PP가공용 실리콘 유연제의 제조 및 유연최적화 (Preparation and Optimization of Silicone Softener for PP Finish)

  • An emulsion of octadecamidoethylaminoethyl dodecate (which provides softness) and an emulsion silicone oil KF-96 (which provides lubricity) were separately synthesized. Then PP finishing softeners (SSA-7) was prepared by blending of the synthesized emulsions with beef tallow hardened oil (a softness improving agent). PP finishing treatment was carried out with the prepared SSA-7 and PP finishing resin by a one bath method, and several physical properties were tested. As a result, crease recovery, tear strength, softness, lubricity, and bending resistance were all good, indicating that the prepared SSA-7 is a good PP finishing softener.

  • This study was carried out to investigate increasing the neutral substantivity of anionic dyes for cationic-modified cotton fabric treatied with cationic agent. In the present study 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethyl ammonium chloride for reactive cationic agent was produced by reaction of epichlorohydrine with trimethylamine hydrochloride. 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride was converted in an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide into glycidyltrimethylammonium chloride. By treating with this epoxy reagent the hydroxyl groups of cotton fabric was modified to trimethylammonium group through ether linkage. The introduction of new cationic sites into cotton fabric by pretreating with cationic agent improves the substantivity of anionic dyes with the cotton in dyebath. Dyeablity of the modified cotton fabric for direct and reactive dyes was much improved in a non-electrolytic or a little electrolytic dyebath and was proportional to the concentration of cationic agent.

  • The hardening system of polyurethanes has usually caused by air pollution. bad working condition and fire hazard according to using orgarnic solvents. Therefore there have been researched on emulsion, water soluble and colloid-dispersion based water soluble instead of using organic solvents recently. This study synthesized polyurethane dispersing particle by means of mixing precursor and neutralized emulsion method. In the first step, polyurethane was preparated from isophorone diisocyanate and poly (ethylene-adipate) glycol, and got precursor by introducing dimethyl propionic acid as a hydrophilic group. Synthesized polyurethane was bonded to the surface of fiber and crosslinked as a anti-static agent, and then looked for the change of color and softening property.

  • For developing digital printing textiles, special pretreatment processes are necessary. These processes include developing formulation of coating agent and coating processes. The pretreatment were investigated with the variation concentration of anti-migration agent, fixation chemical etc.. The printing qualities according to pretreatment conditions were studied with color yield, printed capital letter sharpness and washing fastness. It was observed that the concentration of anti-migration agent, fixation agent(alkali) was closely related to printing qualities. For developing industrial technology of cellulosic digital printing textiles, optimum viscosity of pretreatment coating formulation is very important factor.

발수가공 데이터의 분산분석 (ANOVA for Water Repellent Finish data)

  • Most of silicone used for water repellent finish is MHP (methyl hydrodiene polysiloxane), which is formed by hydrolysis and condensation polymerization of MHD (methyl hydrodiene dichlorosilane: Me H Si $Cl_2$). The cross-linking theory explains the water repellent mechanism of MHP. The silicone finish on fiber could improve in handle, softness, abrasion resistance, soil repellency, tear strength and crease resistance, as well as water repellency. According to using method silicone-water repellent finishing agents, could be devided into air dry type and curing type. MHP is the typical curing type of water repellent finishing agent, and this type requires the curing temperature above $150^{\circ}C$ at least. High curing temperature is the very drawback of this curing type. For this reason, there has been global interest in the lowering of its temperature. The objective of this study is to investigate merits of alkali treatment for silicone finishing by ANOVA and LSD (least significant difference).

  • The setting behavior of disulfide-enriched wool and disulfide-crosslinked silk obtained by treatment with a disulfide-containing crosslinking agent, bis $(\beta-isocyanatoethyl)$ dissulfide was compared with that of untreated wool and silk under the absence and the presence of a reducing agent. Rearrangment of secondary bonds facilitated by cleavage of crosslinks as well as rearrangement of crosslinks itself seems to play an important role in the set stability.

Silane Coupling제를 이용한 면직물의 황토염색 (Loess Dyeing on Cotton Fabrics using Silane Coupling Agent)

  • The effects of silane coupling agent on the performance properties of cotton fabrics treated with loess and its washing durability were investigated. Mean average diameter of loess was 17.88㎛ and main components were SiO₂, Al₂O₃ and Fe₂O₃. By using the cationic agent, the dyeability of cotton fabrics was improved. The washing durability, antibacterial property and deodorization rate were improved and very good emissivities of far infra-red rays were obtained by using the silane coupling agent. And also the mechanical properties of cotton fabrics, such as primary hand values, were improved.

  • We investigated the effect of color depth on polyester fabrics by plasma treatment. In this study, although it have many paper about effects of plasma treatment, we observed interfacial electrokinetic potential of polyester fabrics by plasma treatment and also we investigated relationship between deep coloring agent and plasma treatment to get the effect of color depth on polyester fabrics. The results obtained are as follows, 1. Plasma treatment did not enhanced the effect of color depth of polyester fabrics by plasma treatment independently. 2. In the case of using the deep coloring agent with plasma treatment on polyester fabrics, lightness was more decreased than using the deep coloring agent itself. 3. Plasma treatment could not affect surface shape and tensile strength of treated polyester fabrics.

시판 표백제가 효소배합 세제의 세척성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Added Commercial Bleaching Agent in Detergency of Enzyme Mixed Deterging Agent)

  • In order to investigate the detergency effects of various detergents to stained polyester & cotton fabric with solid soils such as carbon black, liquid paraffin and fat, the optimum washing conditions according to the types of washing agent, the assesment of detergency effect by the measurement of reflectance after and before washing were studied. The detergency effect of various detergents to stained polyester and cotton fabric increased by using the mixtures of bleaching and enzyme detergent. In order to obtain the excellent detergency effect, 2-step treatment, the pre-washing with bleaching agent and bleaching-enzyme mixture detergent treatment is preferred. In comparison of the detergency to polyester and cotton fabric, it is assumed that the detergency to polyester stained fabric was superior than that to cotton stained fabric because of the difference of adhesive force between soil material and fabric in preparing solid stained fabric.
