Specimens of the genus Orobdella Oka, 1895 from Korea, including various locations in the Korean Peninsula, were identified as Orobdella tsushimensis Nakano, 2011. Phylogenetic analyses using mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit 1 (COI), ND1, $tRNA^{Cys}$, $tRNA^{Met}$, 12S rRNA, $tRNA^{val}$, and 16S rRNA markers show that the newly collected specimens form a monophyletic group with the known O. tsushimensis specimens. The genetic distance of COI of these specimens was in the range 0.4-6.6%. These results confirm that the newly collected specimens belong to O. tsushimensis. This is the first record of the genus Orobdella from the Korean Peninsula.

This is the first report of Pterygotrigla multiocellata from the family Triglidae, collected in Korea. The specimen (314 mm in standard length) was caught in a gill net in the coastal waters of Jeju Island on 11 February 2010. This species is characterized by the following morphological traits: head large and triangular, bony plates absent along the base of the second dorsal fin, antrorse rostral spine long, and cleithral spine long. We suggest a new Korean name, "Gin-ppul-mit-seong-dae" for P. multiocellata.

A terrestrial talitrid amphipod, Platorchestia japonica (Tattersall, 1922), has been recorded for the first time from Korea. This species was collected from riversides (Han River, Bukhan River and Hantan River) in Korea. Descriptions of diagnostic characters of the species are provided in the text. A key to the four species of Korean Platorchestia is also provided.

1997년 10월 경상북도 울릉군 독도연안에서 한국미기록 어종인 동갈돔과 (Apogonidae)의 Apogon cookii 2개체를 채집하였다. 이 종은 줄동갈돔 (A. endekataenia)과 유사하나 체측의 암갈색 세로띠의 수가 5개이며 꼬리지느러미 기부에 눈의 동공크기의 둥근 흑색반점이 있는 점으로 구별된다. 이 종의 신한국명은 "다섯줄얼게비늘"이라 명명하였다.

On 28 April 2008, a male Himalayan Swiftlet (Aerodramus brevirostris) was captured and examined at a night roost of swallows on Hongdo Island, Jeollanam-do, Korea. This is the first record of this species from Korea confirmed by specimen examination. We describe morphological features and some phylogenetic notes of the Himalayan Swiftlet found.

An alpheid shrimp Betaeus gelasinifer Nomura and Komai, 2000 new to Korean waters is described and illustrated based on two specimens collected from Changseun and Ulleungdo Island, Korea. This is the first record of B. gelasinifer outside Japanese waters. B. gelasinifer is readily separated from B. granulimanus Yokoya, 1927, the only member of Betaeus from Korea by the morphological differences in the first pereopods and the diaeresis of uropod. Brief note on the armature of cutting edge of the chela of the left first pereopod in Korean female specimen of B. gelasinifer is provided.

The Fraser's dolphin, Lagenodelphis hosei has a pantropical distribution. Only several stranding or catch data were available from Japan and Taiwan in the north-west Pacific region. An adult female L. hosei stranded in Jeju-do, Korea. The specimen was identified by external features and skull measurements. It showed the same external appearance ratio and range in the number of teeth with L. hosei former described. The cranial measurements also well corresponded to condylobasal length proportions given in the previous descriptions of the holotype. This is the first record of the species in Korean waters. We report the information on external and osteological characters of the specimen.

망둑어과에 속하는 Clariger cosmurus 4개체의 표본들을 국내의 남해안에서 채집하였고, 한국의 미기록종으로 기재한다. 본종은 2개의 등지느러미, 눈 아래의 6개의 수염이 있고, 주둥이 끝에서부터 미병부까지 몸의 측면을 따라 어두운 갈색 줄무늬를 가지는 것이 특징이다. 본 연구에서 우리는 본 속과, 종의 국명을 각각 왜망둑속, 왜망둑으로 제안한다.

Three specimens (33.6-44.8 mm in standard length) of the family Bregmacerotidae, collected from the waters off south-western Jeju-do Island in October 2016, were identified as Bregmaceros nectabanus on the basis of morphological and molecular methods (DNA barcoding). This species is characterized by having 50-52 2nd dorsal fin rays, 52-53 anal fin rays, 13 principal caudal fin rays, an unpigmented abdomen, irregularly distributed dorsal chromatophores, and the origin of a dorsal fin slightly behind the anal fin. This is the first reliable record of B. nectabanus in Korea. According to Yoo et al. (1992), we propose a Korean name "Tae-Pyeong-Yang-Nal-Gae-Myeol" for this species. Also, we suggest key to species of these eight bregmacerotids from the northwestern Pacific.

First record of a stranded Melon-headed whale (Peponocephala electra) on the south-east coast of Korea was described. Full body and skull measurements were taken from the specimen. It was identified as P. electra by unique pointed flipper tips. Skull measurements of the specimen corresponded to condylobasal length proportions given in the previous descriptions of the holotype.
