회전 소나빔을 갖는 초소형 수상로봇의 메커니즘 개발 (Development of Mechanism for Micro Surface Robot with Rotating Sonar-Beam)

  • 최근에는 크기 및 비용의 관점에서 많은 장점을 갖는 초소형 해양로봇(Micro Marine Robot : MMR)의 개발 및 적용에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 국내에서는 그 기반이 매우 부족한 상황이다. 다행히도 초소형 수상로봇(Micro Surface Robot : MSR)의 장애물회피와 관련해서는 크기와 성능의 관점에서 최적화되어 4방향 탐지가 가능한 장애물회피소나(Obstacle Avoidance Sonar : OAS)가 개발되었으나, 제한된 빔폭(beam width) 및 탐지거리를 갖는 고정 소나빔의 사용으로 인하여 장애물의 형상에 따라 탐지성능이 저하되는 문제점이 존재했다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 평기어(spur gear) 및 서보모터를 활용하여 회전 소나빔을 구현한 MSR의 메커니즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 메커니즘의 검증을 위해 다각 평면 장애물에 대한 MSR의 벽면 추적(wall-tracking) 문제를 고려하였고, 탐지성능 및 구동명령 측면에서 기존의 고정 소나빔 적용 시와 비교 및 분석을 수행하였다. 실험결과는 제안된 메커니즘의 타당성을 보여준다.

컴퓨터 생성 홀로그램의 하드웨어 구현을 위한 버스 구조 분석 (Bus Architecture Analysis for Hardware Implementation of Computer Generated Hologram)

  • 최근 차세대 영상 기술로 홀로그래피가 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 홀로그램은 광학적인 촬영을 통해서 획득할 수도 있지만 최근에는 컴퓨터를 이용한 홀로그램 생성 방법을 많이 사용하고 있다. 이를 컴퓨터 생성 홀로그램(computer generated hologram, CGH)이라 하는데 CGH는 많은 연산량이 요구되어 S/W를 이용하면 실시간으로 생성하는 것이 불가능하다. 따라서 실시간의 CGH를 위해서 FPGA나 GPU를 이용한 연산 방법이 주로 사용되고 있다. 하드웨어를 기반으로 하여 구현할 경우에 내부 시스템의 비트 제한으로 인하여 S/W와 같은 품질을 얻을 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 품질의 저하를 최소화하면서 하드웨어의 자원을 최대한 감소시킬 수 있는 하드웨어 비트 너비를 분석하여 가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 1비트 단위의 고정소수점 시뮬레이션을 모든 내부 변수 및 연산과정에 대해 수행하고, 수치적인 결과와 시각적인 결과를 종합적으로 분석하여 최적의 비트 너비와 응용분야에 따른 비트 너비를 제시한다.

한복바지 원형설계의 표준화를 위한 연구 (A Study on Standardization of Pattern Design of Korean Men's Traditional Trousers)

  • It is thought that a composition of trousers is related to fabrics with single breadth. Therefore, trousers are designed with pattern using this fabrics with single breadth. However, in the old pattern of trousers, the breadth of 33cm-35cm was not considered in designing patterns. In this context, deciding which pattern design is better is not easy as there are a variety of estimation methods. So in this study, standardization of drafting is pursued by an objective pattern design. For this, a base angle of the trouser closely relating to a form and function was measured and using the height and the base angle, a trouser pattern design was tried. For a measurement of the base angle, 5 subject were selected. They are 25-29 year-old male graduates with fine physical standard. The base angle was measured with symphysis pubis point as a standard when subjects sat with their legs crossed, when they stood with their legs open (not forced artificially) and when they laid down with their legs open. The distance between a knee inside joint and knees was measured three times and the resultant value was used for the pattern design. For a design of trousers, the height was applied and the base angle was fixed. As a pattern drawing, using the height, a base angle and circumference of the hip, a trouser was designed. The production method for the pattern design is as follow: (1) The length formula, is height + $\frac{height}{2}$ (2) The hip girth formula is $\frac{hipgirth}{2}$ - $\frac{hipgirth}{20}$(3) A crotch angle is fixed at $72^{\circ}$. (4) The ratio of outer leg length to leg width is 5 : 8. (5) The component ratio of the upper outer leg length to the pant length is 5 : 8. (6) The ratio of the division point of front right inner leg length and left inner width to upper outer leg length is 5 : 8.

The Study of Applicability to Fixed-field Sensor for Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) Monitoring in Cultivation Area

  • The NDVI (Normalized difference vegetation index) is used as indicators of crop growth situation in remote sensing. To measure or validate the NDVI, reliable NDVI sensors have been needed. We tested new fixed-field NDVI sensor, "SRS (Spectral Reflectance Sensor)" developed by Decagon Devices, during Kimchi cabbage growing season at the cultivation area located in Gochang, Gangneung and Taebaek in Korea from 2014 to 2015. The diurnal variation of NDVI measured by SRS (SRS NDVI) showed a slight ${\cap}$-profile shape and was affected by water on the sensor surface. This means that SRS NDVI around noontime is resonable, except rainy day. Comparisons were made between the SRS NDVI and NDVI of used widely mobile sensor (Cropcircle NDVI). The comparisons indicate that SRS NDVI are close to Cropcircle NDVI (R=0.99). SRS NDVI time series displayed change of the plant height and leaf width of Kimchi cabbage. An obvious exponential relationship is found between SRS NDVI and the plant height ($R^2{\geq}0.92$) and leaf width ($R^2{\geq}0.92$) of Kimchi cabbage. Thus, SRS NDVI will be used as indicator of crop growth situation and a very powerful tool for evaluation of remote sensing NDVI estimates and associated corrections.

Morphometric Study of the Lumbar Posterior Longitudinal Ligament

  • Objective : Morphometric data for the lumbar posterior longitudinal ligament (PLL) was investigated to identify whether there is a difference in the morphometry of the PLL of the lumbar spine at each level with respect to the pattern of intervertebral disc displacement. Methods : In 14 formalin-fixed adult cadavers (12 males and 2 females), from L1 to L5, the authors measured the width and height of the PLL and compared them with other landmarks such as the disc and the pedicle. Results : Horizontally, at the upper margin of the disc, the central portion of the superficial PLL covered 17.8-36.9% of the disc width and the fan-like portion of the PLL covered 63.9-76.7% of the disc width. At the level of the median portion of the disc, the PLL covered 69.1-74.5% of the disc width. Vertically, at the level of the medial margin of the pedicle, the fan-like portion of the PLL covered 23.5-29.9% of the disc height. In general, a significant difference in length was not found in the right-left and male-female comparisons. Conclusion : This study presents the morphometric data on the pattern of intervertebral disc displacement and helps to improve the knowledge of the surgical anatomy of the lumbar PLL.

수치해석 모델링을 이용한 교차 흐름 미세유체 액적 생성 디바이스 채널 교차각이 액적 직경에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Intersection Angle of the Flow-focusing Type Droplet Generation Device Channel on Droplet Diameter by using Numerical Simulation Modeling)

  • In this paper, we studied the effects of intersection angles of the flow-foucusing type droplet generation device inlet channel on droplet diameter using numerical simulation modeling. We modeled different intersection angles with a fixed continuous channel width, dispersed channels width, orifices width, and expansion channels width. Numerical simulations were performed using COMSOL Multiphysics$^{(R)}$ to solve the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for a two-phase flow in various flow-focusing geometries. Modeling results showed that an increase of the intersection angle causes an increase in the modification of the dispersed flow rate ($v^{\prime}{_d}$), and the increase of the modification of the continuous flow rate ($v^{\prime}{_c}$) obstructs the dispersed phase fluid flow, thereby reducing the droplet diameter. However, the droplet diameter did not decrease, even when the intersection angle increased. The droplet diameter decreased when the intersection angle was less than $90^{\circ}$, increased at an intersection angle of $90^{\circ}$, and decreased when the intersection angle was more than $90^{\circ}$. Furthermore, when the intermediate energy deceased, there was a decrease in the droplet diameter when the intersection angle increased. Therefore, variations in the droplet diameter can be used to change the intersection angle and fluid flow rate.

단채널 현상을 줄이기 위한 수직형 나노와이어 MOSFET 소자설계 (Device Design of Vertical Nanowire MOSFET to Reduce Short Channel Effect)

  • 본 연구에서는 시뮬레이션을 통해 채널 폭과 채널 도핑 형태에 따른 수직형 나노와이어 GAA MOSFET의 특성을 비교, 분석하였다. 첫 번째로, 드레인의 끝부분을 20nm로 고정시키고 소스의 끝부분이 30nm, 50nm, 80nm, 110nm로 식각된 모양으로 설계한 구조의 특성을 비교, 분석하였다. 두 번째로는 드레인, 채널, 소스의 폭이 50nm로 일정한 직사각형 모양의 구조를 설계하였다. 이 구조를 기준으로 삼아 드레인의 끝부분이 20nm가 되도록 식각된 사다리꼴 모양과 반대로 소스의 끝부분이 20nm가 되도록 식각된 역 사다리꼴 모양의 구조를 설계하여 위 세 구조의 특성을 비교, 분석하였다. 마지막으로는 폭 50nm의 직사각형 구조의 채널을 다섯 구간으로 나누어 도핑 형태를 다양하게 변화시킨 것의 특성을 비교, 분석하였다. 첫 번째 시뮬레이션에서는 채널 폭이 가장 작을 때, 두 번째 시뮬레이션에서는 사다리꼴 모양의 구조일 때, 세 번째 시뮬레이션에서는 채널의 중앙 부분이 높게 도핑 되었을 때 가장 좋은 특성을 보였다.

두 개의 셔터 구멍이 적용된 원심식 비료 살포기의 살포패턴 분석 (Spray Pattern Analysis for a Centrifugal Fertilizer Distributor with Two Shutter Holes)

  • In this study, the spray pattern of a centrifugal fertilizer distributor with two shutter holes was analyzed and an effective driving width that satisfies proper spray uniformity was derived. The centrifugal fertilizer distributor was mounted on a tractor with a rated power of 23.7 kW and static and dynamic spray pattern tests were performed according to the standard procedure proposed by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers Standard ASAE S341.5. The height of the fertilizer distributor was 80 cm from the ground and the PTO (power take-off) shaft speed of the tractor was fixed at 540 rpm. The fertilizer scattered in space was collected using 275 evenly spaced collectors at shutter opening ratios of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The spray pattern was analyzed via the amount of sprayed fertilizer at each collector location and the coefficient of variation was used as an indicator of spray uniformity. Using the analyzed spray pattern, the effective driving width that satisfied less than 15% of the coefficient of variation was derived for different tractor driving patterns (race track mode, back and forth mode). From the results, spray uniformity increased as the shutter opening ratio decreased. The largest effective driving width was 8 m at a shutter opening ratio of 25% for both driving patterns.

유동층 연소로 내에서 수평 휜 전열관의 열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental study on Heat Characteristics of Horizontal Tubes with Fin in Fluidized Bed Combustor)

  • This study is to investigate the characteristics of heat transfer of a horizontal tube, with radial fins of various configuration, immersed in a high temperature fluidized bed. The experimental heat transfer variation is compared with that of a smooth tube. The finned tubes and smooth tube, with outside and inside diameter of 48.6mm and 30.6mm, are made of steel tubes. The depth of the fin is 5mm, the rake angles of fin are $25^{\circ},\;35^{\circ},\;45^{\circ}$ and the widthes of fin for each rake angle are 0mm, 1mm, 2mm and 3mm. A bed temperature is fixed at $880\;{\pm}\;10^{\circ}C$. A granular refractory(silica sand) is used as a bed material with mean particle diameters of 1.22mm and 1.54mm. The maximum heat transfer coefficient is achieved with the rake angle of $25^{\circ}$ and the width of 0mm for the mean particle size 1.22mm. The coefficient is 2.14 times larger than that for a smooth tube. The rake angle for the maximum heat transfer coefficient depends on the particle size of bed material. Also the transfer coefficient decreases as the width of fin increases.

중국 휘주지역 전통주택의 공간구성 특성 (Characteristics of Interior Space in Huizhou Traditional Houses)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristic elements of interior space which effects the basic floor plan of traditional houses, in Huizhou, CHINA. The field study for the content analysis of a interior space of traditional houses were conducted from August 16 to 21, 2015, in Xidicun & Hongcun village. The major characteristics of 'tang' interior were as follows; Firstly, all of traditional houses in a skylight that front of 'tang'. Several types of floor plan were fixed by a combination of the space layout and numbers between 'tang' and skylights. Secondly, 'Tang' is from 3,250 to 6,000 mm in width, from 3,800 to 7,800 mm in depth. All skylights are more length than 'tang' in width. So all of spacious 'tang' were very bright without any lighting fixtutes. Thirdly, the patterns of woodcuts were the major settings of interior decorations. All of a window and door, capital has a detail woodcuts that are flowers, animals, plants, peoples, vases, and geometric patterns. In the last analysis, the traditional housing designs in Huizhoui old villages were planned for family that everlasting life, made a functional and rational decision.
