Sparse Representation based Two-dimensional Bar Code Image Super-resolution

  • This paper presents a super-resolution reconstruction method based on sparse representation for two-dimensional bar code images. Considering the features of two-dimensional bar code images, Kirsch and LBP (local binary pattern) operators are used to extract the edge gradient and texture features. Feature extraction is constituted based on these two features and additional two second-order derivatives. By joint dictionary learning of the low-resolution and high-resolution image patch pairs, the sparse representation of corresponding patches is the same. In addition, the global constraint is exerted on the initial estimation of high-resolution image which makes the reconstructed result closer to the real one. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for two-dimensional bar code images by comparing with other reconstruction algorithms.

반도체 제조공정에서의 이상수율 검출 방법론 (A New Abnormal Yields Detection Methodology in the Semiconductor Manufacturing Process)

  • To prevent low yields in the semiconductor industry is crucial to the success of that industry. However, to prevent low yields is difficult because of too many factors to affect yield variation and their complex relation in the semiconductor manufacturing process. This study presents a new efficient detection methodology for detecting abnormal yields including high and low yields, which can forecast the yield level of a production unit (namely a lot) based on yield-related feature variables' behaviors. In the methodology, we use C5.0 to identify the yield-related feature variables that are the combination of correlated process variables associated with yield, use SOM (Self-Organizing Map) neural networks to extract and classify significant patterns of past abnormal yield lots and finally use C5.0 to generate classification rules for detecting abnormal yield lot. We illustrate the effectiveness of our methodology using a semiconductor manufacturing company's field data.

화자인식에서 차분을 이용한 새로운 데이터 추출 방법 (New Data Extraction Method using the Difference in Speaker Recognition)

  • This paper proposes the method to extract new feature vectors using the difference between the cepstrum for static characteristics and delta cepstrum for dynamic characteristics in speaker recognition (SR). The difference vector (DV) which it proposes from this paper is containing the static and the dynamic characteristics simultaneously at the intermediate characteristic vector which uses the deference between the static and the dynamic characteristics and as the characteristic vector which is new there is a possibility of doing. Compared to the conventional method, the proposed method can achieve new feature vector without increasing of new parameter, but only need the calculation process for the difference between the cepstrum and delta cepstrum. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a good performance more than 2.03%, on average, compared with conventional method in speaker identification (SI).

  • 본 논문에서는 동시대각화에 의한 일군정규화 및 혼합정규화시의 좌표계의 변환에 간목하여, 두 다변수군간의 특징추출을 행하는 수법을 제안, 그에 수반하는 몇몇의 성질과 고 적용례에 대해 기술했다. 또한 본수법의 유효성을 보이기 위해 인자분석결과와 비교해, 유의한 결과를 얻었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 MR영상의 신호획득 기법 중 TE(Time of Echo)신호와 움직임에 의한 인공물을 줄이기 위하여 신호수신 시간을 짧게 하는 UTE(Ultra Time of Echo)기법으로 신호를 획득하여 TE신호와 UTE신호의 차이를 공학적 도구인 MatLab의 DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) ToolBox를 이용하여 프로그램밍을 하여 특징을 추출한 후 UTE 기법의 유용성을 평가하고자 하였다. 추출된 특징값을 이용하여 TE신호(T2) 특징값과 UTE신호 특징값을 비교한 결과 거의 일치함을 알 수 있었다.

Fractal behavior identification for monitoring data of dam safety

  • Under the interaction between dam body, dam foundation and external environment, the dam structural behavior presents the time-varying nonlinear characteristics. According to the prototypical observations, the correct identification on above nonlinear characteristics is very important for dam safety control. It is difficult to implement the description, analysis and diagnosis for dam structural behavior by use of any linear method. Based on the rescaled range analysis approach, the algorithm is proposed to identify and extract the fractal feature on observed dam structural behavior. The displacement behavior of one actual dam is taken as an example. The fractal long-range correlation for observed displacement behavior is analyzed and revealed. The feasibility and validity of the proposed method is verified. It is indicated that the mechanism evidence can be provided for the prediction and diagnosis of dam structural behavior by using the fractal identification method. The proposed approach has a high potential for other similar applications.

시퀀스 데이터베이스를 위한 서브시퀀스 탐색의 효율적인 처리 (Efficient Processing of Subsequence Searching in Sequence Databases)

  • This paper deals with the subsequence searching problem under time-warping. Our work is motivated by the observation that subsequence searches slow down quadratically as the average length of data sequences increases. To resolve this problem, the Segment-Based Approach for Subsequence Searches (SBASS) is proposed. The SBASS divides data and query sequences into a series of segments, and retrieves all data subsequences. Our segmentation scheme allows segments to have different lengths; thus we employ the time warping distance as a similarity measure for each segment pair. For efficient retrieval of similar subsequences, we extract feature vectors from all data segments exploiting their monotonically changing properties, and build a spatial index using feature vectors. The effectiveness of our approach is verified through extensive experiments.

  • Hangul is expressed by the basic elements, twenty-four characters. Because these characters are composed of a circle and lines, Hough transform(HT), which has a powerful performance on the noise in extracting lines, is introduced. Many difficulties often occur when the original HT is used to extract strokes and it's direction, position and length from handwritten Hangul characters. Original HT has eight direction selected as samples in the transformed image should be calculated for these eight directions. In this paper, the generalized sampling rule is suggested. According to the rule, those directions which are possible to a line are the only thing to be calculated. The experoment result turned out to be higher than the method that Chen suggested in sampling rate. Anogher experiment result is done on the 1800 handwritten Hangul characters that 10 persons wrote. By feature extracting the oritinal HT and sampling HT. And as a result of six type classification, the suggested method came out higher than original HT.

  • This paper presents the fault diagnosis of induction motor based on support vector machine (SVMs). SVMs are well known as intelligent classifier with strong generalization ability. Application SVMs using kernel function is widely used for multi-class classification procedure. In this paper, the algorithm of SVMs will be combined with feature extraction and reduction using component analysis such as independent component analysis, principal component analysis and their kernel (KICA and KPCA). According to the result, component analysis is very useful to extract the useful features and to reduce the dimensionality of features so that the classification procedure in SVM can perform well. Moreover, this method is used to induction motor for faults detection based on vibration and current signals. The results show that this method can well classify and separate each condition of faults in induction motor based on experimental work.

웨이블릿변환과 상관관계를 이용한 지문의 분류 및 인식 (Fingerprint Classification and Identification Using Wavelet Transform and Correlation)

  • We present a fingerprint identification algorithm using the wavelet transform and correlation. The wavelet transform is used because of its simple operation to extract fingerprint minutiaes features for fingerprint classification. We perform the rowwise 1-D wavelet transform for a $256\times256$ fingerprint image to get a $1\times256$ column vector using the Haar wavelet and repeat 1-D wavelet transform for a 1$\times$256 column vector to get a $1\times4$ feature vector. Using PNN(Probabilistic Neural Network), we select the possible candidates from the stored feature vectors for fingerprint images. For those candidates, we compute the correlation between the input binary image and the target binary image to find the most similar fingerprint image. The proposed algorithm may be the key to a low cost fingerprint identification system that can be operated on a small computer because it does not need a large memory size and much computation.
