The subjects of analysis in this paper, the clan name roots "Baj," "Kim," and "Shama/Sama," while distributed commonly among the Altai, Ye i, and isolated language groups, are most widely distributed among the Evenki. The clan name root "Baj-" is widely distributed among indigenous Siberian nations, but is most frequently found among the Manchu-Tungus, especially the Evenki. Therefore, it appears that clans with this root originated from Pribajkal'e, known to be the origin of the Evenki, and spread widely among the nearby Buryats, Mongols, and Yakuts, later spread east to the Nivhi of the Amur River, to the Enisej Protoasiatic language nations such as the Yukaghir or Ket to the north, and the Samoyed language group nations such as the Ne and Selkup. According to the analysis results in this paper, the Evenki clan name "Kim" has the meaning of "person," but also is somewhat associated with gold, metal, or stone. On one hand, while the origin of the clan name "Kim" cannot be clearly established, the clan was assimilated into the Evenki near in ancient times, after which the clan name became widely known among the Manchu-Tungus nations, and furthermore in the Turk nations. The clan name Shama/sama is widely spread across Siberia, including the Manchu-Tungus language group nations of the Altai language family, the Turk language family, and the Samoyed language groups of the Ural language family. Moreover, this clan name is not associated with famous mythic ancestors or heroes of historically famous Asian nations, and it cannot be translated into contemporary language; thus the identification of the meaning and origins of this word is by no means an easy task.
With the upcoming Digital age, it is time to develop digitalized contents based on cultural basis. in this respect, Kimchi is one of the most primal cultural content signifying Korean culture. It's no doubt the time to initiate the movement to digitalize the contents concerning Kimchi by gathering materials on the origin of Kimchi culturally and a great value to revive digital contents regarding Kimchi. Therefore, in this research, it is regarded that Kimchi is one of the most prominent cultural value that is possible to inherit from generations and should be stratified on the database. A method explaning Korean Kimchi culture is sought in this paper. And It is focused on the culture of Korean Kimchi profoundly and focus on detailed context and varied styles of he digital contents. It is organized on the basis of various aged volumes regarding Kimchi classified by seasons, ingredients, Jonga Kimchi (Kimchi inherited from the oldest family by generations), 24 seasonal divisions of the year, and 8 regional divisions of the nation. It is planned to set up digitally-focused library regarding cultural origin of contents and to present solidity and a feeling of being dynamic The results could be used in a variety of Industries in tourism, education, Kimchi and building basic infrastructure in entertainment industry. It is also applied to specialized industry by providing cultural contents and it could contribute to activation of Kimchi industry with e-Market and portal site regarding Kimchi. Moreover, it may re-establish the cultural value of Kimchi and provide the infrastructure in Kimchi-related industry such as Kimchi cyber museum, Kimchi Expo, Kimchi town by using educational materials in Education industry fields (regular curriculum and experience tour).
Recognizing a basal group in a taxon is one of the most important factors involved in understanding the evolutionary history of that group of life. Many botanists have suggested a sister to all other angiosperms to understand the origin and rapid diversification of angiosperms based on morphological and fossil evidence. Recent technical advances in molecular biology and the accumulation of molecular phylogenetic data have provided evidence of the extant basal-most angiosperm which is a sister to all other angiosperms. Although it is still arguable, most plant taxonomists agree that Amborella trichopoda Baill., a species (monotypic genus and monotypic family) distributed in New Caledonia, is a sister to all other extant angiosperms based on evidence from the following molecular approaches: 1) classical phylogenetic analyses based on multiple genes (or DNA regions), 2) analyses of a tree network of duplicated gene families, and 3) gene-structural evidence. As an alternative hypothesis with relatively minor evidence, some researchers have also suggested that Amborella and Nymphaeaceae form a clade that is a sister to all other angiosperms. Debate regarding the basal-most angiosperms is still ongoing and is currently one of the hot issues in plant evolutionary biology. We expect that sequencing of the whole genome of Amborella as an evolutionary model plant and subsequent studies based on this genome sequence will provide information regarding the origin and rapid diversification of angiosperms, which is Darwin's so called abominable mystery.
This study has observed the development, structure and distribution of oil canals in mitsuba, seri, ashitaba and hamabohu, that are condiment herbs belonging to the Umbelliferae family, using a light microscope. Oil canals were found in the petioles, leaf blades, stems, roots, hypocotyls and cotyledons. Oil classified into distribution due to ring vascular bundles, as in mitsuba and seri, and distribution due to diffuse vascular bundles, as in ashitaba and hamabohu. Oil canal development in the cortex due to petiole thickening was followed by the development of collenchyma and vascular bundles. However, no vascular bundles were formed in some cases. Many oil canals were found in the periphery of the petioles. Oil canals in leaf blades were found on the adaxial and abaxial sides on the veins. Those around the main veins were larger. Steam oil canals were found in the cortex and pith in mitsuba and seri, and in the cortex and fundamental tissues around the xylem, in ashitaba and hamabohu, while those in the roots were found in the pericycle in mitsuba and seri, and in the collenchyma-like tissues and phloem in ashitaba and hamabohu. The transverse sections of oil canals were round or elliptical. The secretory cells in the cortex and pith were smaller than the neighboring parenchyma cells, while they were larger than the neighboring parenchyma cells in the phloem.
The taxonomic revision of the family Congridae was made based on the specimens collected from the south-western coasts of the Korea from June 1988 to Oct. 1993. The family Congridae was classified into 8 species belonging to 6 genera. based on the external and internal morphological characters : Anago anago, Ariosoma anagodies, Ariosoma shiroanago shiroanago, Conger myriaster, Conger japonicus, Gnathophis nystromi nystromi, Rhechias retrotincta and Uroconger lepturus. Among the species reported as the congrid eels from Korea until now, four species were transferred into different generic or specific name Conger flavirostris into Ariosoma anagoides ; Astroconger myriaster into Conger myriaster ; Congrina retrotincta into Rhechias retrotincta and Rhynchocymba nystromi into Gnathophis nystromi nystromi. A Korean congrid eel, Ariosoma shiroanago shiroanago, was reported for first time in Korea. Intergeneric characters of the family Congridae were the form of the lateralline scales, the state of the tip of tail, the segmented state of the dorsal and anal fin rays, the existance of the supraoccipital bone and of lateral ethmoid process of the skull, the origin of dorsal fin and the forms of upper labial flange. The interspecific classification was made according to the characters such as the numbers of sensory pores of head part and in front of vent, teeth rows and numbers of upper and lower jaw, the numbers of vertebrae, the body color, the shapes of the head part, the color of intestine, the size of eye, the structure of air bladder and the number of branchiostegal rays. A new key on the taxonomical characteristics to the genera and species of the family Congridae has been estabilished and their distribution in Korea is described.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the meaning of of "Nikolai Garin - Mikhailovsky's the "Joseon tale". talks about the origins of the Joseon Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty. In this paper, we revealed the features of the form of "Otter Legend". And analyzed the confrontation between Nurhachi's family and Yi Seong-gye's family shown in the story. The result is as follows. is complex tale. The start of is 'the typr of Yaraeja'. Next is the story of Myoung-Dang. Myoung-Dang is deep in the water. also has anecdotes of Jeong, Chung-shin. rearranged at least three stories or more. transformed each type of stories, communing the different patterns of stories with different logic. The basic logic of the transformation was to maximize the confrontation between the NuruhachI and Yi Seong-gye clans, the origins of Manchuria and the Chosun Dynasty. As a result, the sacredness of Nurhachi's Family, the origin of the Qing Dynasty, was expanded. On the other hand, Yi Seong-gye s Family was less extraordinary than Nurhachi's Family. Also, the ability of the person is also inferior. This is not the yearning for the Qing Dynasty. This is because the Qing Dynasty and the Joseon have the same pedigree. shows that the Qing Dynasty's experiences should be shared since the Qing Dynasty was born of another clan of Joseon. This is a new perception of Qing Dynasty. This is similar to the interpretation that dragged the Qing Dynasty's history into the Joseon's ethnographic historical point of view.

This study investigates the funeral rituals practiced by the Joseon Dynasty as recorded about Lee Mun Geon (1494~1567, a.k.a Mukjae), who mourned by the grave of his deceased mother, Ms. Shin (1463~1535), a woman whose family's origin was Goryeon. The study focuse on the rituals performed by Lee after his mother's death, his participation in the funeral, and his mourning specifically as an individual who has lost his parent. Reviewing Lee's mourning life beside the grave, the contents of diary belonging to a nobleman in the middle of Joseon Dynasty were studied aimsing to find out the meaning of rituals, the overall recognition accorded to death, and the filial duties that were carried out by the noblemen of the time. Although noblemen in the middle of Joseon Dynasty ceaselessly attempted to change the observance of funeral rituals through legislation, it was difficult to change the mindset of the people, who fllowed the deep-rooted traditions of long history. It must be acknowledged that the Joseon Dynasty had a different cultural background than that of China. There was a fundamental problem when they tried to adapt The Family Rituals of Zhu Xi, followed by the Chinese, to the Joseon society. Although The Family Rituals of Zhu Xi emphasized ancestral rites focusing on enshrining mortuary tablets and the importance of establishing the family shrine hundred times, noblemen in the mid-Joseon Dynasty period cared for their parents in the grave by mourning for them than by following such practice. The solemn memorial service held in front of the grave, and the annual ritual service on the death anniversary were far more important to the noblemen in the mid-Joseon Dynasty. Amid such contradictions, the noblemen accepted and performed the mourning rituals beside the grave of their parent. Human beings across the ages have always dwelt upon thoughts of the afterlife. Most people believe that they attain a state after the death of their physicalbody. If humans did not have such thoughts, they would not be bothered if death occurs on being hit by a car on the street. Thus, human beings often think of the ritual services related to death, although in different forms. Therefore, mourning by the grave of their parent held great significance among the noblemen of the Joseon Dynasty as a sign of their filial piety.
Background: Hwa-Byung is known as a specific Korean cultural syndrome which corresponds to DSM-IV(MMPI). Some Korean women who have experienced heart aching anger(Hwa-Byung) complain physical pains as well as psychological problems. As for these physical pains, upper limb arthropathy(e.g. golf elbow pains, tennis elbow pains, or shoulder-joint pains) have not been paid attentions. In spite of not having done her excessive physical endeavor or exercise, some Korean middle aged women complain those arthropathy pains. And they go round orthopedics, pain clinics, and oriental medicine clinics. Purpose: This study was practiced in Severance Oriental Medicine Clinic. The oriental medicine doctor had a question about the major origin of upper limb pains which were not caused by excessive physical endeavor. To answer the question, this study has been practiced. In the process of interview with some those women, the major cause of those syndromes has been revealed as Hwa-Byung. The purpose of this study is to discover the meanings of the women's life who have been experienced Hwa-Byung with upper limb arthropathy. Results: These upper limb arthropathy can be explained by meridian theory. Shoulder-joint pain and golf elbow with Hwabyung can be explained by Heart meridian of hand-shoyin and the points of these pains are in the flow of this meridian. Tennis elbow with Hwabyung can be explained by Small intestine meridian of hand-taiyang and this point is in the flow of this meridian. The results of interview with 9 middle aged women was analyzed and interpreted according to Spradley's method of ethnography. The analysis revealed three core cultural themes : 1) There are certainly external cause to provoke Hwa-Byung. A patricentric family system, husband's playing around with another woman, cruel treatment by husband's family, or financial failure may be present anteriorly. 2) The chief existing condition is the discord between husband and wife. The stoppage of mutual communication, lacking in understanding, unfeeling, heartless, or unsympathetic is an major phenomenon of married life. So the important factor is not the sexual relations or problems but the discords of communication. 3) The feeling of anger, the sense of nihility, the desire to escape, and the effort to forgiveness coexist together. At a glance, they seemed to be a process. For example, anger seemed to present at first, then nihility seemed at second, then escape seemed at third, and then forgiveness seemed at last. But at point of visiting clinic to be treated, they are mixed up together as if in a jumble.
Dietary life is said to be consummated even to a phase of art from phase of survival, recognition, selection and preference. Recently, socio-economic environment is showing conspicuous changes in that there are increasing number of working couples nuclear family, old-age population, social activity and improvement of living standards. Such a change in the living environment has much impact on our dietary life. Particularly, an age when cake and cookies of western origin were all but strange is gradually phasing out, while it is deemed to be improper to overlook the fact that bread and cakes are solidifying their position as part of foodstuff meanies for on dietary life. Of cakes and cookies, cakes have come to enjoy a position whereby they are regarded as part of an imperative for family banquets, various get-together and birthday celebration, etc., with a significant improvement that caters to our taste vis-a-vis an stage of introduction of cakes. At the time when reined foreign bakeries, one after another , are contemplating to make an inroad into Korea, and when the distribution market is to be opened fully in July of 1993, Korea bakeries that have been building up their position within the domestic market are expected to face a considerable number of difficulties. Accordingly, under such circumstances of the time text we are in it is attempted in this study to map out measures that may contribute to the strengthening of the products of business enterprises and improvement of corporate image that may appeal to feeling and emotions of consumers packaging that could attain objectives, and package design planning that, as an important factor for playing its own share in the restoration of humanism that is being alienated, may appeal to consumer sensitivity, rather than packaging that is being utilized merely as tool designed for marketing

This study aims to explore the effects of the parenting education program for high-school maladjusted students. To this purpose, a parenting education program for adolescents developed by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family(MOGEF) was applied to ten high-school maladjusted students in an alternative(Dae-an) class in Jeju. Findings from class observations and interviews with participants are as follows. First, students with school maladjustment recognized importance and necessity of positive self-concepts and had an opportunity for self-growth through parenting education program. Second, students with school maladjustment obtained understanding about their family of origin and confidence for forming their future families. Third, advance learning about meanings and roles of being a parent provided students with opportunities to know importance of responsible sexual behavior. Fourth, practices of basic care with a replica of a new-born baby enhanced participation and concentration level of students with school maladjustment which became extremely effective in obtaining necessary knowledge for the basic care. Fifth, information provision for parent roles according to children's different developmental levels let students recognize that parent's roles change as their children grow and opened a way to grasp the need of parent education. Sixth, education and repetitive practices on reflective listening helped students enhance communication skills which entailed expanding their human relations. Seventh, passing-down of emotion and understanding on child abuse allowed students recognize risks of child abuse as well as the importance and need of skills for controlling emotion. This study sheds lights on the feasibility and effectiveness of a parenting education program for maladjusted or vulnerable students as an effective program for school drop-out prevention.
