  • In green building certificated housing complex, although various planning factors in terms of 'Energy resource and Environmental impact' were adopted, the residents' consciousness for their economical and psycholgical effect has not been found. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the usability of environment-friendly factors, with regard to the aspects of 'energy resource and environment impact' and residents, consciousness for them in order to provide the useful information to design the user-oriented green building house complex better than previous ones. the finding were summarized as follows: 1)Increasing awareness of 'green building certificated housing complex', Resident should feel contribution to the environment. 2)When mass housing planning, the development of sensible certification is required. 3)Green building certificated housing complex should change from 'certification for the Financial compensation' to 'certification for the Contribution to the environment'.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the corresponding mechanisms between residential spaces and living by analysing the physical spaces of Hanok residential buildings with the architectural financial program of the Gyeongju city, and their residents' needs for living, and to afford architectural planning data needed to develop new aspects of residence in a traditional cultural city. This study is based on the above analysis, an attempt was made in this study to suggest the architectural planning approach to the Hanok type houses by taking both cultural continuity and historical views into consideration, in order to restore the bedraggled old houses in the Gyeongju areas and create a new house type.

  • Assessing user information requirements is one of the most important issues in building Executive Information Systems. Application of the Balanced Score Card method as a tool for strategic planning and performance measurement has been increasing recently in various fields. However there has been meager attempt to apply the method to user requirement analysis, in particular, for small and medium sized companies. This study surveyed 79 executives of small and medium sized companies in Korea. The study founds the applicability of BSC for analyzing user requirements of EIS, in terms of financial, customer, internal process, learning and growth perspectives. The paper also suggested several guidelines for using BSC to improve user satisfaction to the practitioners who are operating or planning to build EIS in the small and medium sized companies.

  • Disassembly scheduling is the problem of determining the quantity and timing of disassembling used or end-of-life products while satisfying the demand of their parts and/or components over a planning horizon. The case of assembly product structure is considered while the resource capacity constraints are explicitly considered. A cost-based objective is considered that minimizes the sum of disassembly operation and inventory holding costs. The problem is formulated as an integer programming model, and a two-stage heuristic with construction and improvement algorithms is suggested in this paper. To test the performance of the heuristic, computational experiments are done on randomly generated problems, and the results show that the heuristic gives near optimal solutions within a very short amount of computation time.

  • As the typical farming of the most Asian countries are of small and subsisting scale, the infrastructure is variable depending on the region and more complicated than in the industrialized countries. Except such basic statistics as acreage of farm land, farming population and production, there are no common standard methods to be used for indepth analysis on the farming status, the level of farming techniques, financial status of farming, consciousness of farmers and others. Therefore, it is necessary to develop survey models which can be commonly used to compare with different circumstances. The purpose of this report is to provide examples of survey models which are used to measure farming performances in Korea. Those are (1) Diagnosis and analysis on farming technique, labor utilization and farm income, (2) Management performance analysis, (3) Planning for farming, (4) Survey on the nutritional status of farming, (5) Survey on rural village status and planning regional agricultural development.

  • The purpose of this paper is to decide priorities of policy-objectives and support measures related to the $6^{th}$ industrialization of agriculture, and prepare policy-objectives and alternatives to contribute to maintaining and promoting the community through creation of more jobs and added value. We used the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to reflect the experts' opinions about objectives, means and priorities of the $6^{th}$ industrialization of agriculture. The important objectives of the 6th industrialization of agriculture were to create jobs, to increase added values, and to maintain and activate the community. The results showed that the most important objectives for the $6^{th}$ industrialization of agriculture were maintaining and activating the community, expanding added values and creating employment in order. Policy means to achieve these objectives were financial support, human resource training & consulting, research & development, and marketing. The decision-makers determined marketing as the most important among the policy means to achieve the objectives of the $6^{th}$ industrialization.

  • Korea has experienced a remarkable economic achievement since the 1960s. However, behind this facade of growth and progress, a chronic housing shortage in the capital region, declining owner-occupation, rising housing costs, and polarization in housing conditions between the better-off and the worse-off clearly illustrate the impasse and crisis in housing that Korea now faces. In addition, the IMF crisis and the late global financial crisis shocked the Korean housing market. The Korean government has made significant policy changes to improve housing security for less-privileged groups. In order to achieve housing policy development, the Korean government has tried to employ of advanced countries. What are the benefits(merits) and dangers(demerits) of housing policy transfer between countries? This paper emphasizes that we must recognize about 'differences' rather than 'commonalities' between countries with respect to policy transfer. It also maintains that the government should play a main role as an enabler rather as a provider of 'low-cost' housing.

  • In Nigeria, Igbemo-Ekiti is synonymous with a popular local rice which, nevertheless, is characterized with contaminations. Efforts of Government through the Agricultural Development Project (ADP) to improve rice quality in the state, have failed to yield the desired results. This study, therefore, reports the peculiar factors influencing the processing of rice in Igbemo-a major local producing town in Ekiti State, Nigeria. 72 respondents were interviewed, which was a census of the rice processors in 21 residential quarters of the town. Using the multiple linear regression models for analysis, the study discovered that; (i) status of the processors, (ii) expenditure on processing (iii) training acquired before commencing work, and (iv) storage facilities are crucial factors impacting rice processing activities in the town. The paper canvasses for policy measures based on research findings.

  • This study was to provide the basis for the development of family life education programs for caregiving families. The data were collected from 374 adult children who were giving care to their older parents in Seoul. Adult children reported experiencing more caregiving problems in the areas of personlities of older parents psychological burden and parents' health than in the areas of caregiver's health and financial burden Women were more likely to experience caregiving problems than men. Adult children indicated higher levels of perceived knowledge on planning for later life psychological characteristics of older parents and keeping good relationships with older parents. They reported more need for knowledge on physical change of older parents and planning for later life while there were less need for knowledge on sharing caregiving roles with others and social service programs. The needs for caregiving education were also identified in the aspects as to participation purposes methods times and agencies. Given these findings this study suggests some practical implications for the development of family life education programs for caregiving families. Further studies should help to advance the development and practice of family life education programs for caregiving families.

  • Project Financing(PF) was introduced from the way of banks' conditional financing that take buried oil as security and offer required money to oil explores which have weak loaning ability in the U.S. 1930s. After that PF has developed with financial market and it has been activated in the market of Korea since 'An Institution about Private Financing Invitation Promotion' was established. Started with I-Hwa Ryoung tunnel project, PF has been used in the Metropolitan Area Airport Highway and etc. But because of the risk that occurred by PF's complexity and uncertainty, PF has not been used fully and there are only few practical examples. The purpose of the present study is to investigate how to decrease, identify and extract the risky factors of project that being planned by PF.
