  • This paper evaluates thequality of synthesized speech by rule using the LPC CD in the objective measure and then compares the result with the subjective analysis. By evaluating the quality of synthesized speech by rule objectively. We have tried to resolve the problems (Evaluation time or size expansion, variables within the analysis results) that arise when the evaluation is done subjectively. Also by comparing intelligibility-the index for the subjective quality evaluation of synthesized speech by rule-with evaluation results obtained using MOS and the objective evaluation. We have proved the validity of the objective analysis and thus provides a guide that would be useful when R&D and marketing of synthesis by rule method is done.

  • Recently. many projects have been actively implementing IPsec on the various Operating Systems for security of IPv6 network. But there is no existing tool that checks the IPsec-based systems, which provide IPsec services, work Properly and provide their network security services well In the IPv6 network. In this paper, we design SERDL(Security Evaluation Rule Description Language) and rule execution tool for evaluating security of the IPv6 network, and we provide implementation details. The system Is divided into following parts : User Interface part, Rule Execution Module part, DBMS part and agent that gathering information needed for security test.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop pattern and grading method of slacks of adults women of standard somatotype to prove fitness of lower body shape. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. the 4 pattern were compared by the sensory evaluation to choose which one is more appropriate to this research. The slacks pattern developed by modification from L method. 2. The results of the sensory evaluation have down that the new slacks pattern have better fit than the traditional pattern. 3. The standard sized patterns were graded using Moonwha grading rule as a traditional one and the new grading rule. The new grading rule was developed by fitting the slacks which were made by traditional grading rule. 4. The results of the sensory evaluation have down that the slacks made by the new grading rule developed in this work have better fit than the ones made by the traditional grading rule.

  • The objectives of this study were to identify 1) the steps of information processing and evaluation in clothing purchase decision making, 2) evaluative criteria and determinant attributes at each step, 3) decision making rule, and 4) the effect of clothing involvement on information processing and evaluation. The data were obtained 71 female adults using questionnaire, observation and protocol in real shopping behavior. Consumer's information processing and evaluation was a circulated process composed of multi-steps. Consumer considered aesthetic and intrinsic evaluative criteria to be important and used compensatory and noncompensatory rule together at each decision making step. Clothing involvement had an partial effect on information processing and evaluation.

  • An efficient adaptive scheme based on a triple mixed quadrature rule of precision nine for approximate evaluation of line integral of analytic functions has been constructed. At first, a mixed quadrature rule SM1(f) has been formed using Gauss-Legendre three point transformed rule and five point Booles transformed rule. A suitable linear combination of the resulting rule and Clenshaw-Curtis seven point rule gives a new mixed quadrature rule SM10(f). This mixed rule is termed as triple mixed quadrature rule. An adaptive quadrature scheme is designed. Some test integrals having analytic function integrands have been evaluated using the triple mixed rule and its constituent rules in non-adaptive mode. The same set of test integrals have been evaluated using those rules as base rules in the adaptive scheme. The triple mixed rule based adaptive scheme is found to be the most effective.

  • We introduce an AFES(Adaptive Fuzzy Evaluation System) that applies an evaluation system used to existing LCMS(Learning Contents Management System) to a fuzzy reasoning rule. The AFES confers a course level on the learner through a fuzzy diagnostic evaluation before the learner enters a learning course. After the learner completes a learning course through the tailored learning path that is suitable for the learner's level, the AFES confers a final grade on the learner by means of fuzzy final evaluation. The biggest characteristic of the AFES is a grade rule of the final grade. Although different learners get the same number of correct answers to the same number of Questions, AFES flexibly confers the different final grade on the learner by means of the number of 125's fuzzy reasoning rules.

  • In this paper, we evaluate the quality of synthesized speech by rule using the LPC CD as a objective measure, and then compare the test result with the subjective one. Speech used for the test consists of 108 words which are selected by word construction method using Korean attribute and frequency distribution, synthesized by demi-syllable rule. By evaluating the quality of synthesized speech by reule objectively, we have tried to resolve the problems such as lots of evaluation time, expansion of test scale, and variables of analysis result arised by subjective measure. We have, also, proved the validity of the objective test using the LPC CD, by comparing intelligibility which is the index for the subjective quality evaluation of synthesized speech by rule with MOS. From this results, we can provide a guide for quality assessment that would be useful in the R&D of synthesis method and the commercial products using synthesized speech.

  • Fusion of decisions from multiple distributed sensor nodes is studied in this work. Based on the canonical parallel fusion model, we derive the optimal likelihood ratio based fusion rule with the assumptions of the generalized Gaussian noise model and the arbitrary fading channel. This optimal fusion rule, however, requires the complete knowledge of the channels and the detection performance of local sensor nodes. To mitigate these requirements and to provide near optimum performance, we derive suboptimum fusion rules by using high and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) approximations to the optimal fusion rule. Performance evaluation is conducted through simulations.

  • This study was to identify dimensions of subjective knowledge and to test the structural model of the effect of subjective knowledge on information search and evaluation rules for apparel products. A questionnaire was administered to 668 females living in Seoul, Taejon, and Cheongju, and the data were analysed by using LISREL 8. The results of this study were as follows: First, consumers' subjective knowledge regarding apparel products consisted of five factors; Style knowledge, Fashion Knowledge, Store Knowledge, Fabric/Management Knowledge, and Brand knowledge. Those factors were influenced by the experience related with apparel products. Second, the subjective knowledge influenced information searches. That is, internal search was significantly influenced by fashion knowledge and store knowledge, while external search was significantly influenced by fashion knowledge and fabric/management knowledge. Third, the subjective knowledge had indirect effects on evaluation rules via search activities (e.g., internal and external), suggesting that the internal search was mediated in relationship between subjective knowledge and compensatory rule, while the urtemal search was mediated in the relationship between subjective knowledge and noncompensatory rule. Therefore, this study implies that subjective knowledge plays an important role to explain consumers' decision making processes such as information search and evaluation.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the operation and personal information management of public and private kindergarten homepages. Methods: A total of 2,846 kindergartens were selected from the I-Sarang portal service for analyzing operation, and 217 self-operating homepages were selected for evaluating management. Seven evaluation items from three domains (information gathering procedures and scope, information security, and management of file exposure protection) were used. Wireshark and Google were used for analyzing some evaluation items. Results: The operating ratio of kindergarten homepages was low and most of the kindergartens self-operated their homepages. The evaluation of the information gathering procedures and scope showed that the rule of consent process was not rigidly followed but that the rule of legality for information gathering was followed. Items related to information security were followed at very low levels. As for the management of file exposure protection, the evaluation of items related to the prevention of attachment disclosure showed that the rule of protecting personal information included in an attached file was followed but that the notice regarding information protection was not. Across all evaluation items, the level of personal information management was higher in public (vs. private) kindergartens. Conclusion: These results indicate methods to more securely and effectively manage personal information on kindergarten homepages.
