액셀러레이터 보육프로그램과 창업자기효능감이 경쟁우위성과에 미치는 영향 연구 : 혁신역량의 매개효과를 중심으로 (A Study on the Effects of Accelerator Incubation Program and Entrepreneur Self-Efficacy on Competitive Advantage Performance : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Innovation Competence)

  • 본 연구는 액셀러레이터 보육프로그램을 경험한 스타트업 대표자를 대상으로, 액셀러레이터 보육프로그램(멘토링, 초기투자)와 창업자기효능감이 경쟁우위성과에 영향을 주는지 실증분석을 하였고, 이때 혁신역량의 매개효과도 함께 살펴보았다. 표본의 수집은 전국 액셀러레이터, 창조경제혁신센터 등이 보육한 스타트업 대표자 대상으로 수집한 334건의 표본을 Smart PLS 4.0 프로그램을 사용하여 가설을 검정하였으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 멘토링은 경쟁우위성과에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않지만, 초기투자와 창업자기효능감은 경쟁우위성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 멘토링, 초기투자, 창업자기효능감은 혁신역량에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 혁신역량은 경쟁우위성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 혁신역량은 멘토링, 초기투자, 창업자기효능감과 경쟁우위성과 간에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 결과적으로 멘토링은 경쟁우위성과에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 주지 않지만, 혁신역량을 매개로 하여 유의한 영향이 있음을 확인되었으며, 초기투자, 창업자기효능감, 혁신역량은 경쟁우위성과에 직접적으로 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났고, 혁신역량이 매개 작용으로 경쟁우위성과에 영향 관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 스타트업의 경쟁우위성과를 높이는 데 도움이 될 수 있는 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

창업기업의 성장단계별 성공요인 연구: ERIS모델을 중심으로 (A Study on Success Factors of Successful Start-up by Step: Focus on ERIS Model)

  • 창업은 국가경쟁력 강화와 일자리 창출에 핵심적인 역할을 하지만, 위험한 선택으로 인식되고 있다. 창업의 실패는 개인의 재산 손실 뿐만 아니라 국가의 경쟁력 악화와 같은 광범위한 부정적 효과를 초래할 수 있다. 본 연구는 코스닥 상장 요건의 수익성·매출액 최소기준 이상의 성과를 달성하여 지속가능한 성장의 수준에 도달하거나, 매각 또는 상장으로 EXIT을 달성한 창업기업을 성공한 창업기업으로 보고 23명의 성공한 창업가들의 실질적인 경험과 지각을 기반으로 계층화 분석(Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP)을 통해 창업 성공요인의 중요도와 우선순위를 도출하고, 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 특히, ERIS 모델을 활용하여 창업가, 자원, 산업, 전략의 4개 요소를 통합적으로 고려, 창업의 다양한 변수들을 종합적으로 분석하고, 창업의 성장단계별 특성에 따른 성공요인의 변화와 중요도를 살펴보는 것을 목표로 하여 각 단계별로 창업가들이 직면하는 도전과 기회를 구체적으로 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 창업기 성공요인의 상위요인의 중요도 순서는 창업가, 자원, 산업, 전략 순으로 나타났으며, 특히 창업가의 창업가정신과 특수 역량, 일반역량 그리고 인적자원의 중요성이 강조되었다. 성장기 성공요인의 상위요인의 중요도 순서는 창업가, 자원, 산업, 전략 순으로 나타났으며, 특히 일반역량과 창업가정신, 그리고 인적자원과 조직자원의 중요성이 강조되었다. 본 연구는 성공한 창업가의 관점에서 창업 성공요인을 분석하여, 창업자들과 정책 입안자들에게 유용한 통찰과 방향성을 제시한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

R&D 전문가들의 경력 지향성에 관한 실증적 연구 (The Career Orientations of R&D Professionals : An Empirical Analysis)

  • This study empirically examines the relationship between the career orientations of R&D professionals and their demographic characteristics (age, tenure, and education level), affiliated organizations (public and private organizations), reward systems. It further explores the contingent effects of the career orientation fit between leader and members on their performance. The results reveal that : 1) five different career orientations (technical, manager, project, technical transfer, and entrepreneur) are empirically distinguished, 2) technical orientation of R&D professionals is higher in public in private sectors, 3) technical, project, and manager orientation are positively associated with the education level, while technical transfer and entrepreneur orientation are negatively associated with the education level, 4) manager and technical transfer orientation is positively related with age and tenure, 5) the career orientation fit between leader and member is closely related with job satisfaction and organization commitment, and partially related with technical performance, 6) R&D professionals with different types of career orientation exhibit different preference to various rewards. Based on these findings, this study suggests several practical implications for the design of career ladder, mentoring, and reward systems of R&D professionals.

  • This is an interview with Professor Kwang-Hyung Lee, founding Dean of KAIST Moon Soul Graduates School of Future Strategy and founder of the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering of the same university casting two questions about academics. The first question is what pattern is desirable in the evolution of research topics of an academics. While traditional researchers in science and engineering tend to focus on one subject in ever greater depth over time, Professor Lee's research agenda has spanned several new topics by gradually changing the content of the study: from artificial intelligence to bio and brain research, and to creativity development method, further to future study. The second question is about researchers' social responsibility. He has devoted to contributes to industry fields and the nation through academic activities as well as educating several successful business people, founding a new academic department and graduate school of future studies.

  • Recently Venture business in the area of information and communication industry is booming. Though Technology classification chart helps the potential entrepreneur through Survey paper and Internet Web Page, its service does not meet the customer demand. Hence Technology Classification system, which is proposed in this paper, will solve this problem by using virtual network among venture, technology experts and potential entrepreneurs. This system supports potential entrepreneurs' decision making for choice of venture business items by using dual client technology, and provides better services than existing systems by linking expert client and customer client, .

  • Inspire of increasing importance of entrepreneurs for successful new venture creation, structured educational programs for entrepreneur development are very limited in Korea. Based on the survey of existing academic programs and interviews with entrepreneurs, this study presents a new education system for entrepreneurial management and new venture creation. Specifically, seven venture educational programs are suggested. As degree programs, ⅰ) new venture interdisciplinary program and ⅱ) venture MBA program are presented. Also, ⅲ) advanced venture management program, ⅳ) venture capitalist training program, and ⅴ) potential entrepreneur training program are suggested as non-degree programs. In addition, special and supporting programs such as ⅵ) technological entrepreneurship seminar and vii) new venture forum are explained. Finally, some examples of typical entrepreneurial management courses are presented and policy implications are suggested.

창업 중소.벤처기업의 초기자금 규모 설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Early-Stage Financing Scale for Building Small & Medium Business)

  • This study aims at examining the early-stage financing scale for entrepreneur to build small & medium business. The data was collected from the DART (Data Analysis, Retrieval and Transfer System) of Korean Financial Supervisory Service(FSS) in the main. The results of this study show that small & medium business needs equipment & operation financing for about 37 months extent to reach Break-Even Point. The limitations of this study are data collections from registered firms on Korean FSS primarily and no showing about the early stage financing scale for building small & Medium Business concretely. Small & Medium business entrepreneur have to make a early stage finance plan according to a necessary equipment and operating cost in their business field for 37 months extent.

Entrepreneurial Learning and Indian Tech Startup Survival: An Empirical Investigation

  • This paper investigates the linkage between the mode of transformation of entrepreneurial learning into outcomes and the subsequent impact of these learning outcomes in enhancing the survival of high-tech startups in India. The study uses data from 45 high-tech startups headquartered across different locations in India for the purpose of analysis. Survival Analysis of the data is conducted to determine which mode of learning transformation and what type of en trepreneurial decision making preference have a significant influence on the survival of Indian high-tech startups and to what extent do they impact their survival. The results indicate that entrepreneur's prior startup experience, explorative mode of learning transformation, causal decision making of the entrepreneur and availability of funding for the startup as the key factors that reduce the time to survival of Indian high-tech startups. They also provide key insights on how these factors impact the startup survival in this region.

  • Global waste has become a global issue and we can see the new trend of discovery businesses established to focus on solving the waste problem using new renewable energy technology and the circular economy business model. This paper aims to study factors that impact green entrepreneurship in Thailand, such as environmental concern, organizational environment, founder demographics, education background, entrepreneurship awareness, as well as external factors of a business. The study analyzes the data from three qualitative in-depth interviews with green entrepreneur founders who started the businesses in polymer up-cycling, waste management, and renewable energy. The study finds overseas educational background to be one of the key main drivers for the entrepreneurial courage to decide to pursue a new business venture. By having the exposure toward the different culture, three entrepreneurs hands-on experiential learning through three key drivers who are composed of the can-do attitude, the willingness to be self-employed, and the way of seeking for the freedom to express their passions.
