High-frequency induction heating equipment can heat the metal by applying a High-Frequency power to the resonant circuit. The resonance circuit is composed of the work coil and the conduction-cooled power capacitor, it influences the performance of the heat treatment equipment according to the characteristics of the capacitor. However, dependence on conduction-cooled power capacitor's import is high due to lack of core technology research and development. Minimizing the generation of internal heat transmitted inside during LC resonance, reduce the reactive power loss, there is a need for a capacitor within the voltage characteristic outstanding. To implement localization it is vital that prior study of the analysis on the frequency response characteristic for the finished capacitor advanced manufacturer be implemented. Studying the interpolation method to read the value at any point of the characteristic curve for a given log-log scale was applied to the analysis tool of the capacitor by my proposed algorithm. The simulation for reproducing frequency response curves was attempted by assuming a capacitor in a simplified series equivalent RC circuit to obtain the equivalent series resistance value. It was confirmed that the reproduction rate was the result value above 83% as compared to the simulation of the properties and characteristics on the actual reactive power for Peak value, and that the algorithm can be applicable when analyzing and predicting the characteristic curves of a simpled model capacitor.

One of the consistent nuisances in accurate design of circuits containing coils with core is how to take into account the frequency dependence of Q of actual coils. The conventional equivalent circuit consisting of an inductance and a series (constant) resistance and possibly a parallel (constant) capacitance is of little use in this situation since the core loss itself is strongly dependent on the frequency. In order to circumvent this difficulty, in this paper, a mathematical expression for Q of a given core as a function of inductance and frequency is first assumed and parameters in this expression are optimiged so as to best fit the data provided by the core manufacturer or obtained experimentally. This expression is then utilized in accurate calculation of the frequency response of a given circuit required in the optimal design of circuits containing coils. In other words the proposed approach is an effective combination of an approximate expression of coil's Q and circuit optimisation technique, which seems to have solved, to a great extent, the stated difficulty associated with actual coils. As for the optimization technique, ths Fletcher-Powell procedure was employed and one example was given to illustrate the proposed approach.

In this study, we have prepared, as the pluse power source, a commercially supplied Li-ion battery with a capacity of 700 mAh and AC resistivity of 60 md at 1 kHz and nonaqeous asymmetric hybrid capacitor composed of an activated carbon cathode and MCMB anode, and have examined the electrochemical characteristics of hybrid capacitor and the pulse performances of parallel connected hybrid capacitor/Li-ion battery source. The nonaqueous asymmetric hybrid capacitors constituted with each stack number of pairs composed of the cathode, the porous separator and the anode electrode were housed in Al-laminated film cell. The 10 stacked hybrid capacitor, which was charged and discharged at a constant current at 0.25 $mA/cm^2$ between 3 and 4.3 V, has exhibited the capacitance of 108F and the lowest equivalent series resistance was 32 $m{\Omega}$ at 1 kHz. On the other hand, the enhanced run time of Li-ion battery assisted by the hybrid capacitor was obtained with increasing of current density and pulse width in Pulse mode. The best improvement, $84\;\%$ for hybrid capacitor/Li-ion battery was obtained in the condition of a 7C-rate pulse (100 msec)/0.5C-rate standby/$10\;\%$ duty cycle.
MnCo2S4/CoS2 electrode with highly accessible electroactive sites is prepared using the hydrothermal method. The electrode exhibits an areal capacitance of 0.75 Fcm-2 at 6 mAcm-2 in 1 M KOH. The capacitance is further increased to 2.06 Fcm-2 by adding K3Fe(CN)6 and K4Fe(CN)6 (a redox couple) to KOH. This increment is associated with the redox-active properties of cobalt and manganese transition metals, as well as the ion pair of [Fe(CN)6]-3/[Fe(CN)6]-4. The capacitance retention of the MnCo2S4/CoS2 electrode is 87.5% for successive 4000 charge-discharge cycles at 10 mAcm-2 in a composite electrolyte system of KOH and ferri/ferrocyanide. The capacitance enhancement is supported by the lowest equivalent series resistance (0.62 Ωcm-2) of MnCo2S4/CoS2 in the presence of redox additive couple compared with the bare KOH electrolyte.
The constant on-time current-mode controlled (COT-CMC) switching dc-dc converter is stable, with no subharmonic oscillation in its current loop when a voltage ripple in its outer voltage loop is ignored. However, when its output capacitance is small or its feedback gain is high, subharmonic oscillation may occur in a COT-CMC buck converter with a proportional-integral (PI) compensator. To investigate the subharmonic instability of COT-CMC buck converters with a PI compensator, an accurate reduced-order asynchronous-switching map model of a COT-CMC buck converter with a PI compensator is established. Based on this, the instability behaviors caused by output capacitance and feedback gain are investigated. Furthermore, an approximate instability condition is obtained and design-oriented stability boundaries in different circuit parameter spaces are yielded. The analysis results show that the instability of COT-CMC buck converters with a PI compensator is mainly affected by the output capacitance, output capacitor equivalent series resistance (ESR), feedback gain, current-sensing gain and constant on-time. The study results of this paper are helpful for the circuit parameter design of COT-CMC switching dc-dc converters. Experimental results are provided to verify the analysis results.
Spherical Li4Ti5O12 and Li4Ti5O12 carbon nanotube (CNT) composites were synthesized using a colloid system. The electrochemical properties of the composites were thoroughly examined to determine their applicability as hybrid capacitor anodes. The electrical conductivity of the spherical Li4Ti5O12-CNT composite was improved over that of the spherical Li4Ti5O12 composite. The synthesized composites were utilized as the anode of a hybrid capacitor, which was assembled with an activated carbon (AC) positive electrode. The CNTs attached on the spherical Li4Ti5O12 particles contributed to a 51% reduction of the equivalent series of resistance of the Li4Ti5O12-CNTs/AC hybrid capacitor compared to the Li4Ti5O12/AC hybrid capacitor. Moreover, the Li4Ti5O12-CNTs/AC hybrid capacitor showed a larger capacitance than the Li4Ti5O12/AC hybrid capacitor; specifically, the Li4Ti5O12-CNT/AC hybrid capacitor showed 1.6 times greater capacitance at 40 cycles with a 10 mA cm−2 loading current density.

An inductor library for efficient low cost RFIC design has been developed based on a standard digital 0.18 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process. The developed library provides four structural variations that are most popular in RFIC design; standard spiral structure, patterned ground shield(PGS) structure to enhance quality factor, stacked structure to enable high inductance values in a given silicon area, multilayer structure to lower series resistance. Electromagnetic simulation, equivalent circuit, and parameter extraction processes have been verified based on measurement results. The extensive measurement and simulation results of the inductor library can be a great asset for low cost RFIC design and development.

This work describes the effect of the number of roll pressing and the composition of carbon black on the electric and mechanical properties of carbon-PTFE electrode, in which composition is MSP 20 : carbon black: PTFE = 95-x : x : 5 wt.%. It was found that the best electric and mechanical properties were obtained in sheet electrode roll-pressed for about 15 times and in sheet electrode, in which composition is MSP 20 : carbon black: PTFE = 80 : 15 : 5 wt.%. These behaviors could be explained by the network structure of PTFE fibrils and conducting paths linked with carbon blacks, respectively. On the other hand, cell capacitor using the sheet electrode with 15 wt.% of carbon black attached on aluminum current collector with the electric conductive adhesive, in composition is carbon black : CMC = 70 : 30 wt.%, has exhibited the best rate capability in the current range of $0.5mA/cm^2$$100mA/cm^2$ and the lowest equivalent series resistance.

In most design codes, soils are classified as either sandy or clayey soils, and appropriate design equations for each soil type are used to estimate their soil behaviour. However, sand-fine mixtures, which are typically referred to as intermediate soils, are somewhere at the middle of sandy or clayey soils, and therefore a unified interpretation of soil behaviour is necessary. In this paper, a series of cyclic shear tests were carried out for three different combinations of sand-fine mixtures with various fines content. Silica-sand mixture and fines (Iwakuni natural clay, Tottori silt, kaolinite) were mixed together with various mass ratios, while paying attention to the changes of void ratios expressed in terms of sand structure. The cyclic shear strengths of the mixtures below the threshold fines content were examined with the increasing fines contents. As a result, as the fines contents increased, their cyclic deviator stress ratios decreased for dense samples while it increased for loose samples. Additionally, cyclic deviator stress ratio of the mixtures was estimated using the concept of equivalent granular void ratio.
With impedance spectrum measurements, impedance was studied in the interface between sample solutions for $K^+-ion$ selective PVC membrane electrode containing neutral carriers [dibenzo-18-crown-6 (D18Cr6) and valinomycine (Val)]. Response characteristics of electrode were examined by measuring AC impedance spectra that were resulted from the chemical structure and the content of carrier, variation of plasticizer, membrane thickness, doping of base electrolytes, and concentration variation of sample solution. Transport characteristics of PVC membrane electrode were also studied. It was found that the equivalent circuit for the membrane in $K^+$ solution could be expressed by a series combination of solution resistance and a parallel circuit consisting of the bulk resistance and geometric capacitance of the membrane system. But the charge transfer resistance and Warburg resistance were overlapped a little in the low concentration and low frequency ranges. The carrier, D18Cr6 was best for electrode and impedance characteristics, and ideal electrode characteristics were appeared especially in case of doping of the base electrolyte[potassium tetraphenylborate(TPB)]. The optimum carrier content was about 3.23 wt% in case of D18Cr6 and Val. DBP was best as a plasticizer. As membrane thickness decreased the impedance characteristics was improved, but electrode characteristics were lowered for membrane thickness below the optimum. In the case of D18Cr6, the selectivity coefficients by the mixed solution method for the $K^+$ ion were the order of $NH_4{^+}>Ca^{2+}>Mg^{2+}>Na^+$.
