The purpose of this study was to investigate children's theory of mind in pretend play and story-making, from a qualitative perspective. Three-to-five year old children participated in group play and individual story-making activities. Children's narratives undertaken in two tasks were video-taped, transcribed, analyzed and reorganized into three key propositions, in consideration of the field notes that the researcher had taken. The children started their pretend play and story-making activities by 'forming connections among minds' of participants or story components. They continued to engage in pretend play and story making by 'dealing minds constructively and consistently' to keep their themes. Finally they resolved discordances in play and story-making by 'settings different mind windows and moving among them flexibly'.

In these notes we introduce a numerical function which allows us to describe explicitly (and nonrecursively) the Betti numbers, and hence, the Hilbert function of a set Z of three fat points whose support is an almost complete intersection (ACI) in ${\mathbb{P}}^1{\times}{\mathbb{P}}^1$. A nonrecursively formula for the Betti numbers and the Hilbert function of these configurations is hard to give even for the corresponding set of five points on a special support in ${\mathbb{P}}^2$ and we did not find any kind of this result in the literature. Moreover, we also give a criterion that allows us to characterize the Hilbert functions of these special set of fat points.

As technology advances, processor speeds are increasing at a rapid pace and digital systems require a significant amount of data bandwidth. As a result, careful consideration of signal integrity is required to ensure reliable and high-speed data processing. Crosstalk has become a vital area of research in signal integrity for electronic packages, mainly because of the high level of integration. Analytic formulas were analyzed in this study to identify the features that can predict crosstalk in multi-conductor transmission lines. Through the analysis, five variables were found and obtained a dataset consisting of 302,500, data points. The study evaluated the performance of various regression models for optimization via automatic machine learning by comparing the machine learning predictions with the analytic solution. Extra tree regression consistently outperformed other algorithms, with coefficients of determination exceeding 0.9 and root mean square logarithmic errors below 0.35. The study also notes that different algorithms produced varied predictions for the two metrics.

이 연구는 1989년 이후 30년간 국내 학술지에 발표된 과학 관련 정의적 영역 검사 도구 활용 현황과 이와 관련한 검사 도구의 수정 사례와 내용을 분석했다. 이로써 향후 검사 도구 개발과 개선 과정에 대한 실질적 정보를 제공하고, 타당한 검사 도구 개발을 위한 근거를 마련했다. 연구는 두 단계로 진행되었다. 정의적 영역 검사 도구를 중심으로 한 국내 과학 교육 연구 88편의 현황과 이들이 참고한 국내 외 원도구 57건의 현황을 분석했다. 그 후 원도구가 개정되었던 사례 5건의 특징과 구체적 문항 수정 사례를 비교했다. 연구 결과 국내 연구 현황에서는 지속적으로 나타난 주제와 최근에 출현하기 시작한 주제, 연구 목적과 평가 방법에 따른 연구 상황, 원도구 활용 현황 등이 분석되었다. 분석 대상 연구의 원도구 중 개정 과정이 공개된 5건의 검사 도구인 TOSRA, SAI, PISA 문항, STEBI-A/B, SMQ 등에 대해 개정 배경과 주요 사항을 분석했다. 개정 전후의 문항이 공개된 4개의 검사 문항을 비교해서 문항의 변천 과정을 분석했다. 분석 결과 문항 개선은 하위 구인의 변화에 따른 신설과 삭제, 가독성 향상, 의미를 명료화하는 방향으로 진행되고 있었다. 본 연구 결과의 시사점으로 여러 구인이 혼재된 검사 도구에서 얻은 결과 해석상 유의점, 연구의 지평을 넓혀주는 검사 도구의 가능성, 주관적 자기 보고에서 나타나는 오차 인식, 타학문에서 유래한 검사 도구를 과학과에 적용시킬 때 유의할 점 등을 제안했다.

To understand physical structures in the Korean waters, we investigated the spatio-temporal distribution of Pontella species known as indicator species of water mass using a David-Hempel neuston net from April 2002 to March 2003. Five Pontella species (P. chierchiae Giesbrecht, P. fera Dana, P. latifurca Chen and Zhang, P. securifer Brady and P. sinica Chen and Zhang) were found. Their abundance increased from May to October with increasing the surface water temperature. Pontella chierchiae predominantly appeared in the whole areas while P. latifurca scarcely occurred in coastal waters. The other three species (P. fera, P. securifer and P. sinica) were rarely found in the South Sea of Korea on August to September. We suggest that P. securifer and P. fera as oceanic species can play a role in an indicator species of the Tsushima Warm Current while P. sinica as Chinese coastal species is affected by the diluted waters of the Yantze River. We also provide re-description of the three species (P. chierchiae, P. fera and P. latifurca) insufficiently described and discuss their zoogeography.

In the transaction of credits, banks must examine the presentation to determine, on the basis of the documents alone, whether or not the documents appear on their face to constitute a complying presentation. And bank shall each have a maximum of five banking days following the day of presentation to determine if a presentation is complying. This period does not depend on any upcoming expiry date or last day for presentation. Data in a document, when read in context with the credit, the document itself and international standard banking practice, need not be identical to, but must not conflict with, data in i) that document; ii) any other stipulated document; or iii) the credit. When a bank determines that a presentation is complying, it must honour or negotiate. But, when a bank determine that a presentation does not comply, it may refuse to honour or negotiate. When a bank decides to refuse to honour or negotiate, it must give a single notice to that effect to the presenter. That notice must be given by telecommunication or, if that is not possible, by other expeditious means no later than the close of the fifth banking day following the day of presentation.

Purpose: Increasing numbers of Koreans have immigrated to the United States since the late 1960s. The first generation of Korean immigrants or their parents become old and institutionalized in American nursing home setting. Although the Korean elders would experience many cultural differences in the nursing home, no study to date has investigated their everyday lives on how they live through their later lives within a different cultural environment from their own. Methods: Using ethnographic methodology, the purpose of this paper was to illustrate Korean residents' experiences and daily lives in a nursing home located in an east coastal city in the U.S. Participant observation, filed notes, semi-structured interviews were utilized by means of data collection. Eighteen Korean residents were observed, and five of them and two nurses participated in informal qualitative interviews. Results: The overriding theme from the findings is "thrown in a different world." Three sub-themes include "constant struggles in making themselves understood", "dealing with culturally inappropriate nursing care," and "maintaining their own ways of life". Conclusions: The discovered themes reflect culturally isolated lives of the participants and open a venue for designing a culturally congruent nursing care for Korean elders living in the U.S. nursing homes.

This research focuses on determining the impact of human resource management activities on the compatibility and work results of employees of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) listed companies. The paper includes five parts: introduction, literature review, research methodology, research results, and conclusion and policy implications. The data are collected from the survey of 350 listed companies in HOSE, in which 315 survey notes filled with sufficient information are used for analysis. The paper employs both qualitative method and quantitative method. Group discussion of 10 experts is for qualitative research. Quantitative method performs analysis of Statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, EFA analysis, CFA analysis and SEM model. The results of the research clearly indicate that human resource management (HRM) activities are measured through improving the ability, improving the motivation and improving the opportunity. While compatibility is measured through suitability, connection and sacrifice; whereby HRM activities of ability improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability and connection; HRM activities of motivation improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability, connection and sacrifice; and HRM activities of opportunity improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability, sacrifice and connection; Finally, the job suitability, sacrifice and connection positively affect the work results of employees.

충생자낭균류(Laboulbeniales)의 3속(屬)에 속하는 5종(種)이 광릉지방과 다른 지역으로부터 Blattidae, Carabidae와 Nitidulidae의 곤충들 위에서 채집되어졌다. 그것들은 다음과 같다. Herpomyces periplanetae Thaxter는 Periplaneta japonica Karny에서, Herpomyces stylopygae Spegazzini는 Blatta orientalis(L)에서, Laboulbenia yamadae Ishikawa ex Terada는 Chlaenius variicornis Morawitz에서, Rickia pallodina Thaxter와 Rickia papuana Thaxter는 Pallodes umbratilis Reitter에서 채집되었다. 1991년과 1992년에 저자 등에 의하여 발표된 Herpomyces Periplanetae Thaxter는 표본을 재조사 동정(同定)한 결과 Herpomyces Stylopygae Spegazzini로 판명되었으며, 위의 종(種)들 중에서 Herpomyces periplanetae Thaxter와 Rickia pallodina Thaxter는 우리나라에서 처음으로 기록된 종(種)들이다.

근대 음악이 탄생하고 성장했던 바로크 시대의 음악은 영화를 위해 작곡된 음악은 아니지만 영화에 다양한 형태로 삽입되어 영화 전체의 분위기와 서사를 이끌어가고 등장인물의 감정과 내면세계를 표현하는데 중요한 기능적 역할을 담당한다. 이에 본 연구는 영화 <친절한 금자씨>에 사용된 테마곡인 비발디(A. Vivaldi)의 Cantata Rv.684를 포함한 5곡의 바로크 작품을 조성, 템포, 다이내믹, 음형, 음정, 화성, 리듬, 악기 편성, 장르 등의 다양한 관점을 통해 분석한 후 바로크 음악이 영화 속에서 어떠한 서사적 기능과 역할을 가지는지에 대해서 연구해 보고자 한다.
