액체 크로마토그래피에 의한 메틸프룩토시드의 분리공정 연구 (A Study on the Purification Process of Methyl Fructoside by Liquid Chromatography)

  • 효소적으로 합성된 메틸프룩토시드(methyl fruc­t to side )와 당의 혼합물로부터 Amberlite IRA -900 을 고정상 담체로 하여 당과 배당체를 액체 크로마 토그래피법으로 정밀 분리함으로써 메틸프룩토시드 를 출발물질로 하는 새로운 sugar ester의 합성 공 정이 연구개발되도록 하고, 액체 크로마토그래피법 에 의한 알킬배당체의 정밀 분리기술이 실용화될 수 있도록 최적조업조건과 해상도 빛 생산성을 검토하였다. Amberlite IRA-900을 고정상 담체로 한 메틸프 룩토시드의 정밀분리공정은 이론단수의 개념에 근거 한 선형 크로마토그래피 모델로 모사할 수 있었으며 에틸프룩토시드와 자당의 용출 크로마토그램을 잘 예측할 수 있었다. 급액농도가 각각 3g/L와 5g/L 인 메틸프룩토시드와 자당의 수용액으로부터 메틸프 룩토시드를 정밀분리하기 위해서는 급액을 $60^{\circ}C$에서 충전체적의 75%까지 주입하고공탑유속 1.13cm/mm의 중류수로 용출시킬 때 해상도 1.1에서 95% 이상의 회수율과 7mg MF/g-resin/h의 생산성을 얻었다.

파일롯 규모 전기투석 막여과 시스템을 이용한 비소와 망간오염 지하수 처리 (Application of a Pilot-Scale Electrodialysis System for Groundwater Polluted with Arsenic and Manganese)

  • A pilot-scale electrodialysis system was designed and constructed to treat groundwater polluted with arsenic and manganese. Synthetic groundwater, in which some amount of arsenic and manganese was added to make 500 mg/L of Mn and $50{\mu}g/L$ of As, was used as a feed for the ED system. The limiting current density, linear water velocity, applied voltage, and membrane surface area were investigated to obtain efficient and economic operation of the ED system. The linear water velocity was increased 0.74 cm/s to 11 cm/s based on evaluation of limiting current density. The water quality of diluate for 85 minutes of operation was satisfied with water quality criteria for drinking water using the ED system with 14 pairs of ion exchange membranes. The increased membrane pairs to 21 and 42 pairs were very effective to reduce conductivities of the diluate. The operation cost of the ED system was assessed using specific energy consumption, which was $1.065{\sim}1.2kWh/m^3$. Considering low salt concentrations of the groundwater, improvement of the ED system are required to increase current utilization and to apply low voltage while the ED system was applicable to produce drinking water.

철강산업 부생가스를 이용한 고순도 수소 제조 공정의 반응 조건 최적화 (Optimization of Reaction Conditions for the High Purity Hydrogen Production Process Using By-Product Gases in Steel Works)

  • Low-priced hydrogen is required in petrochemical industry for producing low-sulfur oil, and upgrading low-grade crude oil since environmental regulations have been reinforced. Steel industry can produce hydrogen from by-product gases such as Blast Furnace Gas (BFG), Coke Oven Gas (COG), and Linze Donawitz Gas (LDG) with water gas shift (WGS) reaction by catalysis. In this study, we optimized conditions for WGS reaction with commercial catalysts by BFG and LDG. In particular, the influence on activity of gas-hourly-space-velocity, and $H_2O/CO$ ratios at different temperatures were investigated. As a result, 99.9%, and 97% CO conversion were showed with BFG, and LDG respectively under $350^{\circ}C$ High Temperature Shift (HTS), $200^{\circ}C$ Low Temperature Shift (LTS), 3.0 of $H_2O/CO$, and $1500h^{-1}$ of GHSV. Furthermore, 99.9% CO conversion lasted for 250 hours with BFG as feed gas.

Friction Behavior of High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) Thermal Spray Coating Layer of Nano WC-Co Powder

  • High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) thermal spray coating of nano size WC-Co powder (nWC-Co) has been studied as one of the most promising candidate for the possible replacement of the traditional hard plating in some area which causes environmental and health problems. nWC-Co powder was coated on Inconel 718 substrates by HVOF technique. The optimal coating process obtained from the best surface properties such as hardness and porosity is the process of oxygen flow rate (FR) 38 FMR, hydrogen FR 57 FMR and feed rate 35 g/min at spray distance 6 inch for both surface temperature $25^{\circ}C\;and\;500^{\circ}C$. In coating process a small portion of hard WC decomposes to less hard $W_2C$, W and C at the temperature higher than its decomposition temperature $1,250^{\circ}C$ resulting in hardness decrease and porosity increase. Friction coefficient increases with increasing coating surface temperature from 0.55-0.64 at $25^{\circ}C$ to 0.65-0.76 at $500^{\circ}C$ due to the increase of adhesion between coating and counter sliding surface. Hardness of nWC-Co is higher or comparable to those of other hard coatings, such as $Al_2O_3,\;Cr,\;Cr_2O_3$ and HVOF Tribaloy 400 (T400). This shows that nWC-Co is recommendable for durability improvement coating on machine components such as high speed spindle.

두 개의 기포유동층으로 구성된 연속장치에서 CO2 회수를 위한 K-계열 고체흡수제의 수력학적 특성 및 반응특성 (Study of Hydrodynamics and Reaction Characteristics of K-based Solid Sorbents for CO2 Capture in a Continuous System Composed of Two Bubbling Fluidized-bed Reactors)

  • 본 연구에서는 두 개의 기포유동층으로 구성된 연속장치(높이: 1.2 m, 내경: 0.11 m)를 이용하여 실험장치의 최소유동화속도와 고체순환량을 측정하여 수력학적 특성을 파악하고 흡수-재생 조업변수에 의한 반응특성을 알아보았다. 사용된 K-계열 건식흡수제는 한국전력연구원으로부터 공급되었고 $CO_2$ 흡수를 위한 35%의 탄산칼륨과 기계적 강도를 위한 65%의 지지체로 구성되어 있다. 연속 장치는 두 개의 기포유동층 반응기, 수송관, 상승관, 냉각장치, 분석기, 히터 등으로 구성되어 있다. 이 장치의 최소유동화속도는 0.0088 m/s이고 수송관의 유속이 1.05 m/s일 때 고체순환량은 $10.3kg/m^2{\cdot}s$로 측정되었다. 모사가스를 이용하여 실험을 수행하였고 흡수반응기 입구 $CO_2$ 농도(Dry basis)는 약 10 vol%였고, 온도는 흡수반응온도 $70^{\circ}C$, 재생반응온도 $200^{\circ}C$에서 각각 일정하게 유지하였다. 반응기의 차압은 흡수반응기 $415mmH_2O$, 재생반응기 $350mmH_2O$에서 안정적으로 유지하였다. 실험은 조업변수들인 $H_2O$ 주입농도(7.28~19.66%), 모사가스 유속(0.053~0.103 m/s), 흡수반응온도($60{\sim}80^{\circ}C$), 재생반응온도($150{\sim}200^{\circ}C$), 고체순환량($7.0{\sim}10.3kg/m^2{\cdot}s$)의 변화에 따라 반응실험이 실시되었다. 각 변수실험은 정상상태 도달 후 1시간 정도 유지한 후 결과를 저장, 분석하였다. 실험결과 수증기 주입량, 재생반응온도, 고체순환량이 증가할수록 제거율은 증가하였고 흡수반응온도, 유속이 증가함에 따라 제거율은 감소하였다.

연소기체로부터 CO2 회수를 위한 건식 유동층 흡수-재생 공정의 고체순환 모사 (Modeling of Solid Circulation in a Fluidized-Bed Dry Absorption and Regeneration System for CO2 Removal from Flue Gas)

  • 기체 수송층 흡수탑과 기포 유동층 재생탑으로 구성된 $CO_2$ 회수 공정에 대한 해석의 첫 단계로 이 공정에서 고체 순환특성을 해석하였다. 흡수제 고체 입자에 대한 입도별 물질수지를 해석하여 공정의 흐름에서 고체 흐름량과 입도 분포를 결정하였다. 실험실 규모 공정(흡수탑: 직경 25 mm, 높이 6 m; 재생탑: 직경 0.1 m, 높이 1.2 m)에서 고체순환특성을 모사하였다. 흡수탑의 입도분포는 재생탑의 입도분포와 거의 같았다. 흡수탑에서 유속과 정체층 높이가 증가함에 따라서 고체순환량과 새 흡수제 주입량은 증가하였다. 반면에 흡수탑 내 입자의 평균입경은 감소하였다. 흡수탑사이클론의 절단입도가 증가함에 따라서 고체순환속도는 감소하였으며, 새 흡수제 주입속도와 흡수탑 내 입자의 평균 입경은 증가하였다. 흡수제 입자의 마모계수가 증가함에 따라서 고체순환속도는 증가하고, 새 흡수제 주입속도는 증가하며, 흡수탑 내 입자의 평균입경은 감소하였다.

선반가공공정에서 RSM을 이용한 가공공정의 포괄적 최적화 (Global Optimization of the Turning Operation Using Response Surface Method)

  • Optimization of the turning process has been concentrated on the selection of the optimal cutting parameters, such as cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. However, optimization of the cutting parameters does not necessarily guarantee the maximum profit. For the maximization of the profit, parameters other than cutting parameters have to be taken care of. In this study, 8 price-related parameters were considered to maximize the profit of the product. Regression equations obtained from RSM technique to relate the cutting parameters and maximum cutting volume with a given insert were used. The experiments with four combinations of cutting inserts and material were executed to compare the results that made the profit and cutting volume maximized. The results showed that the cutting parameters for volume and profit maximization were totally different. Contrary to our intuition, global optimization was achieved when the number of inserts change was larger than those for volume maximization. It is attributed to the faster cutting velocity, which decreases processing time and increasing the number of tool used and the total tool changing time.

외경선삭가공시 등가유효경사각에 따른 칩절단 특성 (Chip Breaking Characteristics Depending on Equivalent Effective Rake Angle in Turning)

  • Machinability in metal cutting processes depends on cutting input conditions such as cutting velocity, feed rate, depth of cut, types of work material and tool shape factors. In this study, to assess chip breaking characteristics of a turning process, an equivalent oblique cutting system to this has been established. And the equivalent effective rake angle was determined using side rake angle, back rake angle and side cutting edge angle of the tool. A non-dimensional parameter, Chip breaking index(CB), was used to assess Chip breaking characteristics of chip in conjunction with the equivalent effective rake angle. In case of positive rake angles of the equivalent effective rake, the back rake angle has little effect on the chip breaking characteristics however, in case of negative ones, the side rake angle has some effect on Chip breaking characteristics.

비구면 연삭 및 연마를 위한 공구 경로 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Control Method for the Tool Path of Aspherical Surface Grinding and Polishing)

  • This paper proposed the control algorithm fur aspheric surface grinding and was verified by the experiment. The functions of the algorithm were simultaneous control of the position and interpolation of the aspheric curve. The non-linear formula of the tool position was derived from the aspheric equations and the shape of the tool. The function was partitioned by an certain interval and the control parameters were calculated at each control section. The movement in a session was interpolated with acceleration and velocity. The position error was feed-backed by rotary encorder. The concept of feedback algorithm was correcting position error by increasing or decreasing the speed. In the experiment, two-axis machine was controlled to track the aspheric surface by the proposed algorithm. The effect of the control and process parameters was monitored. The result showed that the maximum tracking error was under sub-micro level for the concave and convex surfaces.

음향방출을 이용한 가공중의 엔드밀 파손 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the In-process Detection of Fracture of Endmill by Acoustic Emission Measurement)

  • Automatic monitoring of the cutting conditions is one of the most improtant technologies in machining. In this study, the feasibility in applying acoustic emission(AE) signals for the in-process detection of endmill wear and fracture has been investigated by performing experimental test on the NC vertical milling machine with SM45C for specimen. As the results of detecting and analyzing AE signals on various cutting conditions, the followings have confirmed. (1) The RMS value of acoustic emission is related sensitively to the cutting velocity, but is not affected largely by feed rate. (2) The burst type AE signals of high level have been observed when removing chips distorderly and discontinuously. (3) When the RMS value grows up rapidly due to the increase of wear the endmill are generally broken or fractured, but when the endmills fracture at the conditions of smooth chip-flow or built-up-edge(BUE) occurred frequently, the rapid change of the RMS arenot found. And it is expected that this technigue will be quite useful for in-process sensing of tool wear and fracture.
