insect behavior, Through some experiments it would be found that even if insect behavior consists of some simple action patterns, it looks intelligent through interactions its sensors and actuators with its complex environment. In the near futures small robots inspired by insects will be used in many fields of our life. I hope that insect-model based robots will play an active part in many fields and that they will make us happy.

This study examines how the cognitive-behavioral group counseling influence on the career stress, the self-efficacy and the optimism for the coping of the career stress of students in department of aeronautical science and flight operation of H Aerospace University. The subjects of this research were 27 freshmen in the department of aeronautical science and flight operations of H Aerospace University. They were divided into 2 groups: experimental group and control group. The experimental group got the group counseling program 7 times for 3 weeks. The results show that the cognitive-behavioral group counseling program can be a very useful tool to reduce career stress and to enhance self-efficacy and optimism of students.
The behavior of a hemisphere-cylinder flight vehicle at high angles of attack and side slip angles have been studied. $0^{\circ}{\sim}35^{\circ}$ angles of attack and $0^{\circ}{\sim}5^{\circ}$ side slip angles were selected as fright conditions at Mach No. 0.3. Flow changes from low angles of attack to high angles of attack were compared and analyzed. We changed from low to high angles of attack with small side slip angles. We compared normal, side and axial force coefficients among various test cases.

In recent years, scientific community has found renewed interest in hypersonic flight research. These hypersonic vehicles undergo severe aero-thermal environments during their flight regimes. One of the most important topics of research in hypersonic aerodynamics is to find a reasonable way of calculating either the surface temperature or the heat flux to surface when its temperature is held fixed. This requires modeling of physical and chemical processes. Hyperbolic system of equations with stiff relaxation method are being identified in recent literature as a novel method of predicting long time behavior of systems such as gas at high temperatures. In present work, Energy Relaxation Method (ERM) has been considered to simulate the real gas flow over a 2-D cylinder. Present heat flux results over the cylinder compared well with the experiment. Thus, real gas effects in hypersonic flows can be modeled through energy relaxation method.

Quasi steady stall is a phenomenon to characterize the aerodynamic behavior of aircraft at high angle of attack region. Generally, it is exercised from a steady state level flight to stall and its recovery to the initial flight in a calm weather. For a theoretical study, such maneuver is demonstrated in the form of aerodynamic model which consists of aircraft's stability and control derivatives. The current research paper is focused on the appropriate selection of aerodynamic model for the maneuver and estimation of the unknown model coefficients using least-square method. The statistical accuracy of the estimated parameters is presented in terms of standard deviations. Finally, the validation has been presented by comparing the measured data to the simulated data from different models.

The Helicopter has a lot of flight modes. The most characteristic flight mode is Hovering. It enables the helicopter to be used in many situations. However, a helicopter has nonlinear dynamics so its mathematical modeling is very difficult. Hence it is not easy to control helicopter in hover. In this paper, RC model helicopter is selected as a plant. To stabilize the behavior of RC model helicopter, Fuzzy alogrithm is used as a controller and one camera is used as a sensor. To get proper Information from camera Image, three characteristic points are attatched to the helicopter and a position recognition algorithm is developed. Experiments are performed to stabilize 3 rotational motions synchronousely with fuzzy control algorithm. As a result, Fuzzy control represents better performances than the conventional PID control.
Mechanical and thermomechanical properties of the bulk metallic glass (BMG) are so unique that the deformation behavior is largely dependent on the temperature and the strain rate. Impacting behavior of NiTiZrSiSn bulk metallic glass powder during kinetic spraying was investigated in this study. Considering the impact behavior of the BMG, the kinetic spraying system was modified and attached the powder preheating system to make the transition from the inhomogeneous deformation to the homogeneous deformation of impacting BMG particle easy BMG splat formation is considered from the viewpoint of the adiabatic shear instability. It is suggested that the impact behavior of bulk metallic glass particle is determined by the competition between fracture and deformation. The bonding of the impacting NiTiZrSiSn bulk amorphous particle was primarily caused by the temperature-dependent deformation and fracture (local liquid formation) behavior.
