Probability of decryption failure of a public key cryptography based on LWE(learning with errors) is determined by its architecture and parameter settings. Since large decryption failure probability leads to attacks[1] on scheme as well as degradation of performance, TiGER[2], a Ring-LWE(R)-based KEM proposed for the first round of KpqC, tried to reduce the decryption failure probability by using error correction code Xef and D2 encoding method. However, D'Anvers et al. has shown that the commonly assumed independence of each bit error is not established since in the case of an encryption scheme based on Ring-LWE(R) using an error correction code, there is error dependency which is not negligible[3]. In this paper, since TiGER does not consider the error dependency, we calcualte the decryption failure probability of TiGER by considering the error dependency. In addition, we found that the bit error probability is incorrectly calculated in TiGER, so we present the correct calculation.

The operating system (OS) of mobiles or embedded devices is based on the Linux kernel. These OSs request random numbers from the Linux kernel for system operation, such as encryption keys and security features. To provide random numbers reliably, the Linux kernel has a dedicated random number generator (Linux Pseudo Random Number Generator, LPRNG). Recently, LPRNG has undergone a major structural changes. However, despite the major changes, no security analysis has been published on the structure of the new LPRNG. Therefore, we analyze these structural changes as a preliminary study to utilize the security analysis of the new LPRNG. Furthermore, the differences between before and after the changes are divided into cryptographic and performance perspectives to identify elements that require security analysis. This result will help us understand the new LPRNG and serve as a base for security analysis.
KMS (Knowledge Management System) is used by various organizations to share information. This KMS includes important information as well as basic information used by each organization. To protect infortant information stored in KMS, many KMS use user identification and authentication features. In such a KMS security environment, if the account information of a user who can access the KMS is leaked, a malicious attacker using the account information can access the KMS and access all authorized important information. In this study, we propose KMS with user access control function that can protect important information even if user account information is leaked. The KMS with the user access control function proposed in this study protects the stored files in the KMS by applying an encryption algorithm. Users can access important documents by using tokens after logging in. A malicious attacker without a Token cannot access important files. As a result of checking the unit function for the target user access control function for effectiveness verification, it was confirmed that the access control function to be provided by KMS is normally provided.

Mobile cloud computing is a very attractive service paradigm that outsources users' data computing and storage from mobile devices to cloud data centers. To protect data privacy, users often encrypt their data to ensure data sharing securely before data outsourcing. However, the bilinear and power operations involved in the encryption and decryption computation make it impossible for mobile devices with weak computational power and network transmission capability to correctly obtain decryption results. To this end, this paper proposes an outsourcing decryption algorithm of verifiable transformed ciphertext. First, the algorithm uses the key blinding technique to divide the user's private key into two parts, i.e., the authorization key and the decryption secret key. Then, the cloud data center performs the outsourcing decryption operation of the encrypted data to achieve partial decryption of the encrypted data after obtaining the authorization key and the user's outsourced decryption request. The verifiable random function is used to prevent the semi-trusted cloud data center from not performing the outsourcing decryption operation as required so that the verifiability of the outsourcing decryption is satisfied. Finally, the algorithm uses the authorization period to control the final decryption of the authorized user. Theoretical and experimental analyses show that the proposed algorithm reduces the computational overhead of ciphertext decryption while ensuring the verifiability of outsourcing decryption.

This paper proposes an artificial intelligence-based personal information area object detection optimization method in an embedded system to de-identify personal information in video data. As an object detection optimization method, first, in order to increase the detection rate for personal information areas when detecting objects, a gyro sensor is used to collect the shooting angle of the image data when acquiring the image, and the image data is converted into a horizontal image through the collected shooting angle. Based on this, each learning model was created according to changes in the size of the image resolution of the learning data and changes in the learning method of the learning engine, and the effectiveness of the optimal learning model was selected and evaluated through an experimental method. As a de-identification method, a shuffling-based masking method was used, and double-key-based encryption of the masking information was used to prevent restoration by others. In order to reuse the original image, the original image could be restored through a security key. Through this, we were able to secure security for high personal information areas and improve usability through original image restoration. The research results of this paper are expected to contribute to industrial use of data without personal information leakage and to reducing the cost of personal information protection in industrial fields using video through de-identification of personal information areas included in video data.

At present, the world is witnessing a rapid change in all the fields of human civilization business interests and goals of all the sectors are changing very fast. Global changes are taking place quickly in all fields - manufacturing, service, agriculture, and external sectors. There are plenty of hurdles in the emerging technologies in agriculture in the modern days. While adopting such technologies as transparency and trust issues among stakeholders, there arises a pressurized necessity on food suppliers because it has to create sustainable systems not only addressing demand-supply disparities but also ensuring food authenticity. Recent studies have attempted to explore the potential of technologies like blockchain and practices for smart and sustainable agriculture. Besides, this well-researched work investigates how a scientific cum technological blockchain architecture addresses supply chain challenges in Precision Agriculture to take up challenges related to transparency traceability, and security. A robust registration phase, efficient authentication mechanisms, and optimized data management strategies are the key components of the proposed architecture. Through secured key exchange mechanisms and encryption techniques, client's identities are verified with inevitable complexity. The confluence of IoT and blockchain technologies that set up modern farms amplify control within supply chain networks. The practical manifestation of the researchers' novel blockchain architecture that has been executed on the Hyperledger network, exposes a clear validation using corroboration of concept. Through exhaustive experimental analyses that encompass, transaction confirmation time and scalability metrics, the proposed architecture not only demonstrates efficiency but also underscores its usability to meet the demands of contemporary Precision Agriculture systems. However, the scholarly paper based upon a comprehensive overview resolves a solution as a fruitful and impactful contribution to blockchain applications in agriculture supply chains.
As the digital environment becomes more complex and cyber attacks become more sophisticated, the importance of data protection is emerging. As various security threats such as data leakage, system intrusion, and authentication bypass increase, secure key management is emerging. Key Management System (KMS) manages the entire encryption key life cycle procedure and is used in various industries. There is a need for a key management system that considers requirements suitable for the environment of various industries including public and finance. The purpose of this paper is to derive the characteristics of the key management system for each industry by comparing and analyzing key management systems used in representative industries. As for the research method, information was collected through literature and technical document analysis and case analysis, and comparative analysis was conducted by industry sector. The results of this paper will be able to provide a practical guide when introducing or developing a key management system suitable for the industrial environment. The limitations are that the analyzed industrial field was insufficient and experimental verification was insufficient. Therefore, in future studies, we intend to conduct specific performance tests through experiments, including key management systems in various fields.

This paper has experimented using News sample video with QCIF ($176{\times}144$) resolution in JM v10.2 code of H.264/AVC-MPEG. The region of interest (ROI) to be encrypted occurred the drift by unnecessarily referring to each frame continuously in accordance with the characteristics of the motion prediction and compensation of the H.264 standard. In order to mitigate the drift, the latest related research method of re-inserting encrypted I-picture into a certain period leads to an increase in the amount of additional computation that becomes the factor increasing the bit-rate overhead of the entire video. Therefore, the reference search range of the block and the frame in the ROI to be encrypted is restricted in the motion prediction and compensation for each frame, and the reference search range in the non-ROI not to be encrypted is not restricted to maintain the normal encoding efficiency. In this way, after encoding the video with restricted reference search range, this article proposes a method of RC4 bit-stream encryption for the ROI such as the face to be able to identify in order to protect personal information in the video. Also, it is compared and analyzed the experimental results after implementing the unencrypted original video, the latest related research method, and the proposed method in the condition of the same environment. In contrast to the latest related research method, the bit-rate overhead of the proposed method is 2.35% higher than that of the original video and 14.93% lower than that of the latest related method, while mitigating temporal drift through the proposed method. These improved results have verified by experiments of this study.
Today, the SSL protocol has been used as core part in various computing environments or security systems. But, the SSL protocol has several problems, because of the rigidity on operating. First, SSL protocol brings considerable burden to the CPU utilization so that performance of the security service in encryption transaction is lowered because it encrypts all data which is transferred between a server and a client. Second, SSL protocol can be vulnerable for cryptanalysis due to the key in fixed algorithm being used. Third, it is difficult to add and use another new cryptography algorithms. Finally. it is difficult for developers to learn use cryptography API(Application Program Interface) for the SSL protocol. Hence, we need to cover these problems, and, at the same time, we need the secure and comfortable method to operate the SSL protocol and to handle the efficient data. In this paper, we propose the SSL component which is designed and implemented using CBD(Component Based Development) concept to satisfy these requirements. The SSL component provides not only data encryption services like the SSL protocol but also convenient APIs for the developer unfamiliar with security. Further, the SSL component can improve the productivity and give reduce development cost. Because the SSL component can be reused. Also, in case of that new algorithms are added or algorithms are changed, it Is compatible and easy to interlock. SSL Component works the SSL protocol service in application layer. First of all, we take out the requirements, and then, we design and implement the SSL Component, confidentiality and integrity component, which support the SSL component, dependently. These all mentioned components are implemented by EJB, it can provide the efficient data handling when data is encrypted/decrypted by choosing the data. Also, it improves the usability by choosing data and mechanism as user intend. In conclusion, as we test and evaluate these component, SSL component is more usable and efficient than existing SSL protocol, because the increase rate of processing time for SSL component is lower that SSL protocol's.

A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN for short) is a wireless network consisting of distributed small devices which are called sensor nodes or motes. Recently, there has been an extensive research on WSN and also on its security. For secure storage and secure transmission of the sensed information, sensor nodes should be equipped with cryptographic algorithms. Moreover, these algorithms should be efficiently implemented since sensor nodes are highly resource-constrained devices. There are already some existing algorithms applicable to sensor nodes, including public key ciphers such as TinyECC and standard block ciphers such as AES. Stream ciphers, however, are still to be analyzed, since they were only recently standardized in the eSTREAM project. In this paper, we implement over the MicaZ platform nine software-based stream ciphers out of the ten in the second and final phases of the eSTREAM project, and we evaluate their performance. Especially, we apply several optimization techniques to six ciphers including SOSEMANUK, Salsa20 and Rabbit, which have survived after the final phase of the eSTREAM project. We also present the implementation results of hardware-oriented stream ciphers and AES-CFB fur reference. According to our experiment, the encryption speeds of these software-based stream ciphers are in the range of 31-406Kbps, thus most of these ciphers are fairly acceptable fur sensor nodes. In particular, the survivors, SOSEMANUK, Salsa20 and Rabbit, show the throughputs of 406Kbps, 176Kbps and 121Kbps using 70KB, 14KB and 22KB of ROM and 2811B, 799B and 755B of RAM, respectively. From the viewpoint of encryption speed, the performances of these ciphers are much better than that of the software-based AES, which shows the speed of 106Kbps.
