  • This paper continues the investigations of implicative semigroups and of their ordered filters which were started in general case by M.W. Chan and K. P. Shum [3]. In particular, the notion of an implicative ordered filter of an implicative semigroup is introduced. We state some equivalent conditions for an ordered filter to be an implicative ordered filter and obtain the so called extension property for implicative ordered filters.

  • In this paper, we formulate the extended Kalman filter for calibration of gimballed inertial navigation system (GINS) at a pure navigation mode with 1500 ft/sec initial velocity and compare its performance to the linear Kalman filter's by using Monte-Carlo analysis method. It has been shown that estimation performance of the extended Kalman filter is better than that of the linear Kalman filter.

  • In conventional perturbation estimators such as disturbance observers(DOB) [1, 2] or time-delayed controllers(TDC) [3{5}, the low pass filter(so-called Q-filter) plays an important role in the stability and performance. However, a general design guideline or analysis for the Q-filter has not been researched yet. In this paper, a guideline for the design of discrete Q-filter is suggested in terms of the analysis of the relationship between the filter parameters and stability performance robustness in discrete-time domain.   • This paper describes the development of a new type of an integrated optical filter using the frequency characteristics of a directly-connected directional coupler with a Rib waveguide. It has been designed for multiplexing and demultiplexing light froups in different wavelength regions. Also, the effects of higher modes, couplings between input waveguides or output waveguides, and dispersion of material are considered.

  • In this paper, we present a new filter to adjust formant information. Spectral envelope in speech analysis shows information about characteristics of speech and formant information determines speech timbre. So, if formant position is adjusted, we can verify adjusted speech timbre. A presented filter is to adjust this formant. This filter is composed of triangular filters. Using this filter we could locate the formant frequency at target position.

  • This paper presents decision feedback equalizers using a recurrent neural network trained algorithm using extended Kalman filter(EKF) and sigma-point Kalman filter(SPKF). EKF is propagated, analytically through the first-order linearization of the nonlinear system. This can introduce large errors in the true posterior mean and covariance of the Gaussian random variable. The SPKF addresses this problem by using a deterministic sampling approach. The features of the proposed recurrent neural equalizer And we investigate the bit error rate(BER) between EKF and SPKF.

  • This paper proposes a new polarization-independent Sagnac birefringence loop structure-based multiwavelength-periodic filter and presents measurements and analysis of its spectrum. The filter can be used in several schemes by adjusting the orientation angles of two quarter waveplates and the operating characteristics in the reflection type are analyzed including dispersion and polarization mode dispersion at each principal axis. This filter has polarization-independent spectra but a polarization-dependent dispersion, consequently polarization mode dispersion whose values changes with operating schemes.

  • In this paper a state reconstruction filter for linear discrete-time stochastic systems with unknown inputs and noises is presented. The suggested filter can estimate the system state vector and the unknown inputs simultaneously As an extension of the filter a fault diagnosis filter for linear discrete-time stochastic systems with unknown inputs and noises is presented for each filters the optimal gain determination methods which minimize the variance of the state reconstruction errorare presented. Finally the usability of the filtersis shown via numerical examples.
