중국 배드민턴 지도자 리더십 행동유형이 운동스트레스에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Chinese Badminton Leader Leadership Behavior Types on Exercise Stress)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중국의 배드민턴 운동선수를 대상으로 지도자 리더십 행동유형이 운동스트레스에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 국가대표 유무 경력 경험이 있는 중국 배드민턴 선수 203명을 유목적 표집 하였다. 총 203부의 설문을 배포하여 그 중 불성실한 자료를 제외한 170부를 활용하여 연구목적에 맞게 자료처리를 실시하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구통계학적 변인에 따른 지도자 리더십 유형, 운동스트레스는 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타낫다. 둘째, 상관분석결과 운동스트레스와 그 하위요인들과는 정적인의 상관관계가 나타났다. 독립변수인 리더쉽 행동유형, 민주적 행동, 사회적지지 행동, 긍정적 보상행동과는 부적인 상관관계가 나타났으며, 훈련과 지시행동, 권위적 행동과는 정적인 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 지도자 리더십 행동 유형에 따라 운동스트레스는 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

중년여성의 운동행위변화단계에 미치는 융합적 영향요인 (Converged Influencing Factors on the Stages of Change of Exercise in Middle Aged Women)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중년여성의 운동행위변화단계에 미치는 융합적 영향요인들을 분석하는 데 있다. 연구대상자는 충남의 D시에 거주하는 41세~64세까지의 중년여성으로 연구의 목적을 이해하고 연구에 참여할 것을 동의한 200명의 중년여성을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 연구 자료는 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 중년여성의 사회적지지 요인은 중년여성의 운동행위 변화단계에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고(${\beta}$=.998, p=.010), 운동 동기 요인 또한 중년여성의 운동행위 변화단계에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(${\beta}$=3.407, p<.001). 즉, 운동행위 변화가 있는 중년여성이 운동행위 변화가 없는 중년여성에 비해 사회적 지지가 2.5배 높고, 운동 동기는 20.1배 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 이론적 근거를 바탕으로 중년여성의 운동행위 지속을 유지시키기 위해서 운동 동기와 사회적 지지를 고려하여 국가와 지역사회 차원의 운동증진프로그램 운영 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.

Do Wearable Devices Change Behavior? A Study of Smart Fitness Trackers

  • Purpose The study focuses on the physical activity behavior change effect of smart wristband, which is the most popular type of fitness tracker nowadays. The purpose of the research is to investigate how people's workout behavior may change after wearing a smart band and examine what kind of role persuasive design plays in behavior change. Design/Methodology/Approach This research employed an experimental study to examine whether the user's workout behaviors changed after using wristband from the "Behavior Wizard" perspective. A representative smart wristband from a major vendor was selected as the objects of experimental study. In the experiment, by comparing users' workout behavior before and after using the wristband, behavior changes of all the experiment participants were classified into one of the 15 behavior change types. Users perceived persuasive design characteristics were measured and group differences were tested among different behavior change groups. Findings This research found that nearly half of the participants changed their workout behavior while half retained their workout status or no exercise status. Half of the participants who did not do exercise in their spare time started walking in the experiment. Results also showed that participants who started working out perceived higher levels of persuasive design devised into the smart band than participants who preserved no exercise status, except for facilitation and reward strategies. Participants who retained workout and those who increased workout frequency perceived no difference in smart band persuasive design.

고령자 운동지속 행동의 사회심리적 결정요인 분석 (Analyses of Psycho-Social Determinants in Processes of Exercise Behaviors for Older Adults)

  • 본 연구는 고령자들의 운동지속 행동에 영향을 미치는 사회심리적 결정요인들을 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 계획된 행동이론을 바탕으로 본 연구는 고령자들의 건강에 대한 위험지각, 역경의 상황에서도 운동을 실천할 수 있다는 믿음(자기효능감), 운동결과에 대한 기대와 평가(태도), 운동에 대한 주위 사람들의 의사를 따르려는 생각(집단동조)과 같은 사회인지적 요인들이 고령자들의 운동지속 행동(의도성, 실행력, 지속성)에 영향을 미치는 결정요인이라고 예상했다. 연구 대상자들은 서울시에 위치한 노인복지관과 노인대학 등에서 선정된 65세 이상의 남녀 노인 453명(남: 171명, 여: 282명)이었다. 이들의 사회인지적 요인들과 운동지속 행동 요인들은 일련의 질문지를 사용하여 측정됐다. 위계적 중다회귀분석 결과는 본 연구에서 제안된 사회인지적 요인들(자기효능감, 운동태도, 집단동조, 건강위험지각)이 운동의도에 영향을 미치는 결정요인이라는 사실을 제시해 주고 있다. 그러나 운동의도에 대한 집단동조와 건강위험지각의 예측력은 매우 미약하게 나타났다. 또한 운동의도는 초기 운동실행의 가장 강력한 결정요인으로 나타났으며, 초기 운동실행은 지속적인 운동행동을 가장 강력하게 예측해 주었다. 이러한 결과들은 고령자 운동지속 행동에 영향을 미치는 사회심리적 결정요인들이 시간의 경과에 따라 역동적으로 변화할 수 있다는 가능성을 시사해 주고 있다.

중년 여성의 운동행위, 운동환경 및 사회적 지지에 관한 연구 (A Study on Exercise Behavior, Exercise Environment and Social Support of Middle-Aged Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify exercise environments and social support associated with exercise behaviors in middle-aged women. Method: Subjects were 207 women aged between 41 and 59 yr in an urban community. The research instruments utilized in this study were exercise stages, exercise environments, exercise partners and social support scale. Subjects were given a self-report questionnaire. Data was analyzed using the SPSS Win program. Result: The subjects were in the stages of precontemplation (3.4%), contemplation (25.1%), preparation (40.6%), action (5.8%), and maintenance (25.1%). Subjects who engaged in regular exercise were 30.9%. The mean score of the exercise environment was 6.34. The mean score of social support was 21.28, and 65.7% of subjects had exercise partners. The score of the exercise environment was significantly associated with the exercise stage (p=.01). The number of exercise partners of regular exercise groups was significantly greater than that of non-regular exercise groups (p=.00). The score of social support of regular exercise groups was significantly greater than that of non-regular exercise groups (p=.00). The score of social support was significantly associated with the exercise stage (p=.00). Conclusion: Exercise environments and social support need to be considered in planning exercise programs to improve exercise behavior among middle-aged women.

전주 지역 여대생의 운동 습관에 따른 식습관 및 건강 관련 생활 습관에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dietary Behavior and Health-Related Lifestyles according to Exorcise Habits of Female University Students in the Jeonju Area)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles, according to exercise habits, of female university students in the Jeonju area. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 285 students, and the statistical data analysis was completed using the SPSS v. 10.0 program. The results are summarized as follows. The weight, height, and BMI averages of the regular exercise and non-exercise groups were 53.05 kg, 162.46 cm, and 20.23, and 50.81 kg, 161.46 cm, and 19.48, respectively. The breakfast skipping ratio was higher in the non-exercise group than the exercise group. More than 72% of the exercise and 71% of the non-exercise group responded to regularly having lunch at the university canteens or restaurants around campus. Approximately 70% of the exercise and 71% of the non-exercise group responded to having dinner irregularly, which was mainly caused by reasons such as 'irregularity of life style' and 'appointments with friends'. The snack intake ratios of the exercise and non-exercise groups were high, but the exercise group ate more fruit, yogurt, and milk than the non-exercise group. The favorite sports of the exercise group were 'walk(jogging)', 'yoga', 'bicycle,' 'swim,' etc. In particular, 5.3% of the exercise group had ridden a bicycle to the university. More than 97% of the students were non-smokers. About 14% of the exercise and 15% of the non-exercise group rank alcohol once or twice a week. The exercise group did not show exceptional health-oriented dietary behaviors in comparison to the non-exorcise group. Therefore, an exercise-oriented nutrition education program would be beneficial to the students, in order to improve their dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles.

전라북도 일부 지역의 청소년 식습관, 신체활동, 비만도 (Eating Behavior, Physical Activities and Obesity degree of Adolescents in a region of Jeonbuk province)

  • Purpose: This study is to investigated the eating behavior, physical activities and obesity degree of the adolescents. Methods: The subjects of research were 1,092 third year students in middle school and high school randomly chosen of N city area and L gun area in Chonbuk province. The data was collected by an anonymous questionnaire. A survey tool developed in Ministry of Health and Welfare(2005) was used to investigate eating behavior, physical activities and obesity degree of subjects. The data was analyzed with the SPSSWIN 15.0 Programs. Results: 37.2% of adolescents only had positive eating behavior. 43.4% of adolescents did regular physical exercise, 10.8% did moderate physical exercise, and 43.3% did active physical exercise. 76.6% of adolescents did muscular strength exercise. So, the majority of adolescents were doing physical exercise. The percentage of adolescents who had normal weight range was 90.6%. The percentage of over weight range was 5.2%, which was higher than the percentage of under weight range, 4.2% Conclusion: This study is a descriptive research for investigating the eating bahavior, physical activities and obesity degree of adolescents. The results provided the baseline data for improving eating behavior, and improving physical activities and relieving obesity degree in adolescence. Therefore an effective national policy must study and develope a program to establish the positive eating behavior, and to promote the physical activities, and to prevent the adolescents' obesity.

행위단서인 매체에서 암관련 정보추구 유무가 건강행위에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Cancer-related Information Search From Media as Communication Cues on Health Behavior)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the effects of information searches from media as communication cues for health behavior, specifically smoking, drinking liquor, cancer examinations, and regular exercise. Methods: Data were collected through a web survey with a sample size of 600 and analyzed using SPSS 18.0. Results: The results show that the newspaper as a communication cue has an effect on health behavior such as regular exercise and smoking, whereas television only affects regular exercise. Conclusion: The results indicate that there are differences between media as communication cues to improve health behavior and that messages related to health information should be exposed with cautious consideration to media choice so as to increase the effects of message. Managerial implications of the study results are suggested.

중년기, 노년기 여성에서 무지방조직과 악력, 식이섭취 및 운동습관과의 관계 (Relationship between Fat-Free Mass and Grip Strength, Nutrient Intakes, Exercise Behavior in Middle- and Old-Aged Women)

  • This study was performed to show change of fat-free mass(FFM), representing mostly the muscle mass change, and muscle strength with increasing age, and relationship between dietary, exercise behaviors and FFM in healthy middle-and old aged women who are of age over 55 years. The FFM and correspondingly hand grip strength showed significant positive correlation with age. But concentration of serum albumin showed no significant relationship with age. The subjects were categorized into groups according to FFM tertile. The anthropometry such as weight, BMI, fat mass, circumferences of waist and hip, WHR, and hand grip strength decreased significantly in the lowest FFM group. But the albumin level showed no change according to FFM level. The FFM showed significant correlation with nutrient intakes such as energy, carbohydrate, protein, Fe, P, Ca. No association, however, was shown with exercise behavior probably because of no case with resistance exercise habits. The variance of FFM was explained 55.2% by height and carbohydrate intake. The variance of height-adjusted FFM could be explained only 16.2% by intake amount of carbohydrate. In conclusion, the decrease of FFM may cause to reduce muscle strength in female elderly. The increasing nutrient intakes were associated with the increased FFM and may protect from risk of sarcopenia. However, only the carbohydrate intake could influence independently the FFM in middle- and old-aged women. The FFM has no association with endurance exercise habits. 점진적 근력 운동이 노인의 활동에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Progressive Exercise on the Activities of the Elderly)

  • For the purpose of disclosing the effects of progressive low intensity exercise on the activity of the elderly, questionnaire survey and physical fitness examination were performed on the subjects who were 65 years old or older. The subjects were assigned into two groups using paired matching on gender and age: experimental group (33 persons) and control groups (35 persons). The subjects in experimental group was put on the low intensity exercise program (exercising upper and lower limbs for 12 weeks using dumbbell and lead-packed weight). The results showed that the difference of physical and social behavior scores among activities before and after exercise were significantly higher in all variables of general characteristics, health habits and status, perception, and physical fitness. The findings of this research suggested that the progressive low intensity exercise improves the activities of the elderly, physical activity, self assessed activity, activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, social behavior of the elderly be affected by general characteristics, health habits and status, perception, and physical fitness.
