The purpose of this study was to examine effectiveness of congruence between brand image and advertisement model on fashion advertisement effect. 206 female college students were surveyed for this study. For this study, three hypothesis were set up as follows: First, if fashion brand image and advertisement model image are in congruence, consumers' product preference would be higher, compared to in disharmony. Second, if fashion brand image and advertisement model image are in congruence, consumers' advertisement attitudes would be higher, compared to in disharmony. Third, if fashion brand image and advertisement model image are in congruence, consumers' purchasing intention would be higher, compared to in disharmony. As the results, three all hypothesis were accepted. Based on these results, fashion marketing strategies regarding advertisement would be suggested.
Many fashion brands provide sophisticated customization services with advanced technology. Previous studies have revealed that a high level of customization aided by technology positively influences purchase intention. However, since fashion products are society-approved symbols, brand prestige and consumer propensity are expected to affect purchase behavior of customized products. This study aims to identify the purchase decision mechanism of customized products by identifying the relationships among self-expression, brand prestige, narcissistic disposition, and purchase intention. An online survey was conducted on 220 Korean women in their 20s and 30s with customization experience. The results of the data analysis showed that the affluent customization area and narcissistic disposition positively affected purchase intention. Surprisingly, when brand prestige was high and narcissistic disposition was low, the more affluent the customization area, the higher the purchase intention. However, for higher narcissistic disposition, no significant relationship was found between the customization area and purchase intention. This study provides insights into discriminatory customization strategies based on consumer propensity and the brand prestige level when providing customization services in fashion brands.

This study is about the effect of original brand on the evaluation of extended brand in the policy of an enterprise's extending its brand. More specifically, this study investigated to see whether the customers' attitude toward original brand has effect on an extended brand and the width and similarity extent of the brand extension affect a brand which is not similar when another brand is extended. The summary of the demonstrative analysis results are as follows: 1. If the attitude toward original brand becomes more positive, the evaluation of the extended brand will become more positive as well. 2. If the attitude toward original brand becomes more positive, the width of a brand extension will become wider. 3. If customers' attitude toward a original brand is positive, their attitude toward an extended brand will be positive as well although the extended brand is not similar to the original brand. This study proved it is possible for brands to be extended from a original brand under the influence of the original brand even though they are weak in their similarity to their original brand unlike the existing theory which was skeptical about the extension of a brand which is low in its similarity to its original brand and that the success of the extension of a brand does not depend upon its similarity to its original brand.
The home furnishing and living market is growing because of the increasing interest of consumers in living spaces. In this trend, global fashion companies are seeking to increase sales by expanding their businesses by launching their own home lines or brands early, taking advantage of the various advantages of each brand. In response, this study was designed to examine the strategies necessary for domestic fashion brands to pursue their business in the future by conducting a case study and characteristics analysis of the living brands of foreign fashion companies in line with the trend of expanding their living-related businesses. The following is an analysis of the characteristics of the living brands of global fashion companies. First of all, utilizing the brand awareness of fashion companies; second, the strength of unique textile designs; and third, the expansion of synergy through the expansion of the business into various fields. Fourth, the lack of diversification in materials suitable for living products; fifth, the lack of information on quality; sixth, the lack of space and contents for living areas. Finally, a living brand strategy of a domestic fashion company was proposed as follows. First, it proposed collaboration with textile design companies and designers; second, it proposed exploring business models through the inclusion of brand licenses; and third, it proposed expanding the planning of living products of private brand by distribution companies.
The purpose of this study was to develop a logo type for a new fashion brand and to present design cases that apply the relevant logo type to suggest an advisable direction for logo design. This study analyzed the logo designs of domestic and foreign fashion brands and used the data to develop a logo type for a brand name that reflects the concept of the newly launched brand, in addition to presenting the relevant design process and method. Besides a literature review, this study conducted case analyses of domestic and foreign fashion brand logos. This is an empirical study in which researchers developed a logo type and presented designs that applied it. The research results are as follows. The brand name of the new L Fashion brand in Korea is 'LEAY'. This study developed a logo using the initials L, E, A, and Y, each standing for life, love, and liberty; esteem, eternity; act, art; and youth. The Caslon type font, which evokes a casual yet modern sentiment, was used for the design. Cleats and zippers, which are decorative subsidiary materials used in labels, tags, shopping bags, clothing, and props, were applied in the design of the developed logo type. All design cases was produced into articles. The case of fashion brand logo design and development presented in this study implies that the development of fashion brand logos and the logo-applied product design must be tied to the launching and planning process; thus, logo development must be based on the brand concept in relation to the market entry strategy that satisfies both producers and customers.

However, after purchasing the products, they recognized that the second companies' service level was not so satisfying. This study intended to construct the brand switching matrix in the Korean casual wear market and to analyze it in various aspects. 1,014 sample data were collected in Seoul area, a center of fashion retailing. Since the respondents cited over 200 brand names as their last 2 purchased casual wear brands, 15 most frequently-purchased brands were selected for constructing the brand switching matrix. As a result of the examination, it was founded that the brand loyalty was dominant rather than brand switching in the casual wear market. Polo was identified as the leading brand in the market. Its brand equity, which was comprised of brand recognition, brand preference (loyalty), perceived quality, and brand association, was evaluated very high. Especially, the strength of Polo was the consumer's strong preference and the brand image of simplicity, naturalness, and neatness. After combining 15 brands into 6 groups based on the style and price, additional interpretation was performed on this 'trend switching matrix.' A transition of fashion trend in casual wear was observed. Applying the brand switching matrix on fashion products gave us much insight to the market.

Brand love contributes to consumers' positive post-purchase behavior; therefore, fast fashion brand marketers should make more efforts to develop marketing strategies to promote brand love in the increasingly competitive fast fashion industry. This study identified the antecedents and consequences of fast fashion brand love to provide insights into brand love. Brand-related variables (affective brand experience, self-expressive brand, and hedonic brand attitude) were considered as antecedents, and post-purchase behavior variables (loyalty and positive word of mouth) were considered as consequences. It was hypothesized that affective brand experience, self-expressive brand, and hedonic brand attitude directly and indirectly influence brand loyalty and positive word of mouth through brand love. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Two hundred and eighty-six questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Factor analysis revealed that all variables were uni-dimensional. Tests of the hypothesized path showed that affective brand experience and self-expressive brand indirectly influenced brand loyalty and positive word of mouth through brand love versus the direct influence of hedonic brand attitude. The results suggest some implications for fast fashion brand marketers.
