This study is based on parents that have preschool children of age 4~5, and analyzes the perception and parent education demand through parent experience of fire. As a result of the study about perception through parent experience about safety life, safety accidents, safety education of fire, the effect of parents' safety consciousness to fire safety life turned out to be moderate for fathers and large for mothers. The safety education method was mostly done in speaking than experience for fathers, while mothers did education through experience in daily life. Also the difficulties in safety education was lack of educating time for fathers while it was lack of knowledge and methods for mothers. Perception through parent experience of fire safety accidents showed that fathers did not have experience of fire safety accidents while mothers did. The locations perceived by parents where fires mostly occurred showed to be within home for both parents, and both administered first aid in managing fires. Perception through parent experience of fire safety education showed the importance of fire safety education to be important in both parents, and both parents had no experience in fire safety education. Also the fire safety education knowledge acquisition method was TV or the Internet for fathers, while it was participating in seminars or lectures for mothers. Fathers were moderately satisfied of the fire safety education instruction of childhood education centers, while mothers were slightly dissatisfied. For the demand of parent education about fire safety education, fathers were moderate while mothers thought it necessary of parent education necessity. The reason why parent education was needed was to be able to know immediate and prompt measures and first aid treatment in emergency situations for fathers, while it was to figure out the cause of fire safety accidents and prevent it beforehand for mothers. For the education institution of fire safety education, fathers demanded it for safety related institutions while mothers demanded it for children education institutions, and the number of times for parent education was once or twice a year for fathers while it was once a month for mothers. For the parent education instructor of fire safety education, fathers demanded safety education experts while mothers demanded infant teachers that completed the safety education course. For the fire safety education method of parent education, fathers demanded Internet searching while mothers demanded seminars or lectures.
This study is about the drunken drivers' accident patterns and behavior and aims at providing basic data for developing measures to secure safety against accidents by drunken drivers and programs to cultivate good drinking habits. For this purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire of 800 persons over 20 years of age in the selected 20 companies with more than 30 employees in the 4 regions(Daegu, Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae) and analysed the 653 sheets except invalid ones among the returned 673 survey sheets in total(return rate 84.13%), and the researcher conducted a man-to-man interview with each subject from June 20th to July 31st 2006. The result are as the following. As the experience of causing an accident by drinking, the 79.1% of them had the experience, and in case of the subjects with excessive drinking over 4 times a year, the rate of the accident by drinking showed as high as 90.5%. As the patterns of accidents, in male subjects, violence(38.5%) and traffic accidents(37.1%) showed high, while in the female, hurts from falls and fall accidents(40.2%) were found be high. In case of the traffic accidents among the accidents by drinking, the rate of causing serious damage to the life was found to be 89.3%, so it showed that the traffic accidents caused by drinking were influencing on the life much. In conclusion, the drinking problem may be controlled by each individual's will, but without change of social environment and system around people, the problem can not be eradicated. Therefore there should be social infrastructure which can help people to actively live their life with exercises and hobbies, and in order to prevent the reoccurrence of a drink accident, and social structure in which there are education programs for drink accident causers and one can change the perception about drinking culture, should be formed.
Since 2024, small business are also going to be ruled under the Serious Accident Punishment Act. As the scope of the law expands, the small logistics companies are required to pay more attention on preventing serious accidents on the field. Freight vehicle accidents can cause personnel accidents and cargo accidents which are the two serious accidents that the Serious Accident Punishment Act is trying to prevent. The purpose of this research are to study the factors that cause the serious accidents that happens in the small logistics companies and to suggest preventive. The results of the study shows that fall prevention is the top-priority and then driving experience, safety management, and cargo driving hours. However, the gaps between the evaluation values of each are not huge, which means all the preventives are significant.

Every year, lives are lost due to electrical safety accidents that could have been prevented with proper education and awareness of electrical safety. To prevent such accidents, experiential education is more effective than indoctrination education. This paper describes the electrical safety education system based on virtual reality (VR) and evaluates effect of the proposed system. Users operated the experiential electrical safety education system, and they were provided electrical stimulation in an electric shock experience using a haptic device. Appropriate stimulation values were calculated according to age (children vs. adults) and gender through experiment. The scenario in which participants experience electrical safety in the home environment was structured, and related educational contents was produced. A total of 68 healthy elementary students evaluated the educational effect of the system. The results showed that the educational effect and the sustainability of effect of the proposed system are superior to those of existing multimedia learning methods. By implementing electrical safety education stimulating the senses of human, the learning effect was promoted and this experiential education would be able to prevent electrical accidents.
PURPOSES : The effects on traffic accidents change with the changing environment. Accordingly, this study analyzes the characteristics of traffic accidents based on the personal characteristics (gender and age) of drivers, and those of 25 autonomous districts in Seoul, and suggests improvements. METHODS : Based on data pertaining to traffic accidents in Seoul, the analysis of accident characteristics was conducted by categorizing the types of traffic accidents according to the drivers' gender and age, and characteristics of 25 autonomous districts in Seoul. Further, for statistical verification, the SPSS software was used to derive influence variables through a multinomial logistic regression analysis, and a method for reducing traffic accidents was proposed. RESULTS : Analysis results show that males tend to be more involved in speed-related accidents and females in low-experience driving-related accidents such as those during parking and alleyway driving. In addition, variables such as age, automobile type, district, and day of the week are found to influence accident types. CONCLUSIONS : This study analyzed the accident characteristics based on personal and city characteristics to reflect the sociological characteristics that influence traffic accidents. The number of traffic accidents in Korea could be decreased drastically by implementing the results of this study in customized safety education and traffic maps.
This study focused on novice drivers. Novice drivers get involved in more traffic accidents than the other drivers because of less driving experience. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between driving confidence levels and speeding, drunken driving, and traffic accidents. 192 drivers responded driving confidence levels questionnaire and driving experience items. 'Circumstance Insensibility', 'Unsafe Driving', 'Incautious Driving', and 'Self-efficacy of Driving' had significant relations with speeding in novice divers group. Especially, 'Circumstance Insensibility' showed a significant relation with speeding, drunken driving and traffic accidents. In the result of path analysis, driving confidence levels explained 22% of the speeding, 12% of the drunken driving and 21% of the traffic accidents in novice drivers group. 'Circumstance Insensibility' was most effective for traffic accidents of novice drivers. We verified that 'Self-efficacy of Driving' affects on traffic accidents via speeding.

Therefore, in this paper, the situation about the serious accident of construction is analyzed by occupation, a kind of construction, time group, season, type of accident, and accidental cause. And the mutual · relations of these factors are studied. The most frequent type of the serious accidents of construction Is the falling accident. It happenes most frequently at apartment construction among kinds of construction and to structural worker, finishing worker, normal worker in order among occupations. And it is found that the most critical causes of the falling accident are the imperfection of safety facilities and unwearing of protection equipments, so a number of accidents can be reduced by the expansion of safety facilities and wearing of protection equipments absolutely. The counterplan of prohibition of accidents and the direction of government policy are presented by a series of nalyses for accident cases.
The dental accidents and disputes among Korean dentists have been on the increase with time. The main purpose of this study is to figure out the actual status of the dental accidents and malpractice disputes based on a questionnaire survey. The findings showed that 64.8% of respondents had been experienced the dental accidents, and 52.9% of respondents had been locked into the disputes. Within 5 years from the start of dental practice, the nearly half of the dentists responded the experience of the dental accidents and disputes. The amount of compensation for dental accidents and disputes wereindentalimplant, prosthodontics, and oral surgery treatments in descending order. The highest incident type was wrong process/treatment/procedure problem in clinical process/procedure.

Objective:This study is on the characteristics of motorcycle accidents occurring in the mail delivery process by skill level. Background: The tendency of delivery postmen's driving in a hurry may become the cause of accidents since there is a constraint that delivery should be completed within a limited time. Method: This study analyzed the traffic accident data of 259 delivery postmen, who had been approved as occupation-related industrial accident victims from 2009 to 2012, by their work experience in view of season, day of the week of an accident occurrence, accident occurrence time, accident cause, collision type, and driving situation. Results: Accident characteristics of delivery postmen show that the ratio of accidents occurring to those who had less than 10 years of work experience was high. There were many motorcycle collisions in winter and summer by season and an unexpected object, along with road condition, took up 70.7% of the accident sources. There were no differences in accident occurrence time, the day of the week, season, accident source, and collision type between the group of delivery postmen with less than 10 years of work experience and those with 10 years or more of work experience. However, there was a difference in distribution of driving condition. Conclusion and Applications: The results of this study can be used to present the policies or guidelines for the accident prevention of delivery postmen since the results show the characteristics of the injured and accident occurrence characteristics in relation with the delivery postmen's motorcycle collisions.
Whenever a disaster occurs, people emphasizes that "Safety management is most important thing in the company". However, a situation of safety management is not changed dramatically after accidents in the past. Many small-and-medium sized industries neglect the importance of safety management. Current situation can be easily figured out when looks up an occurrence rate of accident, accident frequency rate and intensity rate. This paper investigated what workers of hotel-related industries think of a safety and types of accidents, effect of a safety education. On-site-survey was conducted for actual workers in four deluxe hotels and one condominium. 207 persons out of 400 people were replied. Statistical analysis was performed with SAS package about their reply. In injured type, cut from knife was most frequent. Main cause of accident was a unsafe posture and a unsafe behavior, so more safety education for these workers are necessary. In a physical pain which related with job, chronical pain was most dominant. As a result, a safety education has a high correlation with an experience of injured and treatment of safety, Cooking department has highest occurrence of accident than any other departments. Workers with an experience of five to ten years have most lowest treatment of safety, aid of safety education, safety feeling of their working environment, so peer attention must be put on these people to reduce accidents.accidents.
