Realistic Skin Rendering for 3D Facial Makeup (3차원 얼굴 메이크업을 위한 사실적인 피부 렌더링)

  • Makeup simulation is a tool that tests various makeup methods on a virtual digital face using input and display devices. Although several simulation systems supporting various makeup styles have been recently developed, most systems have many limitations on realistic skin representations because they use 2D facial images. We develope a realistic makeup simulation method which can control skin reflectance and roughness parameters. The method allows a user to simulate makeup applications while changing skin parameters using high-resolution facial data acquired by 3D scanners. Besides we use a point-based shape representation which enables simple and flexible 3D rendering, and provide a more realistic makeup simulation by applying different skin parameters on each part of the face.

  • A typical honeycomb sandwich panel consists of two thin, high-strength facings bonded to a thick, light-weight core. Each component by itself is relatively weak and flexible, but when it combind in a sandwich panel they produce a structure that is stiff, strong, and lightweight. In addition to use in honeycomb sandwich panels, honeycomb is used for energy absorption, radio frequency shielding, light diffusion, and to direct air flow.Accordingly, the usage of honeycomb sandwich structure is very widely applied to the aircraft, the automobile, and marine industry, etc., because of these advantages. Generally, this honeycomb sandwich structure is manufactured by autoclave process.In this study, the honeycomb sandwich structure was produced by prepreg. To prove the suitability the honeycomb sandwich structure with prepreg, The optimum design of the skin materials and honeycomb sandwich structure were evaluated with the theory of stress analysis.

  • 최근 들어 유연한 폴리머 기판을 이용한 차세대 Flexible display는 다양한 장점으로 인해 많은 연구가들에 의해 유망한 차세대 디스플레이로 주목받고 있다. 일반적 폴리머 기판은 산소, 수분 등에 취약하기 때문에 무기막 또는 멀티레이어를 증착한다. 본 연구는 remote-type과 direct-type DBD로 구성되어 있는 double discharge system을 이용한 SiOx 무기막 증착 실험에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 HMDS/$O_2$/He/Ar gas mixture를 통해 발생된 대기압 플라즈마를 이용하여 공정을 진행하였다. SiOx를 증착할 때 SiOx 무기막 증착 실험은 $O_2$의 유량이 감소할수록 그리고 HMDS의 유량이 증가함에 따라 deposition rate, 즉 공정효율이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 HMDS의 유량이 증가하고 $O_2$ gas 유량이 감소함에 따라 carbon과 hydrogen 등의 불순물의 함유도 함께 증가하게 되고 이로 인해 무기막의 특성이 약해지고, 유기적인 막 특성이 강해지게 된다. Double discharge system을 사용하였을 경우에는 remote-type DBD system을 사용하였을 때 보다 더 높은 공정 효율을 관찰할 수 있었고 동시에 더 낮은 불순물 함량을 가지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 기판에 추가적으로 인가되는 power에 따라 discharge efficiency가 향상되어 Si-O bond 결합을 유도, 무기막적 특성이 강해지고, 또한 기판 바이어스 효과에 따라 증착무기막의 기계적인 강도 역시 향상됨을 관찰할 수 있었다.

Roles of Authentic Leadership, Psychological Empowerment and Intrinsic Motivation on Workers' Creativity in e-business

  • In today's rapidly changing environment, companies need to have proper strategies in place to meet the challenges that constant change presents. Being flexible, responding and adapting to changes can be valuable. However, they are essentially passive ways of dealing with situations. Creating new values and innovation are more active and effective strategies fora constantly changing environment. As such, most companies in e-business should focus on developing creativity across the board. Employees' creativity has become a critical factor in e-business. This paper explains how to increase workers' creativity through authentic leadership and psychological empowerment. As it is not machines or computers, but people, that are ultimately still responsible for creating novel outcomes, this study emphasizes the overriding importance of members' ability and leader's roles, which greatly influence followers' levels of motivation. Authentic leadership encourages members to reach and display their potential, and enhances their intrinsic motivation. Moreover, members' psychological empowerment is directly associated with both intrinsic motivation and autonomy, preconditions for creativity. Hence, these two dimensions- leadership and an individual's psychological state- will increase workers' creativity, which works to increase performance and create more opportunities not only at the individual level, but also at the team or organization level. The purpose of this paper is to explain the effects of authentic leadership on creativity and the moderating effects of psychological empowerment between authentic leadership and creativity in the e-business environment.

Block-Based Low-Power CMOS Image Sensor with a Simple Pixel Structure

  • In this paper, we propose a block-based low-power complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor (CIS) with a simple pixel structure for power efficiency. This method, which uses an additional computation circuit, makes it possible to reduce the power consumption of the pixel array. In addition, the computation circuit for a block-based CIS is very flexible for various types of pixel structures. The proposed CIS was designed and fabricated using a standard CMOS 0.18 ${\mu}m$ process, and the performance of the fabricated chip was evaluated. From a resultant image, the proposed block-based CIS can calculate a differing contrast in the block and control the operating voltage of the unit blocks. Finally, we confirmed that the power consumption in the proposed CIS with a simple pixel structure can be reduced.

  • Flexible Display를 제작하기 위해서는 유기소자를 보호하는 보호막이 필요하다. 유기소자는 산소 및 수분에 매우 취약하기 때문에 장수명을 확보하기 위해서는 추가적인 보호층이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해 Encapsulation 중 한 방법인 Barrier Film을 제작하고 그에 따른 광학적인 특성 및 수분 투습율을 조사하였다. Barrier film의 광학적 분석 방법으로는 XPS, SEM, AFM, Transmittance를 측정하였으며, XPS는 박막내의 화학적인 결합을 알기 위해서 사용되었고, SEM은 박막의 두께 및 박막내의 결함을 파악하고자 하였다. SEM을 통해 증착속도가 32.6 nm/m이라는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. AFM을 통해 증착된 박막의 표면 거칠기를 파악하였다. Transmittance는 PET 기판을 사용하여 가시광 영역에서 80%이상의 투과도를 나타내었다. PECVD 장비를 사용하여 SiH4, NH3, N2가스를 사용하여 PET 필름 위에 박막을 증착하였으며, 유량을 10~400 sccm 내에서 변화시키고, RF Power는 각각 30~300 W 15분간 증착하였다. 제작된 보호막의 수분투습율은 $2{\times}10{_2}^{-2}g/m^2/day$ 이하의 값을 나타내었다.

대기압 플라즈마를 이용한 a-Si 식각 기술

  • DBD (Dielectric Barrier Discharge) 대기압 플라즈마를 이용한 a-Si 식각기술에 대한 연구결과를 논하고자 한다. 기술개발의 목적은 대면적 TFT-LCD 혹은 Flexible Display 공정에 적용가능한 대기압 플라즈마 식각장치의 개발 및 검증이다. 실험에서 식각 가스로는 SF6, NF3 등을 사용하였으며, 질소를 기본 가스로 사용하였다. 검증용으로 개발된 대기압 플라즈마 식각 장치는 대기압 플라즈마 장치를 연속적으로 통과하는 in-line system 형식으로 개발되었다. 검증에 사용된 대기압 플라즈마 장치는 300 mm의 방전 폭으로 1세대 LCD기판의 처리가 가능하다. 대기압 플라즈마 식각 기술 개발에서 식각율에 영향을 미치는 변수들은 기판의 온도, 식각가스의 농도, 기판의 이송속도, 기판과 플라즈마 발생장치 사이의 간격 그리고 플라즈마의 인가 전력 등으로 크게 구분지어 생각할 수 있다. 개발된 식각 장치는 SF6를 사용하는 경우 최대 환산 식각율은 500 nm/min 정도이다. 식각 기술에서 중요한 식각 Uniformity와 그와 연관된 a-Si/SiNx 식각 선택비는 사용하는 가스의 Recipe 개발에 중점을 두고 연구를 진행하였다. 식각 Uniformity는 약 7% 이내의 균일도를 갖고 a-Si/ SiNx의 선택비는 10이상의 결과를 얻었다. 또한 식각 가스는 식각 profile에 영향을 줄 수 있는데 대기압 환경에서 형성되는 collisional sheath에도 불구하고 비 등방성 식각이 가능하였다.

Theoretical Studies on Dicyanoanthracenes as Organic Semiconductor Materials: Reorganization Energy

  • Internal reorganization energy due to the structural relaxation in hole or electron hopping mechanism is one of the measurements of key indices in designing an organic thin film transistor (OTFT) for flexible display devices. In this study, the reorganization energies of dicyanoanthracenes for the hole and electron transfer were estimated by adiabatic potential energy surface and normal mode analysis method in order to examine the effect on the energies for the positional variation of the cyano substituents in the anthracene as a protocol of acenes to design an organic field effect transistor. The reorganization energy for the hole transfer was reduced considerably upon cyanation of anthracene, especially at the 9,10-positions of anthracene, and the origin of the reduction was interpreted in terms of understanding the coupling of vibrational modes to the hole transfer.

Fabrication of Flexible OTFT Array with Printed Electrodes by using Microcontact and Direct Printing Processes

  • Printed organic thin-film transistor(OTFT) to use as a switching device for an organic light emitting diode(OLED) were fabricated in the microcontact printing and direct printing processes at room temperature. The gate electrodes($5{\mu}m$, $10{\mu}m$, and $20{\mu}m$) of OTFT was fabricated using microcontact printing process, and source/drain electrodes ($W/L=500{\mu}m/5{\mu}m$, $500{\mu}m/10{\mu}m$, and $500{\mu}m/20{\mu}m$) was fabricated using direct printing process with hard poly(dimethylsiloxane)(h-PDMS) stamp. Printed OTFT with dielectric layer was formed using special coating system and organic semiconductor layer was ink-jet printing process. Microcontact printing and direct printing processes using h-PDMS stamp made it possible to fabricate printed OTFT with channel lengths down to $5{\mu}m$, and reduced the process by 20 steps compared with photolithography. As results of measuring he transfer characteristics and output characteristics of OTFT fabricated with the printing process, the field effect characteristic was verified.

Synthesis and Mesomorphic Properties of Banana-Shaped Mesogens with All-Ester Linking Group

  • Four banana-shaped compounds have beene synthesized introducing ester linking group into mesogenic unit, varying the central core with 1,6-, 1,7-, 2,3-, and 2,7-naphthylene units, and introducing the dodecyloxy group as the terminal flexible unit. All obtained compounds except one with 1,7-naphthylene unit were reversibly thermotropically liquid crystalline. The compound with 1,7-naphthylene unit could not form the mesophase due to its asymmetrical and sharp substitution angle. The compounds with 1,6- and 2,3-naphthylene units showed an antiferroelectric switchable smectic phase, which has been designated B2 phase. Interestingly, the compound with the 2,3-naphthylene unit showed the two mesophases of B2 and nematic phase.
