교육 수요 조사를 통한 스마트 수산 양식 분야의 융합형 인재 양성 교육 프로그램 개발 방향 설정을 위한 탐색적 연구 (An exploratory study on establishment of a development direction on education training program for cultivating convergence human resources in smart aquaculture through a demand survey)

  • The objective of this study is to develop education programs for cultivating smart aquaculture experts through a education demand survey of industries, high school students, university (graduate) students and field workers. The industry demand analysis was conducted as an in-depth interview on representives from seven companies. Education demand surveys were conducted on 96 students and field workers in the Jeonnam region. Results on the demand survey were analyzed using frequency analysis and cross-analysis. The company representatives responded that they want to participated in internship and retraining programs to proactively secure manpowers with convergence capabilities about smart aquaculture. Seven companies preferred manpowers with basic competencies on ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) or aquaculture. The most respondents in the demand survey want to participate in the education program for experience on advanced technology, self-development and enhancement of work capability. On the other hand, some respondents said that the education is time-consuming and that the education program does not fit their level. Thus, the education program should be developed in a way to minimize the spatial and temporal limitations of education targets and to improve understanding of non-majors by reflecting the demands of human resources in the industrial field.

완도지역 미역가공업의 구조재편에 관한 사례 연구 (A Study on the Restructuring of Seaweed Processing Industry)

  • The seaweed processing industry in Korea has developed since the late of 1970s, motivated by exports of salted seaweed to the Japan market. However, due to the keen competition of Korean salted and dried seaweed with chinese products in the japan market, exports of Korean seaweed have been in the decreasing. It also has promoted the restructuring of the seaweed processing industry itself as follows: first, the processing type has been changed from the slated seaweed processing to the dried seaweed processing. Second, domestic markets for seaweed have been significantly expanded. This study is aimed to investigate some problems that the seaweed processing industry currently faces and to provide responding strategies for its development by analyzing a background, characteristics, and business types in the Wando region of Jeollanamdo that is a primary region of the seaweed processing industry in Korea. The background that the seaweed processing industry in Wando region could be started and developed is that first, small and mid-size salted seaweed processing companies have grown fast due to the exports to the japan market. Second, various business conditions, including seaweed materials, labors that are very important factors for the seaweed processing were more suitable compared to other regions. As characteristics of the seaweed processing industry, it shows that small-scale companies have a larger decreasing rate in sales and over 85% companies process seaweed together with other materials such as kelp, etc. The biggest problem that the seaweed processing industry has is that it has not timely responded to changes in domestic and international markets. Therefore, it is very important to cope with market changes by both introducing an aquaculture outlook service for seaweed and promoting higher value-added products and demands through publicities.

  • When it comes to the development of a retail market, it has not only influenced the supply and sales of seafood, but it has also led to considerable changes in consumers' purchasing behavior and purchasing purposes. As consumers' incomes and lifestyles have improved, the tendency to purchase seafood has rapidly changed. In addition, the increase in two-income family incomes that resulted from women's active participation in society has increased the number of consumers purchasing home meal replacements (HMR) or convenience food rather than original food. With these changes in social-economic background and in consumers' needs, the purchase of seafood is gradually changing. As a result, companies are constructing diverse marketing strategies to satisfy their needs. Companies' marketing strategies have an immediate and vital effect on consumers' purchases of seafood. The most important and fundamental role is providing an opportunity for consumers to choose what to buy by being giving information and knowledge. In this paper, the purchasing behavior of consumers buying seafood will be examined with respect to their knowledge. First, which factors among a diverse range of marketing strategies exerted a significant impact on consumers' objectives and subjective knowledge was examined. Second, the study investigated which knowledge factors were important in influencing attitudes and purchasing purposes based on knowledge level. By comparing and analyzing factors related to consumers' knowledge with respect to seafood purchases, information is provided to inform companies about efficient strategies for marketing tactics.

그물코의 길이와 콧수의 변화에 따른 모노필라멘트 자망 그물감의 중량 계산 (Calculation of weight on netting with the changes of size and number of mesh for monofilament gill net fishing gear)

  • A net-assembling company for gill net fishing gears makes a design based on the size of nets provided and determines floats, types of weights, and numbers. In addition, through the accurate examination of net weights in the process of fishing gear designing, it can prevent an excessive use of designing costs. The weight of twine can be easily calculated by its thickness differences, but the weight of netting has errors to be calibrated since the weight of netting is not changing exponentially with the changes of number and size of meshes. This study aims to suggest and empirically analyze the methods for estimating the weights of netting in accordance with the changes of number, size and thickness of meshes for a sound management of netting and net-assembling companies. Results indicated that the method using the knots and legs of netting was not practically usable because the errors were increased as the number of mesh increased. However, the method using netting area shown its usage potentiality with the calibration of the increasing ratio of mesh numbers.

Heckman 순서형 프로빗 모형을 이용한 소비자의 온라인 수산물 구매 결정요인 분석 (Analyzing the Determinants of Online Seafood Purchasing Using Heckman's Ordered Probit Sample-Selection Model)

  • In the post-COVID-19, the food industry is rapidly reshaping its market structure toward online distribution. Rapid delivery system driven by large distribution platforms has ushered in an era of online distribution of fresh seafood that was previously limited. This study surveyed 1,000 consumers nationwide to determine their online seafood purchasing behaviors. The research methodology used factor analysis of consumer lifestyle and Heckman's ordered probit sample-selection model. The main results of the analysis are as follows. First, quality, freshness, selling price, product reviews from other buyers, and convenience are particularly important considerations when consumers purchase seafood from online shopping. Second, online retailers and the government must prepare measures to expand seafood consumption by considering household characteristics and consumer lifestyles. Third, it was analyzed that consumers trust the quality and safety of seafood distributed online platforms. It is not possible to provide purchase incentives to consumers who consider value consumption important, so improvement measures are needed. The results of this study are expected to provide implications on consumer preferences to online platforms, seafood companies, and producers, and can be used to establish future marketing strategies.

IUU 어업 방지를 위한 국제적 규범과 우리나라 관련 법제의 개선방안 (International Laws for the Prevention of IUU Fishing and Improvement Plans for Related Law Systems in Korea)

  • Efforts to prevent IUU fishing began in 1996 as the IUU Antarctic Marine Living Resources Conservation Committee reported the multilateral efforts of the international community and related international organizations to prevent IUU fishing. Korea has recently been pointed out by the international community as to many problems regarding its will to eradicate IUU fishing. It is true that Korea has ever been designated as an 'IUU participating country' or a 'non-cooperative third country' by the international community and that there have been considerable difficulties in exporting seafood and using ports along with the deterioration of the national image. In 2020, with the efforts of related organizations and fisheries companies, Korea is now free from being known as a that Korea has recovered some degrees of trust from the international community through strengthening legal sanctions against IUU fishing and thorough implementation of follow-up measures is now free from non-cooperating country it cannot be said that the basic problems have been completely resolved just because it has emerged as a disgraceful country, and the current state of IUU fishing of Korea leaves a room for designation as a 'non-cooperative third country' again at any time in the future. Accordingly, there is an urgent need to examine the problems of the IUU fishing-related legal system in Korea and to come up with an improvement plan. Therefore, this paper reviews international norms for IUU fishing regulation (PSMA etc.) and domestic laws with the Distant Water Fisheries Development Act and Propose the improvement methods for related legal systems in Korea.

항만물류산업에 적합한 XML/EDl 방안 연구 (A Study on the Optimal XML/EDl Method for the Port and Logistics Industry)

  • Korean government, port and logistics companies have given a lot of their efforts to exchange electronic documents between themselves and their partners. As the results of them, Korean EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) standards were made by Korean EDIFACT committee and the standards have been used by companies and governmental organizations in Korea. However, Korean port and logistics EDI system is based on YAN(Value Added Network) and one VAN company has monopolistic right to relay EDI documents to Korean HOMAF(Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries) and Customs Service. Therefore it leads to a lot of problems such as inconvenient software, expensive transmission fee, insufficient improvement of business process and the difficulty of connection with the in-house systems of user companies. For solving these problems, this study is aimed to progress for XML and XML-based electronic commerce framework. This paper shows a optimal XML/EDl method using XML/EDl, BizTalk Framework, ebXML Framework. Fer improving extant problems in port and logistics industry, this paper proposed XML/EDl system based on system architectural level, support technical level, business infrastructure level.

  • There are a large number of researches concerning about artificial reefs in Japan, and many Japanese companies have developed and specialized in the coastal engineering in recent years. Various shape, size and material of artificial reefs are constructed, however, concrete and steel structures are popular material in Japan. Five kinds of artificial reefs were put down on gravel bottoms 5-10 m deep in February 1999, which is located 100 m off Ikata, Shikoku, southern part of Japan. (omitted)

  • The purpose of this study is to extract the factors affecting service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty and to find out what effect service quality & customer satisfaction, service quality & customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction & customer loyalty respectively. The results of hypothesis testing through regression analysis showed that the hypothesis between service quality of ship management company and customer satisfaction was accepted in terms of all 5 service quality dimensions of tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Also, the hypothesis between service quality of ship management companies and customer loyalty was accepted in terms of all 5 service quality dimensions of tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Lastly, the hypothesis between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty was accepted.

  • These days business logistics has become one of the very important factors of logistics cost reduction and customer service satisfaction. In order to control business logistics more effectively, many companies must be concerned about logistics performance.This study aims at analyzing information system characteristic and logistics performance. The information system characteristic variables are considered IS resource, IS strategic role. The logistics performance variables are considered logistic cost, customer service.For data on the 301 sampled company, a mail survey using a questionnaire was conducted in this study. The following results were obtained.First, IS characteristic variables were significant for logistics performance. Specially, efficient management of IS manpower and IS planning, present IS were significant for logistics performance. Second, there also were IS manpower and IS planning, present IS that indentifing high logistics performance group and low logistics performance group.
