The purpose of this study is the development of an experimental design that aims to implement three-dimensional fashion design by observing the human body, extracting and combining geometric shapes and forms, and focusing on attempts to decompose the geometry of the human body in art history. Considering the characteristics of fashion design, which inevitably reflect human images visually, this study considered works by deriving geometric shapes and forms of the human body and focusing on decomposition and combination to apply them to fashion design. The results obtained through the development of fashion design through decomposition and combination based on geometric human body analysis are as follows. First, geometric analysis of the human body as an object of expression continues from the history of Cubism to modern fashion design. Second, the geometric shapes of the human body that appear in contemporary fashion design maximize visual effects through three-dimensional composition, emphasizing simplicity while showing originality through various expressions. Third, when exploring the geometric shapes of a moving human body, it was possible to extract a wide variety of shapes and forms through drawing and simplifying the human body's movements. Fourth, the formative method of fashion design was introduced and used for the aesthetic combination of objects for fashion design through decomposition and combination. This study was able to show unique and diverse combinations of visually concise and ordered geometric shapes in the expression of fashion design by decomposing and combining them. The significance of these geometric forms is that they can diversify formative informativeness in the expression of fashion design with modern compositional beauty.
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the attributes of mobile shopping apps on the purchase intention of fashion products in the steadily growing mobile commerce market and analyze the mediation effect of shopping flow. Research design, data and methodology : In this study, a survey was conducted on users in their 20s to 50s who had experience of fashion products via mobile shopping apps. The questionnaire was analyzed on the final 507. The research issues were verified using Frequency analysis, Exploratory factor analysis, Reliability analysis, Confirmatory factor analysis, and Structural equation model. Results : Among the attributes of mobile shopping apps, reliability, enjoyment and ease of use were found to have a significant impact on shopping flow and fashion product purchase intention, while shopping flow had a significant impact on fashion product purchase intention. Product diversity and usefulness of shopping apps didn't show a significant effect. After examining the mediation effect, reliability, enjoyment, and ease of use were shown to have indirect effects by showing partial mediation effects. Conclusions : Studies show that consumers are not putting much emphasis on how diverse a product line is available and how useful a mobile shopping app is when they shop for fashion products on mobile devices. Factors that affect consumers' purchase intention are reliability, enjoyment and ease of use of shopping apps. These results shows that it is important to provide reliable information about fashion products, provide reliability to customers by setting up means for safe transactions, and provide a wider variety of services and information to make using the mobile shopping app enjoyable. In addition, there is a need to make it easy to find a fashion product that consumers like and make it easy to purchase when consumers find out fashion products that they like, and to configure how to use the app easily. Consequently, consumers become immersed in shopping which is also able to improve consumers' purchase intention on fashion products when a reliable, enjoyable and easy to use mobile shopping app is provided.
The purpose of this study were to examine fashion information acceptance and fashion information sources and to analyze the difference according to clothing shopping orientation among digital generation male consumers. The subject were 349 male who were belonging to digital generation as the digital era's new consumers familial with internet and various kinds of digital media. A self-administrated questionnaire was developed based on the results of previous researches. The data were analyzed by using frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, $\chi^2$ test, multiple regression analysis by SPSS WIN 12.0 package. The results of this study are as follows: First, clothing shopping orientation of digital generation males were classified into 6 factors: fashion oriented, impulse buying, aesthetic pursuit, individuality pursuit, practical type and reasonable economy. Based on the factor scores, 3 clusters were identified; independent, unconcern, high involvement. Second, the high involvement shopping group utilized various information sources. On the other hand, the unconcerned shopping group was passive in utilizing information sources. Third, the fashion information acceptance of digital generation was classified into 5 factors: searching, leading, following, non-accepting, and delaying acceptance. All fashion information acceptance factors were affected by the information and communication media. Finally, The high involved type of shopping group accepted fashion information at its most and actively.
The purpose of this study is to consider effective digital marketing strategies through analysis of luxury fashion brands. This study conducted both quantitative analysis and case studies of the brands Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry, and Chanel. To measure the brand image of the luxury fashion brands, the survey was distributed to Millennials, and total of 277 responses were used for the final analysis by using SPSS 25.0 statistical program. Other than survey, this paper analyzed digital marketing strategies of luxury fashion brands through brand-related papers, website and social media of each brand, Samsung Designnet's database, and news posted on search engines. The results of this study are as follows: First, according to the result of examining brand image of luxury fashion brands, there was no significant difference between brands, except Gucci. Second, this study analyzed each luxury fashion brand to understand the characteristics of digital marketing, and common characteristics were identified. Third, by analyzing the brand image and digital marketing strategies of luxury fashion brands, it was confirmed that Gucci's brand image and digital marketing strategies were consistent, while there was a difference between Burberry's brand image and digital marketing strategy. Therefore, this article proposes the following digital marketing strategies that are suitable for luxury fashion brands. First, is the connection of on/offline channels. Second, is the use of AI technology. Third, is a blockchain-based platform.
The purpose of this study is to grasp the character of consumers and the situation of domestic kidult fashion market. By grasping the distribution of kidult generation and the factors of product-selection based on products images, this research could be a substantial data to kidult associated company product planning and marketers. Subjects for this study were 213 Daegu women from 20 to 30 yearn of age who have high propensity to kidult. The statistical treatment of material used by SPSS 1.0 program consists of frequency analysis, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, cluster analysis, and t-test. As a results, the characteristics of kidult consumers are classified as six factors. On image toward of kidult fashion goods, there was a significant difference 20 and 30 aged generation. According to fashion goods group, each group recognized on image of fashion products as follow: Group A is 'fancy', group B is 'childish', group C are 'familiarity', group D was recognized as 'fancy' and was identical to A on adjective expression, but was different A on recognition. All consumer characteristics of fun, character, girlish, nostalgia have a significant relation with the recurrence of products selection factor, and its order was character, girlish, nostalgia, and fun.
This study investigates the differences in: 1) attitudes toward the advertising ofjeans, buying intension, importance of merchandise selection factors, and utilization of information sources among groups according to the level of fashion involvement 2) attitudes toward advertising and buying intension among types of advertising 3) importance among merchandise selection factors 4) utilization among types of information source. Questionnaires were distributed to 300 men and women between 10 and 30 years of age. A sample of 286 men and women responded to the questionnaire. Using SPSS/PC version 12.0, factor analysis, reliability analysis, analysis of variance, and randomized block design are used for the data analysis. The results showed significant differences in: 1) attitudes toward the advertising of jeans, buying intension, importance of merchandise selection factors, and utilization of information source among groups according to levels of fashion involvement 2) attitudes toward advertising and buying intension among types of advertising 3) importance among merchandise selection factors 4) utilization among types of information sources.
This research has attempted for a categorization by contemplating on concepts and characteristics of eco fashion design through analysis of precedent studies and to study the design characteristics, images, and internal values through keyword and design codes which appeared in the precedent studies. The subject of analysis was mostly focused on the theses published in international and domestic academic journals from 1990s to September 2009. The design characteristics of each eco fashion design were analyzed by classifying by form, detail, color, fabric and pattern. Method of analysis did content analysis. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. First of all, types of eco fashion design were human-ecology design, natural-ecology design, and social-ecology design. Secondly, the human-ecology design was presented a natural and comfortable form, color of the nature, and functional and new materials. The natural-ecology design was presented a natural silhouette, natural colors, and natural fiber. The social-ecology design were used a loose silhouette and over-size forms, natural colors, and recycled materials and bio fabric. Thirdly, the images per type of eco fashion design were Zen, sportive, natural, and modern image. And the internal values were presented efficiency, health-orientation, naturalness, and continuity.
The purpose of this study is to identify the antecedents of fashion consciousness. As antecedents, psychological variables and consumption-related variables were considered. Materialism and change seeking were included as psychological variables, and face conscious consumption, status consumption, and shopping enjoyment were included as consumption-related variables. It was hypothesized that materialism and change seeking not only influence fashion consciousness directly but also indirectly through face conscious consumption, status consumption, and shopping enjoyment. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Three hundred five questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. SPSS was used for exploratory factor analysis, and AMOS was used for confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis. The results showed that all the fit statistics for the variable measures were quite acceptable. In addition, the overall fits of the model suggest that the model fits the data well. The hypothesized relationship test proved that materialism directly influence fashion consciousness and that materialism and change seeking influence fashion consciousness indirectly through face conscious consumption and shopping enjoyment. Regarding their relative importance on fashion consciousness, shopping enjoyment was the most influential factor followed by materialism and face conscious consumption, in that order. In developing and implementing marketing strategies for fashion conscious consumers, marketers should focus on satisfying shopping enjoyment, materialism and face conscious consumption.
The purpose of this study is to examine emerging trends in fashion films and the impact of COVID-19 through analysis of Prada films produced before and after the initial spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. We selected 40 cases occurring prior to the pandemic, from June to December 2019, and 21 cases occurring since the outbreak, from June to December 2020. To identify relevant trends, we conduct a literature review and examine a range of case studies. First, travel restrictions and confronting activities currently inhibit production. Through our case study analysis, we identify nineteen cases in between before and after COVID-19. Secondly, Prada can be seen to mainly produce episodes and promotional films. Additionally, it develops content showcasing brand values in environmental, cultural, creative, and sport-related fields; intended audiences extend beyond the realm of fashion. Thirdly, a new film category began to develop after the outbreak of COVID-19, namely, narrative films utilizing virtual interactions. According to our analysis results, we expect film production that is increasingly facilitated by virtual communication, technology utilization, and online platforms to continue even after the resolution of COVID-19. New film categories will emerge, and we predict that the gap between the number of cases before and after COVID-19 will narrow.
The purpose of this study is to conduct more practical subsequent research by identifying research areas through a systematic analysis of sustainable fashion design research trends. For this study, 117 journals domestic journals published between 2010 and 2020 were selected using the keyword, 'sustainable fashion'. With the research materials, six top keywords, 'zero waste', 'sustainability', 'eco-friendly', 'upcycling', 'recycling', and 'ethical', were derived. The research status was examined by year, keyword, keyword and year, and research topic. The analysis results are as follows. First, looking into the studies by year, it was found that research on sustainable fashion increased in general. Compared to 2010, the research tripled in 2020, and it was found to have increased steadily from 2018. Second, regarding the research by keyword, eco-friendly was the most common. It can be seen that research tended to focus on recycling or eco-friendliness before, but in later material design development was heading towards upcycling. Third, concerning the research by topic, case studies were found the most before, but research on design development tended to increase recently. Based on that, it is expected that the areas of sustainable fashion design that need more research will be investigated further.
