  • Stress and fatigue are general physical aspects of our daily lives. It has been shown that physical therapists have different levels of job stress and fatigue according to the type A/B behavior patterns. This study collected data from 212 physical therapists between October 28 and November 23, 2016 using an anonymous, self-administered questionnaire. The study results showed the proportion of physical therapists with the Type A behavior patterns(TABP) was 18% greater than that of physical therapists with the Type B behavior patterns(TBBP). In this study, physical therapists with TABP were compared with physical therapists with TBBP. The results indicated that physical therapists with TABP were more inclined to experience higher levels of overall job stress and fatigue from the following stress factors: physical environment, job requirement, and job autonomy. Therefore, the stronger the tendency toward TABP, the stronger the feeling of job stress and fatigue from physical environment, job requirement, and job autonomy. Those with a tendency toward TBBP showed positive correlations between job requirement and the total job stress score; thus, the stronger the tendency toward TBBP, the stronger the feeling of overall job stress and fatigue from job requirement. This study suggests that it is necessary to manage the job stress and fatigue of physical therapists with both TABP and TBBP and to manage the job stress and fatigue of physical therapists with the type A behavioral pattern.

  • The aim of this study was to identify the components of customer-based fashion brand equity which was built from customers´perception to equity. As a method, both literature review and empirical research were made. This study performed in three stages from May to November in 2001. In the exploratory step. focus-group interview was conducted 5 times for gathering responses related to fashion brand equity, and free association test of 17 respondents was additionally conducted. In pilot study, 40 university students were surveyed and the data were analyzed in order to identify the components of fashion brand equity and to develop questionnaire. In the main research, 905 university students evaluated fashion brand equity in order to analyze the components of fashion brand equity in customers´perception. Statistical analyses were performed with SAS program using factor analysis, cronbach´α, frequency, and mean. The results of this study was as fellows. First, fashion brand equity was defined in terms of four components; customer-brand resonance, brand imagery/customer feeling, brand performance/customer judgment and brand awareness. Second, fashion brand equity was multi-dimensional brand attitude, which could be measured by 29 variables that were different from uni-dimensional evaluation of previous studies.

  • People are always pursuing the aesthetic feeling relentlessly. But some people have such problems with their hairs like alopecia, cancer chemotherapy, burns, and scalp injury. So the synthetic hair has played a very important role to make up for these deficiencies. But long term use can lead to adverse reactions or uncomfortable feeling. This is primarily caused by its properties differ with human hair. In particular, nanotribological characterizations (roughness, friction force and adhesive force) of synthetic hair surface are dissatisfy with the needs of normal hairs. This paper presents the experiments on nanotribological characterizations measurements of human hairs (coloring hair, permed hair and common hair) in shampooing condition or without shampooing condition. Using atomic force microscopy (AFM) to find out a range of synthetic hair nanotribological characterizations which can correspond with natural hair. The measurements of nanotribological characterizations focus on surface roughness, friction force and adhesive force, and a new design of AFM probe was used for measuring the nanotribological characterizations.

  • This paper investigates the ways for estimation ability improvement in length, which is recently emphasized in measurement area of mathematics education. According to preceding studies, students' length estimation ability is considerably low. Revision curriculum tried to pursue estimation and feeling of massiveness responsive to trends in mathematics education. But, Such efforts are not reflected in textbooks and they are rather weak in the aspect of estimation and feeling of massiveness. This paper analyzes the contents related to length estimation in current textbooks critically and explores an alternatives. This paper is suggestive for textbook development to improve ability to estimate length.

  • Purpose: This study explored the adjustment experiences of spouses of elderly people with dementia in Korea. Methods: A grounded theory method was used. The data were collected by individual in-depth interviews with 11 spouses of elderly people with dementia. Results: In the analysis, 17 categories were derived. A core category emerged: Adjusting to daily life of providing love-based care. Eight major strategies for dealing with the psychosocial problems faced by spouses of elderly people with dementia: Feeling one's own responsibility in caring; halting personal activities; adopting a spouse-oriented daily lifestyle; caring with love; efforts for maintaining one's own health; efforts for maintaining spouse's health; depending on religious belief; and trying to have time for oneself. The consequences that resulted from applying these strategies were identified as "feeling worthwhile for caring," "maintaining a peaceful life," and "being grateful of the present." Conclusions: This study presents a holistic view of the adjustment experiences of spouses of elderly people with dementia. This study can also provide directions for developing interventions for enhancing the quality of life of spouses of elderly people with dementia.

  • This ethnographic case-study explores the interpretation and behavior in job considering among full-time housewives. The participants of this study are eleven middle class full-time housewives in their thirties and forties. In-depth interviews based on an unstructured Questionnaire were conducted for this study. Findings are as follows: Six full-time housewives tend to think their full-time housewife-lives more convenient, something unable to substitute and more profitable compared to the counter partner's lives. But they are classified into two groups according to the satisfaction for full-time housewife life. One group has found out more positive meaning in their life but the other group has not yet and they are doubtful about real life and other opportunity. In Contrast, other five full-time housewives tend to interpret employment as a more productive source to secure family resource for their children's education and repay the loan used to buy larger apartment. And the job is considered to confirm her own individuality and the feeling for the social entity as a competent social entity. But two of them who have never been employed do not try to get a job as a new identity alternative. And the various elements like household income, job experience, health, children's age and husband's attitude to his wife's employment etc. are defined to influence the interpretation and the job considering behavior among full-time housewives.

  • This research was focused on the changes of layered techniques in Hussein Chalayan's collections. For this purpose, the layered techniques in 134 works from Chalayan's collections, 97S/S to 06S/S, which were obtained from fashion magazines and fashion internet site, were analyzed and classified into 15 groups. Layered techniques in his works apparently expressed his philosophy about deconstruction. Multilayered feeling was given through using various techniques such as one layer clothing which was showed like multi-layered clothing. Others were multi-layer clothing which felt like one layer, breaking the stereotyped line of clothing into atypical construction and using various materials or constructive lines which made the optical feeling like one layer or multi-layer clothing, and so on. These layered techniques in Chalayan's collections were differentiated into several categories, such as techniques which were revealed in every collections, techniques which were differentiated from one another collections, techniques which were continuously showed through three collections for connection with each collection, techniques which were used only for Spring/Summer season, and techniques which were uniquely showed in early collection or recent collections.

  • We measured change of peripheral skin temperature and mean skin temperature when the upper arm and thigh are pressured in order to know the effect of skin pressure applied by clothing on blood circulation. After release from pressure, we observed also recovery condition. At the same time, we examined relation between pressure and a feeling of thightness. Three physiques of healthy females, namely slender, standard and plump, served as subjects. We used continuous restraint method with skin pressure applied by experimental fabric for 10 min. As a result of this experiment, we obtained following findings. 1. The significant difference was marked at the pressure, measuring time and physique with change of skin temperature under upper arm restraint. The peripheral and mean skin temperature decreased with the lapse of restraint time. A remarkable tendency observed according to the increase of restraint pressure. Recovery condition after release from pressure not yet recovered to original state, for all after a lapse of 10 min. 2. The significant difference was marked at the pressure, measuring time and physique with change of skin temperature under thigh restraint, especially different physique was remarkable among them. The peripheral skin temperature decreased or decreased. Recovery condition after release from pressure was the same upper arm. 3. Main factor affecting the evaluation of a feeling of tightness was restraint pressure. The value of pressure sensation made remarkable declined after a lapse of 10 min restraint time. Individual differences, however, were shown in pressure sensation.

  • In the previous paper, we already discussed about the factor effected upon the initial maximum value of heat flux ($q_{max}$). Thermal conductivity, thermal transmittance and surface air cavity of wool fabrics were examind and their correlation to the $q_{max}$ was also studied In this study, the other factor was examined which had on effect upon the qmaf of an objective measure of warm/cool feeling. It was studied that the qmax correlated to the surface sturucture parameters (compression, friction, smoothness, roughness, thickness and weight). It was concerned to the degree of warm/cool feeling when we touched hand on fabrics. We selected twenty sorts of pure wool woven fabrics for men's fall-winter cloth (all Wool). The conclusions are as follow; 1. There was a good correlation between the $q_{max}$ and the compression property. 2. The surface structure parameters, smoothness and roughness, made various effects on the $q_{max}$, when the samples touched on a thin copper plate. So, there was not a certain correla-tion to the $q_{max}$.
