Purpose Recently, much attention in building smart factory has dramatically increased with an emergence of the Industry 4.0. As we noted a connectivity gap between main concerns of MIS and the automated manufacturing systems such as POP and MES, it is recommended that CPS (Cyber-Physical System) can be an important building block for the smart factory and enrich the depth of MIS knowledge. Therefore, first, this study attempted to identify the connectivity gap between the traditional field of MIS (ERP, SCM, CRM, etc.) and the automated manufacturing systems, and then recommended CPS as a technical bridge to fill the gap. Secondly, we studied concepts and research trend of CPS that is believed to be a virtual mechanism to manage manufacturing systems in an integrated manner. Finally, we suggested research and educational opportunities in MIS based on the CPS perspectives. Design/methodology/approach Since this paper introduced relatively new idea of CPS originally discussed in the field of engineering, traditional MIS research method such as survey and experiment may not fit well. Therefore this research collected technical cases through literature survey in engineering fields, video clips from Youtube, and field references from various ICT Exhibitions and Conventions. Then we analyzed and reorganized them to highlight the necessity of CPS and draw some insight to share with MIS academia. Findings This paper introduced CPS to bridge the connectivity gap between the traditional MIS and automated manufacturing system (smart factory), a concern far away from the MIS academia. Further, this paper suggested future research subjects of MIS such as developing software to share big production data and systems to support manufacturing decisions, and innovating MIS curricula including smart and intelligent manufacturing technology within the context of traditional enterprise systems.
In order to actualize the third dimension form, hologram is coming to attention because it has no restriction on viewing position and is capable of natural visual expression. Although hologram technology is the best method to embody 3D image without glasses, it is not commercialized due to several technological problems. Currently used hologram technology in concerts or exhibitions are images flashed on a 2-dimensional transparent screen by HD projectors which is similar to hologram technology, not truly same. In this research, we make 3D contents for Holographic projection and use these contents to present art that can interact with spectators. As a result of the exhibition, attendance showed satisfaction on inspection form, allowing spectators to move around the screen and view it both sides; moreover, they were enterprising to interact with the videos played according to their movements. Therefore, we are able to implement a sensible and spatio-temporal artwork along with interesting space production and represent a intimate and interactive space with the public.
This study focuses on the analysis of Baudelaire's aesthetic perspective which has established a theoretical basis on research of the critical reviews' salon exhibitions as written by Baudelaire. Charles Pierre Baudelaire(1821-1867) having lived during the latter part of Neo-classicism and the era of Romanticism and Impressionism, Baudelaire displayed opposition to customary realities such as social ideology or religious authority that suppressed human nature. Also he pioneered a new genre known as art criticism and wrote much that provided important insights on the essential elements of artistic work, modernity and trend, as well as art definition and art categories. The aesthetic perspective and creative spirit were formed by Baudelaire, during his age were also reconfirmed in the successive ages of modernism and postmodernism. As such, this study sheds light on how Baudelaire's aesthetic perspective was not only temporarily assertion but it is consistently applied to modern art and fashion area. What is more important that, Baudelaire admired new artificial beauty that is created by the human soul liberated from natural instincts or desires. Especially, informed by strangeness and distinctiveness, Baudelaire's view of fashion ran along the same vein as his view of art, and these views form the basis of that creative spirit which situated western fashion on a center of the world. In conclusion, the research on Baudelaire's aesthetic perspective will reaffirm a firm awareness of the creative spirit essential to globally-oriented creative artists and designers who work within the circumstance of the 21st century, a time when the paving of new aesthetic paths is necessary. The research also offers a clear understanding of the aesthetic values demanded by this age.
The Characteristics of space are determined by several factors; however, the element that determines the physical characteristic of floors, walls, and ceiling is the structure. This study constructs a wall to analyze the direct effect that the layout of an exhibition wall has on the element of the wall followed by the structural process and visibility of descriptive analysis and examples of art museums that the shift from a perceptional wall to an experiential wall affected circulation. For elements and formation methods of the wall, first, it is made up of open and closed type exhibition spaces, and it can give abundance in qualitative space rather than a quantitative aspect. Secondly, the directivity of space changes according to the development of the visible axis, thus, directly affects the change in visibility. Thirdly, the difference between spatial structure and visual structure is the difference between the visual axis and spatial structure. The wall formation type followed by the combination method, the simple visible structure, which is the type that possesses the simple combination (Room, Zone, Cluster), repeatedly uses the same size of units of space that is orderly and has few spatial axes and the classification of simple type and simple cluster type, which has few visible axes, also exists. Also, with the complex structure of the maze type it displays the reiterated form of the cluster, which is the space with disorderly combination and has much visible axes and spatial axes. Also, these can be divided into three types: 1) Maze Cluster Type, 2) Cross Road Type, and 3) Open Flexible Type. These wall types lead the various changes in circulation, and even each of the arrangement qualities of the exhibitions should be researched according to its exhibition place type.

The applications of augmented reality technology is increasing in the several field by IT convergence and we find augmented reality application easily in the smart device application area. And then, to attempt to use augmented reality technology in advantage, exhibitions and performances was activated. However, it less than other fields of augmented reality technology expertise yet. Among them services to Use in fusion with monitoring are lacking. In this paper, we proposed the augmented reality monitoring technology based on smart device. It is able to incorporate QR-code which is already building for the purpose of advertising promotional materials with augmented reality technology in many areas. Therefore, it is able to utilize unattended building or automation equipment facilities using QR-code and environmental monitoring sensor in the industry.
Focusing on the emergence of the basic course in American schools of architecture, in particular Gyorgy Kepes' courses at MIT, this paper studies the transformation of architectural pedagogy during the years after World War II. Kepes centered his architectural pedagogy on the picture plane, which was to function as the primary media for applying the principles of Gestalt psychology, that is the identification of the whole and its parts and the reciprocity between the internal human organism and the outside world. Kepes hence introduced a set of unconventional visual practices that were not readily assimilated to architectural conventions. Paralleling the establishment of the basic course, MIT also formulated a functionalist and spatial pedagogy with its two initial design studios, courses 4.721 and 4.722. These studios shared the notion that architectural design evolved from the inside toward the outside, an idea that took hold not just in the pragmatic environment of MIT's studios but also in conservative academic programs as well as in popular magazines, picture books, and exhibitions for the consumer public. The architectural surface became inseparable from the objects of art, furniture, and design, all of which were to be the generators of space. Hence, during the 1950s, the architectural surface provided a specific locus of intersection between the visual fundamentals of the basic course and the working principles of architectural design. Kepes, however, had by this time become disillusioned with architecture's potential as the medium of unity. Though he maintained the Gestalt logic of identity, he expanded it toward the goal of grander synthesis of society and consciousness freeing himself from the constraints of disciplinary instruction. In the case of Kepes, the mediating role of the picture plane was foregone in a regressive turn toward a primal, innocent, and direct experience.
Augmented reality is used in various fields such as culture, education, military, medical. This is a method of recognizing information of an augmented object on the camera. Exhibitions and educational contents for children are already produced in various ways. This research showed the developed contents deliver cultural property information using augmented reality. 'Galgibi AR' and 'Jang Young-sil's Invention AR' allow you to experience cultural assets up close. 'Galgibi AR' is the experience content in the form of 3D blocks. It makes to understand the structure of the zeolite, Galgibi. 'Jang Young-sil's Invention AR' make you to watch out four objects in detail by zooming in, zooming out and rotating. It can also take pictures with the inventions. Both contents implement what we want to deliver accurately through simple content. They increase the enjoyment of cultural heritage through experience contents. This research addressed to help the cultural property information spread to the public by using Augmented Reality.
Korea has been designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage with outstanding value among intangible cultural heritage. We have supported various exhibitions and performance activities, and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Public Events. However, in recent years, more diverse policies have been pursued in order to revitalize transmission activities and the State is leading the Completion examination system. In order to improve the utilization of crafts, we introduced a Craft Bank System. In addition, to increase the marketability of crafts, we have implemented the certification system for crafts. For the diversity of transmission activities, we are promoting the Transmission Education School System. In order to fuse traditional activities, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition is being held and the World Heritage Forum is being pursued. In this study, we analyze various policies of the new intangible cultural heritage and investigate the problems and seek ways to improve them.
In general, collections in museum are kept in storage according to a preservation and administration program in long or short term, after conservators' conservation treatment. Museum activities related to conservation science are common to do before and after exhibitions. That is, the museum collections include a flow mechanism, which circulate a space in where conservation science related activity is carried on centering around its storage. The purpose of this study is to suggest the design guidelines of a conservation area in a museum. The results of this study as follows. First, to program space planning, conservation area of museum is divided into 4 kinds of zone. Second, space for relics unloading in basically includes 'unloading room', 'control room', 'worker room', 'unpacking room', and 'unloading tools storage' and considers to install 'outdoor arrangement space', etc. In case of space for making relics collections, 'arrangement room' and 'temporary storage' are separately planned in order to arrange and temporarily store relics taken in. Conservation analysis space should be divided into 2 kinds of zone, 'conservation analysis lab' for analysis of collection characters and 'restoration lab' for conservation treatment in the bigger museum. In case of large-scale museum, conservation treatment space is basically classified with characters of museum collections. And it considers installing 'waterlogged wood lab', 'painting clothes treatment lab', 'storage of treated relics' etc. Third, for 'the spaces for analysis treatment', must consider activity contents and sizes of the department for scientific conservation every museum, can classify in detail required space, and must review the space for relics settlement in construction.
In fashion, there are various cultural aspects that exist in complexity, where according to the era, even fashion items newly develop and prevail into various designs in the organic function with reality of related cultural phenomenon and aesthetic aim. Among the fashion items, the shoe is historically considered as the shield from lust and also the provision of praise against the most emotional incitement. Mankind has started wearing shoes out of the functional purpose of protection since the ancient Egyptian times. Thereafter humankind has been creating shoes artistically in respect to shape, color, and quality of material, etc, as an expression of aesthetical awareness and introspective desire for beauty. As modern fashion increasingly regards the total fashion image much more important than each items consisting the whole outfit, the role of shoe became essential more than ever. Contrary to its relative importance, little academic attention was given to this area yet, while prestigious museums and galleries in Europe and the USA have held exhibitions of shoes in view of both historical and artistic aspects. This study aims to make a historical inquiry of western shoes. through which their aesthetic values can be drawn. Literature on this subject including aesthetics, history of costume and arts were referred. Fashion magazines and catalogues were investigated for additional information. The process and results of this study are meant to be a suggestion not only to further studies but also to artistic and creative shoe design. Originated for the functional purpose, shoes have evolved in various shapes with different meanings attached to it. When the technological development made the satisfaction for functional needs possible, the intrinsic attribute, the aesthetic value was pursued. The historical contemplations of shoes from Egyptian times to the 1990's led to the results that the intrinsic aesthetic value of shoes can be summarized as follows: 1) protection and extension of body, 2) need for decoration, 3) erotic expression, 4) symbol of dignity and class, 5) fashion.
