Meteorological factors and air pollutants are associated with respiratory diseases, and appropriate use of weather and air quality information is helpful in the management of patients with such diseases. This study was performed to investigate both the utilization of weather and air quality information by, and the needs of, patients with respiratory diseases. Questionnaires were administered to 112 patients with respiratory diseases, 60.7% of whom were female. The rates of bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease among patients were 67.0% and 10.7%, respectively. The majority of subjects (90%) responded that prevention was important for respiratory disease management and indicated that they used weather and air quality information either every day or occasionally. However, respondents underestimated the importance of weather and air quality information for disease management and were unaware of some types of weather information. The subjects agreed that respiratory diseases were sensitive to weather and air quality. The most important weather-related factors were diurnal temperature range, minimum temperature, relative humidity, and wind, while those for air quality were particulate matter and Asian dust. Information was gleaned mainly from television programs in patients aged 60 years and older and from smartphone applications for those below 60 years of age. The subjects desired additional information on the management and prevention of respiratory diseases. This study identified problems regarding the utility of weather and air quality information currently available for patients with respiratory diseases, who indicated that they desired disease-related information, including information in the form of action plans, rather than simple health- and air quality-related information. This study highlights the necessity for notification services that can be used to easily obtain information, specifically regarding disease management.

방사성폐기물 처분시설에 대한 주기적인 환경 감시 및 안전성 평가를 위한 부지정보, 시설물정보와 환경정보에 대한 체계적인 데이터베이스 구축을 위하여 부지환경종합관리시스템 (Site Information and Total Environmental database management System: SITES) 개발을 지난 2년간 수행하였다. 1차적으로 개발된 DB 시스템을 SITES ver.1.0 이라 칭하고 후속 개발되는 안전성평가시스템과 부지환경감시시스템을 포함한 시스템을 SITES ver.2.0이라 칭하여 개발하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SITES내 구성요소 중에서 부지와 환경에 대한 SITES DB 정보와 환경감시정보를 활용하여 실시간 환경감시, 예측 및 자동경보에 활용하기 위하여 개발되는 Site Environmental Monitoring System (SEMS) 모듈에 대한 설계 개념과 내용을 소개하였다.

도시생활에서 환경은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 환경요소는 스마트 도시 계획에서 꼭 다루어야 하는 주제이나, 도시 환경의 정보화 및 데이터 공유 부분은 현재 미흡한 상태여서 이를 개선할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 난징시의 스마트화의 일환으로 친환경 정보화 건설 및 서비스 수요에 대한 심층조사를 진행하였고, 난징시의 스마트 도시 계획에 부합하면서, 환경의 품질을 개선하고 환경정보 서비스를 제공하는 지능형 친환경 정보 플랫폼의 디자인 연구와 그 구축에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 또한 정보를 시각화 하는 부분에 대한 연구도 진행을 하였다. 이 결과는 난징 시 스마트 도시 구축에 중요한 모듈이다.

The EU has introduced various environmental protection policies and regulations which are stricter than accepted international standards. WEEE, RoHS, and EuP directives in the Electrical and Electronic Industry could have a direct effect on our exports to EU countries. To gradually enlarge exports to the EU, it is necessary to have a precise understanding of the EU's environmental regulations and prepare the relevant countermeasures to adequately cope with them. Korean companies should formulate concrete plans to meet the EU's environmental regulations in those industry. In order to decrease the negative effects that environmental regulations of EU give to Korea, the corporations and the government should change their present passive environmental policy and carry out the environmental- friendly policy. If Korean companies can adequately meet the standards set by the environmental policies and regulations of the EU, it will greatly enhance the competitiveness of companies in this market.

This paper provides the checklist of statistical methods in the water environmental research of Han and Nakdong river basins in South Korea. There are many errors pointed out in adopting statistical methods for the researches, as an example, basic statistical assumptions are missed for t-tests or regression analyses. Some new ideas are proposed for better researches of the river basins in Korea.

도시방재업무의 기본은 대상지역의 지형과 지물(시설물)에 대한 상호적 이해와 그에 관한 정보관리로부터 시작된다. 도시방재업무를 보다 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서는 관련 정보를 모두 수용할 수 있는 일관된 프레임 하에서 데이터를 수집하고, 모델을 생성하며, 정보를 축적하고 관리할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 도시 객체를 대상으로 표준화된 도시정보모델을 생성하는 방법 및 정보관리의 관점에서 도시모델을 방재업무에 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 방재모형 생성에 필요한 도기 객체를 분류하고, 객체별 필요속성을 도출하는 과정을 거쳐, 방재정보를 포함한 관련 정보를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 통합 데이터 스키마인 CityGML기반의 개방형 도시정보모델의 생성 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 예제모델의 구현과 검토를 통해 제시된 도시정보모델 구축 방법론의 방재업무 적용성과 활용성을 확인하였다.

국토개발사업의 사전 계획 과정에서 개발할 것인지 보전할 것인지에 대한 의사결정은 인간 활동에 영향을 줄 수 있는 편리함과 이익을 고려해야 할 뿐만 아니라, 자연환경생태에 미칠 수 있는 영향을 종합적으로 예측하고 평가할 수 있는 자료기반 및 통합적 평가기법을 요구한다. 동식물생태와 지형경관요소들은 환경부의 생태자연도를 통해서 환경영향평가에 현재 활용되고 있지만, 자연생태의 주요 구성요소 중 하나인 토양생태는 정량적인 자료와 지형정보와 연계된 정보의 부재로 환경영향평가에서 고려되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 토양생태를 포함한 자연환경과 생활환경 요소들을 망라해서 총체적 환경성을 평가할 수 있는 수치지도를 작성하고 토양생태 등급의 가중치가 친환경도로 노선 선정에 미치는 영향에 대해서 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 자연환경 요소들 중 토양생태의 가중치가 14% 이상 만 되어도 최적 친환경노선 선정에 민감하게 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해서 이제까지 환경영향 평가에서 무시되어 오던 토양생태 정보가 친환경 건설개발사업의 계획 및 기초설계 단계에서 중요하게 고려되어야 할 생태요소임을 입증할 수 있었다.

The world has faced with various environmental problems such as climatic change, global pollution, and depletion of natural resources. Conventional economic development continues not only to intensify the magnitude of the problems but also to damage growth potential of future generations. Therefore, recent manufacturers are highly required to accommodate themselves to sustainable development that aims at preventing the loss to the future generations. Moreover, the manufacturers are under heavy pressure from various environmental regulations. This paper proposes green bill of material (Green-BOM) which conforms to the environmental regulations to restructure eco-friendly manufacturing system. Green-BOM is useful for managing green product and process information to satisfy several environmental regulations by recording energy consumption, recycle rate, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), substance information, and so on.

The purpose of this study is to investigate (1) the level of childrens' concern and behavior on the environmental preservation, (2) the influential factors related to the two dependent variables above mentioned. The subjects were 286 childrens, in October, 1997, in kwangju. The data obtained were analyzed by Mean, Person's correlation, Stepwise Regression and Path Analysis. The major findings were as follows: 1) The general tendency of the childrens' concern and behavior on the environmental preservation was over the average level. 2) According to the background variables(ie: environment information contracting time, family cohesion and adaptability, biospheric orientation, egoistic orientation), the childrens' concern on the environment was significantly different. 3) According to (1) the background variables(ie: environment information contracting time, family cohesion and adaptability, concern on the environment, biospheric orientation), (2) intermediated variable(ie: concern on the environment), the childrnes' behavior on the environmental preservation was significantly different. 4) The indirect variable of the positive influence for childrnds' behavior on the environment, environment information contracting time. The indirect variable of the negative influence for childrens' the environmental behavior was egoistic orientation.
