  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among credibility toward publicity (CP), the attitude toward publicity (AP), enterprise images, ethical obligations, and purchase intention, and then to demonstrate the differences in the relationships according to the three socially valuable creations: job creation, environmental protection, and fair trade. The hypotheses of this study were empirically tested with data collected via an online survey. The results of path analysis indicated that CP and AP positively affected enterprise images and ethical obligations respectively. Purchase intention was influenced by AP, enterprise images, and ethical obligations, but not by CP. In addition, this study highlighted the lack of a difference in consumer responses to publicity according to the three types of socially valuable creations. These findings provide guidelines for publicity strategies to induce consumers to purchase social enterprise products for marketing managers and entrepreneurs operating social enterprises.

  • In recent years, business environments have become more complex; therefore, enterprises must be capable of responding flexibly and agilely. For these purposes, effective enterprise systems service monitoring and early decision making based on the same, emerge as core competency of the enterprise. In addition, enterprise system techniques that filter meaningful data are needed to event processing. However, the existing study related with this is nothing but discovering of service faults by monitoring depending upon API of BPEL engine or middleware, or is nothing but processing of simple events based on low-level events. Accordingly, there would be limitations to provide useful business information. In this study, we present an extended event processing model that enables delivery of more valuable and useful business information through situation detection. Primarily, the event processing architecture in an enterprise system is proposed as a definite approach, and then define an event meta-model suitable for the proposed architecture. Based on the defined model, we propose the syntax and semantics of the elements that make up the event processing language include various and progressive event operators, the rules, complex event pattern, etc. In addition, an event context mechanism is proposed to analyze more delicate events. Finally, the effectiveness and applicability of proposed approach is presented through a case study.

The organizational characteristics (organizational type, type of certification, company's region, external grants, paid employees) were set as independent variables with economic performance (sales) and social performance (employment of vulnerable class) as dependent variables. We analyzed the factors affecting the economic and social performance of social enterprises and confirmed the correlation between economic and social performance. The results of this study are as follows: First, the organizational characteristics of social enterprises showed a significant difference in sales as economic performance. External grants have no positive effect on the economic performance (sales) of social enterprises, while paid workers have a positive (+) influence on the economic performance. Second, the organizational characteristics of social enterprises showed significant differences in employment of the vulnerable class, which is social performance. Only the paid workers had a statistically significant relationship with the social performance of the social enterprise. Third, the correlation between economic performance (sales) and social performance (employment of the vulnerable class), which is the result of social enterprise, is shown. This can enhance a social enterprises' sustainable growth and self-sufficiency by improving the employment of vulnerable people, the economic performance of a social enterprise, which is sales and social performance, and ultimately can manifest the value and purpose of the social enterprise.

  • With the introduction to ebXML and web service related standards, enterprises struggle to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology to meet the complex needs of the enterprise customer. The ability to integrate and interoperate individual services within enterprise and with other enterprise's information technology infrastructure using standard-based business processes is an important element of business process management system. For over 25 years EDI has established VAN based solution of exchanging business information in electronic form. However EDI solutions are only accessible to large organizations due to the cost factor. Moreover lack of well accepted B2B business process standards is hindering the success of promoting interoperability between organizations of any size. ebXML work is focused on defining the standard B2B business process context and its runtime semantics in order to remove these hindrances. However ebXML framework does not recommend any particular implementation model to interact with enterprise internal system. This paper propose a end to end business process management architecture by applying ebXML in the front end of the enterprise system and using BPEL to integrate front end services into related services within enterprise.

However, evaluating information security level for an enterprise needs analysis of the whole enterprise organization, and a synthetic and systematic evaluation system based on it. In this study we subdivided the information security elements of the whole enterprise such as planning, environment, support, technology, and management; developed indices based on them; finally, made the information security level of the whole enterprise organization possible to be measured. And we tried to grasp the information security level of the whole enterprise organization and develop an evaluation system of information security level for suggesting a more developing direction of information security.

  • In this research, fractal approach is applied to the realization of a virtual enterprise. Virtual enterprise is a temporarily built organization to cope with new business opportunity. It is composed of diverse business partners such as suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and service providers in value chains. Therefore, communication and interoperability problems between heterogeneous participants are one of the main concerns in developing collaboration models of a virtual enterprise. Fractal-based reference model can be a solution for this problem. The term 'fractal' is used to represent a participant of the value chains. There are many advantages when participants try to embody fractal-based collaboration model such as; (1) no restriction of inner configuration, (2) guarantee of autonomy, (3) easy implementation of interfaces, etc. Fractals are self-similar, however, this does not mean that they should have same configuration. In this paper, a fractal-based collaboration model for a virtual enterprise is proposed and described with (1) a formal formulation of fractal concept, (2) functional requirements and interfaces, and (3) a goal model as a driving force of the virtual enterprise.

  • Purpose - This study aims to clarify the meanings of small enterprise and modify criteria for explaining its range. Prioritizing the number of full time workers first and the sales next are proper as a new concept and range. Research design, data, and methodology - In research, 'small company' is a basic concept because the range of its standard is categorized as a 'small company' in the policy system of small & medium business. This study focuses on the solutions with ① evaluation on sales, ② standard for excluded ones ③ regulation for excluded business types in 'Act on Protection and Support for Small Enterprise'. Results - Clarifying the range of standard with maintaining the title is advisable. The scope should resist the current criteria or adopt a new standard which contains not only full time workers but also the sales. The new one may raise the policies' effectiveness because it can sort the 1% people of small enterprises. Conclusions - However, there should be a preventive system for sorting out the non-eligible ones not conformed to the CAP for small company. Therefore, it is desirable to prepare the system with 'unsuitable ones list' or regulate large income·inappropriate business types in 'Act on protection and support for small enterprise'.
