Sorption experiments of $^{60}$ Co, $^{85}$ Sr. and $^{137}$ Cs onto sandstone particles in a batch were carried out to investigate the migration mobility. Sorption kinetics and reversibility as well as sorption mechanisms were examined. Sorption reaction occurred mostly within 10 hours on the outer surface of the sandstone particle but diffusion into the inner surface of the mineral has still occurred after that time. In order to distinguish sorption types of radionuclides, a sequential chemical extraction was introduced. The sorbed radionuclides were then extracted by applying different solutions of synthetic groundwater, CaCl$_2$, KCl and KOX-HA Especially KCl is adopted to extract the ion-exchanged cesium. Sorption types considered are reversible sorption under groundwater condition, ion exchange, association with ferro-manganese oxides or oxyhydroxides, and irreversible fixation. Strontium sorbs onto the sandstone surface mainly by fast and reversible ion exchange reaction. However, cobalt and cesium do not sorb by simple process. The main sorptive binding of cobalt was the association with ferro-manganese oxides and the secondary one was irreversible fixation. Diffusion into the lattice of minerals controlled the sorption rate of cobalt The main sorptin type of cesium was irreversible fixation, while ion exchange reaction was the secondary importance. Hence the oreder of migration mobility for the three radionuclides was Sr$^{2+}$ > Co$^{2+}$ > Cs$^{+}$ in the sandstones.
The optimum condition for phenolics contents extraction from purple sweet potato was 12 hrs. in 50% ethanol. The electron donating scavenging activities (DPPH), ABTS radical cation decolorization (ABTS) and antioxidant protection factor (PF) of Jami, Yeonjami and Shinjami were higher than general sweet potato, and thiobarbituric acid reaction substance (TBARs) was below 30%. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli on skin were each 5,000 and 2,500 ppm in all purple sweet potatoes, and MIC of Jami was the lowest as 2,500 ppm against Staphlococcus epidermidis. The whitening (tyrosinase inhibitory) activity of purple sweet potatoes was the highest as 62.5% and 48.7% in Jami water and ethanol extracts. The anti-inflammation (hyaluronidase inhibitory) activity of purple sweet potatoes was the highest as 25.3% and 94.4% in Jami water and ethanol extracts. The safety of cosmetic with Jam; extracts was assessed by various safety profiles. pH and viscosity change of essence for 90 days was not detected. Cosmetic was stable to temperature and light for 90 days. The result to measure changes of skin color and pore size of the skin was that an aged skin was more effective than young skin.
We investigated the antioxidative effects of solvent extracts of doenjang fermented using Bacillus subtilis DJI (DJI doenjang) in vitro. The solvents used for extraction were ethanol, n-hexane, and water. The antioxidative activities of DJI doenjang solvent extracts were measured by estimation of peroxide value, the presence of linoleic acid level, and nitrite scavenging activity, the Rancimat test, and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) free-radical generation, in comparison with the commercial antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). The peroxide value of an ethanol extract was lower than those obtained using n-hexane and water extracts. Furthermore, the peroxide value of the ethanol extract was similar to that obtained after BHT treatment. The nitrite scavenging activity was 23.36% after addition of 600 ppm DJI doenjang ethanol extract, and the DPPH free-radical scavenging activity was 19.06% under same condition, which shows that DJI doenjang ethanol extract exhibited lower antioxidative capacities than did BHT. In the Rancimat test, the ethanol extract (11.20 min induction time), n-hexane extract (7.58 min induction time), and water extract (8.26 min induction time) after treatment with 600 ppm DJI doenjang extracts demonstrated longer induction periods than did BHT (6.94 min). These results indicate that DJI doenjang has potential anti-oxidative activity.

Angelica tenuissima, also known as Ligusticum tenuissimum, is classified as a food-related plant and has been used as traditional medicines treating headache and anemia in Asia. However, its anti-melanogenic effect has not been reported in detail. When the extract of Angelica tenuissima (ATE) was prepared by the extraction with 70% EtOH at $80^{\circ}C$ (final yield = 22%), the contents of decursin and Z-ligustilide in ATE were determined 0.06% and 8.43%, respectively. Total flavonoid and phenolic content in mg ATE were $5.52{\pm}0.07{\mu}g$ quercetin equivalents and $237.27{\pm}13.24{\mu}g$ gallic acid equivalents, respectively. Antioxidant capacity of ATE determined by DPPH and ABTS assay was increased with a dose dependent manner up to $1000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. The amount of melanin synthesis followed by ${\alpha}-melanocyte$ stimulating hormone on B16F10 cells were significantly reduced in the presence of ATE (250 to $1000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, p<0.05). ATE (125 to $1000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, p<0.05) suppressed the tyrosinase activity but did not show any significant effect on ${\alpha}-glucosidase$ activity at the same condition. Taken together, ATE possesses tyrosinase inhibitory potential with significant antioxidant capacities. These effects of ATE might be involved in suppression of melanin synthesis, at least, in B16F10 cells. The anti-melanogenic potential of ATE will provide an insight into developing a new skin whitening product.
In the present study, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities were measured in Chrysanthemum indicum Linne extracted with different ethanol concentrations. The 50% ethanol extract demonstrated the highest yield of 33.6%, while the 30% and 70% ethanol extracts showed the highest total polyphenol contents of 59.70 and 61.35 mg GAE/g, respectively. The antioxidant activity of 70% ethanol extract was highest in the DPPH radical scavenging activity (RC50 14.95 ㎍/mL) and ABTS+ radical scavenging activity (RC50 42.28 ㎍/mL). FRAP activity was significantly higher in the 30% ethanol extract than the other extracts. The anti-inflammatory effects of Chrysanthemum indicum Linne extracted with different ethanol concentrations were examined using nitric oxide (NO) inhibition assays. In LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells, the 30% ethanol extract showed the highest inhibition of NO production with 11.16 µM at a concentration of 200 ㎍/mL. The results of this study suggest that Chrysanthemum indicum extracted 30% or 70% ethanol concentrations as potential functional raw material.
With the development of the Internet and personal computers, various and complex attacks begin to emerge. As the attacks become more complex, signature-based detection become difficult. It leads to the research on behavior-based log anomaly detection. Recent work utilizes deep learning to learn the order and it shows good performance. Despite its good performance, it does not provide any explanation for prediction. The lack of explanation can occur difficulty of finding contamination of data or the vulnerability of the model itself. As a result, the users lose their reliability of the model. To address this problem, this work proposes an explainable log anomaly detection system. In this study, log parsing is the first to proceed. Afterward, sequential rules are extracted by Bayesian posterior probability. As a result, the "If condition then results, post-probability" type rule set is extracted. If the sample is matched to the ruleset, it is normal, otherwise, it is an anomaly. We utilize HDFS datasets for the experiment, resulting in F1score 92.7% in test dataset.

Background: Research on next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based HLA typing is active. To resolve the phase ambiguity and long turn-around-time of conventional high resolution HLA typing, this study developed a NGS-based high resolution HLA typing method that can handle large-scale samples within an efficient testing time. Methods: For HLA NGS, the condition of nucleic acid extraction, library construction, PCR mechanism, and HLA typing with bioinformatics were developed. To confirm the accuracy of the NGS-based HLA typing method, the results of 192 samples HLA typed by SSOP and 28 samples typed by SBT compared to NGS-based HLA-A, -B and -DR typing. Results: DNA library construction through two-step PCR, NGS sequencing with MiSeq (Illumina Inc., San Diego, USA), and the data analysis platform were established. NGS-based HLA typing results were compatible with known HLA types from 220 blood samples. Conclusion: The NSG-based HLA typing method could handle large volume samples with high-throughput. Therefore, it would be useful for HLA typing of bone marrow donation volunteers.
It was reported that a mobile application was designed to easily provide natural dyeing information such as natural dye related resources, colors and dyed fabrics in 2007. Since studies on the linkage, application, etc. between natural dye dyeing and IoT are still lacking, diversity of information on the change of dyeing pattern by natural dye dyeing is required. In this study, it was to construct dyeing information by natural dyes, e.g., Lithospermum erythrorhizon, on silk, which has been traditionally used as many fibers in Korea. The extraction of the dye from L. erythrorhizon was carried out under pH4. The dried root of L. erythrorhizon showed dark brownish purple. Silk fabric by a without a mordant typically showed a purple dyed pattern. In the staining by sodium tartrate plus citric acid, silk fabric was stained clear brown. Interestingly, the mordant of iron (II) sulfate, the silk fabric was dyed in a light gray color rather than black. When the mordant of aluminum potassium sulfate was treated with L. erythrorhizon-extracted dye, the results were almost the same as when the mordant was not treated. When the degree of dyeing was evaluated numerically, the treatment of the mordant of potassium dichromate was about 50% darker, and the dyeing by iron (II) sulfate was about 75% darker. These results will be helpful in the study of applying various dye colors using L. erythrorhizon, and it will provide information on dyeing controller and database system construction by dyeing parameters such as dyeing degree, pH concentration, and chromaticity change.
Sodium alginate is the sodium salt of alginic acid, commonly used as a food additive for stabilizing, thickening, and emulsifying properties. A relatively simple and universal analysis method is used to study sodium alginate due to the complex pretreatment process and extended analysis time required during the quantitative method. As for the equipment, HPLC-UVD and Unison US-Phenyl column were used for analysis. For the pretreatment condition, a shaking apparatus was used for extraction at 150 rpm for 180 minutes at room temperature. The calibration curve made from the standard sodium alginate solution in 5 concentration ranges showed that the linearity (R2) is 0.9999 on average. LOD and LOQ showed 3.96 mg/kg and 12.0 mg/kg, respectively. Furthermore, the average intraday and inter-day accuracy (%) and precision (RSD%) were 98.47-103.74% and 1.69-3.08% for seaweed jelly noodle samples and 99.95-105.76% and 0.59-3.63% for sherbet samples, respectively. The relative uncertainty value was appropriate for the CODEX standard with 1.5-7.9%. To evaluate the applicability of the method developed in this study, the sodium alginate concentrations of 103 products were quantified. The result showed that the detection rate is highest from starch vermicelli and instant fried noodles to sugar processed products.

In this study, the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant efficacy of camellia subcritical water extracts (SWE, 135 ~ 180 ℃, 70 bar) was compared with 70% ethanol and hot water extracts. Among these extracts, the yield (57.9%) of the subcritical water extract, which was extracted under the condition of 180 ℃ and 70 bar was the highest, which increased the extraction yield by more than two times compared to the hot water extract (28.1%). The results of the nitric oxide (NO) production inhibition activity experiment using RAW 264.7 macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) showed that subcritical water extracts had superior effects in inhibiting the production of NO without cytotoxicity than 70% ethanol and hot water extracts. In addition, DPPH and ABTS+ radical scavenging activity experiments showed that the radical scavenging activity of subcritical water extract was similar to that of 70% ethanol and hot water extract. Moreover, the content of gallic acid was determined by HPLC and the quantity was about 1.62 mg/g for the SWE (165 ℃, 70 bar), which was the highest among all of the extracts. Based on these results, it is concluded the SWE of C. japonica flowers could be potentially applicable as anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative ingredients in cosmetic formulations.
