To this end, the NVivo 12.0 qualitative data analysis software was used. The content analysis showed that the sales information of secondhand clothing goods was classified into four dimensions: detailed information of the sale goods, information specific to secondhand clothing goods, seller opinion information, and service information. The components of each dimension were as follows. The detailed information of the sale goods included size, sale price, item, design, brand name, material, color, wearing season, fit, gender, etc. The information specific to secondhand clothing goods included the number of times the item was worn, its purchase history, and product condition. Seller opinion information included product review, sales motivation, notes for the transaction, coordination proposal, and usage proposal. The service information included the transaction mode, exchange·return·refund, and promotion. The frequency analysis showed that the highest frequencies were sale goods(37.47%), information specific to secondhand clothing goods(24.63%), seller opinion information(20.54%), and service information(17.37%). This study will help C2C secondhand trading platform managers or sellers establish clear standards for presenting sales information and developing ideas toward constructing differentiated platform contents.

  • This study explored the product attributes Vietnamese mothers consider for the purchase of children's wear, the differences of product attributes between groups with different levels of conspicuous consumption, and the extent to which the Korean wave affects the purchasing behavior of children's wear brands. The results are as follows. First, the product attribute that Vietnamese mothers consider most when purchasing children's clothes is the comfort in physical activities. Fabric type and quality, sizing and fit, durability, color, child suitability, design, cutting and construction, price, fashionability, and maintenance and laundering are the other attributes (respectively) that influence the purchase of children's wear. Second, the high conspicuous consumption group considers brand, maintenance and laundering, durability, the reactions of others, and fashionability significantly more than the low conspicuous consumption group. Third, the purchase intention of Korean children's wear brands is affected by the perception of the Korean wave than the influence of the reference group or the tendency of conspicuous consumption. The results show that low prices and practicality were important considerations for children's clothing purchases by Vietnamese mothers; however, brand name and fashionability were more powerful predictors for the high conspicuous consumption group. Those with a high perception of the Korean wave also had a higher intention of Korean children's wear brand, which is indicative of the halo effect of the Korean wave. Thus, Korean children's wear brands that plan to enter the Vietnamese market should make active use of the Korean wave.

  • Since the beginning of the first online shopping mall, BEST 100 is being provided as the core of all shopping mall websites. BEST 100 is greatly important because consumers can identify popular products at a glance. However, there are only studies using sales outcome indicators, and prior studies using BEST 100 are insignificant. Therefore, this study selected 11 online shopping malls and compared their main characteristics. As a research method, exploratory data analysis technique (EDA) was used by crawling the BEST 100 components of each shopping mall website, such as product name, price, and free shipping check. As a result, the total average price of 11 shopping malls was 72,891.41 won. Sales texts were classified into 8 categories by text mining. The most common category was the fashion part, but it is significant that the setting of the category analyzed the marketing text, not the product attribute. This study has implications for understanding the current online market flow and suggesting future directions by using EDA.

  • Noting that there is an increasing trend of the so-called 'neo-single life style' among women these days, this research aims to make a product development for these neo-single women in this era of families of a single member by analyzing their concepts and characteristics. We payed a particular attention to the data from such sources as newspapers, magazines or the articles in the Internet. The essence of our research lies in the analysis of target market, in the suggestions in the brand planning and product development and in the designs of fashion and interior products for them. The result of this research is as follows. First, it turns out that these neo-single women enjoy a kind of multi-mixing code lifestyle rather than showing a preference for a particular brand. For this reason, we have decided to pursue a multi-concept brand fonn as a right direction for brand planning for them. Second, as for a philosophy behind the brands, we suggest a concept of 'small utopia' for neo-single women and express such as new aristocracy, happiness and pleasure. Third, we adopt 'YOU' as the name of the brand as it reflects their various life styles and characteristics. Fourth, as for the product development of F/W in 2007, we have decided on 'Minimal Natural' as it mixes up the concepts of the controlled beauty of sophistication and multi-functional elements and 'Modern Primitive' as it expresses the ethnic elements on modern images having craft factors and modern images. We have performed concrete tasks in creating images, coloring, making fabrics for each theme. Fifth, we have chosen and suggested other products that are suitable for these neo-single women who seek for multi-functional but simple kinds after surveying a wide range of products in magazines or in the Internet.
