가족중심 사례관리의 지역사회 체계구축을 위한 탐색적 연구 -건강가정지원센터와 다문화가족지원센터 적용을 중심으로- (An Exploratory Study of the Establishment of a Local Community System for Family-centered Case Management -Focused on the Application of a Healthy Families Center and a Multi-cultural Family Support Center-)

  • This aim in this study is to investigate the meaning of case management and management in general from the case manger's perspective, as well as case mangers' abilities and networks. We also propose a development direction for the establishment of a local integrated family-centered community management system. Regarding the collection of qualitative data, focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted with 11 case managers from social welfare organizations in the city of C. The interviews consisted of open-ended questions in the following four categories: understanding of case management, case managers' abilities, case management environments, and local community networks. According to the interview analysis, a total of 16 subcategories in 9 categories and 4 domains have been identified. Due to the ambiguity regarding the concept of case management, case management was completely dependent upon individual case managers' abilities. In particular, family-centered case management was found to exist in several organizations in the same region. In terms of case management environments, the following problems have been observed: absence of related departments and staff, confusion regarding performance evaluation standards, limitations in sharing information among organizations, limitations in resource exploration and management, redundant support, and an uncomfortable relationship between the private and public sector. Horizontal exchange and cooperation among organizations are essential to establish and facilitate a local community network. After all, to establish a local family-centered community case management system, the roles of a Healthy Families Center and a Multi-cultural Family Support Center as parts of a family-centered transfer system should be fully emphasized in local society, and the performance of family-centered case management should be developed.

Two Protagonists of "The Old Man and the Sea," Santiago and Manolin, Used as Metaphors for a Healthy Retirement Life of Husbands and Wives in Korean Society

  • In this paper, we examine the roles, mutual relationships, and guidelines for a healthy life as exemplified by the characters Santiago and Manolin in Ernest Hemingway's novel "The Old Man and the Sea" and use this content to compare the happy home life of elderly couples in Korea. Through a metaphorical exploration of the lives of elderly husbands and wives in Korean society, the study examines their significance as the core of the family, particularly during their senior years. Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea" portrays Santiago as a unique embodiment of virtue and humanity. As an elderly male fisherman, he symbolizes a profound connection with the sea, as well as qualities such as courage, patience, and unwavering passion. His story underscores the importance of pursuing new goals and maintaining hope even in old age. The relationship between Santiago and Manolin provides insights into the dynamics of elderly husbands and wives in their domestic lives. Manolin's unwavering support for Santiago and his understanding of Santiago's dreams exemplify the significance of mutual support and the establishment of common goals for elderly couples. These characters serve as exemplary models for understanding and supporting one another within a family setting. Within the context of family life, applying these exemplary models and relationship dynamics fosters mutual respect, collaboration, emotional expression, and effective communication. Supporting each other and working towards common goals can enhance the family atmosphere, resolve conflicts, and enrich domestic life. Furthermore, when elderly couples share common goals and enjoy activities together, they strengthen their bond and create a more fulfilling family life. These shared activities deepen the affection between elderly husbands and wives and contribute to a thriving household. Through the characters of Santiago and Manolin in "The Old Man and the Sea," we present in this study a deeper understanding of the values and roles within the domestic lives and affection of elderly husbands and wives. Mutual respect, collaboration, emotional expression, communication, mutual support, common goals, hope, and shared domestic activities all play pivotal roles in maintaining a healthy family life and establishing happiness and well-being within the family. We expect this study to offer valuable insights into the fields of family studies, elderly welfare, and sociology.

성인기 발달장애 자녀 어머니가 경험하는 돌봄 부담감에 따른 가족지원 방안 탐색 (An exploratory study on family support plan regarding caregiving burden experienced by mothers of adults with developmental disabilities)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 거듭 강조되고 있으나 여전히 어려움이 내재되어 있는 성인기 발달장애 자녀 어머니의 돌봄 부담감을 탐색하고, 이를 경감시키거나 완충할 수 있는 가족지원 방안을 논의하는데 있다. 이를 위해 B광역시에 소재하는 장애인복지관 2곳과 종합사회복지관 3곳의 장애인주간보호센터를 이용하는 성인기 발달장애 자녀 어머니 5명을 목적표집법으로 선정하여 개별 심층면담을 진행하였다. 면담자료 분석을 통하여 참여자가 경험하는 돌봄 부담감으로 자녀의 '제자리걸음을 맴도는 도전적 행동', '산 넘어 산과 같은 일상생활 관리의 어려움', '가족 기능 유지의 복병'이라는 3가지 대주제와 이에 따른 소주제 9개, 의미주제 19개를 유형화하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 성인기 발달장애 자녀와 그들 가족의 돌봄 부담감을 경감시킬 수 있는 정책적?실천적 가족지원 방안에 대해 논의하고 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

시설입소 치매부모를 돌보는 자녀들의 경험 (The Experience of Adult Korean Children Caring for Parents Institutionalized with Dementia)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore and describe the experience of adult Korean children who are caregivers for parents institutionalized with dementia. Methods: Participants were fourteen adult children caregivers of elders institutionalized with dementia. Data were collected through in-depth unstructured interviews with individual participants from August to November, 2012. Theoretical sampling was used to the point of theoretical saturation. Data were analyzed using Strauss and Corbin's Grounded Theory Method. Results: From open coding, 67 concepts, 29 sub-categories, and 14 categories were identified. Analysis revealed that the core category of the experience of adult children caring for their parents institutionalized with dementia was 'enduring the role of a prop' consisting of four phases: initial turmoil, exploration, role adjustment, and acclimation. To manage the role of a prop, participants utilized various action/interactional strategies such as overcoming the unfamiliarity, overseeing the nursing home care, and counterbalancing the caring roles. As a result, participants experienced ambivalence towards the existence of parents with dementia, changes in family relationships, altered viewpoint towards nursing homes, and restructuring of life. Conclusion: In-depth understanding of the experience will guide nurses to promote effective interventions in order to better support the Korean family caregivers of parents institutionalized with dementia.

영아 수학적 탐색활동 지원을 위한 구성주의 교사교육프로그램이 영아교사의 수학지도 관련 변인에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Constructivism-Based Teacher Education Program for Supporting Infant's Mathematical Inquiry Activity on Variables Related to Infant Teacher's Mathematics Teaching)

  • This study helps infant teachers practice a constructivism-based teacher education program that supports infant mathematical inquiry activities and examines improvements in mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiatives, mathematical interaction, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy. Twenty two experiment group infant teachers and twenty two comparison group infant teachers were chosen at two workforce educare centers. The experiment group infant teachers participated in 18 sessions of a constructivism teacher training program for 8 weeks, but the comparison group infant teachers did not take part in the program. Pretest and post-tests were implemented for the mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiatives, mathematical interactions, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy in the experiment group. Independent sample t-test and ANCOVA were tested using Windows SPSS statistics 21.0. The homogeneity test for the experiment and comparison group revealed significant differences. ANCOVA was carried out after the pretest score was controlled as a co-variance. Significant differences were indicated in mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiative, mathematical interaction, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy. The results indicated that a constructivism-based teacher education program to support infant mathematical inquiry activities influenced improvements in mathematical teaching knowledge, mathematical teaching initiative, mathematical interaction, constructivism belief and mathematical teaching efficacy. This study proved the effects of the program based on constructivism theory content for the knowledge, skills and attitude about infant teaching of mathematical initiatives and practiced a program of exploration, investigation, application and assessment for infant teachers. The results can help infant teachers teach mathematical exploration activities and help activate infant mathematical exploration activities.

모래놀이를 통해 본 정서·행동에 어려움이 있는 여중생의 내면세계의 변화 (The Change of the Internal World in Middle School Girls Having Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties by Exploring Their Sandplay)

  • Objective: Middle school girls who belonged to the concerned group in their school assessment were treated by sandplay for relieving their emotional and behavioral difficulties. The purpose of this study was to explore the change of the internal world of the girls through sandplay. Methods: Analytical psychology and sandplay theories were used for this exploration, especially Turner's (2005) content themes in sandplay. The participants were four first-grade girls. Pre-test measures, a 12-session sandplay program, and post-test measures were administered. Results: For the first girl, the initial phase was 1-6 (time trip), the intermediate phase was 7-9 (seeking for an inner island), and the final phase was 10-12 (seeking for a real stone). For the second girl, the initial phase was 1-5 (my heart was like cold weather), the intermediate phase was 6-10 (fallen, sick, and risen), and the final phase was 11-12 (trophy given to me). For the third girl, the initial phase was 1-5 (seeking for oasis), the intermediate phase was 6-10 (difficult trip for climbing with camel), and the final phase was 11-12 (discovering oasis). For the fourth girl, the initial phase was 1-3 (an island drowning shortly ), the intermediate phase was 4-10 (my unknowable mind), and the final phase was 11-12 (a tree growing well). Conclusion: This study showed psychological phenomena in the sandplay of four girls such as opposites and the union of masculinity and femininity as they explored their own identity. Drawing tests and counselling objects indicated positive changes; thus, these findings support the effectiveness of sandplay therapy for transforming the psyche of middle school girls.

중도입국 학교청소년의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인 탐색 (Exploration Factors Affecting Depression of Immigrant School-Adolescents)

  • 본 연구는 중도입국 청소년의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하였다. 우울의 영향요인을 분석하기 위해 가족요인, 학교요인, 다문화요인으로 구성하여 학교급별의 차이를 살펴보았다. 이를 위한 자료는 2015년 전국다문화가족실태조사를 활용하여 집단간 차이분석, 교차분석, 다중회귀분석을 하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 초등학생의 우울에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 학교폭력경험으로 나타났다. 중학생의 우울에는 다문화가족정체성이, 고등학생은 학교공부어려움이 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 모든 집단에서 우울에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인은 사회적 차별경험으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 중도입국 청소년들의 안정적인 정착을 위해서 연령에 따른 차별화된 지원이 필요함을 시사한다. 또한 사회적 차별경험은 우울을 증가시키는 요인으로 밝혀짐에 따라 우선적으로 학교환경에서의 적극적인 개입이 이루어져야 한다.

고등학생의 개인적·사회적요인, 학교진로교육 경험과 자기효능감이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 (The effects of personal, social factors, and school career experience on high school students' self-efficacy and career maturity)

  • 본 연구는 융복합연구로서 고등학생의 진로성숙도에 영향 미치는 요인을 살펴보고자 하였다. 2017년 5월 2일부터 12월 2일까지 대전 충청지역 소재 8개 고등학교 1~3학년 총 143명이 자기기입식 설문을 작성한 조사연구이다. 설문은 진로관련 개인적 요인, 사회적 요인, 학교진로교육 경험, 자기효능감과 진로성숙도를 포함하였다. 기술분석과 Pearson's 상관관계분석 및 회귀분석 등으로 분석하였다. 고등학생의 진로성숙도에는 진로에 대한 가족상담의 경험과 부모와의 관계가 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구결과에서 제시된 것처럼 고등학생의 진로선택을 위한 진로교육프로그램에는 부모가 자녀의 진로탐색에 상담과 지원을 제공할 수 있도록 부모를 포함시켜야 하고, 자기효능감을 향상시켜 궁극적으로 진로성숙도를 높일 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

저소득층의 디스트레스에 따른 전문가 도움추구의 결정에 영향을 미치는 개인 및 사회인지 요인들의 관계구조 탐색 (Exploration of the Relationship Structure of Personal and Social Cognitive Factors Affecting Professional Help-seeking Decisions for Distress among People in Low-income)

  • 이 연구는 저소득층이 디스트레스를 완화하기 위해 사회복지사를 비롯한 전문가로부터 도움을 추구하고자 결정하는 데 기여하는 개인 및 사회인지 요인들의 구조를 살펴보고 보다 적절한 모형을 선정하여 사회복지실천에 유용한 지식을 얻고자 하였다. 편의표집에 의한 저소득층 331명의 자료를 구조방정식모형으로 계획행동이론(TPB)을 응용한 기본모형과 확장된 모형 두 단계로 분석하였다. 우선 TPB 기본모형의 분석을 통해 사회인식을 반영하는 주관적 규범, 도움추구에 대한 긍정적 태도, 자신의 행동통제력 순서로 추구의도에 정적으로 기여하고 다시 의도는 추구결정에 정적인 기여를, 행동통제력은 추구결정에 부적 기여를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 다음 단계로, 디스트레스와 가족지지의 영향을 포함하고 합리적 행동계획인 의도(intention)와 함께 상황에 대한 반응으로서 자진 추구의사(willingness) 경로를 포함하여 확장한 모형을 탐색적으로 검토하였다. 확장모형의 경로분석에서 디스트레스와 가족 지지 각각은 도움추구에 대한 태도, 주관적 규범, 행동통제력에 상당한 수준으로 정적 영향을 주었다. 태도와 주관적 규범은 추구의도와 의사 각각에 유의한 정적 영향을, 행동통제력은 추구의사에 정적 영향을, 추구결정에는 부적 영향을, 그리고 의도는 추구결정에 정적인 직접효과를 보였다. 행동통제력이 추구의사를 통해 추구의도에 미치는 간접효과와 추구의사가 의도를 통해 추구결정에 미치는 간접효과가 유의하였다. 이러한 결과들은 TPB 모형이 저소득층의 전문가 도움추구와 관련되는 개인 및 사회인지 요인들의 관계구조 파악에 유용함을 시사하였고, 특히 주관적 규범의 영향력을 통해 사회인지의 중요성이 함의되었다. 나아가 저소득층의 특수성을 살릴 수 있는 확장모형의 필요성과 함께 행동통제력과 자진 추구의사가 시사하는 클라이언트의 자기의지의 중요성과 활용 등 사회복지실천을 위한 함의를 제시하였다.

한국인 자폐 스펙트럼장애에서 Tryptophan 2,3 Dioxygenase(TDO2)유전자 다형성-가족 기반 연구 (Family-Based Association Study of Tryptophan-2,3 Dioxygenase(TDO2) Gene and Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Korean Population)

  • Objectives: Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental spectrum disorder with a strong genetic component. Previous neurochemical and genetic studies have suggested the possible involvement of the serotonin system in autism. Tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase(TDO2) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the catabolism of tryptophan, which is the precursor of serotonin synthesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the TDO2 gene and autism spectrum disorders(ASD) in a Korean population. Methods: The patients were diagnosed with ASD on the basis of the DSM-IV diagnostic classification outlined in the Korean version of the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule. The present study included the detection of four single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in the TDO2 gene(rs2292536, rs6856558, rs6830072, rs6830800) and the family-based association analysis of the single nucleotide polymorphisms in Korean ASD trios using a transmission disequilibrium test(TDT) and haplotype analysis. The family trios of 136 probands were included in analysis. 87.5% were male and 86.0% were diagnosed with autism. The mean age of the probands was $78.5{\pm}35.8$ months(range: 26-264 months). Results: Two SNPs showed no polymorphism, and there was no significant difference in transmission in the other two SNPs. We also could not find any significant transmission in the haplotype analysis(p>.05). Conclusion: We could not find any significant statistical association between the transmission of SNPs in the TDO2 gene and ASD in a Korean population. This result may not support the possible involvement of the TDO2 gene in the development of ASD, and further exploration might be needed to investigate other plausible SNP sites.
