  • Recently, false reports to governmental offices such as police stations have not been decreased. As a result, if a violent crime or a fire occurs that needs to be promptly responded to and reacted to these accidents in real time, it may lead to serious results such as loss of life. Also, the waste of police enforcement and administration due to false reporting can cause serious problems. In this paper, we try to clarify the difference between the actual and false reports based on the actual sound sources which were reported to the police stations. In addition, we will intend to develop a false report discrimination system that can identifies false reports and actual reports based on this.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the problems related to the amendment and preservation of the lien system and to suggest a feasible and efficient improvement plan. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and descriptive statistical analyses were used in this study. The survey subjects were divided into three groups based on their expertise: "Administrative Experts, Practical Experts, and Financial Institution Experts" and compared to find the results. The results show that 1) the procedural aspect was the most important for the large classification, 2) the supplementary disclosure system was the most important for the legislative aspect, and 3) the supplementation of the abuse of the lien report was the most important for the intermediate classification. Furthermore, the study showed that the most important finding was the reinforcement of punishment for the right of false reporting and illegal acts, followed by the registration order system (the creditor alone application), and the registration system (bond, debtor, joint application). The implications and suggestions of this study are as followed. With regard to the current lien system, illegal acts such as false liens and the misuse of multiple reporting were considered as the biggest problems. In terms of the effective improvement plan of the lien system, the misuse of reporting liens and improvement in the procedural aspects of reporting rights should be given top priority. Therefore, the most important course of action is to strengthen the punishment for false liens, improve the disclosure system and make it mandatory to report rights.

  • Since wireless sensor networks are deployed in open environments, an attacker can physically capture some sensor nodes. Using information of compromised nodes, an attacker can launch false data injection attacks that report nonexistent events. False data can cause false alarms and draining the limited energy resources of the forwarding nodes. In order to detect and discard such false data during the forwarding process, various security solutions have been proposed. But since they are prevention-based solutions that involve additional operations, they would be energy-inefficient if the corresponding attacks are not launched. In this paper, we propose a detection method that can detect false data injection attacks without extra overheads. The proposed method is designed based on the signature of false data injection attacks that has been derived through simulation. The proposed method detects the attacks based on the number of reporting nodes, the correctness of the reports, and the variation in the number of the nodes for each event. We show the proposed method can detect a large portion of attacks through simulation.

  • The Purpose of this study is to search for ways to improve the police-related emergency reporting service through the analysis of its actual condition - focusing 112 emergency reporting & 122 emergency reporting. For this purpose, the main data related to police-related emergency reporting required for inspection of the administration conducted by the National Assembly in 2013 is utilized. The actual condition of the police-related emergency reporting service is examined in 3 aspects - the number of reported cases by reporting type, the number of police response, and the average arrival time. The principal analysis results of the actual condition revealed that 112 emergency reporting is increasing and 122 emergency reporting oscillates between increases and decreases in the total number of reported cases, the number of non-emergency reporting is increasing in both 112 and 122 reported cases, the number of prank call is high in 122 reported cases, the rate of other agency transmit($122{\rightarrow}112$) is higher than 12% in 122 reported cases, and the number of police response and the average arrival time are decreasing in 112 reported cases. To improve the police-related emergency reporting, based on the above actual condition, the followings are required: to operate dualistic police-related response; to publicize a police-related reporting service; to take stern measures against false report; to make continuous improvement of the police-related emergency reporting system.

  • Black and gray hole attack is one kind of routing disturbing attacks and can bring great damage to the network. As a result, an efficient algorithm to detect black and gray attack is important. This paper demonstrate an adaptive approach to detecting black and gray hole attacks in ad hoc network based on a cross layer design. In network layer, we proposed a path-based method to overhear the next hop's action. This scheme does not send out extra control packets and saves the system resources of the detecting node. In MAC layer, a collision rate reporting system is established to estimate dynamic detecting threshold so as to lower the false positive rate under high network overload. We choose DSR protocol to test our algorithm and ns-2 as our simulation tool. Our experiment result verifies our theory: the average detection rate is above 90% and the false positive rate is below 10%. Moreover, the adaptive threshold strategy contributes to decrease the false positive rate.

  • In wireless sensor networks, a compromised sensor node can inject false data during data aggregation. Existing solutions of securing data aggregation require high communication cost in securing data aggregation. In this paper, we propose a monitoring-based secure data aggregation protocol that minimizes communication cost of identifying the location of false data injection attacks. The main idea is that when monitoring nodes find an injected false data, their reporting messages along with Message Authentication Codes (MACs) are summarized in a single message before sending it to the Base Station (BS). Then the BS identifies the attacking node. The simulation shows that energy consumption of the proposed protocol with short and normal concatenations of MACs are 45% and 36% lower than that of an existing protocol, respectively.

  • OBJECTIVE: False negatives of cervical smears due to screening errors pose a significant and persistent problem. AutoPap 300 QC System, an automated screening device, is designed to rescreen conventionally prepared Pap smears initially screened by cytotechnologists as normal. Clinical experience and sensitivity of the AutoPap 300 QC System were assessed and compared with current 10% random qualify control technique. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In clinical practice, a total of 18,592 "within normal limits" or "benign cellular changes" cases classified by The Bethesda System were rescreened by the Autopap System. In study for sensitivity of The AutoPap System to detect false negatives, a total of 1,680 "within normal limits" or "benign cellular changes" cases were rescreened both manually and by the AutoPap System. The sensitivity of the AutoPap System to these false negatives was assessed at 10% review rate to compare 10% random manual rescreen. RESULTS: In clinical practice, 38 false negatives were identified by the AutoPap System and we had achieved 0.2% reduction in the false negative rate of screening error. In study for sensitivity, 37 false negatives were identified by manual rescreening, and 23 cases(62.2%) of the abnormal squamous cytology were detected by the AutoPap System at 10% review rate. CONCLUSONS: The AutoPap 300 QC System is a sensitive automated rescreening device that can detect potential false negatives prior to reporting and can reduce false negative rates in the laboratory. The device is confirmed to be about eight times superior to the 10% random rescreen in detecting false negatives.
