한국과 미국대학생의 충동구매행동과 신용카드사용에 대한 비교연구 (A Comparison of Impulse Buying Behavior and Credit Card Use between Korean and American College Students)

  • 현대 소비자들의 충동구매행동은 보편적이고도 뚜렷한 현상으로 소비자행동 연구가들에 의해 계속적인 관심을 받고 있다. 더욱이 신용카드와 같은 마케팅 혁신은 소비자들로 하여금 현금의 필요성을 없애주고 거래를 간편하게 해 줌으로써 전보다 더 쉽게 충동적인 구매를 할 수 있도록 자극하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국과 미국 대학생들의 충동구매행동과 신용카드사용 사이의 관계를 알아보기 위하여, 한국(N=154)과 미국(N=194) 대학생 중 신용카드 사용자들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고 확인적 요인분석(CFA), 다변량 분석(MANOVA), 다판별분석(MDA), 회귀분석을 실시하여 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 한국대학생과 미국대학생들은 충동구매행동 중 계획된 충동구매(Planned impulse buying), 상기된 충동구매(Reminded impulse buying), 순수충동구매(Pure impulse buying)에서 유사한 행동을 보였으나, 패션 지향적인 충동구매행동(Fashion-oriented impulse buying)은 미국대학생이 한국대학생보다 더 많이 하였다. 신용카드사용이 일반화되어 있는 미국의 대학생들이 한국대학생보다 카드 빛 관련(Debt), 크레딧(Credit) 관련, 소비(Spending)를 위한 신용카드사용을 더 많이 하는 경향이 있었다. 충동구매행동과 신용 카드사용의 관계에서 한국대학생의 경우 쇼핑 등 소비를 위한 신용카드사용 경향이 많은 사람일수록 상기된 충동구매, 패션지향적인 충동구매, 순수충동구매행동을 많이 하였다. 미국대학생들의 경우 크레딧에 신경을 쓰고 소비를 위해 신용카드를 사용하는 경향이 있는 사람일수록 구매의도만 가지고 점포를 둘러보다가 충동적으로 구매결정을 하고 구매의도가 없었어도 제품을 보는 순간 필요에 의해 충동적으로 구매를 하기도 하였으며, 신용카드를 소비에만 사용하는 경향이 있는 사람은 패션지향적이거나 순수한 충동에 의한 구매행동을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 한국과 미국의 국가간 비교연구로 대학생들의 충동구매행동과 신용카드사용에서 국가간 유사성과 차이가 있음을 밝혀줌으로써 국내외 마케터들에게 유용한 정보를 제공해 준다.

주얼리 충동구매에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Influential Variables of Impulse Buying in Jewelry Market)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influential variables of impulse buying for jewelry. A survey questionnaire was developed from previous researches. Data were obtained from female consumers who have purchased jewelry products living in Busan. The results showed that impulse buying of jewelry was influenced by shopping orientation, consumption value, store attributes, store types, and demographic variables. The impulse-buyers of jewelry were more likely to be recreational and fashion-oriented shoppers and to have store/brand loyalty than unimpulse-buyers. Additionally, they perceived importantly the uniqueness, newness or fashionability of jewelry, kindness of salesperson, store atmosphere, various design and assortment, and special sales of the jewelry store. They were more likely to patronize the department store and franchise store to purchase jewelry products. They also tended to spend more for jewelry and more frequently visit the jewelry store. Findings should provide the informations to assist marketers and researchers in their understandings of the jewelry market.

백화점카드 이용자의 패션라이프스타일에 따른 의복구매행동 (Clothing Purchasing Behavior of Department Store Credit Card Users according to Fashion Lifestyle)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the clothing purchasing behavior of department store credit card users according to fashion lifestyle. The questionnaire was administrated to 346 female department store credit card users aged over 20 living in Daegu, Frequency factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way Analysis of Variance (ANA), MANOVA, Scheffe test, ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test were used for satistical analysis. The consumers' lifestyle was classified by fashion oriented, practical and self conspicuous. The results showed that the credit card users' clothing purchasing behavior was different according to the fashion lifestyle. The self conspicuous group showed the highest score in impulse buying.

패션사이클 가속화에 따른 의류소비 행태 연구 (A Study on Consumption Behaviors in Accordance with the Acceleration of Fashion Cycle)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the differences in clothing consumption behaviors among female consumer groups in their twenties and to understand the type of consumer group pursuing fast fashion. Questionnaire survey was conducted to 230 female consumers residing in Seoul and Kyung Gi area from June 18 to 29 in 2007, and 178 were used for data analysis. Data analysis were conducted with SPSS 12 program on the reliability test, factor analysis, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. Factors analyses were employed for the attitude toward fashion and shopping, and shopping motives. Four factors were formulated for the attitude toward fashion: interest in fashion, fashion-orientation, fashion leadership and fashion conformity. Six factors for the attitude toward shopping were found: information searching, shopping enjoyment, store patronage, impulse buying, brand-orientation and convenience. Buying motives for fashion goods were classified into 3 factors: for matching & occasion, to-be-in-fashion and for necessity. Four clusters were identified based on the attitude toward fashion: the fashion-interested, the fashion-indifferent, fashion leaders and the individuality-oriented. Among the groups, significant differences were found in information searching, shopping enjoyment and store patronage. Fashion leaders tended to spend more for expensive and up-to-dated fashion items, and for higher quantity than other groups. Consequently fashion leaders showed attractive customer characteristics for the fast fashion companies.

디지털세대 남성소비자의 의복쇼핑성향에 따른 패션트렌드 수용도와 패션정보원 (Fashion Trend Acceptance and Fashion Information Sources according to Clothing Shopping Orientation among Digital Generation Male Consumers)

  • The purpose of this study were to examine fashion information acceptance and fashion information sources and to analyze the difference according to clothing shopping orientation among digital generation male consumers. The subject were 349 male who were belonging to digital generation as the digital era's new consumers familial with internet and various kinds of digital media. A self-administrated questionnaire was developed based on the results of previous researches. The data were analyzed by using frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, $\chi^2$ test, multiple regression analysis by SPSS WIN 12.0 package. The results of this study are as follows: First, clothing shopping orientation of digital generation males were classified into 6 factors: fashion oriented, impulse buying, aesthetic pursuit, individuality pursuit, practical type and reasonable economy. Based on the factor scores, 3 clusters were identified; independent, unconcern, high involvement. Second, the high involvement shopping group utilized various information sources. On the other hand, the unconcerned shopping group was passive in utilizing information sources. Third, the fashion information acceptance of digital generation was classified into 5 factors: searching, leading, following, non-accepting, and delaying acceptance. All fashion information acceptance factors were affected by the information and communication media. Finally, The high involved type of shopping group accepted fashion information at its most and actively.
