8종 어란의 일반성분, 아미노산, n-3 지방산 및 무기질 비교 (Comparison of Proximate, Amino Acid, n-3 Fatty Acid and Mineral Compositions of Fish Roes of Eight Species)

  • This study was conducted to identify the food components and nutrition value of major fish roes on the market in Korea. The proximate compositions of the roes were 60.02-82.85% moisture, 14.61-29.21% protein, 1.24-14.59% lipid and 0.88-1.78% ash. The major total amino acids in the roes were glutamic acid, leucine, aspartic acid, lysine, and alanine. The major fatty acids were 22:6n-3 (docosahexenoic acid, 9.37-32.68%), 16:0 (5.96-21.39%), 18:1n-9 (12.64-25.30%), and 20:5n-3 (eicosapentaenoic acid, 3.79-16.99%). The mean major-mineral levels were phosphorus (291.63 mg/100 g edible portion), potassium (271.00 mg), sodium (175.86 mg), calcium (24.02 mg), and magnesium (22.15 mg). The mean trace-mineral levels were zinc (7.75 mg), iron (3.68 mg), and copper (0.81 mg). The results suggest that these fish roes are good sources of proteins, amino acids, n-3 fatty acids and minerals.

Tracing the origin of fish without hatchery information: genetic management of stock enhancement for mangrove red snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) in Taiwan

  • Stock enhancement is considered to be a valuable approach for restoring fishery resources. Because no specific official institution in Taiwan is responsible for the production of fry, the released fry are purchased directly from the private sector. However, fishermen from the private industry have not established a genetic background, so the genetic composition for each batch of released fry is unclear. Mangrove red snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus), a prominent species released in Taiwan, was collected after its official release. One hundred and two field samples were compared with four batches of hatchery fry (n = 685) by using a microsatellite-based multiplex PCR assay. Four of the field samples (3.9%; 4/102) were revealed to be from a fish farm and most likely from a single batch. This study revealed that wild mangrove red snappers are genetically different from those originating from farms, and their origins can be traced through molecular markers, even without information on breeding stocks.

천연산 각시붕어 (Rhodeus uyekii) 혼인색의 색소 조성 (Nuptial Color Component of the Korean Rose Bitterling (Rhodeus uyekii))

  • 한국 특산어인 각시붕어 (Rhodeus uyekii)는 산란기인 5월 중순에서 6월 초순사이에 나타나는 혼인색이 아름다워 관상어로서의 개발 가능성이 높다. 자라서 혼인색이 가장 많이 나타나는 시기에 이 어류의 체표, 지느러미 둥에 분포하는 색소 조성을 알아보았다. 각시붕어 혼인색의 주성분은 carotenoids인 것으로 나타났다. 천연산 각시붕어의 표피 및 지느러미 부위의 총 carotenoid의 함량은 산란기 어류에서 $44.9mg\%$, 비산란기는 $41.8mg\%$로 나타나 산란기에서 다소 높은 경향을 나타냈다. Carotenoids의 조성에서는 자연 수계에서 산란기에서는 zeaxanthin $36.7\%$, $\beta$-carotene $30.1\%$ 및 diatoxanthin $16.4\%$, 비산란기에서는 $\beta$-carotene $41.2\%$, diatoxanthin $18.1\%$ 및 isocryptoxanthin $14.0\%$로 나타나 산란기의 carotenoid 주성분은 zeaxanthin이며 비산란기의 carotenoid 주성분은 $\beta$-carotene으로 carotenoids 조성의 차이를 보였다.

습성천이에 따른 동해안 석호의 어류군집 분석 (Analysis of Fish Community of Lagoons in the East Seashore According to Hydrach Succession)

  • 2007년부터 2008년까지 동해안에 분포하는 8개 석호에 대한 어류군집에 대하여 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 조사기간 동안 확인된 어류는 총 34과 66종 126,224개체였으며 생체량은 2,024.8 kg이었다. 각 석호의 출현종과 개체수를 대상으로 군집분류를 실시한 결과 보존이 양호한 그룹, 담수의 영향을 받는 그룹, 그리고 해수의 영향을 받는 그룹 등 3그룹으로 나누어졌다. 한편 선행연구자료를 각 연대별로 나누고 본 조사에서 출현한 담수어, 기수어, 그리고 해수어의 종구성비를 비교한 결과, 1990년대 이후부터 담수어가 감소하고 해수어가 증가하는 등 일부 석호에서 어류군집의 변화가 역동적으로 변화하고 있었다. 이러한 변화는 기수호에서 담수호로 변화해가는 자연적인 습성천이에 대한 역천이로 볼 수 있으며 향후 석호의 보존 및 관리, 그리고 복원을 실시할 때에는 석호 본연의 생태적 특성과 습성천이 과정에 대하여 충분히 검토 및 고려되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

동해 남부 연안 정치망어업의 수온에 따른 종조성 변동 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Changes in Species Composition with Water Temperature in Set Net Fishing on the Southern Coast of the East Sea)

  • The southern coast of the East Sea is an important area affected by large warm currents as it connects the coastal waters of Jeju Island, the South Sea, and Dokdo. From 2017 to 2021, the average catch per unit effort (CPUE; kg/day/ship) of set net fishery at six ports in the Gyeongbuk region off the southern coast of the East Sea was the highest in Gampo, Gyeongju, and the lowest in Hupo, Uljin. Although the seasonal variation in the CPUE differed by region and year, it was generally high in autumn. In the set net fishery in Pohang from 2019 to 2021, we identified 72 species, which decreased to 56 species in 2019, 46 in 2020, and 41 in 2021. The species diversity index slightly increased over the three-year periods. We found positive correlations between the total catch (kg) of subtropical species in autumn and the water temperature at 50 m. Among the most abundant species, we found substantially positive correlations between the CPUE of Scomber japonicus, Scomberomous spp. and Carangids. We also noted positive correlations between the CPUE of Todarodes pacificus, Seriola spp. and Carangids.

한국 주요 어종의 지방산 조성 및 ${\omega}-3$ 고도 불포화 지방산의 함량 (Fatty Acid Composition and Content of Omega-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids of Major Fishes Caught in Korean Seas)

  • 우리나라에서 어획되는 주요 어류 10종에 대해 지방질함량과 총지방질, 중성 및 극성지방질의 지방산 조성을 분석 하였다. 시료어종의 지방질을 구성하는 주된 지방산은 $C_{16:0}(14{\sim}24%)$, $C_{16:1}(4{\sim}13%)$, $C_{18:1}(8{\sim}29%)$, $C_{20:5}(4{\sim}18%)$, $C_{22:6}(6{\sim}33%)$ 등이었다. ${\omega}-3$계 고도불포화지방산은 어종에 따라 총지방산중 $18{\sim}48%$로 큰 차이를 나타냈다. 한편 어체를 기준으로 EPA를 다량 함유하고 있는 어종은 정어리 (1.55%), 전어 (1.11%),임연수어 (0.93%)등이고 DHA의 함유량이 높은 어종은갈치 (1.68%), 임연수어 (1.11%). 정어리 (0.95%)등으로 나타났다. 어유 기준으로는 정어리유(16.0%), 멸치유(15.6%), 명태유, 임연수어유, 전어유 등에서EPA의 함량이 10.0%이상이었으며 DHA의 함량은 꽁치유가 29.2%로 가장 많고 명태유, 멸치유, 고등어유, 가자미유도 l6.0%이상의 높은 함유량을 나타냈다.

감천 중 ${\cdot}$ 상류역의 어류상과 갈겨니 (Zacco temminckii) 개체군의 생태학적 특성 (Fish Fauna and Ecological Characteristics of Dark Chub (Zacco temminckii) Population in the Mid-Upper Region of Gam Stream)

  • 감천다목적댐 건설사업 이전의 환경영향평가를 수행하기 위해 감천 중 ${\cdot}$ 상류역의 어류군집이 2001년부터 2003년까지 계절별로 조사되었다. 2004년 8월에는 영향평가 자료의 어류상 확인과 더불어 갈겨니 개체군의 생태학적 특성을 파악하기 위해 추가조사가 이루어졌다. 환경영향평가와 추가조사를 통해 총 5과 14종에 해당하는 1,081개체의 어류가 조사지역으로부터 확인되었다. 그 중 쉬리, 긴몰개, 돌마자, 자가사리, 꺽지, 동사리 등 6종의 한국고유종이 조사된 반면 멸종위기종은 발견되지 않았다. 갈겨니에 대한 길이-무게 상관관계, 비대지수 (K), 상대적비대지수 (Kn)는 조사지점별 하천별로 비교되었다 길이-무게 상관관계를 기본으로 한 수식은 부항천이 TW\;=\;0.000004TL^{3.2357}$ 감천이 TW\;=\;0.000002TL^{3.3566}$ 으로서 감천의 갈겨니가 부항천의 같은 크기의 갈겨니에 비해 조금 더 비대하다는 것을 알았다. 또한 전장에 따른 비대지수와의 관계를 살펴본 결과 감천이 부항천보다 높은 기울기 (0.0052)를 갖고 있는데 이는 1년생 (대략 전장이 70 mm) 이하의 갈겨니 치어들은 부항천 (평균 K와 Kn = 0.939, 1.14)과 감천(평균 K와 Kn = 0.955, 1.14)에서 비슷한 경향을 보이는 반면 70 mm 이상의 개체군이 부항천 (평균 K와 Kn = 1.046, 1.14)에 비해 감천 (평균 K와 Kn = 1.116, 1.21)에서 훨씬 양호한 영양상태를 보였다. 이러한 결과들은 부항천 유역에서 2001년도 가뭄과 2002년도 태풍 'Rusa' 및 2003년도 태풍 'Maemi'로 인한 자연적 교란과 바로 연이은 하천복구공사와 같은 인간 활동으로 인한 서식지 교란의 결과와도 잘 일치하였다. 그러므로 환경영향평가 시 어류 종조성의 확인뿐만 아니라 개체군 수준에서의 생태학적 특성조사 또한 환경영향평가로서 수행되어야 된다고 사료된다.

잉어아과에 속하는 묵납자루와 각시붕어의 Carotenoid 색소성분의 비교 (Comparison of Carotenoid Pigments in Korean Bittering, Cheilognathus signifer and Bride Bittering, Rhodeus ukekii in the Subfamily Cyprinidae)

  • Differences in carotenoid composition in the integument of Korean bittering, Cheilognathus signifer and bride bittering, Rhodeus ukekii which are Korean native fresh water fish were compared. Total ca rotenoid contents in the integument of wild Korean bittering was 2.11mg% and composed of 42.6% zeaxanthin, 12.1% diatoxanthin and 12.1% lutein epoxide which are predominant carotenoids and 10.3% cynthiaxanthin, 8.3% zeaxanthin epoxide, 6.4% lutein and 1.5% cryptoxanthin which are minor carotenoids. Total ca rotenoid contents in the integument of wild bride bittering was 4.99mg% during a spawning period but after the spawning period it was decreased to 4.17mg% and carotenoid composition of bride bittering during the spawning period was 46.7% zeaxanthin, 26.5% diatoxanthin and 12.3% lutein which are predominant carotenoids, and 6.2% zeaxanthin epoxide, 3.1% cynthiaxanthin, 2.9% cryptoxanthin and 0.7% canthax anthin which are minor carotenoids. These results indicated that the carotenoid composition of bride bittering during spawning period was very similar to that of Korean bittering and carotenoid composition of bride bittering after the spawning period was 30.5% diatoxanthin, 21.5% cynthiaxanthin and 16.8% zeaxanthin which are predominant carotenoids and 14.0% cryptoxanthin, 11.3% lutein and 3.4% can thaxanthin which are minor carotenoids, indicating that after the spawning period, the content of zeaxanthin was decreased while that of cryptoxanthin and cynthiaxanthin was increased as compared to that of the spawning period. Total carotenoid contents in Korean bittering and bride bittering was relatively higher than that in other species of cyprinidae whereas composition of the carotenoid was similar.

An Analysis on Landscape Structure and Biodiversity of the Bokha Stream as a Model to Restore the Degraded Urban Stream

  • Landscape structure, habitat types, vegetation structure and biodiversity in the Bokha stream chosen as a reference stream were investigated to get ecological information necessary for restoration of urban stream degraded by excessive artificial interference. Landscape structure showed a slight change between before and after flooding. Habitat types of nine sorts were identified based on ecological information obtained from field survey such as micro-topography, hydrological characteristics, disturbance regime, and so on. Each habitat holds specific organisms to each site. Consequently, the number of plant communities, and species of benthos and fish increased as the kinds of habitat type increase. Ordination of habitat types based on vegetation, benthos, and fish data reorganized them into three groups of pool types of two kinds depending on whether they are connected to the water course or not and riffle one. Vegetation showed different stratification and species composition depending on topographical position in relation to disturbance cycle. Based on the results from this study, relationship between environmental heterogeneity and biodiversity was discussed and a restoration plan was suggested in a viewpoint of vegetation.

생분해성 가자미 자망어업의 어획 특성 (Catch characteristics of the biodegradable gill net for flounder)

  • There are many studies of the biodegradable net for fishing to prevent marine pollution in Korea and the snow crab gill nets is developed effectively. Recently, the biodegradable gill net for fishes is being developed. This study is the experiment of the catch characteristics for the biodegradable flounder gill net. The 8 experiments were carried out using the nylon gill net and the biodegradable gill net in from August to October, 2011 in the southern East Sea. The results obtained from the above approaches are summarized as follows; A total of 16 species was caught with most dominant species of Cleisthenes pinetorum followed by Liparis tanakai, Glyptocephalus stelleri, Buccinum striatissimum and Dasycottus setiger. A total of catch of the nylon net was 342,885g and that of the biodegradable net was 236,857g. Thus catch of the nylon net was 1.45 times more than that of the biodegradable net. The length composition of Cleisthenes pinetorum, caught by the biodegradable net was very similar to that of nylon. As a result of analysis on the effect of submerged time, small fish escaped more easily than large fish as the submerged time is getting longer. And catches of the biodegradable net was less than the nylon net's as higher as wave height. Wave height was more influential factor for fishing capacity than submerged time based on the results of a comparison between catch difference of two kinds of gill nets and catch characteristics.
