Development of an e-Learning Program about Medication for New Nurses (신입간호사를 위한 투약 간호 e-Learning 프로그램 개발)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an e-Learning program about medication for nurses to enhance nurses' medication performance ability and to analyze learners' responses after studying with this program. Method: For the development of the e-Learning program, the NBISD(Network Based Instructional Systems Design) model, suggested by Jung(I999) was applied as a basic model and the instruction design theory of Gagne & Briggs(1979) and ARCS theory of Keller(I983) were applied. After the operation of this program for one month to 34 new nurses, learners' responses were analyzed. Result: Learners' knowledge of medication was greatly improved after this program. In addition learners' satisfaction with the overall education program, help in field applicability, ease of screen shift and exploration, and tutor activities were high and the contents were regarded suitable for e-Learning. Many things were advantageous such as easy accessibility, easy understandability with pictures and flash animation, practical cases and feedback from a tutor. Provision of a supplementary handout and improvement of a tight time schedule were pointed out as things to be improved. Conclusion: This e-Learning program can be used effectively for medication education for registered nurses, student nurses, and new nurses.

Development of Web-based Multimedia Content for a Physical Examination and Health Assessment Course (웹기반의 건강사정 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 개발)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop Web-based multimedia content for Physical Examination and Health Assesment. Method: The multimedia content was developed based on Jung's teaching and learning structure plan model, using the following 5 processes: 1) Analysis Stage, 2) Planning Stage, 3) Storyboard Framing and Production Stage, 4) Program Operation Stage, and 5) Final Evaluation Stage. Results: The web based multimedia content consisted of an intro movie, main page and sub pages. On the main page, there were 6 menu bars that consisted of Announcement center, Information of professors, Lecture guide, Cyber lecture, Q&A, and Data centers, and a site map which introduced 15 week lectures. In the operation of web based multimedia content, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and multimedia technology(Audio and Video) were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and audio & video. Consultation with the experts in context, computer engineering, and educational technology was utilized in the development of these processes. Conclusions: Web-based multimedia content is expected to offer individualized and tailored learning opportunities to maximize and facilitate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, multimedia content should be utilized concurrently with the lecture in the Physical Examination and Health Assesment classes as a vital teaching aid to make up for the weakness of the face-to- face teaching-learning method.

  • Recently, with various smart devices being used, more attention is paid to digital content development for kids. Many parents and teachers are using digital contents both at home and the classroom. However, there are many concerns on the delayed language ability development and lack of social skills due to children's overuse of digital technology. This study reviewed related literature on digital content for kids including storytelling videos, flash, animation, multimedia fairy tales, and app-books. Based on that, digital contents design guidelines were proposed. It was expected that by appropriate digital content design, children would like reading books just as they like watching digital contents.

  • The purpose of this paper is to plan and implement e-storytelling for improving children's creativity, which consists of e-storytelling, thinking questions, and character sticker canvas. Especially It makes children draw paintings feel easier by character sticker. This webapp shows the flash animation e-storytelling and gives the question to answer by painting with a fertile imagination on the canvas as transforming the character sticker. A user can input the title of painting and store it when finish the drawing. This is an educational tool which makes educatees think more and express their ideas through questions. Therefore, we can check how much children's imagination is changed and diversed by the stored paintings.

SNS-based Site connected with shopping Using Avatar (아바타를 활용한 SNS 기반 쇼핑 연계 사이트)

  • This paper is implemented new styled site to combine community of blog style for SNS and shopping mall. Especially, this site is included simulation of coordination in fashion with avatar model. It makes indirect experience of clothing and user-friendly user interface that is different to other Web sites or shopping malls. So this avatar is designed and implemented by using flash animation technique that makes confirm possible coordination styles with eyes of client instantly and review goods very easily. Additionally, it makes pay attention to connect shopping malls and service convenience by SNS.

Development and Evaluation of e-EBPP(Evidence-Based Practice Protocol) System for Evidence-Based Dementia Nursing Practice (근거중심 치매 간호실무를 위한 e-EBPP 시스템 개발 및 평가)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate e-EBPP(Evidence-based Practice Protocol) system for nursing care for patients with dementia to facilitate the best evidence-based decision in their dementia care settings. Method: The system was developed based on system development life cycle and software prototyping using the following 5 processes: Analysis, Planning, Developing, Program Operation, and Final Evaluation. Result: The system consisted of modules for evidence-based nursing and protocol, guide for developing protocol, tool for saving, revising, and deleting the protocol, interface tool among users, and tool for evaluating users' satisfaction of the system. On the main page, there were 7 menu bars that consisted of Introduction of site, EBN info, Dementia info, Evidence Based Practice Protocol, Protocol Bank, Community, and Site Link. In the operation of the system, HTML, JavaScript, and Flash were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and quiz. Conclusion: This system can support nurses' best and cost-effective clinical decision using sharable standardized protocols consisting of the best evidence in dementia care. In addition, it can be utilized as an e-learning program for nurses and nursing students to learn use of evidence based information.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper was to develop a CD program of applied logotherapy to improve the quality of life of adolescents with terminal cancer. Method: Keller's ARCS theory and a model for developing internet learning materials(Kang) was applied to develop this program comprised four distinct phases: planning, designing, development, and execution stages. Results: This program was entitled 'Finding treasures in my life' and consisted of 5 sessions and its educational contents were made up as follows: "Treasure One" is 'learning three natures of the human mind', "Treasure Two" is 'learning creative value as first method to find meaning of life', "Treasure Three" is 'learning experiential value as second method to find meaning of life', "Treasure Four" is 'learning attitudinal value as third method to find meaning of life', and "Treasure Five" is 'Becoming the master of my life'. The sub-menu was made up of 'Beginning', 'What is it?', 'Travelling'. 'Laughing Song', 'End'. Conclusions: This CD program applied logotherapy with flash animation technique as an emotional and spiritual nursing intervention program for easier and more scientific application in pediatric oncology and hospice area.

  • 기술의 발달로 더 많은 것을 손쉽게 처리할 수 있는 능력이 향상되고 있지만, 또한 그에 따른 수많은 기능으로 무장한 수많은 정보기기들이 등장하고 있고 있다. 그 중에는 가격도 초고가의 제품들이 많아서 그 기기들을 손쉽게 배우기는 매우 어려운 일이다. 이러한 상황 속에서 웹을 기반으로 한 각 장비에 대한 매뉴얼이 제공된다면, 그 장비를 배우고 익히기가 훨씬 수월해 질 것이며, 적은 비용으로 많은 효과를 거둘 수가 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 애널라이저 중 하나인 HP8510에 대한 매뉴얼을 플래시로 제공함으로써 값비싸고 작동시키기 부담스러운 이 장비의 기능을 장소와 시간에 구애받지 않고 손쉽게 익히고, 배울 수 있도록 하였다.

  • In this paper, we presents virtual lecture contents to study educational robots assembling focused on the beginners with little or no background about electronics. Considering the target students, we developed 'virtual laboratory' using flash animation and the students can assemble the robots virtually with mouse and keyboard. Also, the contents includes lectures about some basic electronics theories. electronic devices, and the electronics tools for the beginners. With the features described above, this contents would be useful for the beginners and elementary school students who want to assembling their own robots.

  • This thesis is designed to investigate the relationship of Web Multimedia design. Web sites are needed to approach the lot of ways that increase the user intuitive lay over communicating information nowadays. In the digital era of today, multimedia is composed of such various elements as text, image, sound, animation, video. The method of the thesis is a research questions as this follow. First, the structuring element of the web site type was classified by a form and the contents in the web site. These types in this classified web site are HTML, flash and mixed type. Second, to study this thesis, we made up pose a questionnaire to students in the university as th method of random sampling. The goal of this survey is that user is how to understand about the web multimedia design. Results of analysis may be summarized as follows: 1) It was the image design in the NIKE web site that there would be evaluated the best design effected by flash, and it is finding that the NIDE web site will need more supporting Information, Interactive design through this studies. 2) It was information that there would be evaluated good design effect by text and image in SAMSUNG web site. Based on HTML, SAMSUNG need supporting motion image design by this studies. In conclusion, this thesis suggests that the each web medias should be constructed by the different web design component, according to information, Interactive, image design of web site.
