Slot optimization of cage rotor for Inverter-fed 3-phase Induction Motor (인버터 구동 유도전동기의 회전자 슬롯형상 최적화)

  • A simple analysis method for inverter-fed induction motor using F.E.M and equivalent circuit is proposed. And an optimum shape of rotor slot for 2Hp inverter-fed induction motor is determined by combining the proposed analysis method and an optimization algorithm. Conjugate gradient method is used for the optimization algorithm. The optimization is performed for higher efficiency and reduction of harmonic loss in the inverter-fed induction motor. The optimization results are verified by comparing with those of the time-step F.E.A and the experiment.

Analysis of Electro-magnetic Wave radiating from an Ignition Plug and High-voltage Cable inside an Engine Room (자동차의 점화 플러그와 고압 케이블에서 발생하는 전자파에 대한 해석)

  • This paper presents the frequency range and an analysis method to find the dominant source of electro-magnetic wave which originates from a spark ignition in engine room. Applying the distributed constant equivalent circuit theory the radiation of probable electro-magnetic wave around an ignition plug and a high voltage cable is studied analytically. Experimental studies are also conducted by measuring the frequency spectrum to obtain the radiating characteristics of electro-magnetic wave. Results from both analytical and experimental studies confirm that an ignition plug and a high voltage cable are dominant sources of electro-magnetic wave and that the radiating frequency is ranged from 1.3[GHz] to 2[GHz] band.

  • In this paper, a PWM Cuk AC-AC converter is modelled by using complex circuit DQ transformation whereby the equivalent model is obtained which has the complete information of the Cuk converter. Using the model, the dynamicc characteristics equations such as state equations is analytically obtained. Finally, the PSIM simulation show the validity of the modelling and analysis.

  • This study is for a design of a spindle motor for 1.8 inch hard disk drives(HDDs). Equivalent magnetic circuit model is applied for a basic design of the motor, a specific configuration design and magnetic distribution characteristics are confirmed using finite element analysis. Besides, thrust forces generated between rotor and stator core and thrust pad are calculated for pressure analysis of fluid dynamic bearings.

  • In this paper, the harmonic loss of the inverter driven induction motor was analyzed. It was analyzed through the theoretical consideration on the variations of equivalent circuit constants, and harmonic losses, including the effects of resistance increase and inductance decrease of stator, not through the general method that considering just the effects of the harmonic losses of only the rotor. It was verified by comparing the harmonic analysis results with the test results for HHI's inverter driven motor.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic analysis of doubly-fed induction generators for wind power system. The 3-phase voltage equations for stator and rotor of doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) are derived and then, the equivalent circuit and mechanical output power of induction generators are obtained by converting the 3-phase voltage into do voltage equation. Finally, the dynamic characteristics such as torque, speed and voltage for rotor of DFIG are presented, for the case when wind is considered.

  • For a low dielectric constant inter-metal dielectric application, the low-k SiCOH film with a dielectric constant of 2.8-3.2 has been deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition with decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexane, and helium which is carrier gas. In this work, we investigated chemical deposition rate, dielectric constant, characterization of plasma polymer films according to temperature(25C-200C) of substrate and change of component concentration. We measured impedance by using V-I prove during process. From experimental result, deposition rate decrease with increasing temperature. Through real time impedance analysis of chamber, we find corelation between film thickness and impedance by assuming equivalent circuit.

  • In this paper, a hardware compiler for symbolic description language(SDL) is proposed for logic design automation. Lexical analysis is performed for SDL which describes the behavioral characteristics of a digital system at the register transfer level by the proposed algorithm I. The algorithm I is proposed to get the expressions for the control unit and for the data transfer unit. In order to obtain the network description language(NDL) expressions equivalent to gate-level logic circuits, another algorithm, the the algorithm II, is proposed. Syntax analysis for the data formed by the algorithm I is also Performed using circuit elements such as D Flip-Flop, 2-input AND, OR, and NOT gates. This SDL hardware compiler is implemented in the programming language C(VAX-11/750(UNIX)), and its efficiency is shown by experiments with logic design examples.

A Study on the High Frequency Model of Pole-transformers (주상 변압기의 고주파 모델에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the high frequency models of pole-transformers are provided to confirm the feasibility of PLC systems between high and low voltage distribution systems. The impedance of transformers is measured to verify the characteristics of transformers at high frequency from 100[kHz] to 1[MHz] and the equivalent circuits of the transformers were designed based on the measured impedance. The signals transmitted from the primary and the secondary sides of the transformers were measured, respectively. The transmission loss of the transformers was obtained by the measured signals. Numerical analysis using the equivalent circuit is compared to the measured signals. The possibility of communication through pole-transformers is presented by experiments and simulations.
