  • Presently, safety management of facilities is conducted as a site-oriented safety inspection, but depending on the facilities, there are difficulties in access to the site, and the cost and time of inspection are inefficient due to excessive reliance on human resources. Therefore, the necessity of sensor-based safety management is being raised to ensure the safety of the facility at all times, and various studies on sensor safety management are being conducted, but the research on verification of practicality is still insufficient. Therefore, the improvement points were presented through analysis of domestic and international studies, and additional processes for setting sensor attachment location and threshold were derived by analyzing the H city sensor safety management process, and practicality of sensor safety management was verified through sensor data measurement values. It is expected that efficient, sensor-based facility safety management will be possible if clear criteria and ongoing practicality verification for the additional processes presented in this study should be carried out in the future.

  • This study investigates application cases of facility management system model for enhancing facility productivity of industry filed around medium and small facility processing companies and finds the inefficiency of the existing management model. Following items are researched to seek out methods and measures to maximize facility productivity through empirical analysis by exploring and establishing a new management model. First, the empirical analysis, it is found that the overall equipment efficiency index used for facility productivity management in the companies has a difficulty being used as the index for it in actual medium-small processing companies. Second, a new facility management system model applying standard cycle time is suggested among facility management index system to measure facility productivity. Third, the empirical analysis is used to verify that developed facility management system model is a useful method to manage the facility productivity by applying the model to actual medium-small processing companies. Finally, it is necessary to implement comparison analysis on whether actual productivity enhancement induces a distinctly different result by using a new facility management index system model to be inhibited in this study.

This study is to review legal status of children's swimming pool in Korea and to discuss the related legal issues for safety management of children's swimming pool. Research design, data, and methodology: The study reviewed law and clauses for sport facility management and related legal clauses with chilren's swimming pool management, and sport facility-related articles. Results: Safety management of children's swimming pool should currently follow law for sport and physical education facility management because of no its own legal norm for children's swimming pool. Given this, specific law and clauses for children's pool management need to be legislated to prevent risks for children and to satisfy specific safety factors considering careless behavior of children. Conclusions: Regarding this, the study points out five suggestions. First, law should be established to make notification of safety rules mandatory and this notification should be placed in the pool. This notification would be better effective if it is visualized. Second, according to law, safety 7 rules of children' s swimming pool need to be legistrated and educated for pool managers to obey them. Pool managers could also add their own rules to the 7 rules. Finally, preparation of emergency kits and safety devices need to be mandatory in the pool. Further implications were discussed.

  • According to "Special law for the safety management of facilities", facilities of group 1 and 2 which are larger than a specified size should be examined periodically by experts. In addition, the other ones not belonging to the group 1 and 2 should be also managed in accordance with "Basic law for the management of disaster and safety" by the facility managers. However, there are many cases that these regulations are not kept in the field of safety management because most of safety management work has been done manually without a formal procedure. The purpose of this research is to develop an facility safety management system based on the National Geographic Information System(NGIS) which can integrates and manages the facility safety management information. The final system integrates the information which is related to several laws and distributed among several organizations.
