This study investigates how the relational benefits of fashion retail stores influence the relationship quality (trust, satisfaction, and commitment) and CRM effects (revisit intention and word of mouth intention). This study also analyzes the moderating effect of consumer characteristics between relational benefits and relationship quality. The subjects of this study consisted of 340 female consumers whose age ranged from 20 to 50s and the results were analyzed using AMOS 18.0 and SPSS 12.0. The results of the study were as follows: First, there were three types of relational benefits of psychological, social and economic relational benefits in the CRM activities of fashion retail stores. In addition, it was found that the psychological and economic relational benefits had positive effects on the relational qualities of fashion retail stores; however, the social relational benefits did not have any effects on the relational qualities of fashion retail stores. Second, the relationship quality had a positive influence on CRM effects such as revisit intention and word of mouth intention. Third, it was confirmed that the consumer characteristics variables were effective mediators linking the relational benefits and relational qualities of fashion retail stores.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between weight of fabrics and texture and sensibility and preference of consumers for F/W women's jacket fabrics. Structural Equation Model(SEM) using AMOS program was conducted to analyze the relationships. Then, this study aimed to provide useful information in planning designing fabrics through predicting the subjective characteristics analyzed. The main survey was developed the 7-point semantic differential scale of subjective texture, sensibility and preference. Fifty trained female panelists of 20-30 years old were participated and questionnaire method was used with 20 kind of fabric. The evaluation methods such as by the sense of sight & touch were used when fabrics were estimated subjectively. When evaluated by the sense of sight & touch, fabric's weight did not have effect directly on preference, but had effect indirectly on preference through the texture and the sensibility..

The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of big data-based fashion shopping (BDFS) application, perceived usefulness, and expectation confirmation that influence the continuous usage intention of BDFS application users based on the expectation-confirmation model. A survey was conducted with female consumers in their 20s, who are living in Seoul and Incheon area and have used BDFS applications, A total of 182 responses were used for the data analysis. Five hypotheses were proposed, and regression analyses were conducted to test those hypotheses. The results indicated that the users' perceived usefulness increased with the increase of accuracy and personalization characteristics of the app and the expectation confirmation. The result suggested that it is essential to provide accurate information for users to feel useful and to develop the personalized offerings and services which can be the biggest strength of the big-data based mobile fashion store. It was also found that continuous usage intention increases with increased perceived usefulness and expectation confirmation. This result suggests that expectations can play a critical role in perceiving the usefulness of BDFS applications and the user's expectation confirmation also significantly affected the users' continuous usage intention.

This study examines the effect of influencer characteristics (attractiveness, reliability, expertise, and intimacy) and consumer need satisfaction (autonomy, relatedness, and competence) on attachment to influencer, content flow, and purchase intention. The moderating effect of gender was also investigated. Survey data collected from 515 male and female Instagram users were submitted for analysis. The research findings are as follows. First, the reliability and intimacy of influencers had a positive effect on attachment to influencers whereas attractiveness and intimacy had positive effects on content flow. Second, the relatedness and competence that consumers felt during the use of influencer content had a positive effect on attachment to influencers whereas the autonomy had a positive effect on content flow. Third, the attachment to influencers increased the intention to purchase products introduced by influencers via content flow. Fourth, there were some gender differences in the relationships of attachment to influencer, content flow, and purchase intention. Implications were suggested based on the results.
Purpose - "Showrooming" refers to the phenomenon where a shopper visits a store to see and compare products but makes the purchase online at a lower price. Surveys on showrooming activities at home and abroad indicate that a significant number of consumers pursue showrooming activities. The advent of "showroomers," who engage in buying activities, hovering both on and offline, while selectively choosing sales channels to suit their needs, is powerful enough to erode the borders between channels and bring about seismic changes in the distribution industry. However, surprisingly, there has been no in-depth discussion on showrooming. This study seeks to theoretically investigate what impact personal characteristics have on showrooming preferences and attitudes in a multi-channel environment. Specifically, assumptions have been made that price perception, perceived performance risk, and trust in online shopping not only have a direct impact on showrooming attitudes but also indirectly affect it through the means of contact motivation. Research design, data, and methodology - To test the hypotheses, this study conducted a survey of male and female shoppers, ages 20 through 40s, who live in metropolitan areas, and have actively showroomed fashion items in the last six months. A clothing item usually purchased after a careful decision-making process was chosen as the target product of the study. The survey was conducted between October and November 2014, using a professional survey service provider. A total of 200 surveys were collected, of which 198 were used for analysis. Conceptual model Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Amos 18.0 were employed for data analysis and model verification. In addition, following the confirmatory factor analysis and measurement model analysis, the theoretical model that corresponds to the research model was analyzed. Results - Analysis results show that price perception, perceived performance risk, and trust in online shopping have a statistically significant and positive (+) impact on showrooming attitudes. In addition, in terms of the indirect influence of price perception and perceived performance risk on showrooming attitudes through means of contact motivation, price perception had a statistically significant and positive impact on means of contact motivation, whereas perceived performance risk did not have a statistically significant impact on it, with the relevant hypothesis rejected. Conclusions - These analysis results imply that the ultimate goal of consumers is to maximize their shopping benefits by selectively and strategically taking advantage of different channels in a complementary manner. This study presents many implications for distributors to encourage a deep understanding of showrooming consumers who have complicated consumption behaviors and to build channel integration strategies. This study has limitations in theoretical and practical implications. Therefore, subsequent studies need to focus on verifying that showrooming activities are based on reasonable and planned decisions by applying the theory of reasoned or planned behavior. In addition, the scope of the study should expand to include web showrooming, where consumers conduct product research online and purchase offline.

This study compares fashion leaders and market mavens by examining the demographic characteristics of fashion leaders and market mavens and how they differ in their evaluation of store and shopping related attributes. Data originated from a national consumer mail survey in the United States. The survey included items measuring market mavenism, fashion leadership, store evaluative attributes, and personal information. Responses from 380 consumers were used for data analysis. Female consumers were found to be more active in word-of-mouth activities in general. Young consumers were more inclined to express fashion leadership while age was not related to market mavenism. A lower level of education increased tendencies for both market mavenism and fashion leadership. In terms of store evaluative criteria, the majority of items in the survey were more important as fashion leadership and market mavenism tendencies increased. Interestingly, the need for knowledgeable or helpful salespeople did not increase with fashion leadership tendencies. Also, fashion leaders were interested in easy return of merchandise and were likely to spend more time in the stores. This study sheds important light on how fashion leadership differ compared to market mavenism. By simultaneously examining fashion leadership and market mavenism using a strong sample base, this study provides sound evidence of how consumers interested in fashion may have differing needs for shopping.
