A Study on the Preservation Policy for Maintaining the Integrity of Digital Contents (디지털 콘텐츠의 무결성 유지를 위한 장기적인 보존 정책에 관한 연구)

  • Assuring that the integrity of digital contents is reliably maintained is an important component of long-term digital preservation. The purpose of this study was to examine and analysis the best practices of digital preservation policy and provide the basis theory for establishing a preservation policy for maintaining the integrity of digital contents. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we examined the digital archiving practices for maintaining the integrity of digital contents. Especially, we focused on the storage media and file formats, the media and format conversion, disaster prevention and recovery, management and handling, inspection and monitoring, and security policies.

  • Paperless 회의 및 행정에 대한 요구가 제기되면서 ISO 14001과 같은 표준들의 제안과 함께 이 요구에 대한 많은 연구와 구현이 제안되고 있다. 최근에는 다양한 플랫폼의 스마트 기기들의 보급이 확산됨에 따라 이 기기들의 플랫폼에 맞는 전자문서서식시스템의 요구도 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제시된 여러 연구들의 효율성 검토 결과를 기반으로 사용자 중심의 전자문서 공유 및 관리 기능을 제공하는 미들웨어의 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 미들웨어는 Content Adaptation, 즉 File Format 및 Size Converting, 스마트기기내에서의 전자서식문서 보안 처리기능, 데이터 관리기능을 포함하는 PDF Viewer를 제공하며 최근 표준화 적용이 진행 중인 HTML5를 기반으로 하여 호환성과 적용성을 높였다. 제안된 구조와 구현방식에 대한 검증을 위해 구현 사례를 본 논문에서 제시하였다.

A Study on Open API of Securities and Investment Companies in Korea for Activating Big Data

  • Big data was associated with three key concepts, volume, variety, and velocity. Securities and investment services produce and store a large data of text/numbers. They have also the most data per company on the average in the US. Gartner found that the demand for big data in finance was 25%, which was the highest. Therefore securities and investment companies produce the largest data such as text/numbers, and have the highest demand. And insurance companies and credit card companies are using big data more actively than banking companies in Korea. Researches on the use of big data in securities and investment companies have been found to be insignificant. We surveyed 22 major securities and investment companies in Korea for activating big data. We can see they actively use AI for investment recommend. As for big data of securities and investment companies, we studied open API. Of the major 22 securities and investment companies, only six securities and investment companies are offering open APIs. The user OS is 100% Windows, and the language used is mainly VB, C#, MFC, and Excel provided by Windows. There is a difficulty in real-time analysis and decision making since developers cannot receive data directly using Hadoop, the big data platform. Development manuals are mainly provided on the Web, and only three companies provide as files. The development documentation for the file format is more convenient than web type. In order to activate big data in the securities and investment fields, we found that they should support Linux, and Java, Python, easy-to-view development manuals, videos such as YouTube.

  • In the EPC(Engineering Procurement and Construction) project of the plant, procurement engineering has a profound effect on the profitability of the project. It is important that the procurement specifications are well written to ensure that procurement engineering works properly. In the meantime, the procurement specifications have been created by the experience of the person in charge because there was no system for helping procurement engineering. To cope with this situation, we are developing a procurement engineering management support system (PeMSS). This paper describes how to implement a knowledge-based service in the procurement engineering management support system. First, we briefly introduce the PeMSS, the knowledge base application field, and how to apply it. The parts that requires knowledge-based service are parsing the requirements in the PDF (Portable Document Format) file and management of the document provided by the supplier of the equipment.

  • Composing music is an inspired yet challenging task, in that the process involves many considerations such as assigning pitches, determining rhythm, and arranging accompaniment. Algorithmic composition aims to develop algorithms for music composition. Recently, algorithmic composition using artificial intelligence technologies received considerable attention. In particular, computational intelligence is widely used and achieves promising results in the creation of music. This paper attempts to provide a survey on the music generation based on the Monte Carlo (MC) algorithm. First, transform the MIDI music format files to digital data. Among these data, use the logistic fitting method to fit the time series, obtain the time distribution regular pattern. Except for time series, the converted data also includes duration, pitch, and velocity. Second, using MC simulation to deal with them summed up their distribution law respectively. The two main control parameters are the value of discrete sampling and standard deviation. Processing the above parameters and converting the data to MIDI file, then compared with the output generated by LSTM neural network, evaluate the music comprehensively.

MGGC2.0: A preprocessing code for the multi-group cross section of the fast reactor with ultrafine group library

  • How to generate the precise broad group cross section is important for the fast reactor design. In this study, a fast reactor multi-group cross-section generation code MGGC2.0 are developed in-house for processing ultrafine group MATXS format library. Validation and verification are performed for MGGC2.0 code by applying the benchmarks of ICSBEP handbook, and the results of MGGC2.0 agree well with that of MCNP. The consistent PN method with critical buckling search is in good agreement that condensed with TWODANT flux and flux moment for the inner core and outer core region. For the radial blanket and reflector, two region approximation method has been applied in MGGC2.0 by using collision Probability Method neutron flux solver. The RBEC-M benchmark was used to verify the power distribution calculation, and the relative error of power distribution comparison with the reference are less than 0.8% in the fuel region and the maximum relative error is 5.58% in the reflector region. Therefore, the precise broad cross section can be generated by MGGC2.0 for fast reactor.

  • HEIF (High Efficiency File Format)는 MPEG에서 개발된 이미지 포맷으로써, 비디오 코덱인 H.265를 활용하여 정지된 화면을 하나의 이미지 형태로 저장할 수 있도록 개발된 컨테이너이다. 아이폰은 2017년부터 HEIF를 사용하고 있으며, 2019년부터는 갤럭시 S10과 같은 안드로이드 기기도 해당 포맷을 지원하고 있다. 이 포맷은 우수한 압축률을 가지도록 이미지를 제공할 수 있으나, 복잡한 내부 구조를 가지고 있으며 기기나 소프트웨어 간 호환성이 현저하게 부족하여 일반적으로 사용되는 JPEG(또는 JPG) 파일을 대체하기에는 아직 대중적이지 못한 상황이다. 하지만 이미 많은 기기에서 HEIF를 사용하고 있음에도 불구하고 디지털 포렌식 연구는 부족한 상황이다. 이는 디지털 포렌식 조사 과정에서 파일 내부에 포함된 정보의 파악이 미흡하여 잠재적인 증거를 놓칠 수 있는 위험에 노출될 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 아이폰에서 촬영된 HEIF 형식의 사진 파일과 갤럭시에서 촬영된 모션 포토 파일을 분석하여 파일 내부에 포함된 정보와 특징들을 알아본다. 또한 이미지 뷰어기능을 지원하는 소프트웨어를 대상으로 HEIF에 대한 지원 여부를 조사하고 HEIF 뷰어를 분석하는 포렌식 도구의 요구사항을 제시한다.

Spatial domain-based encapsulation scheme (공간 도메인 기반 캡슐화 방안)

  • 포인트 클라우드 데이터는 자율 주행 기술, 가상 현실 및 증강 현실에서 사용될 3차원 미디어 중 하나로 각광 받고 있다. 국제 표준화 기구인 MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group)에서는 포인트 클라우드 데이터의 효율적인 압축을 위해 G-PCC(Geometry-based Point Cloud Compression) 및 V-PCC(Video-based Point Cloud Compression)의 표준화를 진행 중에 있다. 그 중, G-PCC는 본래 단일 프레임의 압축을 수행하는 정지 영상 압축 방식이지만, LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging) 센서를 통해 획득된 동적 포인트 클라우드 프레임에 대한 압축의 필요성이 대두됨에 따라 G-PCC 그룹에서는 Inter-EM(Exploratory Model)을 신설하여 LiDAR 포인트 클라우드 프레임의 압축에 관한 연구를 시작하였다. Inter-EM의 압축 비트스트림은 G-PCC 비트스트림과 마찬가지로 효과적인 전송 및 소비를 위해 미디어 저장 포맷인 ISOBMFF(ISO-based Media File Format)으로 캡슐화될 수 있다. 이때, 포인트 클라우드 프레임들은 자율 주행 등의 서비스에 사용하기 위해 시간 도메인뿐만 아니라 공간 도메인을 기반으로도 소비될 수 있어야 하지만, 공간 도메인을 기반으로 콘텐츠를 임의 접근하여 소비하는 방식은 기존 2D 영상의 시간 도메인 기반 소비방식과 차이로 인해 기존에 논의된 G-PCC 캡슐화 방안만으로는 지원이 제한된다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 G-PCC 콘텐츠를 공간 도메인에 따라 소비하기 위한 ISOBMFF 캡슐화 방안에 대한 파일 포맷을 제안하고자 한다.

Using Google Earth for a Dynamic Display of Future Climate Change and Its Potential Impacts in the Korean Peninsula (한반도 기후변화의 시각적 표현을 위한 Google Earth 활용)

  • Google Earth enables people to easily find information linked to geographical locations. Google Earth consists of a collection of zoomable satellite images laid over a 3-D Earth model and any geographically referenced information can be uploaded to the Web and then downloaded directly into Google Earth. This can be achieved by encoding in Google's open file format, KML (Keyhole Markup Language), where it is visible as a new layer superimposed on the satellite images. We used KML to create and share fine resolution gridded temperature data projected to 3 climatological normal years between 2011-2100 to visualize the site-specific warming and the resultant earlier blooming of spring flowers over the Korean Peninsula. Gridded temperature and phonology data were initially prepared in ArcGIS GRID format and converted to image files (.png), which can be loaded as new layers on Google Earth. We used a high resolution LCD monitor with a 2,560 by 1,600 resolution driven by a dual link DVI card to facilitate visual effects during the demonstration.

A Level-set Parameterization for Any 3D Complex Interface Related to a Fire Spread in Building Structures (복잡한 CAD 형상의 매개변수화를 통한 3차원 경계면 레벨-셋 알고리즘 개발 및 적용)

  • To define an interface in a conventional level-set method, an analytical function must be revealed for an interfacial geometry. However, it is not always possible to define a functional form of level sets when interfaces become complex in a Cartesian coordinate system. To overcome this difficulty, we have developed a new level-set formalism that discriminates the interior from the exterior of a CAD modeled interface by parameterizing the stereolithography (STL) file format. The work outlined here confirms the accuracy and scalability of the hydrodynamic reactive solver that utilizes the new level set concept through a series of tests. In particular, the complex interaction between shock and geometrical confinements towards deflagration-to-detonation transition is numerically investigated. Also, a process of flame spreading and damages caused by point source detonation in a real-sized plant facility have been simulated to confirm the validity of the new method built for reactive hydrodynamic simulation in any complex three-dimensional geometries.
