This paper proposed frequency estimation the method of distorted sinusoidal signals by harmoics. An approximate estimation based on FFT and the accurate basic frequency was estimated by proposed method with Fourer Series, and the harmonics were estimated by the basic frequency. The sinusoidal signals is extracted by filter banks based on the estimated hamonics. The rate of basic and hamonics power is estimated by the extracted sinusoidal signals and we developed their algorithm and programs.
An acoustic feedback canceller has some problems that are difficult to remove the acoustic feedback through acoustic feedback path. In this paper, a new method of acoustic feedback cancellation scheme is proposed using spectral subtraction. Microphone input signals are subtracted by estimated feedback signals which are estimated by Wiener filter using the correlation between microphone input signals and output signals of receiver.

The objective criterion is necessary to decide the signal for vehicle audio. In this time, the signals have decided by golden ear or some simple parameters. In this paper, we propose the system for sound quality assessment in the vehicle audio signals. The vehicle audio signals were recorded in many vehicles by same condition. From these signals, objective and subjective parameters were extracted and using these signals listening test was done. The function was estimated between three results by simple neural network system. The score of arbitrary signal can be estimated using the function made by three results. In this way, Sound signal quality is assessed objectively.
This paper deals with a defect classification technique that considers the structural characteristics of a refrigerant compressor. First, the pressure pulsation of the refrigerant flowing in the suction pipe of a normal compressor was measured at the same time as the acceleration of the shell surface, and then the transfer function between the two signals was estimated. Next, the frequency-weighted acceleration signals of the defect classification target compressors were generated using the estimated transfer function. The estimation of the variance of the transfer function is presented to formulate the frequency-weighted acceleration signals. The estimated frequency-weighted accelerations were applied to defect classification using frequency-domain features. Experiments were performed using commercial compressors to verify the technique. The results confirmed that it is possible to perform an effective defect classification of the refrigerant compressor by the shell surface acceleration of the compressor. The proposed method could make it possible to improve the total inspection performance for compressors in a mass-production line.
The reflectometry for locating the fault at a cable is the same as a problem estimating the time delay between the incident and the reflected signals. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating the time delay between the two signals. The proposed method is based on the modeling of the Gaussian enveloped linear chirp signal in the Gaussian noise environment. The phase and the instantaneous frequency of the received signal are estimated by linear Kalman filtering. From the estimated instantaneous frequency, we can measure the time interval between the center frequencies of the incident and the reflected signals. The time interval is the same as the time delay between the incident and the reflected signals. In a simulation assuming that the cable has open fault at the end of the cable, the proposed method showed a good result in estimating the time delay.
There have been many questionnaires, catecholeamins analysis and bio-signal analysis to analyze human stress condition through out the years, and especially researches in bio-signal analysis have been actively increasing. The purpose of our research is Quantitative analysis of stress with synthesis of bio-signals. The stress status was estimated using the bio-signals and fuzzy theory which combines these signals and physiological knowledge. Stress was estimated by a 'coin-stacking' experiment with two type-relax and stress status. To do the experiment EMG, respiration, periphery temperature, heart rate and skin conductances were used to evaluate human stress stages. The system was tested to 10 healthy persons and achieved a template of a stress progress and stress variations were classified to 4 steps by continuous or rising status of stress progress.

The present study explained the phenomenon that low frequency oscillation is synchronized with discrete data obtained from a wide area system, and a sync search method. When a disturbance occurs in an power system, various controllers operate in order to maintain synchronization. If the system's damping is poor, low frequency oscillations continue for a long time and the oscillations are synchronized with one another at specific frequency. The present study estimated dominant modes, magnitude and phase of signals by applying parameter estimation methods to discrete signals obtained from an power system, and performed sync search among wide area signals by comparing the estimated data. Sync search was performed by selecting those with the same frequency and damping constant from dominant oscillation modes included in a large number of signals, and comparing their magnitude and phase. In addition, we defined sync indexes in order to indicate the degree of sync between areas in a wide area system. Furthermore, we proposed a wide area sync search method by normalizing mode magnitude in discrete data obtained from critical generator of the wide area. By applying the sync search method and sync indexes proposed in this study to two area systems, we demonstrated that sync scanning can be performed for discrete signals obtained from power systems.
The perturbation parameters like jitter, shimmer, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are largely estimated in the particular segment from the subjective or whole portion of the given pathological voice signal although there are many possible regions to be able to analyze the voice signals. In this paper, the pathological voice signals were classified as type 1, 2, 3, or 4 according to narrow band spectrogram and the value differences of the perturbation parameters extracted in the subjective and entire portion tended to be getting bigger as from type 1 to type 4 signals. Therefore, sample selection method based on moving window to analyze type 2 and 3 signals as well as type 1 signals is proposed. Although type 3 signals cannot be analyzed using the perturbation analysis, the type 3 signals by selecting out the samples in which error count is less than 10 through moving window were analyzed. At present, there is no method to be able to analyze the type 4 signals. Future research will endeavor to determine the best way to evaluate such voices.
For the diagnosis of arrhythmia in the heart system, the QRS complex of ECG signals is used in many cases. The rejection of the noise in ECG signals is important to acquisition of exact QRS complex. This paper presents some experimental results about instantaneous bandwidth estimation and noise rejection of ECG signals with the purpose of rejection of the 60 Hz power noise and the motion artifacts such as EMG signals and contact noise. ECG signals corrupted by noise are cleaned by using the variable bandwidth filter. For the filtering of ECG signals with noise, the instantaneous bandwidth of the signals is estimated by analysis of time-frequency representation of ECG signal.
In this paper, center frequency down slift of ultrasonic echo signals which for the measurements of frequency dependent attenuation in the biological tissue are estimated. Center frequency down shift of echo-signals are estimated after signal spectrum analysis of whole echo-signals. In case of signal spectrums are simple, estimation of down shift frequency is very simple and in case of complicate spectrum, estimation of down shift frequency is depend on spectral shape. In case of unable to estimate, frequency dependence of medium is nonlinear(n) 1), in which upper shift of spectrums are presented. In case of unable to estimate, spectrum analysis are performed at local position. At consquence, we know that spectral dispersions are caused complicately by biological tissue layer.
