A Study on the Predictable Variables of Impulse Buying by College Women′s Clothing Shopping Orientation -on Marketing Stimulus Factors and Information Source- (의복쇼핑성향에 따른 여대생의 충동구매 예측변수에 관한 연구 -마케팅 자극요인과 정보원을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this research were to classify college women's clothing shopping orientation and analyze the predictable variables of impulse buying. The results of this research were as follows ; 1. Clothing shopping orientation was classified leisure pursuit, economic, careful and name brand preferring shopping. With reference to leisure pursuit and economic shopping, they were classified into four types, low shopping involved shopping type, economic shopping type, leisure pursuit shopping type, and high shopping involved shopping type. The low shopping-involved and the economic shopping types made much of planned buying. The planned impulse buying, reminder impulse buying, fashion oriented impulse buying and pure impulse buying were highly evaluated in the high-involved and the leisure pursuit shopping types. 3. The high shopping-involved and leisure pursuit shopping types were more likely to do impulse buying than low shopping-involved and the economic shopping types. 4. The most important factor for the four groups was design. Quality, color, utility were followed by design. 5. Impulse buying behaviors of four groups could be predicted by the information source and the marketing stimulus buying.

  • This study is on the aesthetic characteristics of Balenciaga design succeeded to by Nicolas Ghesquiere, and tried to understand his pursuing brand's new design concept and aesthetics. The three key characteristics of Balenciaga designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere are Retrospecitvness, Eclecticism, Deconstruciton. First, Balenciaga looks retrospective sense through reinterpreting tradition. Nicolas created a new sense of expression by mixing his proper instinct with Balenciaga's original properties, historical components of the past western dress, and various design elements of assistants who used to work in Balenciaga. Second, Balenciaga expresses uncertain meaning by compromising between contrast and synthesis among the past and the future, the males and the females, simple and ornament, or different styles. Third, Nicolas's experimental and outsider-oriented view of Deconstruction through reorienting of thought is considered a try for a new formative concept as a designer who is not limited by general rules.

A Study on the Information Search Behavior Emphasis on the Self-image and Benefit - (의복 구매시 정보 탐색 활동에 관한 연구 -자아 이미지와 추구 편익을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors which explain consumer's information search behavior. Data were analyzed by utilizing factor analysis and multiple-regression to investigate the relationship among information sources, benefit, and actual and ideal self- image and demographics. Based on the results, information sources for benefit, actual and ideal self-image were developed. Predictors of information sources, benefits, and self-image were identified. Marketing implication about information sources were discussed. The results were as follows. 1. Actual and ideal self-images and information sources were devised into three factors. And benefits were devised into five factors. 2. Actual self-image has more predicting power than ideal self-image to the benefits which consumer sought. Among five benefits, character pursuit was the best predicted factor according to the self-image. 3. Among three information sources, mass communication was the most effective source which can be explained by the benefit and self-image. Fashion pursuit factor was the most significant factor to the mass communication oriented source.

  • Modeling of systems for intensive knowledge-based processing requires a modeling methodology that makes efficient access to the information in huge data base models. The proposed level access mothodology is a modeling approach applicable to systems where data is stored in a hierarchical and modular modules of active memory cells(processor/memory pairs). It significantly reduces the effort required to create discrete event simulation models constructed in hierarchical, modular fashion for above application. Level access mothodology achieves parallel access to models within the modular, hierarchical modules(clusters) by broadcasting the desired operations(e.g. querying information, storing data and so on) to all the cells below a certain desired hierarchical level. Level access methodology exploits the capabilities of object-oriented programming to provide a flexible communication paradigm that combines port-to-port coupling with name-directed massaging. Several examples are given to illustrate the utility of the methodology.

Clothing Behavior of Kidult Group (키덜트(Kidult)족의 의복행동)

  • This study is a review of the clothing behavior of kidult group that is a new minority group in 21st century. Kidult is the compound word of kid and adult and refers the persons who have become adults but with the inclination to focus on childlike culture and consumption. As the background of the appearance of the kidult group these days, the prevalence of throwback fashions, high valuation of appearance, the phenomenon to prefer light things caused by economic depression, the individualism that does not care about others and the ageless phenomenon that the consumptions are mind age oriented, may be pointed out. The most prominent cloth behavioral characters of the kidult group are that they enjoy bounding color combinations such as candy color and. that cute t-shirts, crop pants and volume skirts of girlish look are easily found. Also, they enjoy toy-like ornaments and illustrated clothes or accessories and the school uniform fashion implying nostalgia for girl-hood and lovely make-up indicate the kidult inclination.

Mobile Phone Dependency, Motivations and Effects of Mobile Phone Usage Among Korean Adolescents (청소년의 휴대전화 의존, 이용동기 및 결과에 관한 연구)

  • A mobile phone usage survey was administered to a nationwide sample of 3,617 adolescents. Major motivations of mobile phone usage were mobility/real-time connection, show off, information acquisition, entertainment, dialogue, schedule management, and advice. Maintenance of social relationship with the peer group was most important in mobile phone use. Motivations influenced mobile phone dependency : show off had the strongest influence on anxiety/paranoia followed by dialogue, entertainment, mobility/real-time connection. Without their phones, fashion-oriented adolescents showed mobile phone dependency and anxiety. Stronger dialogue and entertainment motivations were associated with weaker real time connection motivation and stronger paranoia symptoms. Mobile phone dependent adolescents had lower grades, showed lack of attention, had little dialogue with their parents and showed withdrawal from the peer group.

Enhanced flexoelectric switching made from self-assembly of smectic liquid crystal and triallyl dopant

  • Here we report an enhanced flexoelectric switching in a self-assembled system of smectic liquid crystal and some specific dopant. The assembled unit block seemed to have electric dipole and as a result induces large flexoelectric polarization due to its asymmetric shape and shows fast switching to the electric field. The unit blocks are oriented in a helical fashion in the cell with large gap (${\sim}5{\mu}m$) and shows selective reflection property. In the thin cell (${\sim}2{\mu}m$), the unit blocks are aligned homeotropically on the bare ITO substrate with no surface treatment and shows fast decaying time.

  • Multilayer films of inorganic analogues of Langmuir-Blodgett films have been prepared on silicon and gold substrates and characterized by ellipsometry, XPS, FT-IRRS, and electrochemical measurements. The deposition technique requires first covalent attachment or adsorption of a phosphonic acid anchoring agent; $HO(CH_3)(CH_2)_2Si(CH_2)_3PO_3H_2$ and $[-S(CH_2)_4PO_3H_2]_2$ were used with Si and Au, respectively. The functionalized substrates are exposed alternately to aqueous $ZrOCl_2$ and l,l0-decanediylbis(phosphonic acid) solutions to yield multilayer films. Surface-sensitive probes show that the films are compact and grow in an oriented fashion suggestive of good structural order.

  • We have released five Java Application Programming Interface (API) packages for viewing three-dimensional structures of proteins from the Protein Data Bank. To this end, the user interface of an earlier version has been refactored in an object-oriented fashion, in which refactoring is the process of changing a software system to improve its internal structure, without altering the external behavior. Various GUI design and features have been provided conveniently thanks to the Model-View-Control (MVC) model, which is an architectural pattern used in software engineering.   • The purpose of the study is to identify the designers' and the patterner's pattern making, draping and the use of dress form in domestic companies of designer's brand to present basic information for effective pattern works. It turned out that the designer brand companies at home use flat pattern and draping at the same time rather than draping only The effects of the use of draping lies in unique designs and elastic materials, which seems proper phenomena for the current design trend such as high duality and diversification. But, draping has such problems that the pattern takes long time to be finished and that the staffs don't acquire well the needed skills due to the lack of draping education. To secure the high added value of fashion, it is required to develop education programs for new skills and to apply draping actively. Also, it requires an educational system in which practice oriented skills are cultivated, and efficient investment into apparel business.
