Introduction This is the first case report of a soyangin suffering from burning feet syndrome who reported a significant improvement after taking Sukjiwhanggosam-tang. Case presentation The patient complained of hot feet, pain and numbness that occurred during the night. The patient was diagnosed with 'Yin deficiency diurnal fever disease' and treated with Sukjiwhanggosam-tang as well as acupuncture and cupping therapy. The degree of improvement in heat sensation, pain and numbness was expressed in numeric rating scale compared to the first visit. Conclusion After treatment, the heat sensation, pain and numbness of feet was decreased significantly, and the condition improved much at night.

The Ewing`s sarcoma is the primary malignant bone tumor but the tumor also occurs as a primary soft tissue neoplasm without involvement of bone. Here is presented a case of extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma in the posterior and superior mediastinum with review of literature. To our knowledge, this is the first case report of extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma in Korea.

Round atelectasis is an uncommon benign pulmonary condition not relevant to neoplastic or inflammatory lung disease, usually presenting as a peripheral parenchymal round mass density on a chest roentgenogram. Recently, authors experienced one patient with this disease entity associated with spontaneous pneumothorax who was treated surgically with a successful outcome. The case is thought to be the first documented report of round atelectasis in Korea.

Objectives: FCTC is the first international convention in public health field. Global progress report is about the implementations of the FCTC that are conducted with comparison and analysis for recent trend of tobacco control policies and convention performances on the global level. Methods: By conducting literature review related to tobacco control, expecially through reviewing Implementation of the WHO FCTC GPR(2014), this report compared and analyzed Korea's status of tobacco control based on tobacco control policy in every member state. Results: As a result of the comparison of FCTC to Korea's tobacco control policy, for the first, the most outstanding article that has been peformed continuously is Article 8, 12, 14. Secondly, the policy that has been partially renovated and reinforced is Article 6, 9, 10, 11, and for the last, the policy that has no progress and needs improvement is Article 13. Conclusions: For improvement in Korea's tobacco control policy in the future, first, betterment in policies on categories about advertisements, promotions, sponsorships on tobacco products that passed FCTC commitment period is required along with the modifications of FCTC related laws and reinforcement of the policies, and development of national core competence for an effective implementation of the convention.

During a study of harpacticoid copepods from Korea, one species of the family Orthopsyllidae was found by rinsing macroalgae collected from the intertidal and subtidal zones at Hangaechang, Munseum Islet in Jeju Island of Korea. The Orthopsyllus is closely related to Orthopsyllus linearis curvaspinata Mielke, 1993, however it is distinguished from the original description by the combined characters of slightly slender caudal seta V in the female, relatively short and ovoid caudal ramus, the seta formula of P3, and the length of P2 and P4 endopod in the male. Since Orthopsyllus linearis (Claus, 1866) is notorious for its incomplete previous descriptions and therefore its polymorphic status, it is premature to fix the status of present Orthopsyllus species from Korea, without the detailed comparative study among the congeners. However due to the urgent need for the report of the genus in the region, we report this species as Orthopsyllus linearis (Claus, 1866) like but different one within the genus: Orthopsyllus cf. linearis (Claus,1866). This is the first report of the genus Orthopsyllus for the first time in Korea.

The Mediastinal lipoma is an uncommon tumor in the literature. The literaure concerning mediastinal lipomas began with the first case report by Fothergill in 1781 and about 120 cases had been reported till 1969. We experienced one case of huge mediastinal lipoma, which was 885gm in weight, The mass was successfully removed through the right posterolateral thoracotomy and pathologic report confirmed pure adipose tissure. The patient`s postoperative course was uneventful and he was discharged on the 17th day.

The report describes a case of natural E. ewingii infection confirmed by microscopic examination and molecular analyses in a domestic dog with acute lameness. After the diagnosis, the dog was successfully treated with oral doxycycline. To authors' knowledge, this is the first case report of natural E. ewingii infection in dogs in South Korea.

This is a case report of first branchial cleft cyst in 56 year old male patient, which was tentatively diagnosed as acute right submandibular abscess resulted from the periapical lesion of the lower right second molar. The results are as follows, 1. The accompanying ipsilateral inflammatory swelling resulted from the periapical lesion of lower right second molar tooth makes the diagnosis difficult. 2. The onset of this case was very late in comparison to the mean discovering age of branchial cleft cysts. 3. The plain radiography using contrast media is helpful for the diagnosis of cystic lesions within soft tissues. 4. This case in a first branchial cleft cyst(Type I) which occurs less than 1% of all branchial cleft anomalies.

Fusarium wilt of zucchini in Jeonju, Korea, was first noticed in May 2013. Symptoms included wilting of the foliage, drying and withering of older leaves, and stunting of plants. Infected plants eventually died during growth. Based on morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analyses of the molecular markers (internal transcribed spacer rDNA and translation elongation factor $1{\alpha}$), the fungus was identified as Fusarium oxysporum. Pathogenicity of a representative isolate was demonstrated via artificial inoculation, and it satisfied Koch's postulates. To our knowledge, this is the first report of F. oxysporum causing wilt of zucchini in Korea.

Breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) has received increasing interest among plastic surgeons as a long-term complication of breast augmentation. Although the prognosis is usually good, mortality is a possible outcome. Most of the cases reported in the past two decades have been from the United States, Europe, and Australia, whereas cases of BIA-ALCL in Asia remain rare. Herein, we describe the first known case of BIA-ALCL in Thailand, in which a 32-year-old woman developed BIA-ALCL 3 years after breast augmentation using textured implants. The patient underwent bilateral removal of the implants and ipsilateral total capsulectomy. This case report-the first of its kind from Thailand-should increase awareness of BIA-ALCL among plastic surgeons in Asia. The true incidence of BIA-ALCL in Asia may be underreported.
