Demand for high-grade limestone is increasing, but the production in the domestic mines has been limited due to the lack of systematic development plans and efforts to develop mining technology to improve the recovery ratio, transition to high-cost underground mining due to increasing social awareness of environmental protection, and the smallness of the domestic mining industry, etc. In this study in connection with this issue, an analysis on the recovery change by improvement of mining method was executed. 3D modeling technique was used to construct a 3D model. 3D model includes the geological structure, the limestone ore body and the underground pits and tunnels excavated at the Daepyeong District of Daesung MDI Donghae District. By using the 3D model, measured resources, reserves and ore recovery were evaluated from the results of pilot operation of the room and pillar hybrid mining method, which is a variant of room and pillar mining method. These results were compared with those obtained from the conventional mining method. The ore recovery obtained by hybrid mining method was found to be up to 71.6%, showing about 26%p. increase compared with the case of conventional mining method.
Ecotourism has the potential to boost the energy of a village as it pays keen attention to the ecosystem and the residents of the village. It is empowered by participation of and cooperation among stakeholders who are closely involved in ecotourism. However, many of them express difficulty in striking a right balance between development and conservation with regard to promoting ecotourism. Against this backdrop, this research paper investigates the structure of conflict that the stakeholders, especially those in Stork Village in Yesan County, South Chungcheong Province of Korea, experience during the process of establishment of government-led ecotourism. In addition, this study examines the problems of government-led ecotourism model and how they can be addressed. To analyze conflict structure, this paper used Q methods and found out that the budget-related stakeholders are largely divided into four groups as who; a) complain about how business profits are distributed; b) secure profits by expanding programs; c) consider human settlement, and; d) broaden people's participation. The biggest contributor to the conflicts is found that compensation was given discriminately to different jurisdictions. The second finding is that residents became less cooperative when the financial compensation did not live up to their expectation. For instance, they would demand the tourism facility physically expanded, repeatedly complain about the process of the work, and even accuse the government of degrading ecosystem. In other words, unless the compromise is reached with the residents regarding financial compensation, it could be difficult to encourage their participation and develop as a program-oriented tour. Lastly, the tour program needs to induce voluntary participation of the residents and deliver proper information on ecosystem and natural resources so as to last as sustainable ecotourism. The success of ecotourism will be subject to the cooperation of stakeholders in a region, conservation of our fragile ecosystem, and realization of sustainable growth through sharing economic benefits. This study looks into the cause of the conflicts of ecotourism sites and their structure. If this paper can bring about cooperation of stakeholders, the management and operation of ecotourism sites would be more sustainable.
Water consumption characteristics on the northern part of Seoul were analyzed using wavelet transform with a base function of Coiflets 5. It turns out that long term evolution mode detected at 212 scale in 1995 was in a shape of hyperbolic tangent over the entire period due to the development of Sanggae resident site. Furthermore, there was seasonal water demand having something to do with economic cycle which reached its peak at the ends of June and December. The amount of this additional consumption was about $1,700\;\textrm{cm}^3/hr$ on June and $500\;\textrm{cm}^3/hr$ on December. It was also shown that the periods of energy containing sinusoidal component were 3.13 day, 33.33 hr, 23.98 hr and 12 hr, respectively, and the amplitude of 23.98 hr component was the most humongous. The components of relatively short frequency detected at $2^i$[i = 1,2,…12] scale were following Gaussian PDF. The most reliable predictive models are multiple AR[32,16,23] and ARMA[20, 16, 10, 23] which the input of temperature from the view point of minimized predictive error, mutual independence or residuals and the availableness of reliable meteorological data. The predicted values of water supply were quite consistent with the measured data which cast a possibility of the deployment of the predictive model developed in this study for the optimal management of water supply facilities.
Recently, anaerobic methane production of agricultural waste biomass has received increasing attention. Until now domestic BMP (Biochemical methane potential) studies concerned with agricultural waste biomass have concentrated on the several waste biomass such as livestock manure, food waste, and sewage sludge from WWTP (Waste water treatment plant). Especially, the lack of standardization study of BMP assay method has caused the confused comprehension and interpretation in the comparison of BMP results from various researchers. Germany and USA had established the standard methods, VDI 4630 and ASTM E2170-01, for the analysis of BMP and anaerobic organic degradation, respectively. In this review, BMP was defined in the aspect of organic material represented as COD (Chemical oxygen demand) and VS (Volatile solid), and the influence of several parameters on the methane potential of the feedstock was presented. In the investigation of domestic BMP case studies, BMP results of 18 biomass species generating from agriculture and agro-industry were presented. And BMP results of crop species reported from foreign case studies were presented according to the classification system of crops such as food crop, vegetables, oil seed and specialty crop, orchards, and fodder and energy crop. This review emphasizes the urgent need for characterizing the innumerable kind of biomass by their capability on methane production.
Recently, there has been increasing demand for advancing photocatalytic techniques that are capable of the efficient removal of organic pollutants in water. TiO2, a representative photocatalytic material, has been commonly used as an effective photocatalyst, but it is rather expensive and an alternative is required that will fulfill the requirements of both high performing photocatalytic activities and cost-effectiveness. In this work, ZnO, which is more cost effective than TiO2, was synthesized by using a microreactor-assisted nanomaterials (MAN) process. The process enabled a continuous production of ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) with a flower-like structure with high uniformity. In order to resolve the limited light absorption of ZnO arising from its large band gap, Ag NPs were uniformly decorated on the flower-like ZnO surface by using the MAN process. The plasmonic effect of Ag NPs led to a broadening of the absorption range toward visible wavelengths. Ag NPs also helped inhibit the electron-hole recombination by drawing electrons generated from the light absorption of the flower-like ZnO NPs. As a result, the Ag-ZnO nanocomposites showed improved photocatalytic activities compared with the flower-like ZnO NPs. The photocatalytic activities were evaluated through the degradation of methylene blue (MB) solution. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed the successful synthesis of Ag-ZnO nanocomposites with high uniformity. Ag-ZnO nanocomposites synthesized via the MAN process offer the potential for cost-effective and scalable production of next-generation photocatalytic materials.
Recently, as the number of high-resolution satellite SAR images increases, the demand for precise matching of SAR imagesin change detection and image fusion is consistently increasing. RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) values using GCPs (Ground Control Points) selected by analysts have been widely used for quantitative evaluation of image registration results, while it is difficult to find an approach for automatically measuring the registration accuracy. In this study, a feasibility analysis was conducted on using the FSIM (Feature Similarity) index as a measure to evaluate the registration accuracy. TerraSAR-X (TSX) staring spotlight data collected from various incidence angles and orbit directions were used for the analysis. FSIM was almost independent on the spatial resolution of the SAR image. Using a single SAR image, the FSIM with respect to registration errors was analyzed, then use it to compare with the value estimated from TSX data with different imaging geometry. FSIM index slightly decreased due to the differencesin imaging geometry such as different look angles, different orbit tracks. As the result of analyzing the FSIM value by land cover type, the change in the FSIM index according to the co-registration error was most evident in the urban area. Therefore, the FSIM index calculated in the urban was mostsuitable for determining the accuracy of image registration. It islikely that the FSIM index has sufficient potential to be used as an index for the co-registration accuracy of SAR image.

Recently, there has been increasing demand for power quality in power supply devices. The IEC 61000-3-2 standard requires that the AC / DC power supply for lighting meet the specifications for the power factor (PF) and total waveform distortion (THD). In addition, advanced countries in Europe are regulating the ripple rate as 15 ~ 30% for the flicker phenomenon caused by the change in the amount of foot energy due to the change in current of the output terminal. Therefore, domestic standards and regulations are being updated. This study adopted the Flyback converter to satisfy the PFC standard, and has the circuit first and second insulation function. To reduce the low frequency ripple of the LED current, Flyback, Coupled Inductor, LC parallel resonance filter, LLC resonance filter, and Cuk were simulated by PSIM to mimic each LED driving circuit. A coupled LC resonant circuit with a coupled inductor on the primary side and LC resonance on the secondary side was also proposed for output side ripple reduction.

When constructing LNG storage structures using the cast-in-place method in extreme areas, the construction cost and time may be increased due to the poor working environments and conditions. Therefore, demand for modular energy storage tanks is increasing. In this study, we propose using an SCP module as an alternative for lighter-weight LNG storage tanks. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of LNG storage outer tanks by performing bending tests on the thickness of composite steel plate concrete under field conditions. The loads on specimens with thicknesses of 100 mm and 200 mm were linearly increased to the design final loads of 413 kN and 822 kN, respectively. The slope was rapidly changed, and fracture occurred. The two test conditions showed linear behavior until the steel plate yielded, and after an extreme load behavior, sudden yielding of the steel plate yield occurred in the SCP bending test according to the INCA guidelines. The results satisfied the design flexural load and showed the possibility of using the specimens in a modular LNG outer tank. However, it is necessary to evaluate the structural performance of the SCP by performing compression and shear tests in future research.
In this research, we describe the methodology and the quantification about GHG reduction effects, expected by optimization of operation mode according to establishing additional heat storage system of Bundang Combined Cycle Power Plant. As an intermediate form of General Combined Cycle Power Plant and Heat supply only district heating plant, Bundang Combined Cycle Power Plant(and Ilsan, Anyang, Bucheon) is possible to satisfy demand for the electrical load and thermal load capacity at the same time through changes to the operation mode itself. Therefore, through the operating transition of high-efficiency mode that the condenser cooling water is recovered and supplied to district heat and cooling, establishing additional heat storage system have flexible supply ability at the power and heat market. In this research, We calculated using the operating performance for the last three years(2008~2010) and efficiency of each mode-specific values. As a result, GHG reduction effects were calculated as $97.95kg_{-}CO_2/Gcal$ per heat energy 1 Gcal supplied at the heat storage system and we expected emmision reduction effect about $13,500Ton_{-}CO_2/yr$.
'Saiee', which could mean between, intra- and inter-, is a crucial topic in theatre as theatre has tension between actor and audience, reality and illusion, and everyday life and extraordinary life. Especially, it is interesting that the function of 'Saiee' is connected to extension and application of drama and theatre such as educational theatre, dramatherapy and applied drama/theatre. Such works are expected to educational or therapeutic effects, thus concern and support, demand and supply of these works is getting increased. However, it is true that researches on spirit, aesthetic and direction of these works are not sufficient, compared to quantitative increase and diversity. This study will explore Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed(TO from the below), which is key theory and technique of applied drama/theatre field with viewpoint of 'Saiee' theatre to look at spirit, aesthetic and direction of this field. Saiee's energy could observe the object with distance(distance), form the relationship with that object(inter) and create new circumstance through that relationship(intra). And Boal's TO tried to Saiee's theatre by using Saiee's dynamics variously. It bases on the phenomenon of metaxis. Boal's TO believes that drama/theatre is unique nature and ability of human being, that is to say, it is based on Homo Theatrum, human plays and does theatre. Therefore, the participant of Boal's TO is extended to everyone in everyday life. This activity is not only individual work to find his/her identity but also solidarity and possibility to change society which they belong to. It is the dynamics of 'Saiee' to make this possible. Boal's TO thinks that relationship and balance between individuality and sociality is important. The way of conversation in Boal's TO includes questioning, listening and communication. Unfamiliarity or distance of 'Saiee' makes interest in other people and question about them. Questioning through theatre and concern on other beings to search for the answer (this is listening), would be new relationship(and possibility) to extend him/herself. The communication and relationship leads to possibility and ability to create another world. This is the function of 'inter-' and 'intra-' in theatre of 'Saiee'. Lastly, it is various that Boal's TO as 'Saiee' theatre uses the dynamics of 'Saiee'. The diversity of technique comes from the application to humans in every moment and every time. To apply 'Saiee's aesthetic actively, concern and research on people 'now and here' should be proceed.
