아동가장의 심리적 복지에 관한 문화기술적 접근 (An Ethnographic approach to the Study of The Psychological Welfare of Teenage Heads of Family)

  • Employing an ethnographic approach, this case study analyzed the psychological welfare of 2 teenage and one early-twenties heads of family. The subjects were Sun-Ju (female, age 22, seamstress), Ji-Hyun (female, age 14, junior high school student), and Seung-Hwan (male, age 16, junior high school student). This study was processed between 9 March 1996 and 11 May 1996. The results show that teenage and early-twenties heads of family have ambivalent feelings, meaning two extreme psychological conditions that are not consistent. Three types of teenage-early twenties heads of family ambivalence were caused by diverse role dimensions (e.g., nursing, supporter, beneficiary, and independent subject roles). Revision of the present welfare system, particularly the protection system For teenage-early twenties heads of family was recommended. Further research is also needed to determine various factors harmful to their psychological welfare.

사서의 직업사회화 영향요인 (An Ethnographic Study of Factors Contributing to the Occupational Socialization of Librarians)

  • 본 연구는 사서의 직업사회화에 관한 총체적인 행위이론을 도출하기 위한 질적 다방법연구의 한 접근으로, 문화기술연구법을 적용하여 사서의 직업 사회화에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인가를 밝히고 그 이해를 도모하고자 하는 연구이다. 본 연구의 정보제보자는 학부에서 문헌정보학(도서관학)을 전공하고, 현재 서울과 경기지역의 공공, 대학, 학교, 전문도서관에서 5년 이상의 정규직 경험을 가지고 있는 16명의 현직 사서 및 사서교사들이다. 자료수집은 개별적으로 3회의 개방적 및 반구조적인 심층면담 및 1회의 부분적 참여관찰을 하였다. 분석 결과 사서직의 직업사회화의 영향요인으로 '대학의 전공교육', '사회적 변화', '업무', '인간관계', '이용자', '도서관 조직풍토', '사회적 인식', '전문성 향상 노력'이 도출되었다. 또한 이들 요인을 통합하는 문화적 주제는 '사서직에 대해 몰인식(沒認識)하는 현실을 인내하면서 현직 유지하기'로 나타났다. 이 '인내하기'는 제보자들이 학교에서 배우고 실무에서 재인식한 사서직의 가치와 사회적으로 통용되고 인식되는 가치와의 격차에서 발생하는 구체적인 불이익, 몰인식, 피해의식에 대한 사회화 대응전략이기도 하다.

  • 무선 네트워크의 대역폭 향상 및 무선 단말기의 컨버전스화로 인해 다양한 데이터 서비스가 기능해 지고 있으며 특히 대기 화면은 이러한 모바일 서비스의 Entry Poin 로써 서비스 제공자 및 사용자의 요구에 의해 좀 더 많은 Customize 가 가능한 공간으로 점차 진화하고 있다. 이에 따라 국 내외 이동 통신사와 단말 제조사들은 각기 개성 있는 대기화면 모바일 위젯 서비스를 출시하고 있으나 대부분의 경우 서비스 제공자의 관점에서 기획되어 아직까지는 사용자들의 높은 호응을 받고 있지 않다고 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 사용자의 Latent 한 Core Needs 를 파악하기 위해 Ethnographic Observation 조사 기법과 Online Survey 및 FGI 를 병행하여 사용자가 일상생활에서 가치를 두는 시사점을 발굴하고 이를 통해 모바일 위젯 서비스를 기획/개발하는데 반영할 수 있는 UI Feature 들을 도출하였다.

네티즌의 아바타 소비에서의 자기고양 정서경험 -민속지적 면접을 이용하여 (Netizen's Self-Enhancing Emotional Experiences in Avatar Consumption - Using Ethnographic Interviews)

  • It is necessary to understand netizen's emotional experiences in avatar consumption. We studied the emotional experience through ethnographic interviews with six informants. In this study, we used the descriptive questions, structural questions, and comparative questions. Netizen's self-enhancing emotional experience were divided into two emotional experiences: emotional experiences in one's world and emotional experiences in relationship with others. First, emotional experience in one's world included self-satisfaction, releasing stress, catharsis, immersion, desire of change, and sense of achievement. Second, emotional experiences in relationship with others were divided into self-enhancing emotional experiences and self-humbling emotional experience. Self-enhancing emotional experiences included the relative satisfaction, the desire of showing off/distinction, and the desire of conformity. Self-humbling emotional experience included the feeling of inferiority.

유치원에서의 장애유아 통합교육 운영에 대한 교사의 경험과 인식에 관한 문화기술적 탐구 (An Ethnographic Inquiry on Teachers' Experience and Perception of the Practice of Mainstreaming of Young Children with Disabilities in Kindergarten)

  • This study investigated kindergarten teachers'experience and perception of the practice of mainstreaming for young children with disabilities. Ethnographic research methodology included participant observation and in-depth interviews. Participants were 8 teachers of classrooms mainstreaming young children with disabilities. Results were that: most mainstreaming classroom teachers perceived the necessity of the practice of mainstreaming for young children with disabilities in the kindergarten. They felt the necessity of whole mainstreaming in the kindergarten. Most mainstreaming classroom teachers recognized that mainstreaming classroom teachers need to have professional knowledge for the successful practice of mainstreaming young children with disabilities in kindergarten.

한국 성인당뇨병 환자의 식생활에 관한 문화기술적 연구 (An Ethnographic Study on Eating Styles of Adult Diabetics in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore adult diabetics' eating styles and factors which influence them. Method: The study adopted an ethnographic method based on a perspective which views the eating style as a cultural phenomenon. Data was collected through a personal interview, participant observation, and documented materials from Oct.2001 to Sept. 2002. In this study, fifteen adult diabetics, with an average age of 57, participated. Data analysis was done by the Spradley's taxonomic analysis technique. Result: The patients' eating styles were rooted in their viewpoint on illness as well as the meaning of food. Eating styles were classified into 4 types: Pathology-centered, symptom-centered, need-centered, and role-centered. Conclusion: A conventional approach to the treatment and management of diabetes did not consider the patient's inner world which may play an important role in the successful management of the disease. We found that it was critical for health care personnel to understand patients' values, beliefs and their way of life in order to facilitate the most successful self-care diet.

만 2세 교육과정에서 영아들이 교사에게 시도하는 개별적인 상호작용에 관한 문화기술적 연구 (An Ethnographic Approach to Infants' Attempts at Interactions with Their Teacher in the Two-Year-Old Curriculum of a Child Care Center)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate infants' individual attempts at interaction with their teachers in the two-year-old class curriculum of a child care center. To achieve this aim, this study analyzed both the types of interactions that infants attempted with their teachers, as well as the underlying message contained in infants' attempts at of interacting. This study used the complete participation observation methodology following an ethnographic approach, a research method which can help us see the whole picture by tracing the main causes and connections. The participants in this study were 13 infants and their teachers in 2 two-year-old classes (Hope and Love) of the Vision Child Care Center located in G city. The researcher, who was also a Hope-class teacher, ad as an observer, and the Love-class teacher acted as an assistant observer. Participant observation was made everyday except the days when field trips and group activities wewe planned, from october 2009 to January 2010. A variety of methods were used to collect materials, such as participant observation, in-depth interviews and collection of documents.

거주자 생활중심으로 본 경기 고양 전통민가 연구 - 폐쇄형 ㄱㄴ자집을 중심으로 - (A Study on the 'Closed ㄱㄴ Type' of Traditional Folk Housing in Goyang, Gyonggi-do, Focused to Dweller's Life)

  • Through a field study of the folk houses, 'Closed ㄱㄴ Type' in Goyang-si, Gyonggj-do, focused on the dweller's life by the method of ethnographic interview, observation, and physical survey. L and opposite L type of inner and outer buildings form a closed inner court, and innermost backyard for woman is enclosed by fence. Form and space of the house contains dweller's traditional life. Outer space of a front gate becomes semiprivate space, for thrashing and piling up harvest and raising vegetables and pigs. Confucius principle does not fully dominate dweller's life of ancestral rite at Daecheong floor, and separation of man's and woman's quarter. Superstitious worship activities took place for lord of site and house. In everyday life, Anbang, inner main room, is assigned for parent's quarter instead of woman's quarter, and Geornbang, next room, was for son's family. Anbang has symbolic meaning for a place of deathbed. House contains agricultural activities, crop harvesting, thrashing, putting into storage, hulling rice, and keeping grain near kitchen. At present, rooms are needed more; sheds are made into rooms, rooms are enlarged toward outside, half outside space like Daechong floor becomes interior space by sash screen. And modern facilities of kitchen and bathroom are equipped for convenience. At the end, meaning and generative principle of those forms are discovered.
