This study reviews a family-friendly system of companies from the viewpoint of family resource management. The concept of a family-friendly system in the workplace means that the strategy 'supports the family' or 'is sensitive to the family life' and recognizes a need for balance between work and family. The suggestions proposed in this study were as follows: First, the direction of a family-friendly system must reflect the needs of the family members positively and recognize diversity. Second, it must consider efficient methods relating to the matter of the gender because a corporate culture enabling men to use childcare leave has not grown, even in family companies. Third, the directions to check the present developing process of our society and to develop the suitable way to each company must be shown. This study has proposed that the subjects must solve immediately in the future with understanding the contents and looking around the status of the enforcement at the inside and outside of the country for a family-friendly system to handle the balance between work and family in the workplace. The problems were the context of the introductions and the results of balancing between work and family no matter whether the introduction of the system by company or not.

The purpose of this study is to develop the education program for a healthy family support center. This will be a representative program which will differ from the education programs of other welfare centers. This study suggests 11 themes based on the elements of a healthy family. These programs aim to prevent and solve family problems. The 11 themes are as follows: family values, family relations 1 and 2 (couple/parent-children), parent coaching 1 and 2, family culture, resource management, multi-cultural families, working families, family volunteerism, and family consulting. This study focuses on creating a frame for this program which is integrated, systematic, and flexible. It also develops both family diagnosis sheets and educational content about various aspects of family life. Thus, this can be a core program which allows networking with other programs.

The purpose of this study was to analyze financial management and satisfaction of the elderly households using System’s Approach. 1) Financial management behavior was influenced by age, present job, husband’s job before retirement, assets, family income, living expenses, experiences of financial management. 2) Financial satisfaction was influenced by age, present job, husband’s job before retirement, assets, family income, living expenses, experiences of financial management, and assessment of family financial conditions. 3) The result of regression analysis of input variables on the throughput variable showed that age of respondent and the middle age experiences of financial management emerged as predictors of financial management. There variables accounted for 48% of variance in the financial management behavior. 4) When financial satisfaction was regressed against input and throughput variables, 55% of the total variance of the financial satisfaction was explained by financial goal and assessment of family conditions.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the trends of saving rates in households (1982-1998). That has increased approximately 50% in all classes and have changed in according to economic development, price indices and economic situations. Demographic characteristics such as income, age and number of family members were the variables which show the differences in saving rates.

This paper gropes for advisable home management principle, named “philosophy of household management(PHM)”, which is presented to home managers. Philosophical thought about household can give fundamental under-standing about family circumstances. So home manager can get better judgement about family things and house affairs. In that sense, this paper is expected to provide family members with the ground of thought: how to help each members’ self-completion, to make better relationship among family members as well as between families and society, and to manage all environmental resources. As the paper researches new field of home management, it presents academic significant of PHM. Then, it explains why ‘Han consciouseness’-the native philosophy of Korea-is adequate for foundation theory of PHM, and what ‘Han philosophy’is. In conclusion, the paper argues necessity of view for home management, and discusses (1) view of human being, (2) view of economic activity, and (3) view of natural environment as family resources.

The purpose of this study was to develop an educational program of leadership for housewives as the CEO of household management. For this purpose, the related concepts of leadership as CEO were analyzed and cases on the educational program for housewives were reviewed. The program developed through this study consists of four subjects: 1. The housewives' identity 2. Household management and the CEO 3. The strategies for the development of leadership and 4. The connection between the individual household, the community, and society. It can be expected that the program will contribute to the activation of various programs in the Healthy Families Center and the strong positioning of research in "family resource management" as a practical science.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influential degree of the family financial management ability and the financial satisfaction by objective and subjective variables, as focusing theoretical concept on the family financial management ability which will influence on the financial satisfaction. The major findings are an follows. (1) The average score of the family financial management ability of urban housewives is 3.49, that is relatively higher than those of the financial satisfaction was 2.76. (2) It showed that ability of family management ability of housewives influence on the financial satisfaction. The planning and achievable ability showed also same tendency. (3) The result of the analysis for the most influential variables for the financial satisfaction was the housewives’subjective variables.

This study suggests policies to rearrange the status of Health Family Support Centers, targeting hands-on workers and centering on collected problems and improvements. To attain this aim, the study rearranged the materials investigated in 2009. On this basis, the study suggests the following policies. First, Health Family Support Centers changed into Korean Institute Healthy family which could prepare a means for opinion convergence through base organizations. Thus, it is necessary to establish a Gyeonggi-do wide area Health Family Support Center. Second, space and human resource arrangement, suitable to business, are necessary, and so are stable, secure finances. Third, urban areas, agricultural villages, and fishing villages are distributed across Gyeonggi-do. Thus, the development of specialized business, suitable to Gyeonggi-do, is necessary. Consequently, this study suggests executing obligatory family education (education for engaged couples, education for parents). Fourth, case management models, unique to Health Family Support Centers, have to be developed, as well as unified services related to education, counseling, and cultural businesses. Fifth, the Health Family Support Center has to secure its own status as a hub organization of inter-regional family businesses, has to strengthen its organizational identity, and has to promote suitable business development.

The purpose of study was to improve the quality of the Family Welfare Service in Korea. For the purpose, this study consists of these main subjects. A analysis about the experience and satisfaction of the family life welfare services. And a analysis about the Needs of family life welfare services. The data was collected from 407 low-income families experienced of family life welfare service. The results are as follows They experienced more less $40\%$ of the family life welfare service. It appeared family life welfare service in Korea was still not 'for the family' but 'of the family'. The most of the them experienced or family lire welfare service did not satisfy about services. They hoped to set the family lire welfare services about housing, elderly-care, child-care, job opportunity.
