The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of departures from normality and equal variance on the two-sample test when the variances are unknown. We have found that type I error brought about a little bit change which is ignorable in relation to kurtosis. But the change of type I error was mainly based on the skewness of the parent population. In introductory statistics classes where data analysis includes techniques for detecting skewness of two populations, we recommend the two-sample t-test when maximal skewness of two populations is smalter than the value 4 when the variances seem equal. Furthermore, our simulations reveal that the two-sample t-test appears somewhat more robust than that of z-test if the assumption of equal variance is satisfied. In the case of unequal variance, the two-sample t-test appears somewhat more robust provided the t-statistic using Satterthwaite's approximate degrees of freedom.

We determine the rotation velocities of 108 spiral and irregular galaxies (XV-Sample) from first-order rotation curves from position-velocity maps, based on short 21-cm observations with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT). To test the usual random motion corrections, we compare the global HI linewidths and the rotation velocities, obtained from kinematical fits to two-dimensional velocity fields for a sample of 28 galaxies (RC-Sample), and find that the most frequently used correction formulae (Tully & Fouque 1985) are not very satisfactory. The rotation velocity parameter (the random-motion corrected HI linewidth: W?), derived with these corrections, may be statistically equal to two times the true rotation velocity, but in individual cases the differences can be large. We analyse, for both RC- and XV-Samples, the dependence of the slope of, and scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation on the definition of the rotation velocity parameters- For the RC-Sample, we find that the scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation can be reduced considerably when the rotation velocities derived from rotation curves are used instead of the random-motion corrected global H I linewidths. No such reduction in the scatter is seen for XV-Sample. We conclude that the reduction of the scatter in the Tully-Fisher relation seems to be related to the use of two-dimensional velocity information: accurate rotation velocity and kinematical inclination.

The changes of neighbor relation by joining communal childcare cooperative are as follows. Neighbors who are cooperative members are consultant who advise on childcare and communal parents who nurture children in communal local society. They are also consultant on problems of couples because one can reveal difficulties and troubles in the relation with the spouse easily to the neighbors. They admit gradually that their daily life can also be shared with other families. Living with neighbors extend the boundary of family and form a sound family culture. On the other hand, because their relationship is satisfactory, they have no need to form relationship with neighbors who are not cooperative members. They regard neighbors who are not cooperative members as 'peoples with different color from us'. Also they recognize exclusive eyesight from neighbor who are not cooperative members. The changes of family relation by joining communal childcare cooperative are as follows. In the relationship between wife and husband, both husband and wife take equal responsibility of childcare and that husband gets to familiar with household matters. In the relationship between parents and children, equality comes true and parents get to blow wars to be good parents. And they neither attach to their children nor bear expansive delusions on their children.

This study was aimed at inquiring into the role characteristics of a early childhood teacher, who can put an act of tending & examining into practice, and organizing a role by analyzing the concrete reality based on the relationship with a early childhood teacher's role in Korea and Japan. As a result, this study could take a look at the characteristics, such as relation with conversation, relation through sensation and body, relation with familiarity, and relation by living through the cases in Korea. As for the cases in Japan, there appear the characteristics, such as relation through natural things, relation as an equal participant, relation with bodily movement, and relation with daily life. Based on the result of the analysis, this study organized a early childhood teacher's role as relationship through object-oriented language, relationship based on sensation, relationship based on fellowship, and ecological relationship.

This study tried to reveal the relation among the necessary and sufficient conditions of human relation, which is the core concept of human-centered counseling. The relation of these three conditions are quite different according to what we take as the main content of authenticity. If we take congruence as its content, as Rogers did in his early academic years, three conditions are equal in their importance as instruments which counselor can use. But, if we take presence as its content, as Rogers did in his later academic years, authenticity possesses central position while using empathy and unconditional positive regard as its instruments. In this relation, we can say authenticity is a continuous growing process of self realization. And it also can be sad that the three necessary and sufficient conditions compose productive counseling relation inviting both counselor and client to the self realizing process.

1. Objectives The pesent study purposed to examine Dongmu Lee Je-Ma's Sasang philosophy from the viewpoint of Che-Yong relation and to understand the effect of Che-Yong relation on Dongmu philosophy. 2. Methods First, we briefly compared the concept of Che-Yong relation in Jeongju philosophy, which has a dualistic philosophical structure, with the concept of Han Suk-Ji's harmonious Che-Yong relation, which has a monistic philosophical struaure and, based on rhe result, analyzed the characteristics of rhe concept of Che-Yong in Dongmu philosophy focused on Seongmyeong rheory, Sadan rheory and Hwakchung theory in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$. 3 Results and Conclusions Jeongju philosophy is different from Dongmu philosophy in irs philosophical struaure characterized by Che-Yong relation, and the concept of Che-Yong in Dongmu philosophy forms the characteristics of Han Suk-ji's monistic harmonious Ole- Y ong relation. This produces results as follows. (1) Form a universal view of human beings centering of man's autonomous will and possibility. (2) Have a philosophical structure understood nor as a partial thought but as a total thought. (3) Assert that man has a good nature fundamentally and is obliged to practice goodness. (4) Assume that all human beings are equal. (5) It is assumed that the structural characteristics of harmonious Che-Yong relation in Dongmu philosophy can be the ground of definition of Silhak (practical science) in Oriental philosophy. It can be said that the realities of the universe and human beings can be discussed in philosophical structure with the logic of harmonious Che-Yong relation based on the unity of time and space. The philosophical logic based on the tealities can be defined as Silhak.

In this paper, we explore the economic principle behind the revenue-sharing rule for interconnection charges. First, we assert that firms can collude by splitting tile revenues equally i.e., choosing the revenue-sharing ratio equal to l/2. Also, we characterize the optimal revenue-sharing ratio in a model of horizontal interconnection and discuss the relation between the optimal ratio and the optimal access price.

We consider the situation that ${\mathbb{Z}_p}\;=\;{\mathbb{Z}/p\mathbb{Z}}$ acts freely on a closed oriented 4-manifold X with ${b_2}^{+}\;{\geq}\;2$. In this situation, we study the relation between the Seiberg-Witten invariants of X and those of the quotient manifold $X/{\mathbb{Z}}_p$. We prove that the invariants of X are equal to those of $X/{\mathbb{Z}}_p$ modulo p.

The uniform hazard spectrum of Wolsong Nuclear Power plant Site is computed in order to estimate probabilistically the characteristics of spectral ground response. The spectral hazard values calculated from the seismic zoning maps proposed by eight seismologist are combined with equal weight to produce a uniform hazard spectrum. The uniform hazardd spectra corresponding to reference probabilities of 1.0 $\times$10-4/year and 1.0$\times$10-5/year are presented, which largely depend on the spectral attenuation relation. The computational results of this study contribute to verify the conservatism of the design ground spectrum of Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant.

This paper is a study about the relationships among topologies and intuitionistic fuzzy topology induced, respectively, by approximation operators and an intuitionistic fuzzy approximation operator associated with an approximation space (X, R), when the relation R on X is precisely reflexive and transitive. In particular, we consider an intuitionistic fuzzy approximation operator on an approximation space X (i.e., a set X with a reflexive and transitive relation on it), which turns out to be an intuitionistic fuzzy closure operator. This intuitionistic fuzzy closure operator gives rise to two saturated fuzzy topologies on X and it turns out that all the level topologies of one of the fuzzy topology coincide and equal to the topology analogously induced on X by a crisp approximation operator. These observations are then applied to intuitionistic fuzzy automata.
