The gilt bronze statue, Seated Avalokiteshvara with a Thousand Hands, of the Goryeo dynasty, is the only one in Korea of its kind that has undergone a conservation process for the special exhibition entitled GORYEO: The Glory of Korea. For the conservation treatment, first, a component analysis (XRF) was conducted, and a manufacturing technique (CT) was analyzed. The results of the investigation revealed that the statue was alloyed with Cu, Sn, and Pb ternary bronze. Its surface, except for the detached plating layers, was originally plated using the mercury amalgam method. This statue was assembled after separately casting each part of the body, such as the left and right arms and the wrists, including the hands, with objects. In particular, each wrist was cast and fitted with a metal nail to express each object in the hands more precisely. Inside the statue, there were five iron cores: two for the head, one for the left elbow, one for the right flank, and one for the right waist. For the preservative treatment, natural adhesive agents, including vegetable gelatin and glue (20%), were mixed with alcohol to protect the base metal and adhere to the plating layers. Using synthetic resin (CDK 520+SN-sheet) for the damaged parts, the restored parts could be attached and detached to/from the statue. Eventually, the compositional analysis and conservation treatment left the statue in a stable condition and ready for exhibitions and future studies.
This study aims to inquire into the U. S. elementary school teachers' storylines for science teaching methods, scientific knowledge and interactions with students. As research subjects, two American elementary school teachers, named Christina and Melissa, were selected. As test tools, this study adopted Storyline Test and semi-structured interviews. Firstly, in regard to the science teaching method, Christina evaluated that she gradually improved her science teaching skills up to positive 6 points, starting from 2 points in the first year of teaching career, while Melissa sustained a stable state with 5 points in the 9th year of teaching career, starting from 1 point in the first year of teaching career. It was found that both the teachers had more confidence in their science teaching methods by participating in various training programs. Secondly, Christina evaluated her scientific knowledge in the first year of teaching career as 4 points, but evaluated her present scientific knowledge as stable as 6 points since she started studying teaching materials actively, discussing with other teachers and having more ability of application through science class integrated with other school subjects, in the 7th year of her teaching career. On the other hand, Melissa evaluated her scientific knowledge in the first year of teaching career as 1 point since she did not exactly know what to teach elementary school students, but in the 6th year of teaching career, she sustained a stable state with points through joint-activities with other teachers. It was found that chances to research with other teachers had important effect on both the teachers' confidence in scientific knowledge. Thirdly, in regard to interactions with students in science class, Christina said that she did not have any interaction with students when instructing inquiry activities in the first year of teaching career, but since the 10th year of her teaching career, she had sustained a stable state with 6 points through active interaction with students, by leading learning projects and science competitive exhibitions, etc. On the other hand, Melissa evaluated her interaction with students in the first year of teaching career as 1 point because her class was reading-oriented, but since the 9th year of teaching career, she had sustained a stable state with 6 points so far, by developing inquiry activity strategies to improve interaction with students. Overall, it was found that inquiry activities played a central role in improving both the teachers' interaction with students.

This article is devoted to the problem of national and patriotic education of young students by means of digital technologies in the conditions of distance learning environment. It is emphasized that national and patriotic education is a powerful means of strengthening the unity and integrity of Ukraine. It is proved that national and patriotic education will be effective under the condition of systematic and purposeful activity on formation of patriotic consciousness in youth, sense of national dignity, necessity of service of ideals and values of the country. Various forms of educational work of national and patriotic orientation at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, which were conducted by digital technologies: online thematic lectures, educational classes, round tables, workshops, guest online meetings with famous researchers of historical heritage of Ukraine, online tours of historical places, virtual exhibitions of art, participation in the national-patriotic student camp "Diia" (Action) and etc. The activity of the University Library and V. O. Sukhomlinsky State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, which has a significant impact on the formation of national consciousness and social and political activity of students by modern means of information and communication technologies. It is determined that the project "Inclusive 3D map" helps to broaden the horizons and deepen the knowledge of young students, education of a true citizen, the formation of cognitive interest in the subjects studied, motivation to study, raising awareness of Ukrainians on historical and cultural heritage. The study showed that young students take an active social attitude: they speak Ukrainian, want to live and work in Ukraine, respect their homeland, its traditions, cultural and historical past, love to travel and they are tolerant of people with special needs. Promising areas of educational work with students based on the use of a wide range of information and communication technologies, namely 3D games, TV tandems, podcasts, social networks, video resources in national and patriotic education of youth.
The rapid change of the culture and art environment is led to new art & cultural education and differences in culture and art education facilities, away from the traditional closed space culture and art education. Phenomena such as plays out of the theater, exhibitions out of the art museum, and pictures taking a walk indicate that cultural and artistic educational facilities can no longer stay in the existing paradigm and are changing along with the changes in the cultural and creative world. Therefore, to develop a site-specific theater education program centered around a specific place rather than a theater or studio, in line with the changing times of cultural and artistic educational facilities, this researcher analyzes Brecht's radio play experiment and the recent performative performance experiment. Furthermore, using the regional and community values of arts and culture education confirmed as the motive for research on site-specific theater programs, I analyze the implementation and application process by experimenting with theater programs out of the theaters and studios. As a prior study, research on site-specific performances is being conducted relatively actively, but earlier studies were dealing only with the Ligna group performance cases are lacking. However, I would like to use the previous research on site-specific performance cases as an epistemological background. As a result of the study, for the place-specific theater program through a total of 10 learners, a text based on a specific place was created that did not depend on traditional literary texts. Through this, the possibility of a site-specific theater education program could be confirmed.
Metaverse is gaining worldwide interest, and related industries are developing rapidly. In the field of education, students' interest in metaverse is increasing, and education on metaverse-related technologies and services is required. However, since metaverse classes in universities mainly consist of theoretical education and domestic/overseas case analysis education, practical education that can apply metaverse technology to the real world is also necessary. In the cultural field, event contents such as entrance ceremonies and exhibitions are mainly produced for metaverse contents, and it is also necessary to study metaverse contents that can be sustained for a long time by people visiting regularly. In this study, educational contents that can link cultural participation in the real world with cultural participation in the metaverse were studied using the local cultural space as a medium to produce sustainable metaverse contents. The 'Metaverse Moonshin Art Museum commemorating the 100th anniversary of Moonshin's birth' program reinterpreted the real world of Changwon Moonshin Art Museum into a virtual world by collaborating with students on the Roblox. The 'Expanded Reality Moonshin Art Museum' program created an expanded Metaverse art museum that transcends time by augmenting the deceased Moonshin artist in the museum's exhibition space using HoloLens. For students studying culture-related majors, an educational program that combines metaverse education and practical training was conducted, and it is planned to be supplemented and used as a teaching plan.
Immersive content overcomes spatial limitations through convergence with extended reality, artificial intelligence, and photogrammetry technology along with interest due to the COVID-19 pandemic, presenting a new paradigm in the content market such as entertainment, media, performances, and exhibitions. However, it can be seen that in order for realistic content to have sustained public interest, it is necessary to study storytelling method that can increase immersion in content rather than technological freshness. Therefore, in this study, we propose a immersive content storytelling method using artificial intelligence and photogrammetry technology. The proposed storytelling method is to create a content story through interaction between interactive virtual beings and participants. In this way, participation can increase content immersion. This study is expected to help content creators in the accelerating immersive content market with a storytelling methodology through virtual existence that utilizes artificial intelligence technology proposed to content creators to help in efficient content creation. In addition, I think that it will contribute to the establishment of a immersive content production pipeline using artificial intelligence and photogrammetry technology in content production.
This study examined the social capital and geographical gaps of local television stations using web data gathered through website crawling. URLs for 16 local MBC websites were collected. MBC is an abbreviation for Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of South Korea's largest television and radio broadcasters. Munhwa is a Sino-Korean term that means "culture." It initially determined which institutions local broadcasting stations were linked to using a Web Impact Report. To investigate the specific connection type, URL information was classified using the n-tuple helix model, followed by 2-mode network analysis. The n-tuple helix model is an analysis method that extends the standard university-business-government triple-helix model by including a new network innovation originator. As a result, local broadcasting stations relied heavily on activities like as festivals, performances, and exhibitions to engage the local community. Local stations in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam area were identified as having the most diverse connections to the local population among other regions.
Metaverse combines the real and virtual worlds to create a world where all experiences and activities in the real world are possible even in the virtual world without time and space constraints. Currently, metaverse technology is expanding and converging into the realms of society, economy, and culture. In particular, the MZ generation, the main user base, is engaged in various cultural activities such as games, contents, culture, exhibitions, and performances in the metaverse world. Archives, one of the cultural institutions, should provide a new type of service by fusion of Archival information services with metaverse technology so that the MZ generation can know the value and meaning of archives. This will arouse the interest of the MZ generation, which will naturally increase the awareness of the archives, increase visits and use, and will serve as an opportunity to expand the user base. Therefore, in this study, the concept, type, and characteristics of each service were examined, and the representative metaverse platform for each service was selected and a platform utilization plan suitable for Archival information services such as exhibition, experience, and publicity was proposed. In addition, by using 'Spatial', a blockchain-based social metaverse platform, to directly produce exhibition contents, we want to check the considerations suggested, the production process, and the advantages of the metaverse exhibition.

HYBE Insight, opened in May 2021, is an exhibition space that visually displays and re-interprets the BTS Universe and its content. The space echoes the identity of BTS as an artist and the specificity of the cultural phenomenon they have generated. This study analyzes HYBE Insight's BTS exhibition by applying new museological theories and discourses. Based on a qualitative research methodology including literature review and observational method, the primary themes of the exhibition are follows: 1) a contextualized exhibition content presenting the identity of BTS and their music, 2) the role of the fandom Army's participation in (re) producing BTS content related to the characteristic of popular music museums, 3) the elements of convergence art and its contemporary implication, 4) and the illumination of cultural value in popular music museum management. As the pivotal theory of new museology suggests, investigating a specific exhibition based on each context it has created is significant. However, those studies, including exhibitions related to popular music/artists, were mostly developed in Western nations. In this respect, HYBE Insight's BTS exhibition provides considerable room to explore. In addition to the recent research on BTS, such as their convergent artistry, socio-cultural influence, the role of Army, and the characteristics of HYBE's content management, this article aims to contribute to the multifaceted research by scrutinizing the BTS exhibition content from the new museology perspective.
Profound changes have occurred in the archival landscape since the advent of community archives and the global spread of archival art. This trend can be seen in Korea where a noticeable growth in archival arts and local community archives can be observed. This study explores how archival arts in Korea function when they are specifically intended to play a role in local community archiving. For this purpose, we analyzed the 'Gyeonggi archive_Now (2018)' and 'Seongbuk Documenta (2016-2018)' exhibitions, which were both exemplary cases of archival arts exhibited in connection with local community archives. Based on the analysis of the Gyeonggi Archive, which was aimed at strengthening the local identity of Gyeonggi Province, as well as the analysis of Seongbuk Documenta, which focused on the loss of place that resulted from redevelopment projects in the area of Seongbuk-gu, this study identifies the multiple roles of artists in archiving work. This study also reveals the variety of archiving works that exist and illuminates the value that such initiatives have in constructing local identity and reviving a sense of place. In particular, this research shows that archival art has the potential to empower local community archives while also providing opportunities to boost artistic creation. Our research concludes by highlighting the necessity of promoting the right environment and conditions that are required for archival arts if they are to play a role not only in keeping records and memories but also in producing further knowledge and discourse in a local community.
