Systematic Topology Selection Method for Multiple-Input DC-DC Converters

  • A power system designer may have difficulties in choosing a suitable multiple-input converter topology for a specific target application because each multiple-input converter topology presented in the literature has its own advantages and disadvantages. In this perspective, this paper presents a systematic topology selection method for multiple-input converters with three comparison criteria including cost-saving effect, modularity potential and flexibility. Based on these criteria, this paper proposes a strategic flow chart example for choosing a proper multiple-input converter topology. This flow chart will provide a powerful selection tool to a power system designer when he or she chooses a specific multiple-input converter for a given application.

Identification of flexible vehicle parameters on bridge using particle filter method

  • A conditional probability based approach known as Particle Filter Method (PFM) is a powerful tool for system parameter identification. In this paper, PFM has been applied to identify the vehicle parameters based on response statistics of the bridge. The flexibility of vehicle model has been considered in the formulation of bridge-vehicle interaction dynamics. The random unevenness of bridge has been idealized as non homogeneous random process in space. The simulated response has been contaminated with artificial noise to reflect the field condition. The performance of the identification system has been examined for various measurement location, vehicle velocity, bridge surface roughness factor, noise level and assumption of prior probability density. Identified vehicle parameters are found reasonably accurate and reconstructed interactive force time history with identified parameters closely matches with the simulated results. The study also reveals that crude assumption of prior probability density function does not end up with an incorrect estimate of parameters except requiring longer time for the iterative process to converge.

A direct damage detection method using Multiple Damage Localization Index Based on Mode Shapes criterion

  • A new method of multiple damage detection in beam like structures is introduced. The mode shapes of both healthy and damaged structures are used in damage detection process (DDP). Multiple Damage Localization Index Based on Mode Shapes (MDLIBMS) is presented as a criterion in detecting damaged elements. A finite element modeling of structures is used to calculate the mode shapes parameters. The main advantages of the proposed method are its simplicity, flexibility on the number of elements and so the accuracy of the damage(s) position(s), sensitivity to small damage extend, capability in prediction of required number of mode shapes and low sensitivity to noisy data. In fact, because of differential and comparative form of MDLIBMS, using noise polluted data doesn't have major effect on the results. This makes the proposed method a powerful one in damage detection according to measured mode shape data. Because of its flexibility, damage detection process in multi span bridge girders with non-prismatic sections can be done by this method. Numerical simulations used to demonstrate these advantages.

  • An iterative learning control scheme is incorporated to the computed torque method as a means to enhance the accuracy and the flexibility. A learning rule is constructed by utilizing a gradient descent algorithm and data compressing techniques are illustrated. Computer simulation results show a good performance of the scheme under a relatively high speed and a heavy payload condition.

새로운 체전굴 측정 방법의 개발 (Development of The New Instrument for Measuring of Trunk-Hip Forward Flexion)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 간단하고 실용적이며, 타당성, 신뢰성, 객관성이 높은 체전굴 유연성 측정 도구를 개발하는데 있으며, D여자 대학교의 스포츠학 전공 여대생 44명이 자발적으로 연구의 피검자로 참여하였다. 새 측정 도구의 신뢰도와 객관도 검사는 재검법의 평균 측정값을 사용하여 이원 혼합효과 모델에 의한 급내 상관 계수를 산출하였다. 검사자별 1차와 2차의 급내 상관 계수는 L은 R = .994, Y는 R=.993, 1차와 2차 검사의 L과 Y검사자간 급내 상관 계수는 R = .985, R=.986으로 모두 상관도가 아주 높은 것으로 나타났다. 새로 개발한 체전굴 측정 도구의 타당도 검증을 위하여 Leighton-flexometer-tests의 원리를 이용한 Takei 의 flexometer를 준거 검사 도구로 사용하였으며, 1차 검사와 2차 검사에서의 새로운 체전굴 유연성 측정 도구와 준거 검사 도구 측정값의 Pearson 적률 상관계수는 각각 r = .962와 r = .960로 1, 2차 검사 모두 아주 높은 상관도를 나타냈다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 새로 개발한 체전굴 검사는 타당도, 신뢰도, 객관도가 매우 높고 실용적인 것으로 평가될 수 있음이 밝혀졌다.

뇌졸중으로 인한 편마비 환자의 슬괵근 유연성과 보행능력에 대한 신경가동기법, 정적 신장기법 및 수축-이완기법의 즉각적 효과 비교 (Comparison the Initial Effects of Nerve Mobilization Techniques, Static Stretching and Contract-Relax on Hamstring Flexibility and Walking Ability in Post-Stroke Hemiplegia Patients)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to compare the initial effect of nerve mobilization (NM), static stretching (SS), and contract-relax (CR) techniques to find the best method in improving hamstring flexibility and gait function in patients with hemiplegia. Methods : Eleven patients with hemiplegia were included in this study. Passive knee extension (PKE) range of motion and the sit and reach (SR) test were used to measure hamstring flexibility, while timed up and go (TUG) and the 10m walking (10MW) test were used to measure the subject's gait. Measurements on each test were assessed prior to the experiment, immediately following the experiment, and 30 minutes after the experiment. Analysis of the results utilized a repeated measures analysis of variance to examine hamstring flexibility and the difference in walking ability. Results : The results suggest significant increases in NM, SS, and CR techniques as they relate to hamstring flexibility (p<.05) following (both immediate and 30 minutes post experiment) PKE range of motion and the SR test, but post-hoc showed no significant difference between the three techniques (p>.05). Additionally, the results suggest significant increases in NM, SS, and CR techniques as they relate to gait function (p<.05) following the TUG test, but found no significant difference in the 10MW test (p>.05). Post-hoc analysis between the three techniques suggests that only the NM technique significantly changed gait function. The time of TUG and 10MW test showed no significant difference between the three techniques before an experiment, just after an experiment, and 30 minutes following the experiment according to the measurement points in time (p>.05). Conclusion : This study suggests NM, SS, and CR techniques immediately improve hamstring length and flexibility while improving gait function in patients with hemiplegia.

심볼로지 패턴의 특징 정보를 이용한 자동 시각 검사시스템 개발 (Development of an Automatic Visual Inspection System Using Simbology Patterns)

  • In this paper, an improved method is developed for automatic inspection system using simbology patterns. The developed method uses the two previously developed matching methods the template maching method and the feature matching method. The template matching method is very sensitive to variations of target images such as translation and rotation of objects. On the other hand, the feature matching method doesn't extract proper features in some types of symbology patterns. The proposed method shows the improvement of precision in recognition of defects and flexibility of different types of symbology patterns.

현행 건설공사 물가변동 제도의 문제점 분석을 통한 계약금액조정 개선방안 (An Improvement Plan of Contract Price Adjustment through the Problem Analysis of the Current Price Escalation Regulation in Construction Projects)

  • 본 연구는 건설공사 불가변동으로 인한 계약금액조정을 함에 있어 산출과정에 있어서의 문제점과 물가변동 조정 후 설계변경이 수반될 때 물가상승액이 변경되면서 일어나는 비합리적인 정산방식과 법적인 문제점에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 계약관리자를 대상으로 한 설문조사와 건설공사사례를 분석하였고 그 결과로 물가변동제도의 대한 문제점을 분석하였다. 위와 같은 과정을 통해 계약금액조정에 판한 개선방안 및 산식을 제안하였다. 상기와 같은 목적과 방법에 따라 수행된 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 계약금액조정에 대한 개선방안으로는 합계단가로 비목군편성, 물가변동 조정 후 설계변경 수반시 증가된 물량 또는 신규품목에 대하여 설계변경당시 시점으로 물가변동 산출 등을 제시하였다. 2) 물가변동으로 인한 계약금액조정 후 설계변경이 수반될 경우 발생하는 기존물량 삭제 또는 물가변동제외금액 이하로 수량이 변경되는 경우와 수량 변경이 없는 경우에 대한 물가상승액 정산산식을 제안하였다.
