  • Today, phishing attacks represent one of the biggest security threats targeting users of the digital world. They consist of an attempt to steal sensitive information, such as a user's identity or credit and debit card details, using various methods that include fake emails, fake websites, and fake social media messages. Protecting the user's security and privacy therefore becomes complex, especially when those users are children. Currently, children are participating in Internet activity more frequently than ever before. This activity includes, for example, online gaming, communication, and schoolwork. However, children tend to have a less well-developed knowledge of privacy and security concepts, compared to adults. Consequently, they often become victims of cybercrime. In this paper, the effects of security awareness on users who are children are investigated, looking at their ability to detect phishing attacks in social media. In this approach, two Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of security awareness on WhatsApp application users in their daily communication. The results of the Experiments revealed that phishing awareness training has a significant positive effect on the ability of children using WhatsApp to identify phishing messages and thereby avoid attacks.

  • This study examined information sharing and evaluation as determinants of the spread of fake news among Nigerian youths on social media using experience from COVID-19 pandemic. A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study and a Web-based questionnaire (Google Forms) was used to collect data for the study. The total responses of 278 were collected from the participants, which represents the unit of analysis. The finding of the study revealed that most Nigerian youths used Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Instagram to share information on COVID-19. However, only a few Nigerians used Linkedln and other types of social media to share information on COVID-19. It was also found that building a relationship with social media communities, enjoyment and risk taking, and political inclination influence the sharing behavior of Nigerian youths during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results show that social media handle/page found sharing of fake news on COVID-19 especially on the treatment, vaccines numbers of cases and symptoms. The study concludes that there is a positive relationship between information evaluation and the spreading of fake news on COVID-19 among Nigerians. Information sharing and evaluation should be done with the utmost level of objectivity and sincerity.

  • It is really hard to find an infant's App, especially for the age under 5, even though there are lots of Apps developed and distributed nowadays. The selection of the proper infant's App is difficult since the infants' App should be useful, safe and helpful for the development of their intelligence. In this research, we design the useful infant's App for the development of their intelligence by applying the AI technology for increasing the learning effect in order to satisfy the characteristics of the infants' needs. A proposed App is the collection of interesting games for infants such as picture puzzle game, coloring shapes game, pasting stickers game, and fake mobile phone feature enables them to play interesting phone game. Furthermore, the proposed App is also designed to collect and analyze the log information generated while they are playing games, share and compare with other infants' log information to increase the learning effect. After then, it figures out and learns their game tendency, intelligibility, workmanship, and apply them to the next game in order to increase their interests and concentration of the game.

  • Although the number of smartphone users is continuously increasing due to the advantage of being able to easily use most of the Internet services, the number of counterfeit applications is rapidly increasing and personal information stored in the smartphone is leaked to the outside. Because Android app was developed with Java language, it is relatively easy to create counterfeit apps if attacker performs the de-compilation process to reverse app by abusing the repackaging vulnerability. Although an obfuscation technique can be applied to prevent this, but most mobile apps are not adopted. Therefore, it is fundamentally impossible to block repackaging attacks on Android mobile apps. In addition, personal information stored in the smartphone is leaked outside because it does not provide a forgery self-verification procedure on installing an app in smartphone. In order to solve this problem, blockchain is used to implement a process of certificated application registration and a fake app identification and detection mechanism is proposed on Hyperledger Fabric framework.

  • Google Play is one of the largest Android phone app markets and it contains both free and paid apps. It provides a variety of categories for every target user who has different needs and purposes. The customer's rate every product based on their experience of apps and based on the average rating the position of an app in these arch varies. Fraudulent behaviors emerge in those apps which incorporate search rank maltreatment and malware proliferation. To distinguish the fraudulent behavior, a novel framework is structured that finds and uses follows left behind by fraudsters, to identify both malware and applications exposed to the search rank fraud method. This strategy correlates survey exercises and remarkably joins identified review relations with semantic and behavioral signals produced from Google Play application information, to distinguish dubious applications. The proposed model accomplishes 90% precision in grouping gathered informational indexes of malware, fakes, and authentic apps. It finds many fraudulent applications that right now avoid Google Bouncers recognition technology. It also helped the discovery of fake reviews using the reviewer relationship amount of reviews which are forced as positive reviews for each reviewed Google play the android app.

  • Android apps are mostly distributed as an apk files, and when the apk file is uncompressed, resource files such as xml files, images, and sounds related to app design can be extracted. If the resources of banking or finance-related apps are stolen and fake apps are distributed, personal information could be stolen or financial fraud may occur. Therefore, it is necessary to make it difficult to steal the design as well as the code when distributing the app. In this paper, we implemented a tool to convert the xml file into Java code and obfuscate using the Proguard, and evaluated the execution performance. If the layout obfuscation technique proposed in this paper is used, it is expected that the app operation performance can be improved and the illegal copying damage caused by the theft of the screen design can be prevented.

  • To prevent problems such as portrait rights, copyright, and cyber violence, an ethics education STEAM projects using deepfake apps using AI technology were developed and applied. The Deepfake apps were screened, and the contents of the elementary school curriculum were reconstructed. The STEAM project as creative experiential activities was mainly operated by the UCC activities, and applied the info-ethics awareness measurement test based on the planned behavior theory. The social STEAM project as money (financial) education was qualitatively analyzed. It was found that this STEAM classes using AI technology app significantly enhances the ethical awareness of information communication.
