Failover subsystem of computer consists four modes In this paper, These modes will be discussed in more detail. - dual computer mode - failover mode - single computer mode - standby synchronization mode we have suggested the method of dual/redunancy configulation of server computer. Failover is activated by the standby computer, active computer receives a failover request across the inter-computer link immediatly. The active computer controls the scada system and maintains the current state in it's data base and channel system safety.
Distributed Control System (DCS) communication networks, which use Fast Ethernet with redundant networks for the transmission of information, have been installed in digitalized nuclear power plants. Normally, failover tests are performed to verify the reliability of redundant networks during design and manufacturing phases; however, systematic integrity tests of DCS networks cannot be fully performed during these phases because all relevant equipment is not installed completely during these two phases. In additions, practical verification tests are insufficient, and there is a need to test the actual failover function of DCS redundant networks in the target environment. The purpose of this study is to verify that the failover functions works correctly in certain abnormal conditions during installation and commissioning phase and identify the influence of network failover on the entire DCS. To quantify the effects of network failover in the DCS, the packets (Protocol Data Units) must be collected and resource usage of the system has to be monitored and analyzed. This study introduces the use of a new methodology for verification of DCS network failover during the installation and commissioning phases. This study is expected to provide insight into verification methodology and the failover effects from DCS redundant networks. It also provides test results of network performance from DCS network failover in digitalized domestic nuclear power plants (NPPs).
High availability and reliability have been considered promising requirements for the support of seamless network services such as real-time video streaming, gaming, and virtual and augmented reality. Increased availability can be achieved within a local area network with the use of the virtual router redundancy protocol that utilizes backup routers to provide a backup path in the case of a master router failure. However, the network may still lose a large number of packets during a failover owing to a late failure detections and lazy responses. To achieve an efficient failover, we propose the implementation of fast detection with virtual router redundancy protocol (FDVRRP) in which the backup router quickly detects a link failure and immediately serves as the master router. We implemented the FDVRRP using open neutralized network operating system (OpenN2OS), which is an open-source-based network operating system. Based on the failover performance test of OpenN2OS, we verified that the FDVRRP exhibits a very fast failure detection and a failover with low-overhead packets.

CCTV video recording system is recognized as evidence value of video data, and is widely used in real life for the purpose of security of facilities or security control, and it is developing in order to process high-resolution and high-capacity data in real time through network. However, there is no description of redundancy to prevent the loss of image data due to defects of unexpected equipment or external attack, and even if the redundancy is implemented, a high-capacity video stream is transmitted through the network, network overload can not avoided. In this paper, we propose and verify a failover method based on rules that can operate the redundancy scheme without inducing network overload in CCTV network video recording environment.
This paper proposes a software defined storaging method to converge the network virtualization technique and the RAID of distributed storage environment. The proposed method designs software based storage which it apply a flexible control and maintenance of storages. In addition, the method overcomes the restricted of physical storage capacity and cut costs of data recovery. The proposed failover recovery technique based on Software-Defined RAID has been tested the substantial verification and the performance using public AWS and Google Storage.

With the development of smart on-devices and communication technology, demand for non-stop services is increasing. Therefore, the high availability for continuously providing services in the event of system failure has been spotlighted. Meanwhile, because most internet-based services are provided by using TCP, an efficient TCP session recovery technique for providing non-stop services is required. However, the existing TCP session recovery techniques are inefficient because it has a high recovery cost or does not support failover operation, To solve these problems, in this paper, we propose a TCP session recovery technique for high availability in smart on-devices. For this, we first recover the TCP session without re-establish the TCP session by correcting a sequence number and a acknowledgment number. Second, we synchronize the TCP session recovery data between the master and the server, and then we operate the failover operation when master server fails. Finally, we provide the non-stop service to peer by using the virtual IP number and the transmission of GARP (Gratuitous ARP) packet.
Due to the strict requirements of emerging applications, per-flow admission control is gaining increasing importance. One way to implement per-flow admission control is using an onpath resource reservation protocol, where the admission decision is made hop-by-hop after a new flow request arrives at the network boundary. The next-steps in signaling (NSIS) working group of the Internet engineering task force (IETF) is standardising such an on-path signaling protocol. One of the reservation methods considered by NSIS is reduced-state mode, which, suiting the differentiated service (DiffServ) concept, only allows per-class states in interior nodes of a domain. Although there are clear benefits of not dealing with per-flow states in interior nodes-like scalability and low complexity-, without per-flow states the handling of re-routed flows, e.g., after a failure, is a demanding and highly non-trivial task. To be applied in carrier-grade networks, the protocol needs to be resilient in this situation. In this article, we will explain the consequences of a route failover to resource reservation protocols: Severe congestion and incorrect admission decisions due to outdated reservation states. We will set requirements that handling solutions need to fulfill, and we propose extensions to reduced-state protocols accordingly. We show with a set of simulated scenarios that with the given solutions reduced-state protocols can handle re-routed flows practically as fast and robust as stateful protocols.
The high availability of information security system shall be primarily studied in relation to the Next Generation Network(NGN) Information Security infrastructure, because it is very important to maintain availability at each moment as a variety of intrusions occur continuously. The high availability of the security system can be realized with the topology and configuration properly defined to fully utilize the recovery function of the security system in the thoroughly planned optimized method. The active-active high availability on the NGN information security infrastructure system in is assured by letting the failover mechanism operate upon the entire structure through the structural design and the implementation of functions. The proposed method reduces the system overload rating due to trouble packets and improves the status of connection by SNMP polling trap and the ICMP transport factor by ping packet.

In this paper, we analyze a technique for building a high-availability (HA) cluster system. We propose what we have termed the 'Selective Replication Manager (SRM),' which improves the throughput performance and reduces the latency of disk devices by means of a Distributed Replicated Block Device (DRBD), which is integrated in the recent Linux Kernel (version 2.6.33 or higher) and that still provides HA and failover capabilities. The proposed technique can be applied to any disk replication and database system with little customization and with a reasonably low performance overhead. We demonstrate that this approach using SRM increases the disk replication speed and reduces latency by 17% and 7%, respectively, as compared to the existing DRBD solution. This approach represents a good effort to increase HA with a minimum amount of risk and cost in terms of commodity hardware.

This paper describes the development of cluster-aware application that provides advanced services such as automatic failover, faster error recovery, easy administration and scalability in clustering environment. For These, total system architecture and algorithm are proposed. For the verification this paper, socket application and cluster resource DLL, administration DLL for the application are implemented and tested. Using the microsoft cluster server, The individual failed services was relocated from one server to another. The result shows that allows applications on the original server to continue running, unaffected tv the failed service.
