  • Greater expansion and more frequent operation of the railroad transportation system anticipated due to its characteristics including low cost, safety and mass transportation. Recently, effects on the railway structures due to expansion of newly constructed road, construction of subway, city gas pipeline, communication network, electric power network and construction of other railway underground crossing in accordance with urban planning and organization has influenced safe operation of trains. Accordingly, standard for selection of construction method that will enable construction of more economical and rational subway underground crossing structures by preventing problems occurring at the time of above construction works and accidents in safe operation of trains due to construction in advance is definitively necessary. Although there are numerous construction methods that can be applied at the time of construction of railway underground crossing, there are much difficulties in selection of appropriate construction method that considers characteristics of each construction method on non-excavation type construction method, train operation plan of number of operational routes and on-site circumstances. Therefore, this research aims to present rational standard for selection of construction method for such, and standard for slowdown speed and interception of train when passing the areas of slowdown in sectors under construction.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the expansion of alkali-activated geopolymer mortar containing reactive aggregate due to alkali-silica reaction. In addition, this study is particularly concerned with the behavior of these alkaline materials in the presence of reactive aggregates. The test method included expansion measurement of the mortar bar specimens and geopolymer compressive strength test. Major results that alkali-activated geopolymer mortars showed expansion due to the alkali-silica reaction. geopolymer mortars is safety for the expansion exhibited less than 0.2% at 14 day.

  • Expansion joint is the absorbing structure when the upper structure of bridge have the drying shrinkage and creep from the change of temperature or construction badness. Because it has the fatigue from continuous vehicles traffic. the durability and performance is verified by the static and dynamic loading test In this study. we make the decision that T-MAT type expansion joint is applied in railway bridge and the expansion joint was tested by the criterion of Korea High Speed Rail Construction Authority.

  • The Purpose of this is properties of CFT filled with expansion concrete. CFT(concrete filled steel tube) is the structure that circle shape steel column filled with concrete. 3 kinds of expansive additives and variation of replacement rate. we changed expansive additive from 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% of ratio of addition rate are selected for this experiment. Merits of CFT are concrete internal force rising influenced by steel shape restriction, reinforcing the local buckling, excellent resistance to transformation. Generally, High rise building using CFT utilize the high strength and fluidity concrete for packing the tube inside. As the result a steel tube charged expensive concrete has stiffness 1.5times more than a steel tube not charged concrete. Increase of resisting power about compressive stress by binding expansion of expansive concrete affects strength increase and softness.

  • Borosilicate glass can be used for improving neutron shielding of concrete. The well known expansion of borosilicate glass caused by expansion of mortar bar was can cause serious damage to the concrete. In this research, borosilicate glass was powdered to reduce the particle size similar to that of cement, and 20% cement replacement set was reduced expansion rate about 30%. But aggregate replacement set was damaged because of Alkali-Silica Reaction expansion.

  • The use of converter slag as an aggregate for concrete is limited due to the risk of expansion. This study analyzed the substances causing the expansion of converter slag and evaluated the possibility of its use as an aggregate for concrete through separation and selection. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that CaO and MgO were concentrated in the slag particles inducing expansion, and it was confirmed that it was possible to separate them from non-expanded particles through magnetic.

  • The continuous welded rail(CWR) track without the rail expansion joint has many advantages over the conventional track in a variety of fields including the speed-up and the ride comport. However, due to the excessive axial force in the CWR and the track-bridge interactive behavior, inevitably, the rail expansion joint must be installed at the vulnerable zone such as the bridge end zone, etc. In this rail expansion joint zone, the frequency of the maintenance work to repair the track irregularity is on the rise. This is because that the creep of the sleeper is occurred in the moveable zone of the rail expansion joint. In this study, among the several options for reducing the track irregularity on the rail expansion joint zone, the application and efficiency of the tied sleeper is investigated. Field test construction has been conducted, then the progress of the track irregularity and the frequency of the maintenance work are analyzed before and after the filed test construction.

  • 교량 신축이음장치의 파손 유형은 주로 후타재(무수축 모르타르)와 관련된 부분에서 많이 발생된다. 또 다른 문제는 중차량 통과에 따른 충격과 진동하중으로 인해서 신축이음장치를 후타재에 고정하기 위해서 사용하는 앵커 풀림 현상이다. 본 연구에서는 무수축 모르타르의 파괴에 따른 신축이음장치의 파손을 방지하기 위해 탄성콘크리트를 개발하였다. 개발된 탄성콘크리트와 현재 주로 사용하고 있는 무수축 모르타르의 인발성능을 비교하였다. 또한, 후타재와 신축이음장치를 일체화하여 후타재의 파손을 방지하고 신축이음장치를 쉽게 교체할 수 있는 앵커 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • 정부의 지속적인 규제 정책으로 인해 국내 건설시장은 위축되어 있는 반면 해외 건설시장은 꾸준한 성장세를 보이고 있고, WTO(World Trade Organization)체제 출범 이후 국제적인 개방화가 가속되고 있다. 따라서 우리나라의 해외건설도 과거의 단순 입찰방식을 지양하고 해외건설 수주경쟁력 확대를 위한 전략 수립이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구는 해외건설 분야에서 사업초기에서부터 발주처에게 프로젝트의 재원확보 방안을 제시함으로써 수주경쟁력을 증대시키는 것을 연구의 주제로 삼았으며 재원확보 방안으로 양허성(원조성격)을 지닌 공적개발원조(ODA)를 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 선진국 및 우리나라의 공적개발원조를 분석하고, 관련 분야 전문가를 대상으로 해외건설 및 공적개발원조에 대한 설문조사를 실시하여 현황 및 문제점을 알아보았으며, 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 공적개발원조의 경쟁력을 분석하고 해외건설 수주경쟁력 확대를 위한 전략을 제안하였다.

삼차원 구의 보로노이 다이어그램 계산을 위한 두 가지 알고리듬 및 단백질구조채석에의 응용 (Two Algorithms for Constructing the Voronoi Diagram for 3D Spheres and Applications to Protein Structure Analysis)

  • Voronoi diagrams have been known for numerous important applications in science and engineering including CAD/CAM. Especially, the Voronoi diagram for 3D spheres has been known as very useful tool to analyze spatial structural properties of molecules or materials modeled by a set of spherical atoms. In this paper, we present two algorithms, the edge-tracing algorithm and the region-expansion algorithm, for constructing the Voronoi diagram of 3D spheres and applications to protein structure analysis. The basic scheme of the edge-tracing algorithm is to follow Voronoi edges until the construction is completed in O(mn) time in the worst-case, where m and n are the numbers of edges and spheres, respectively. On the other hand, the region-expansion algorithm constructs the desired Voronoi diagram by expanding Voronoi regions for one sphere after another via a series of topology operations, starting from the ordinary Voronoi diagram for the centers of spheres. It turns out that the region-expansion algorithm also has the worst-case time complexity of O(mn). The Voronoi diagram for 3D spheres can play key roles in various analyses of protein structures such as the pocket recognition, molecular surface construction, and protein-protein interaction interface construction.
