This study examined mothers' ratings of everyday rules for their young children. Participants were 294 mothers of 2- to 5-year-old children attending kindergartens and nursery schools in Korea. Data were collected by questionnaire and were analyzed by $x^2$. Results indicated that the majority of mothers' rules for their children pertained to safety, interpersonal issues, and as children got older, social conventions. Mothers endorsed prudential justifications for safety and self-care, moral justifications for interpersonal rules, practical and moral justifications for safeguarding property, and conventional justifications for obedience/order and food/mealtime routines. Analyses of mothers' judgments of rule independence indicated that rules on interpersonal and safety issues were to be kept without exception.

With the development of SNS, many different areas including education are utilizing SNS in various ways. And there are more and more learners and teachers who intend to use it for learning. Lately, however, the students using SNS environment hardly consider the issues regarding copyright, so this is raising even legal issues, too. Therefore, this study has examined the degree of recognition of undergraduates on copyright and extracted the general cases of copyright which undergraduates may face in the actual class or everyday life. The cases extracted are expressed in the rules of "If ~ Then", stored in the knowledge base of rules in the rule-based system, and realized as the mobile web. And regarding the copyright-related problems inputted by the students, similar rules are drawn from the knowledge base of rules so that they can solve copyright-related problems anytime, anywhere with the mobile web in a self-directed way.

According to Mead's (1934) symbolic interaction theory, social roles are learned through interaction and experiences in everyday life. Over time, these rules of behavior become internalized and serve to structure one's actions accordingly. Ultimately, these rules provide us with a powerful means of controlling our actions, and in time, they define our identity. Transforming the socialization process is one's conscious interpretation of stimuli through the use of symbols. Furthermore, society's perceptual processes can be shaped by the symbols we learn. The meaning of symbols can be learned from a variety of social influences, one of which may be mediated messages and advertising. This paper attempts to establish a link between media exposure and one's perception of social reality regarding character judgments made of unknown others based on the target's product or brand usage. Using magazine advertisements for fictitious products, the experiment herein seeks to establish two fundamental goals: 1) to determine if perceptions can be manipulated via association with companion symbolic elements: and 2) to detect whether television exposure is a moderating factor. Respondents were asked their perceptions of both product quality and of product users.

Purpose：This thesis was performed to evaluate the effect of the experience safety education on the safety behavior and standard of habit to the middle school students of one islands. Methods：The participants of this study included 43, located in the adjoining region in S county. While one of the class, composed of 19 students was designated as an experimental group, and the other class, composed of 24 students, was compared as a control group. Used program in this study was safety education program, 'Safe School, Safe Life' which was developed by Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency. This program has emphasis on the virtual case rather than lecture style education. Results：The findings in this research were as follows. Indoor safety behavior was significant difference between the two groups. On the other hand, the effect on outdoor safety behavior was not difference. In playground case, active strength was needed without continuous attention. The effect of the experience safety behavior education was not shown in the area of traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and vehicle safety. But home safety behavior was effective. Education program on the manners of standard life habit gives positive results. But in the area of rules, this program was not effective, since students had tendency to emphasize the rigid scale rather than manners. Conclusion：These findings in the study give us the necessity of experience safety education program to prepare various situations of everyday life and to reinforce safety behavior and improve standard life habit.

Conventional filters using email header and body information equally judge whether an incoming email is spam or not. However this is unrealistic in everyday life because each person has different criteria to judge what is spam or not. To resolve this problem, we consider user preference information as well as email category information derived from the email content. In this paper, we have developed a personalized anti-spam system using ontologies constructed from rules derived in a data mining process. The reason why traditional content-based filters are not applicable to the proposed experimental situation is described. In also, several experiments constructing classifiers to decide email category and comparing classification rule learners are performed. Especially, an ID3 decision tree algorithm improved the overall accuracy around 17% compared to a conventional SVM text miner on the decision of email category. Some discussions about the axioms generated from the experimental dataset are given too.

This study aims to analyze families and the kinship concepts in Korean laws based on meanings, boundaries, and functions. Korean culture is in the process of changing from traditional familism to democratic individualism, yet this is not a simple transition. In recent times, many people have come to look at family life from both traditional and individual perspectives, so their family values are inconsistent with each other. Therefore, this creates many family conflicts. As a result of this problem, I have analyzed families and the kinship concepts in Korean laws based on meanings, boundaries, and functions. Because laws regulate and reflect our everyday life, it is meaningful to review these laws. The results are as follow: First, the meaning of family in Korean laws is to respect other family members, and democratic family relationships. Second, the family boundaries are very different depending on the laws. The core boundary is the nuclear family, but in addition to the nuclear family, the parents of the wife and husband, the family of origin and the kin living together are included in the family member regulations. Third, the functions of the family are caring, education, rules for the living place, child discipline, supporting each other, guardianship for the family members, succession of family assets, and legal accusation rights. Kinship plays an important role in determining child guardianship, permission of a minor to marry, and authority over legal incompetency. Therefore, there are some contradictions between individualism and patriarchy in Korean laws, and these can have an influence on the conflicts between family members in the everyday life.

Many more use e-mail purely on a personal basis and the pool of e-mail users is growing daily. Also, the amount of mails, which are transmitted in electronic commerce, is getting more and more. Because of its convenience, a mass of spam mails is flooding everyday. And yet automated techniques for learning to filter e-mail have yet to significantly affect the e-mail market. This paper suggests Web Mail Filtering Agent for Personalized Classification, which automatically manages mails adjusting to the user. It is based on web mail, which can be logged in any time, any place and has no limitation in any system. In case new mails are received, it first makes some personal rules in use of the result of observation ; and based on the personal rules, it automatically classifies the mails into categories according to the contents of mails and saves the classified mails in the relevant folders or deletes the unnecessary mails and spam mails. And, we applied Bayesian Algorithm using Dynamic Threshold for our system's accuracy.

The purpose of this study was to understand the diversity and speciality of Aztec dress which has not been well known, and to overcome ethnocentrism in clothing perceptions. From 15 century to early 16 century, the Aztec empire based on the unique view of the world, most flourished in Mesoamerica. Ritualistic and official side of Aztec life was reflected well on dress. Most Aztec garments consisted of unsewn pieces of cloth, draped on the body as loincloth, mantle and wraparound skirt. Slightly more complicated garments such as women's blouses(huipils) and men's simple jackets were created by sewing together two or more pieces of material. In the sharply stratified world of Aztec, strict sumptuary laws controlled dress. The garments of lower classes were made of maguey or yucca fiber, and only the upper classes were allowed to wear cotton clothing. In addition to material, color, elaborateness and even manner of tieing the mantle were carefully controlled by government edict. As the Aztec empire expanded and became wealthier, the sumptuary laws could not actually dictate what people wore everyday but rather provided a set of rules governing clothing for ceremonial occasions. Aztec's warrior costumes, consisted of headdress, towering back devices, feather garments, were sufficient to suggest the theatrical grandeur of what must have been one of the most magnificiently attired armies ever assembled.

Unplugged has been widely used as an instrument for teaching the basic principles of Computer Science. We'll present 'the binary system teaching contents for the characters' developed for the elementary. And they will successfully guide the student to understand the characters using in computer system. The activity-based learning is provided for describing characters with coding and decoding rules, and the using will be found out in everyday life. To check the adequacy of these materials they were tested to the elementary classroom, and the results showed effectively at Knowledge, Attitude, Generalization levels.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of treatment of mesoglycan. This study was conducted between September 2003 and May 2004. A total of 292 patients with vascular disorders including cerebral infarction were enrolled. The patients were administered with 50-100mg of mesoglycan by an oral route everyday for eight weeks. Subjective physicians' assessments of efficacy had ratings of 'improvement', 'invariability', 'exacerbation' and 'not being able to assess'. An improvement was observed in 241 patients out of 274; 18 patients were rules out. The efficacy rate was influenced statistically significantly by the duration of therapy (p=0.0392) and daily mean drug dose (p<0.0001). The adverse events were reported in 8 patients (9 cases) out of 292 patients: skin/appendages disorders (0.7%), liver/biliary system disorders (0.7%), cardiovascular system disorders (0.7%), neurologic disorders (0.3%). respiratory disorders (0.3%) and gastrointestinal system disorders (0.3%). There showed no serious adverse events. These results indicate that mesoglycan was well tolerated and effective for the prevention of vascular disorders.
