인벌류우트-트로코이드 치형을 갖는 타원계 엽형기어의 최소잇수에 관한 연구 (Minimum Tooth Number of Elliptical Gears with Involute-Trocoidal Profile)

  • This present paper describes a mathematical model of profile shifted elliptical gears, and this model is based on the concepts of envelope theory and conjugate geometry between the blank and the straight-sided rack cutter. The geometric model of the rack cutter includes working regions generating involute curves and fillets for trocoidal curves, and furthermore the addendum modified coeff. is considered for avoiding undercutting. The addendum modified coeff. is changed linearly along with pitch curves and must be the same absolute value at both major semi-axis and minor semi-axis. If undercutting is at all pronounced, the undercut tooth not only are weakened in strength, but lose a small portion of the involute adjacent to the base circle, then this loss of involute may cause a serious reduction in the length of contact. A very effective method of avoiding undercutting is to use the so-called profile shifted gearing. Non-undercutting condition is examined with the change of eccentricity and addendum modified coeff. in elliptical gears and then the minimum number of tooth is proposed not to gernerate undercutting phenomenon.

nT-T/n 단면형상을 갖는 프로펠러 뿌리 필렛의 구조 성능 분석과 설계방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Performance and the Design of Propeller Root Fillet Surfaces having nT-T/n section)

  • The blade root fillets which have strong influences on the performance of propellers in the both structural and hydrodynamic points of view, are mechanical parts for smooth connection surface with a blade and a hub. A few related researches (Sabol, 1983; Kennedy, 1997) have noted that 3T-T/3 double radius section design would be suitable for reducing Stress Concentration Factor(SCF) and increasing Cavitation Inception Speed(CIS). In this paper, it is confirmed that this compound cross-section design has come close to the optimum solution in the shape optimization standpoint so that it could protect the propeller blade under the frequent and various loading cases. On that basis, we suggest the definite and simple fillet design methodology that has the cross-section with nT-T/n compound radius and elliptic shape which could sustain the given derivatives information as well as the offsets at the boundary and all inner region of the fillet surface. In addition, the result of design is presented in form of IGES file format in order to connect with NC machine seamlessly.

최대경사방향 트리를 이용한 삼각형요소화 곡면모델의 NC 엔드밀링가공에 관한 연구 (NC End Milling Strategy of Triangulation-Based Curved Surface Model Using Steepest Directed Tree)

  • A novel and efficient cutter path planning method for machining intricately shaped curved surfaces, called the steepest directed tree method, is presented. The curved surface is defined by triangular facets, the density and structure of which are determined by the intricacy and form accuracy of the surface. Geometrical form definition and recognition of the topological features are used to connect the nodes of the triangulated surface meshes for the successive and interconnected steepest pathways, which makes good use of end milling characteristics. The planetary cutter centers are determined to locate along smoothly changing paths and then the height values of the cutter are adjusted to avoid surface interference. Several machined examples of intersecting and intricate surfaces are presented to illustrate the benefits of the new approach. It is shown that due to more consistent geometry matching between cutter and surface(in comparison with the current CC Cartesian method) surface finish can be typically improved. Moreover, the material in concave fillets which is difficult to be removed by ball mills can be removed efficiently. The built-in positioning of cutter to avoid interference runs minutely in the sharp and discontinuous regions. The steepest upward movement of the cutter gives a stable dynamic cutting state and allows increase in the feedrate and spindle speed while remaining the stable cutting state.

Experimental study on seismic performance of partial penetration welded steel beam-column connections with different fillet radii

  • Full penetration welded steel moment-resisting frame (SMRF) structures with welded box sections are widely employed in steel bridges, where a large number of steel bridges have been in operation for over fifty years in Japan. Welding defects such as incomplete penetration at the beam-column connections of these existing SMRF steel bridge piers were observed during inspection. Previous experiments conducted by the authors' team indicate that gusset stiffeners (termed fillets in this study) at the beam-web-to-column-web joint of the beam-column connections may play an important role on the seismic performance of the connections. This paper aims to experimentally study the effect of the fillet radius on seismic performance of the connections with large welding defects. Four specimens with different sizes of fillet radii were loaded under quasi-static incremental cyclic loading, where different load-displacement relations and cracking behaviors were observed. The experimental results show that, as the size of the fillet radius increases, the seismic performance of the connections can be greatly improved.

The effects of traditional frying method on proximate composition and energetic values of fish species from Karachi coast of Pakistan

  • The effect of pan frying method was evaluated for proximate composition of selected fish species Pampus argenteus, Lethrinus nebulosus and Acanthopagarus arabicus which were determined by standard procedures. Proximate compositions found in the frying fillets were different to the raw fish samples. The moisture content seems to decrease in all fried samples. The reason of moisture loss at the time of frying produced is excessive protein amount in fried fish as compare to raw fish. Protein content seemed to increase in Pampus argentus > Lethrinus nebulosus and >Acanthopagrus arabicus in their particular fried form. The outcomes shown that protein content was in the ranges of 14.83-25.07 g/100g in fried samples, while the fat content was between 3.76-9.77 g/100 g. The energy content was the highest in the fried fish Lethrinus nebulosus (236 kcal/100 g), Pampus argentus (161 kcal/100 g) and Acanthopagrus arabicus (135 kcal/100 g). The information achieved in this study would be very important to fish consumers, processors and nutritionists to academically increase their awareness regarding the nutrients contents in selected fish species.

Effects of Gaseous Ozone Exposure on Bacterial Counts and Oxidative Properties in Chicken and Duck Breast Meat

  • The effects of gaseous ozone exposure on the bacterial counts and oxidative properties were evaluated in duck and chicken breast fillets, which were stored under a continuous flux of gaseous ozone (10×10−6 kg O3/m3/h) at 4±1℃ for 4 d. The ozone generator was set to on for 15 min and off for 105 min, and this cyclic timer was set during storage. Ozone effectively reduced the growth of coliform, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in both chicken and duck breast. However, lipid oxidation occurred faster in duck breast than chicken breast with higher degree of discoloration, TBARS value, and antioxidant enzyme (glutathione peroxidase and catalase) activity decline rates. It is concluded that ozone effectively controlled the growth of bacteria in both chicken and duck breast with less effects on oxidative deterioration in chicken breast.

  • 시판(市販)되고 있는 쥐치포의 미생물(微生物) 오염도(汚染度)를 조사(調査)하고 流通中(유통중) 衛生管理(위생관리)에 필요(必要)한 기초자료(基礎資料)를 얻고자 3회(回)에 걸쳐 수집한 후 오염지표균(汚染指標菌) 및 유해세균(有害細菌)의 존재(存在)를 검사(檢査)하고 microflora를 조사(調査)한 결과(結果) 호기성(好氣性) 중온균(中溫菌), 일반대장균군(一般大腸菌群), 분별성 대장균군(大腸菌群), Enterobacteriaceae 및 분변성 Streptococci의 오염도(汚染度)가 각각(各各) $3.5{\times}10^3{\sim}1.1{\times}10^8CFU/g$, $2.3{\sim}4.6{\times}10^5MPN/g$, $2.3{\sim}1.1{\times}10^5MPN/g$, $3.0{\times}10{\sim}4.4{\times}10^5CFU/g$$1.6{\times}10^2{\sim}7.6{\times}10^6CFU/g$이었다. microflora에 있어서는 호기성(好氣性) 중온균(中溫菌)의 경우 Staphylococcus hominis, Staphylococcus hemolyticus, Micrococcus varians, M. luteus 및 Streptococcus cremoris가, Enterobacteriaceae의 경우 E. coli와 Proteus rettgeri, 분변성 Streptococci는 Sc. faecium과 S. avium이 구성 미생물(微生物)이었다.

중합인산염의 항균효과에 관한 연구 (Bacteriostatic Effect of Condensed Phosphate on the Growth of Bacteria)

  • 수산물 가공에 있어서 품질개량제로 널리 사용되고 있는 sodium polyphosphate, sodium pyrophosphate, 및 polymixer가 위생지표세균 및 식중독 원인세균등 여러세균의 생리, 생육에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 중합인산염의 항균력은 Escherichia colisk Salmonella와 같은 Gram음성 균에 비하여 Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus 및 Bacillus subtilis와 같은 Gram양성균에서 강하게 나타났다. 2. 중합인산염으로 처리 하였을 때 Gram양성균인 Staphylococcus aureus에서는 균체성분의 누출이 확인 되었으나 Gram음성균인 Escherichia coli에서는 균체성분의 누출을 확인할 수 없었다. 3. Sodium polyphosphate $3.5\%$ 용액에 침지한 냉동 명태 fillet는 대조구 보다 대장균군은 $39\~72\%$, 생균수는 $27\~50\%$ 감소 되었으며, 중합인산염 처리는 균의 동결 저항성을 약화 시키는 것으로 나타났다.

일방향 복합재료 Single Lap접합 조인트의 파손 모드 및 강도 I. 실험 (Failure Mode and Strength of Unidirectional Composite Single Lap Bonded Joints I. Experiments)

  • 본 연구에서는 몇 가지 접합 방법에 따라 일방향 복합재료 단일 겹치기 접합 조인트의 파손 과정, 모드 및 강도를 실험적으로 평가하였다 접합 방법으로는 접착제 없는 동시성형, 접착제를 사용한 동시성형 및 이차 접합의 세 가지를 고려하였다 또한 이차 접합 조인트에서 몇 가지 파라미터의 영향도 살펴보았다. 접착제 없는 동시성형 시편은 가장 우수한 조인트 강도를 나타내었다. 이차접합 조인트에서는 접착제 층의 점진적인 파손이 발생하였다. 접착제의 재료 및 접합 강도가 상대적으로 강한 필름 접착제의 동시성형 조인트는 갑작스런 층간분리 파손이 발생하였으며 이차 접합 조인트보다 더 낮은 파손 강도를 나타내었다. 이차 집합 조인트에서 층간분리 파손이 발생하지 않은 것은 접착제 층에서의 균열 진전 및 점진적 파손이 층간분리 파손을 방지한 것으로 보인다. 따라서 복합재료 접합 조인트의 파손 강도는 접착제의 재료 강도 또는 접착 성능과 항상 비례하지 않으며 이것은 복합재료가 층간 분리 파손에 약하기 때문이다.
